How does it work?

The entire experience lasts about 2 hours from pick-up to drop-off. Check-in begins with approximately 30 minutes to enjoy the photo booth and holiday sweets before boarding. You will then take a 20-minute trolley ride from Waikiki to Honolulu Hale to explore the Honolulu City Lights displays. Afterward, the tour continues to Thomas Square, where guests can enjoy Show Aloha Land’s illuminated tunnels, glowing trees, and many local vendors. The trolley will then return to Waikiki at the end of your visit.

Expert local tips

• Children of all ages, including infants, are welcome, but please ensure that small children remain seated with an adult at all times during the trolley ride.
• If possible, leave strollers at your hotel since space is limited. Strollers may not be permitted on board depending on crowd size.
• Seats on the trolley are first-come, first-served, so arrive early to secure the spot you want. The open-air design ensures great views from every seat.
• Restrooms are available at both the check-in location and Honolulu Hale. However, lines at Honolulu Hale can be long, so using the facilities before boarding is recommended.
• Food and drinks can be purchased at Honolulu Hale, but please remember that eating and drinking are not permitted on the trolley.

How to get there?

To reach the Waikiki check-in location from most major hotels, head toward Kalakaua Avenue, which runs parallel to the beach. Walk to the intersection with Lewers Street, just a short distance from the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Depending on your starting point, the walk will take approximately 5 to 15 minutes.

Guests driving to the pick-up location can find paid parking at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center or nearby parking structures. Please note that parking validation is not provided.

The check-in area is also easily accessible by public transportation, as well as taxi and rideshare services.
