We had a “whaley” good time! Two humpback whales swam around, under, and emerged out of the water right next to our boat, swimming around us for about 20 minutes! We were fortunate to have a prolonged close-up encounter, within feet of these beautiful creatures. A large group of dolphins also swam by, jumping in and out of the water! The views were outstanding and our guides were a lot of fun, informative and very friendly! (I even dropped my sunglasses in the ocean and one of our guides managed to grab them before they sank-above and beyond!) The drinks and appetizers were delicious, and to top it off there were beautiful rainbows along the coast as we sailed along the sea! Sea Maui Sunset Sail was wonderful and our FAVORITE thing we did in Maui!

I participated in the early morning plan because the price was a bit cheaper and I wanted to make effective use of my time. It was great that the public parking in Lahaina was available at that time.

Even if you don't understand English, it's fine since you're just there to see the whales. It was easy to understand when everyone pointed at the spouts. You can see spouts here and there. I didn't see any big jumps, but I did see tails and fins.

I checked in 30 minutes early, but I had to wait about an hour before boarding. We departed about 30 minutes later than scheduled, so I think the subsequent departure times were also delayed.

I brought a jacket, but the weather was relatively nice, and it wasn't cold even in short sleeves.

料金が少し安いのと時間を有効に使いたかったので、早朝プランに参加しました。この時間だとラハイナの公共駐車場も空いていたので良かったです。
英語が分からなくてもクジラを見るだけなので大丈夫です。潮吹きなど皆が指を差すので分かりやすかったです。あちらこちらで潮吹きは見られます。大ジャンプは見られなかったですが、尾やヒレは見れました。
30分前にチェックインでしたが、乗船するまで1時間程待たされました。予定の出航時間より30分ほど遅れたので、以降の出航時刻もずれ込んだと思います。
上着は持参しましたが、比較的天気も良く半袖でも寒くなかったです。

We saw so many whales and the crew was fabulous! We will do this again.

It was a cold day with rain coming and going, and I underestimated that, so I couldn't enjoy it 100%. However, it would have been perfect if I had a hat and a down jacket. There were hardly any Japanese people, and if you don't understand English, it can be difficult to grasp the content of the performance. However, the venue is compact, making it easy to grab drinks and food from the buffet anytime and the restrooms are close, which is comfortable. The number of show dancers is on the lower side, so it may not be an overwhelmingly impressive show overall, but the final fire dance was worth the entire ticket price, showcasing the craftsmanship of the dancers. The front seats are VIP, and the priority entry was smooth and good, but the regular seats are not that much inferior.

とにかく雨が降ったり止んだりの寒い日だったことを甘く見てしまったので100%良さを楽しめなかったですが、帽子とダウンジャケットでもあれば完璧でした。日本人はほぼいなくて英語が分からないと演出内容が分かり難いこともありますが、まず会場内がコンパクトでドリンクや食事のビュッフェもいつでも何回でも取りに行きやすいしお手洗いも近いの快適です。ショーダンサーの人数は少なめなので全体的には圧巻のショー演出と言えるほどでないかもしれませんが、最後のファイヤーダンスはこれだけでも全金額を払う価値を感じるほど職人技のダンサーが見れました。
前方席はVIPで、優先入場もスムーズで良かったですが通常の席でもそれほど劣る訳ではありません。

I think how close you can see them depends on luck. However, there are plenty of whales, so there are many chances to see them. They show various movements and are quite adorable. Even if I couldn't understand much of the guide's explanations during the English tour, just being able to see the whales was exciting enough, so I had a great time.

Depending on the sea conditions, the wind out at sea can be strong, and it was quite cold while watching the whales from the deck. I'm glad I brought my down jacket from Japan! Next time, I want to see them even closer.

どのぐらい近くで見られるかは時の運かと思います。しかしクジラはたくさんいるのでかなりの数のチャンスはあります。そしていろいろな動きを見せてくれて可愛いです。英語ツアーであまりガイドの説明は分からなくてもクジラに会えるだけでかなり興奮するので問題なく楽しめました。
海の状況にもよりますが沖の風は強く、それでも甲板にてクジラを見続けたかたのでかなり寒かったですが、日本から持って行ったダウンジャケットを持っていて正解でした！次はもっともっと近くで見たいと思いました。

This was our first luau. We didn't know exactly what to expect, but it was very enjoyable. Great food and plenty of it. Good cultural historical experience.

Five minutes after departing, whales started appearing one after another! They were incredibly close, and it was amazing! I was lucky, but I definitely want to participate again when I come back to Maui!

I participated this week. I was given headphones for the audio guide, but the audio guide was not available in Japanese channels, nor in Chinese or Korean. My mother and my two daughters were disappointed because they were told there would be a Japanese guide, but it didn't play. I also applied under the assumption that there would be a Japanese guide, and I feel very dissatisfied. Please convey this to the organizing company so they can address it in the future.

今週こちら参加してきました。
音声ガイド用のヘッドフォンを渡されたのですが、日本語チャンネルだけではなく中・韓などの言語のチャンネルも音声ガイドは流れませんでした。
母と娘二人に日本語ガイドがあるからといっていたのにガイドが流れずに残念がっていました。
私も日本語ガイドがあるという前提で申し込んだのに大変不満を感じております。今後は善処するよう主催会社にお伝えください。

I visit Hawaii every year, but embarrassingly, this was my first time on Maui. Since winter in Maui is known for whale watching, I woke up early to participate. The reason for the early morning plan was to ensure parking at the public parking lot and to go for brunch afterward.

The crew definitely helped us spot whales, and their explanations about their behavior, including when the next jump would happen, were spot on. I truly enjoyed the experience. I believe the cost performance is excellent as well. Please be generous with tips when disembarking.

毎年ハワイに来ますが恥ずかしながらマウイ島は初めて。マウイ島の冬はホエールウォチングということで、早起きして参加しました。早朝プランと早起きの理由は、パブリックパーキングに確実に駐車すること、終了後ブランチに行くことにしていた為です。
クルーは確実にクジラを発見してくれ、その生態から次にジャンプが来る等の説明も的確で本当に堪能しました。
コストパフォーマンス的にも最高かと思われます。下船時にはチップを弾んでください。

My first whale watching experience! I had always wanted to see it at least once. In February, I went to Maui. Since it was the season, my expectations were high! However, the tour times and arrival times were a bit tricky, and I wasn't sure when to book. I particularly wanted to know which time would be best for viewing. In the end, I decided to join the tour at 2 PM, which had English announcements and seemed to fit my schedule. The tour captains were indeed professionals. They communicated with other boats and searched around, ultimately taking us to a spot where we could see the whales up close. I was pleasantly surprised; I didn't need to brace myself for disappointment. It was more about trusting the process rather than worrying! I was moved to see them up close. It was a satisfying tour.

初めてのホェールウオッチング！一度は観てみたいと思ってました。2月にマウイ島へ。
ちょうどシーズンということで、期待は大！
でもツアー時間と到着時間が微妙でいつ取ればいいのか。特にどの時間が見やすいのか。どうせなら見やすい時間に参加したいと思ったのですがよく解らずで…。結局は時間的に間に合いそうな英語アナウンスの午後2時からに参加しました。でもツアーキャプテン達はやはりプロでした。周りの船と情報交換しながらあちこちを探して、結果近くに見えるところまで連れて行ってくれました。あまりだったね…なんて覚悟はいりませんでした。心配するより信じろ！でしたね。近くで見れて感動しました。満足できるツアーでした。

We loved it. First timer. We will recommend to our friends. Good was lukewrm but good. Desserts were superb. Grounds are gorgeous.

I parked my car at a nearby free parking lot and walked a bit to check in at the counters of various companies (the Lahaina Cruise counter is the farthest from the free parking lot). Since I had already made the payment in advance, I just had to provide my name and sign in, which made the check-in process very easy!

Once on board, the guide shared various interesting facts about whales and provided services even before we spotted any. When the whales finally appeared, they would say, "They've come out in the direction of 〜 o'clock!" so I didn't miss anything at all. When I saw a whale jump right in front of me and got to see the beautiful island of Maui from the ocean, I truly felt that it was worth signing up for this experience.

The guide spoke entirely in English, but I found it wasn't too difficult to understand. If you're concerned, it seems you can also request a Japanese guide, so it might be worth considering.

It was a very enjoyable whale watching experience.

近くの無料駐車場に車を停めて、少し歩いたら見えてくる各会社のカウンターでチェックイン（ラハイナ・クルーズのカウンターは無料駐車場からは一番遠いところにあります）。
事前に支払いも済ませていたので、名前を伝えて記帳するだけでチェックインが終わり、とても楽でした！

いざ乗船するとガイドさんがクジラに関するいろいろな豆知識を教えてくれたり、クジラが見えないうちにもサービスをしてくれます。
いざクジラが現れると「〜時の方向に出てきたよ！」と伝えてくれて、見逃すことは一切なかったです。
目の前でジャンプを見られた時、沖から綺麗なマウイ島を見られた時は、本当に申し込んでよかったと思いました。

ガイドさんはもちろん全て英語でお話をしてくれますが、そこまで聞くのが難しいことはなかったです。
不安であれば日本語ガイドも申し込めるようなので、検討してみるといいかもしれません。

とても楽しいホエールウォッチングになりました。

Our captain (Emily) and crew were fantastic hosts! They educated us on the hump back whale while entertaining us with great stories, food and drink. Good time had by all!
Highly recommend this tour.

The sign for Lahaina Cruise Company doesn't appear until quite close to the meeting point, making it very hard to find. The ticket booth, which looks like a small hut, is usually closed and only opens a few minutes before the tour starts, at which point you can finally see the company name above the window. The procedure for receiving tickets after all participants sign in is not mentioned, which is unhelpful. However, the content of the tour is truly wonderful; with years of experience, the guide quickly spots whales beneath the surface and announces their direction through the microphone. We were able to see an incredible number of whales, including three blowing water and some that raised their upper bodies above the surface for a while. The guide also provides explanations about whale ecology and geography in between sightings, making it a very satisfying tour if you understand English.

ラハイナクルーズカンパニーという看板が結構直前にならないと出ないので、集合場所が非常に分かりにくいです。小屋のようなチケット販売ブースで普段は閉まっており、ツアースタートの何十分か前にオープンすると窓の上に同社名がはじめて確認できます。そのブースで参加者全員記名の上、チケットを受け取るという手順も書かれていないため不親切です。ツアーの中身は大変素晴らしく、長年の勘で水面下のクジラを素早く見つけては何時の方向だとマイクでアナウンスしてくれます。親子3頭の潮吹きや上半身をしばらく水面上に出す仕草など、本当に飽きるほどたくさんのクジラを見ることができました。クジラの生態や地理的な説明も合間を縫ってしてくれるので、英語が理解できればとても満足のいくツアーです。

I was immediately impressed when we were greeted as we entered the venue. The staff was extremely organized, friendly, and helpful.
The venue was clean. The activities before the meal and show were fun and informative. The food was excellent. The entertainment was excellent.

This was a very great luau. We all had a wonderful time. We recived a Lei greeting. That was very awesome. Everybody wants a flower lei. There was a lot of good food. Something for even the pickiness eaters. It was way cool to see the pig being roasted. We just loved it.

During my stay on Maui, I went on two boat trips. One departed at 12:00 and the other at 14:15. Both times, whales were playing nearby, making for a fulfilling cruise. This company offers lower prices than others, but drinks and snacks are charged separately. However, with so many whales appearing, there wasn't much time to eat or drink, so it wasn't an issue (I purchased drinks before boarding). There are also restrooms on board. It seems to be less crowded on weekdays, but on weekends or when luxury cruise ships are in port, the morning to afternoon trips were packed. In the afternoon, it was quite empty, allowing for a relaxing experience. Since this was my several times whale watching (both domestically and internationally), I had no problem with the English-only communication.

12:00発と14:15発。
どちらも近くでクジラが遊んでくれて、充実のクルーズでした。
この会社は他社より値段が安い分、ドリンクやお菓子は有料ですが、これだけたくさんクジラが出てくると、飲食しているヒマはないので問題ないです。(乗船前に飲み物は購入しました)
船内にトイレもあります。
平日は空いているようですが、土日や、豪華客船が入っている日は朝～昼便はビッシリだったようです。
午後はガラガラでのんびり楽しめました。
ホエールウォッチングが(国内外)数回目なのもありますが、英語Onlyで問題ありませんでした。

This tour offers a good selection of time slots, which was great. The boat isn't very large, so if you're prone to seasickness, it's a good idea to take some medication. I participated in the early morning tour, and for a while, it seemed like we wouldn't see any whales. Just when I thought we might not see any today, we spotted one in the distance! Eventually, they appeared in various places; they weren't too close, but I was satisfied! The staff only spoke English, but they were kind. One downside is that the check-in location is hard to find. If it doesn't change in the future, it's the booth on the far right with your back to the town.

このツアーは時間帯がけっこう選べるので、良かった。船はそんな大きくないので、船酔いする人は酔い止め飲むといい。
早朝のツアーに参加、なかなか鯨が現れない。今日は見れないのかと思ってたら、遠くに発見！そのうち、色々なところに現れてそんなに近くはないけど満足！スタッフは英語のみだが、優しい。
１つ難点は、チェックインの場所が分かりづらい。今後も変わらなければ町を背にして1番右のブースです。

The staff was so friendly and attentive! Drinks and food were awesome and the sail was perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better excusion. We highly recommend Trilogy!!! We will definitely be back!

I did see the whales for sure, but it was no different from what I saw at the viewpoint along the road I drove with the rental car. The staff's response and everything else were good!

The weather was nice, and the waves were calm, which felt great. I was very excited to see a whale for the first time. I heard that if it were a little later in the season, we could see even more. I requested a Japanese guide, and I was very pleased with the service. If it were only in English, the experience might have been only half as impactful. The guide was wonderful and also provided explanations about Maui, for which I am grateful. Please send my regards to the guide, T. I would highly recommend this experience.

天気がよく、波も静かで気持ちよかったです。初めてクジラを見れて大変感激しました。時期がもう少し後ならもっと見られるそうです。今回日本人のガイドさんをリクエストし対応して頂き大変よかったです。英語だけなら感動も半分くらいかもです。ガイドさんはすばらしい方でホエールウオィチング以外にもマウイの説明をして頂き感謝です。ガイドのTさんに宜しくお伝えください。はかにもおすすめしたいです。

Captain is so experienced, we found whales right after departing from the harbo. Nice crew and we enjoyed a lot. Must come during whale watching season in Maui. And remember bring sunglasses, hat, and light jacket.

From December to April, humpback whales come to the Hawaiian Islands, and while I saw them on Oahu, I thought Maui would be a better place to see them up close. I also signed up for the Trilogy, which is a catamaran, so I thought we might be able to see the whales closer to the water's surface. Although the tour was in English, it was fine for us, as we were the only Japanese participants. We were able to see the whales for quite a while, and one came right up to the front of the catamaran, which was very impressive. Additionally, the triangle area between Maui, Molokai, and Lanai is said to be shallow, making it a good spot for nurturing calves. It’s estimated that around 4,000 humpback whales come to the islands each month, so I highly recommend this season for whale watching.

１２月から４月の間、ハワイ諸島沖にザトウクジラが来るということで、オアフ島でも見たのですが、マウイ島のほうが近くで見れそうなのとトリロジー号はカタマランなので水面近くでクジラがみられるかも？と思い申し込みをしました。英語のみなのですが、英語の話せない私たちで大丈夫でした。日本人も私たちだけでした。クジラはかなりの間見ることができ、一番近くでカタマランのすぐ前まで来てくれ、迫力満点でした。また、マウイ島、モロカイ島、ラナイ島のトライアングル地帯は地形的に浅いらしいので、子育てにはちょうどいいらしいです。月には4000頭のザトウクジラが来島するらしいので、これからのシーズンはおすすめです。

We saw dolphins and whales! The snorkeling was great and the crew was wonderful!!

This is my second time visiting since the year before last, and this year I was able to see whale jumps twice. It was truly spectacular. On top of that, I encountered a pod of dolphins, and they showed us several spin jumps.

一昨年に続いて2回目になりますが、今年はクジラのジャンプを2度見ることができました。それはもう豪快でした。おまけに、イルカの群にも会い、スピンジャンプを何度か見せてくれました。

Saw a ton of whales. The ride was smooth. My kids all really enjoyed themselves.

Had a great time! Awesome crew. Great music and cocktails. And saw whales! Great experience and would definitively recommend Sea Maui!

I participated with my daughter. We decided to join because there was live music, and the authentic hula show was also very good. There were no Japanese crew members. I’m not good at English, but it was not a problem at all. It was a very windy day, so I felt like I might be blown away while watching the show, and it was quite cold. I think it would have been even better if the wind had been weaker.

娘と参加しました。生演奏ありということで参加を決めましたが、本格的なフラのショーもあったのでそちらもとても良かったです。日本人の乗務員はいませんでした。英語が苦手ですが全然問題ないです。風が大変強い日でしたのでショーを見ているときはすっ飛ばされそうでかなり寒かったです。風が弱ければ更に良かったと思います。

We've done a few surfing lessons over the past decade. Our instructor this time topped them all. He was funny, kind, patient with our autistic son to the point of putting him on his own board and riding tandem. He spent half the class putting the extra effort to building up our boy's confidence before he was ready to try surfing on his own.

The picture of our kid's face when he stood up and surfed on his own was something worth buying - and we don't often purchase the pictures taken over the course of the lesson.

Josh didn't just teach him to surf, he gave him a lesson in confidence and perseverance that our son won't easily forget. The fact that he had the time of his life was just the umbrella on top of the coconut.

The food was delicious, but I was a bit disappointed that there were fewer dancers.

I wanted to see a show with more hula.

ゴハンは美味しかったのですが、ダンサーさんの人数が少なかったのが　少し残念でした。

もっとフラがたくさん見られるショーに行きたかったです。
