We took the ferry from Maui to Lanai for a day. It was a good ferry rid in the morning but it was a little shaky in the evening due to the ocean. Lanai is a very small place. "What happens in Lanai stays in Lanai and it can happen twice", said the Lanai people.

Had a rainy start to the morning, but it ended up a beautiful day. Started with a trip out from shore to try and see some whales. Sadly we didn't see any, but we were able to hear them calling under us, which was amazing! Snorkeling was great, rusty was able to point out to us some of the reef life that often gets missed and was great about getting us into the water. Great time!

The expedition ship was comfortable. The seats on the deck can sway a bit, so I recommend indoor seats on the first floor for those who are prone to seasickness.

I took the first morning trip and was able to see the sunrise, which was lovely. Since I went in February, I also spotted whales jumping in the distance.

Because it was winter, the waves in Full Poi Bay were strong, and I couldn't enjoy snorkeling much, but the lunch at Four Seasons was exquisite, and I spent a lovely time with a great view.

I was looking forward to seeing dolphins, but it seems they had come late the previous evening and didn't show up in the morning. They often appear in the morning and around 4:00 PM.

After getting off the boat, there is a shuttle bus to Lanai City, and I decided to check it out. However, it costs $25 for a round trip, and in the morning, nothing was open, so there was nothing to see. I felt a bit deceived, but there's nothing I can do about it.

It might have been better during the day. If you're going in winter, it might be better to go not on the first morning trip but to stay from around noon to the evening.

船を降りたらラナイシティにいくシャトルバスがあるのですが、なんとなく行ってみてしまったのですが一人往復$25もする上に、朝はどこも開いておらず何も見るものがありませんでした。騙された気分ですがしょうがありません。
昼間だったらもう少しよかったかも。
冬場に行くなら朝一の便じゃなくて、昼ぐらいから夕方までいるのがいいかもしれませんね。

Enjoyed this tremendously! The sunrise at Haleakala is as spectacular as everyone says it is.
Our guide (Bob) had a lot of humour, was well-informed and passionate, and gave us the freedom to go where we wanted to during the actual sunrise instead of having to stay at a designated spot.
Included breakfast was decent too.
The early wake-up is well worth it. Don't miss this when you're on Maui.

The scenery along Road to Hana is nice, it's an impressive ride. We got to stop where possible, and the driver tried to add some little spots here and there for quick extra photo opportunities.
I was most impressed with the final part of the road that nobody seems to mentions: the part after the Seven Pools which goes through the barren drier south side of the Haleakala. I liked this scenery a lot!

Be aware: if you want to stay on a budget: lunch is very expensive at the chosen restaurant. I brought my own lunch, which turned out to be the right choice.

This was by FAR our best experience on Maui. We booked last minute and Skyline Eco accommodated us. The employees are extremely welcoming and warm. I noticed many older people felt a bit uncomfortable jumping from the zipline and Anthony really helped calm them. I felt like I was in great company too! We really lucked out and got a great group as well. The guys also showed us some of the plants along the trail. I was so excited when they pointed out fresh guava fruit! We honestly had such a great experience and left with huge grins on our faces. If you have limited time and a limited budget, choose these guys. You won't be disappointed!

We wanted to do something fun and exciting in the water while visiting Maui. We chose this adventure after hearing some great things about this excursion. Let me tell you, it was really fun! Not only did we get to snorkel and relax on the boat, but we also got to whale watch. The food is okay, but you're going for the actual snorkeling! We saw many sea animals and had a great time. You can tell the people running the operation really love their jobs. They sincerely care about the passengers on board. One woman in particular was extremely inviting and personally approached me just to talk. Wonderful day!

My experience at the Atlantis submarine was splendid. Unbelievable experience that I would definitely repeat again amd again. Till this moment I think the trip was a dream to me. I think it was a dream, it wasn't real J.
unfortunately, Saudi Arabia is far far away from Maui and repeating the fantastic experience is somehow not easy. I strongly recommend people of all ages, all backgrounds to try the submarine. I posted all photos on my instagram and followes are so surprized that they think it was unreal !!!

When it comes to this season on Maui, it's all about whale watching. This time, I participated in an early morning plan that gathered at Lahaina Harbor at 7:00 AM. Since the tour was guided only in English, all the other passengers were foreigners except for us.

Although I couldn't fully catch what the guide was explaining due to my limited listening skills, the sunrise view from the boat was incredibly beautiful. We were able to see whales jumping here and there, and I had a refreshing and fulfilling time.

Waking up early is worth it. This early morning plan is also reasonably priced, so I personally highly recommend it! I definitely want to join this tour again when I visit Maui.

*When I arrived right on time at the Lahaina Cruise Company booth, there was already a large crowd. It's an easy place to find without any confusion.
*On the cruise ship, coffee and light snacks are also available for sale, so you can feel at ease even if you're hungry.

The waters around Maui were calm because they are surrounded by islands. There were whales everywhere, and I was wondering which one to see up close. The schedule was perfectly on time. The course we chose departed at noon, but since we had to spend a lot of time outside the boat while watching the whales, the sunlight was quite strong, so I recommend a course that finishes in the morning. It seems that more whales will be coming in mid-February. Our Japanese guide, Taka, was very kind and taught us many things. Thank you very much.

I purchased in advance despite the lack of discounts because I was supposed to receive a souvenir coupon and a ceramic mug coupon. However, I found out that I needed to spend over $35 on souvenirs to qualify.

There was a priority entrance lane for advance purchasers at the entrance, but it wasn't functioning, and the list verification took a long time. I don't think there are any benefits to purchasing in advance.

As soon as we set sail, we encountered several whales near the city, and we ventured quite far, making for a fulfilling two hours. Thanks to choosing the early morning plan, not only was the price affordable, but we also enjoyed a beautiful sunrise, and the boat was not crowded, allowing us to move around to see the whales in different directions. Additionally, we were able to easily park at the Public Parking near the dock.

Attended the 7am tour: first van, then helicopter. We were paired with another family of three.

Beautiful scenery, articulate tour guide named Sue, delicious and filling light lunch, and the helicopter ride was unsurprisingly a treat (lasted around 20-30 min). See my photos of both the Road to Hana van ride and helicopter ride for reference. The best is going into the sky on a partially overcast day, because the pilot will take you cloud-surfing.

The whole tour lasted around four hours.

Amazing Experience

I spent a few hours researching activities to do during our honeymoon to Maui. We decided that due to the exorbitant cost of drinks in any resort or restaurant we decided that an open bar cruise was going to be a great and cost effective experience.

I wasn't disappointed! The cruise was absolutely awesome. We saw at least 25 whales throughout the course of the evening which was fantastic.

The drinks were top notch as well. They had a huge number different top shelf liquors and made great drinks all night.

The crew was fantastic. They went over the top to take care of everybody's needs and made sure everyone was having a great time. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone that wants to see gorgeous views, enjoy great drinks, and have an awesome crew.

At the time, I didn't know that the whale watching season runs from December to May, so I was really worried whether we would actually see any since it had just turned December. As expected, no whales appeared no matter how long we waited. The guide also mentioned that we might not see any, but in the end, a mother and baby whale showed up. Ultimately, it turned out to be a satisfying tour.

We booked this cruise as a celebration for our engagement, and could not have been more pleased with the experience. The boat left a little later than posted, closer to 5:15, but it was good that they told us to arrive at 4:45 so we were not late, and others didnt slow us down. The crew welcomed us, gave us a run down on emergency procedures and rules, and we set sail! It was gorgeous out on the water. Jason, our captain, kept everyone informed and excited about the whales around us. We really appreciated that. They gave us a shout out over the PA for our engagement, and everyone toasted to our happiness. The crew, bartenders, captain and staff all made us feel special. The food was delicious, especially the shrimp and the artichoke dip. Full open bar (no champagne, but great wine and booze selection) and cheese platters, fruit, dessert. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Aloha, we (my boyfriend and I) are residents of Maui and attended the pride of Maui dinner/cocktail cruise for my pre birthday celebration this past Saturday. It was quite enjoyable despite the larger swells as we headed out along the coast. The food was fantastic, the crew was friendly and the bar was all you can drink so we were content. We enjoyed the experience for the deal that we were able to receive but I beleive if we had to pay full price we wouldn't have enjoyed it as much and would hope to expect more out of the experience. No one can help the weather or the ocean conditions but it felt like we were on a snorkeling boat standing up or sitting with no table eating dinner so it was a little steep in my opinion.

We were blessed with good weather, and it was a fun tour that we could participate in with peace of mind. I was surprised by the phone call the day before regarding the change in tour time (all in English), but I managed to understand and get through it. On the day of the tour, it was great that a Japanese staff member was on board to provide detailed advice.
