Amazing experience!
Reviewed by: Lucy, 2022/03/21Great experience. The crew was great, full of information about marine life. They took us to amazing shallow reefs off of Lanai and there were no other boats around at all. Saw sea turtles and octopus. They also made sure to get us to see whales and since it's late March, they were everywhere. We followed some pods and got to see them go under the boat. Incredibly professional as well, helpful for getting gear on for those we have never snorkeled before. Wetsuits available for rental which was great to use in the water since it gets cold after a while. Breakfast, nonalcoholic drinks, snacks available, BYOB and you can store stuff in their huge cooler.

Great sunset cruise!
Reviewed by: Anh, 2022/03/11This was a great sunset cruise along the coast of Maui. There was unlimited drinks on board and the staff was very attentive with getting you refills. I believe the food on board was catered from Joey's Kitchen and we had some pulled pork sliders, brussel sprouts, and chicken wings - they all tasted great. I would highly recommend this sunset cruise but make sure to book early because it sells out quick.

Maui Off Road Adventures - Lahaina ATV Tour with Solo & Group Rides Option
Radical Ride
Reviewed by: Fitschen, 2022/02/16Our daughter said the adventure was"radical". My husband felt like a kid again driving the trails and hitting every root, hill and rock to make our ride exciting. Trevor was a great guide. My highlight was planting a tree to help replace the rainforest. Joffery spoke well saying that "if not us then who? and when than now". Thanks again for the chance to experience the nature of Maui in memory as well as fun.

Excellent evening!

It was magical experience! We saw more whales on this evening cruise than we had seen on our earlier whale watching cruise. The live music was very good. A wonderful morning whale watching!
Reviewed by: Denise, 2022/02/05Our captain found great whale groupings. We watched mothers and babies play, tails out of the water and a couple of jumps. The boat had snacks/drinks and bathrooms. I went with my 11 and 8 year old children, it was a perfect morning.

Awesome Whale Watching Experience!
Reviewed by: Jaclyn, 2022/01/14This was a wonderful whale watching tour, we loved every minute of it. The guide was very informative, we have done other whale watching tours, but non as thorough in their explanations of all things whale. Other tours we have been on have had more interactive crew members aside from the captain, this one did not. But it was kind of nice to have a very relaxed, more calm experience. We saw whales as soon as we got on the boat practically, and the captain was good about not waiting around for whales for too long, but we would keep looking. The captain said this boat is the largest boat on the island, and at one point during our trip, a whale went under our boat to find shade! There are chairs set up around tables on the top deck which is nice to just sit and relax. One recommendation is to leave extra time for parking, as it gets crowded near the harbor. And it can be a little challenging to find, it is a hut outside right by the boats, I think it’s the last one in the line of whale watching tours, right across from Pioneer Inn. We had a great time, we would definitely go on one of their tours again!

Play & Swim Family Adventure - Jungle Treasure Hunt for Kids
Awesome time!

We had a blast, and most importantly - so did the kids! They were so into the treasure hunt and loved hiking through “the jungle.” Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Hawaii with kids and wanting to experience it all!

We got lucky and saw a breach close to the boat
Reviewed by: Gabriel, 2022/01/08The captain does a great job of finding the whales and creating opportunities to let the whales approach. Very friendly staff made us feel welcome. The only thing I have concerns with is the lack of ability to social distance or avoid touching high traffic handrails due to safety, but luckily we brought our own hand sanitizer (which I recommend). Overall a great trip, and everyone in my group had a great time.

Tourism that supports the scientific community
Reviewed by: Trini, 2022/01/07We had a family excursion and it was perfect. As we had 2 elderly family members, we loved that the boat was double decked so there was always shade for them. We also liked that the excursion has a ton of great photo opportunities of the ocean and mainland, so we got some awesome family photos. The best part of the trip though was the fact that parts of the revenue goes towards funding researchers who are working on studying the whale populations, which makes you feel good at the end of the day about the purchase, even if you don't get to see the whales up close.

Great family activity while you're in Lahaina!
Reviewed by: Justin, 2022/01/07I went on this trip with my family (6 adults, 2 of whom are a bit older). It was something we could all enjoy. The best part of the trip was seeing a close up whale breach, but it does come down to luck... I imagine some people might only end up seeing fins during their excursion, but even though we got to see an up close breach on our trip, the captain invited us to stay on for their second outing that day in case we missed it so we were guaranteed to be happy (super nice of him).
Recommend you to definitely bring sunglasses and a cap as its really bright out and fatigues the eyes.

We did not want a big dinner because there are so many special local restaurants to try on Maui. Then we stumbled upon Sea Maui. It is perfect. A relaxing ride on a catamaran. Taking in the sunset. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The apps are still filled with local foods. Every time we go to Maui, we try to book with Sea Maui. it was just what we were looking for and more.

Fun, historical, traditional

This luau was the only one I could find with openings. The show itself was very fun and interesting. It gave us some background about Hawaiian culture and history. The food was just ok. All drinks are included (even alcoholic ones). It’s definitely pricey, but overall it’s a fun Hawaii-specific experience.

I would say save your money. The most exciting part of the show were the fire dancers, but they performed at the end of the show and only for a few minutes.

Maui to Lanai Snorkel Cruise with Optional Underwater Sea Scooter Upgrade
Great experience
Reviewed by: Osidemike, 2021/12/18This was one of the highlights of our trip to Maui. The adventure began about 7 AM, on time, and we were shuttled to the boat in a small dinghy with the boarding of the small shuttle being an interesting and fun experience. The captain and crew provide everything that is needed to have a great time including snorkel and mask and fins. Wetsuit tops are available. Flotation devices were available if needed. In fact it is best not to bring too much equipment since boarding the dinghy may cause some of your belongings to get a bit wet. Willow, the captains mate, gave us a safety talk and off we went on our adventure to Lanai. The two dive spots were wonderful. We were able to do some spectacular whale watching on our way to the dive spots and on our return trip. Snacks and drinks were perfect. All in all this was a well run adventure and one of the high points of the trip was Willow with her bubbly personality and friendly demeanor. My spouse and I recommend this trip highly for both experienced snorkelers and beginners. At the end of the journey we left a well-deserved gratuity since we were so impressed with the entire operation. We are sure that, if you take this trip with Kaanapali ocean adventures, you will be thrilled with the entire experience just as we were. As a final note, the adventure begins early in the morning. There is parking available at every hotel that is free and is identified as “beach access parking“. There are only about 20 spots available at each hotel but, since the adventure begins so early in the morning, we had no trouble finding these free parking spots. If you park in the parking structure the cost of a days worth of parking is around $40. In addition, the organization will send a text the day before the trip to inform you of items you need to bring and specific instructions on where to meet.

Beautiful Sunset.
Reviewed by: tom, 2021/12/15Fairly new boat. Open bar with beer and cocktails. The crew served you as much as you want. The sail was 2hrs. It was mostly powered. They did open up a small sail in the front which was cool. They served a Kalua pork sandwich. The sandwich could have been warmer. The sunset was beautiful and it was worth the money to see that from on the ocean.

AMAZING! Whales in first 5 minutes!!

We were able to spot whales within the first 5 minutes and actually saw multiple humpbacks and dolphins! The crew was so wonderful and knowledgeable!! I would definitely recommend 1000 times!!!!
