Paradise Cove Luau on the Beach at Ko Olina Resort
Overall Rating
4.63The Second Time
Reviewed by: Russ Matthews, 2012/10/14This was the second time that we had attended this event. The first time was in 2010 right after we got married on the beach.
This time, we brought another couple as told them just how great of an event that it would be and you would be sorry if you did not attend.
After the Luau, they both agreed that it was worth the time and money. The shops are great, the events are wonderful, the food is superb, and the show is fantastic.
I would recommend this Luau to whomever I see and/or states that they are going to Hawaii.
Last but surely not least, the lady (Bev) that was assigned to us for the evening was just the cherry on top of the Sunday. She needs to be praised for her wit, professionalism, her personality, and maybe even her dance (I would give her a 8.5).
May you continue to provide the, "Best Luau on the Island!"
Once again, "We will be back" and thank you.

LOVED IT!
Reviewed by: Rebecca Fletcher, 2012/10/05I was a little anxious about picking out a luau because of how long they all are. However, the Paradise Cove luau has lots of activities so you don't have to worry about getting bored. We got the basic package with no frills and there was plenty to enjoy. The drinks were great, the buffet was just wonderful, the dancers were amazing--it was my favorite event of our trip! I even got on the stage for the hula dance lesson!

Happy Birthday to Me!
Reviewed by: Vilma Garibaldi, 2012/09/21The Luau is so much fun, they have some games, and you can ride a canoe, take pictures with some beautiful birds, and there are jewerly that you can buy. I love this purple earrings that I bought! The food is good, but the drinks are water down. I would defintely go again. Hey when your in Hawaii you gots to go to a Laua. Also our activity guy was cuzin Mo, and if you get him, he is sooo funny! He made our ride to the Luau(about 30mins or so)not boring at all. He was singing and making jokes and everything. So if you get him, your very LUCY!

Had a blast!!
Reviewed by: Aimee, 2012/09/03Cousin Flo was our guide and she made the experience 10x better. She got everyone pumped up and ready for the luau. When we arrived, they took our picture (available for $15 at the end of the night) and we got our complimentary mai tai drink (alcohol/non alcohol). They gave us over an hour to wander off on our own and do activities. Ladies make sure you get a flower headband made!
Use your time wisely. Waiting in line to do an activity can take up to 15 minutes. We waited in line for another drink for about 20 minutes. Keep in mind while you're doing the activities they have you listen for the sound of the shell. You have to drop what youre doing and follow that person for a demonstration. Thats the only downfall i felt there was too much going on. It took away some time from taking pictures and soaking up the view.
The food was good and the show was amazing. The view is breathtaking especially at sunset. You're sitting outside right by the water. Its a great experience. Ive be

Great Luau!
Reviewed by: Miss. Aussie, 2012/04/03Fantastic food... and when you're booking a luau - that's I guess - what you REALLY look for. You're guaranteed to feel full and satisfied, probably the best food I've had at a luau.
The pre-entertainment is fun - something for everyone to try and watching them carry the pig out of the ground as the sun sets is pretty magical! What an amazing venue - the sunset is spectacular there and the staff are all fun (and gorgeous!!!!)

MUST DO!!!
Reviewed by: Emily Garcia, 2012/03/15I saved this luau for my last night in Hawaii and I booked the deluxe package and highly recommend it to anyone who can afford to spend the $150. It was definitely an awesome deal!
Tusi was our party guide. Awesome gorgeous guy that cracked jokes all night long.
Arriving at Paradise Cove we were immediately greeted with drinks (if you're 21+) and leis. If you are 21+ you'll need to bring your ID. Included in the deluxe package is a complimentary photo with some of the luau dancers (otherwise you pay $15). All the dancers are very attractive so you'll want this ;)
We arrived around 5pm and the actual dinner doesn't start until 7pm. You can snack before hand, but the dinner is SO good and filling that you might not have room for the whole meal if you eat before hand.
From 5-7pm they have all types of complimentary activities including temporary hawaiian tattoos, flower bracelet/headband crafts, canoe rides, shower of flower event, hula lessons, etc...
Make sure you bring money to

GOOD TIMES!!
Reviewed by: Repeat Offender, 2012/01/27This was my third luau at Paradise Cove; it was a impressive as the first time I attended. The experience was well-organized and enjoyable; starting and ending with the shuttle ride to and fro. This was the first time with kids, what a memorable family experience, not just a couple’s thing. The food, sites, sounds, entertainment and staff provide a cultural experience that is unique and authentic; not to mention the picturesque views from the cove - fabulous. If you are contemplating a luau while on the island, this is the one you want to attend. Good times!!

The whole tour, from initial booking via Hawai Activities, to collection from our hotel, transport, and the Luau experience at Paradise Cove was sensational!
The tour guide Pomai was entertaining and knowledgable and 'included' everyone as a family unit. The staff at Paradise Cove were friendly and helpful and their enthusiasm and smiles made the experience unique and breathtaking.
The hospitality, food and entertainment was second to none.
One of our best holiday experiences ever!!!!

Lovely Luau
Reviewed by: Russ & Barb, 2010/10/02We reviewed this Luau on the internet prior to our arrival and felt that this was the one and we were sincerely not disappointed. In fact, this was our second Luan during our stay and I assure you that this one is and was the best.
Not only was our Luau experience the best the drive to and from the event on bus #5 was fantastic. The driver was U and the guide/orator was Pompani (I think). You should have at least ten (10) Pompani’s since he made the experience a time to remember.
He was courteous, experienced, and a real performer. He was able to make the trip to and from one to remember. In addition the Luau, performance, food, and location were fantastic. We would sincerely recommend this to anyone that we will interface with if they want places to go on their Hawaiian vacation.
Please let Pompani know that he made the evening one to remember and do whatever it takes to keep him on your staff.

What you'd want in a Luau!
Reviewed by: Catherine, 2010/09/21I loved the Paradise Cove Luau! It's location is beautiful! A sunset party on a private beach is a great way to start off your Hawaiian vacation! I went to the luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center years ago, and the festivities were very nice, but there were no cocktails, and no beach. At Paradise Cove, it really felt like a party. I even got a Hula certificate for coming on stage to learn! We booked the Orchid (middle) level, and it seemed just right. I love the orchid leis that we received. If there was one thing I would like to change, it was that even though 3 drinks were "included" in my package, almost every drink still cost $1-$6 extra. I expected only to pay gratuity out-of-pocket when I got there. Overall, though, I had a great time!
