The departure is at 7:30 AM, and the fare is cheaper than the morning departures. The meeting time is 7:00 AM, but quite a few people are already at Lahaina Harbor, so it's better to arrive before 7:00 AM to park in the harbor's three-hour free parking. You will need to present the printed voucher at the booth, write your name, and sign a document acknowledging the risks associated with cruising to receive your boat ticket. Boats to Molokai Island and snorkeling tours also depart from the same location in sequence. The boat won't arrive until the previous one departs, so be sure to look around carefully to avoid getting on the wrong one. There is no Japanese guide for the early morning departure, but a naturalist will explain the whales' ecology in English. In early March, the peak whale season is slightly past, but we were able to see a whale approximately every ten minutes during the two-hour cruise. We could only see the dorsal fins and tails from a distance, so it might be a good idea to bring binoculars. The weather was cloudy. I had taken motion sickness medication in advance. The waves were calm, so it was fine. Bringing food and drinks is allowed, but snacks were also sold on the boat. A bottle of juice was about two dollars. The cruising experience was refreshing, but since we didn't see the whales' dynamic movements up close, my 12-year-old son (and some young Americans on board) found it a bit boring.

Since it was an English guide, there were many explanations I didn't understand, but it was great to see the whales up close.
I didn't see any big jumps, but I was able to see them splashing their tails and jumping a little.
I definitely want to participate again during whale season.

I stayed in Lahaina and participated in the early morning plan. Although there were no whales out in the early morning, around 9 o'clock, about 15 whales appeared near the boat. I was able to see them spouting and dancing up close, and I successfully captured it on video, which made me very satisfied.

Fun day - Great snorkeling!

This was a great trip that is highly recommended. The shuttle pick up from the hotel was very convenient and saved us the hassle of having to find parking. The captain (Lily) and crew were super chill and the breakfast and lunch served were ono! The BBQ lunch consisted of burgers, hot dogs and chicken. We saw a ton of whales on the trip up close but we missed out on the dolphins. The two snorkel spots were great - the coral was so healthy and multi colored. Lots of good fish diversity as well. Snorkel gear and wetsuits provided were a great addition. No complaints whatsoever - definitely book this trip!

We did the snorkel excursion during a week long family trip to Maui, Hawaii. Capt Lily was amazing and the other staff/crew were as well. Everyone in my group had a blast and it was definitely a highlight of my trip. We got to see so much, and actually meet cool people as well! It is advertised as a snorkel excursion but count on it to be a whale/dolphin watching as well! We had a great time. Thank you!!

I found the excursion very fun. The best part about the trip was the amount of information that we all learned from our crew members. The amount of whales we saw was incredible, and how Captain Lilly put the attention of the boat on the whales and spinner Dolphins that were close by. She told us what was happening and taught us some very cool things that she was clearly very passionate about. I found the other crew members very helpful as well, they were always offering us help with anything that we needed. I felt very safe on the boat and as well in the areas we snorkelled, which was thanks to the crew members putting our safety first. I thought our crew members did a very excellent job at making our trip a very enjoyable learning experience.

The best snorkel trip ever!

Our family returned from Maui less than a week ago. We squeezed in a lot of outings and adventures in our time there, but the 7 of us all agreed the snorkel trip was by far the highlight of our vacation! We have been on a few other snorkel excursions over the years, but the Dolphin Watch & Snorkel BBQ Lunch Cruise far exceeded our expectations. We were very fortunate that there were only a couple dozen people on the boat so it was quite personable. We were greeted warmly with a light breakfast of fruit and pastries. Weather wise, we could not have picked a better day!
We had anticipated to see some whales, but WOW is all I can say! Capt Lily was genuinely as excited to see the things we saw even though I'm sure she's seen them all dozens of times before. She was very knowledgeable and stopped often, positioning us for the best viewing as the whales were so active. We also saw spinner dolphins which was exciting. We boated out to Lanai and had the opportunity to snorkel in two different places. At our first stop the kids saw numerous fish and were lucky enough to see a sea turtle! Our second stop was at Sweetheart Rock where there were a ton of different fish. The boat had a slide that a few people took the opportunity to enjoy.
The staff was extremely friendly and professional and went out of their way to ensure everyone was comfortable. They had noodles and boogie boards for those that weren’t strong swimmers. There were always a minimum of two staff in the water with us, often more.
We were treated to a lunch BBQ’d right on board! We enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, fruit, chips and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. One of our kids is a vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate her with a veggie burger without prior warning.
The total excursion was 6.5 hours and flew by! Everyone enjoyed every minute of it and we will all have great memories for years to come! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our day truly memorable!

Unfortunately, the weather was not great (>_<), so even though we made it to the summit, we couldn't see the starry sky. However, I appreciate that there is compensation for a free participation next time! I'm really looking forward to it! I wonder when I can go again＾＾

We took the ferry from Maui to Lanai for a day. It was a good ferry rid in the morning but it was a little shaky in the evening due to the ocean. Lanai is a very small place. "What happens in Lanai stays in Lanai and it can happen twice", said the Lanai people.

Sadly we didn't see any, but we were able to hear them calling under us, which was amazing! Snorkeling was great, rusty was able to point out to us some of the reef life that often gets missed and was great about getting us into the water. Great time!

In February, I went to Maui for my honeymoon and wanted to experience not just the ocean but also the mountains, so I participated in this tour. The sunset and starry sky viewed above the clouds were exquisite. The summit had an unusually strong wind, making it difficult to stand, but the colors of the sun and sky were incredibly beautiful and moving.

During the stargazing time, the already clear starry sky was breathtaking, and with the use of three telescopes, we were shown various stars and received detailed explanations, which made it enjoyable. On the drive to Haleakalā, we talked about Maui, and I received a lot of information.

If I have the opportunity to go again in the summer, I would love to participate in seeing the summer constellations.

雲の上て見る夕陽と星空は絶品でした。山頂は稀に見る強風で、立っているのもやっとといった感じでしたが、太陽や空の色はとても綺麗でかんどうしました。
星空の時間帯にも、ただでさえ澄んだ星空で感動なのに、３つの望遠鏡を駆使しながら、あらゆる星を見せてくださったり、解説も細かくしていただき楽しめました。
ハレアカラまでのドライブ中にも、マウイのことを話しながら向かってくださり、沢山の情報をいただきました。

また夏に行く機会があったら、夏の星座を見に参加させて頂きたいです。

The expedition ship was comfortable. The seats on the deck can sway a bit, so I recommend indoor seats on the first floor for those who are prone to seasickness.

I took the first morning trip and was able to see the sunrise, which was lovely. Since I went in February, I also spotted whales jumping in the distance.

Because it was winter, the waves in Full Poi Bay were strong, and I couldn't enjoy snorkeling much, but the lunch at Four Seasons was exquisite, and I spent a lovely time with a great view.

I was looking forward to seeing dolphins, but it seems they had come late the previous evening and didn't show up in the morning. They often appear in the morning and around 4:00 PM.

After getting off the boat, there is a shuttle bus to Lanai City, and I decided to check it out. However, it costs $25 for a round trip, and in the morning, nothing was open, so there was nothing to see. I felt a bit deceived, but there's nothing I can do about it.

It might have been better during the day. If you're going in winter, it might be better to go not on the first morning trip but to stay from around noon to the evening.

楽しみにしていたイルカも前日の夕方遅くに来ていたみたいで、午前中には来ませんでした。朝と16:00頃に来ることが多いそうです。
船を降りたらラナイシティにいくシャトルバスがあるのですが、なんとなく行ってみてしまったのですが一人往復$25もする上に、朝はどこも開いておらず何も見るものがありませんでした。騙された気分ですがしょうがありません。
昼間だったらもう少しよかったかも。
冬場に行くなら朝一の便じゃなくて、昼ぐらいから夕方までいるのがいいかもしれませんね。

Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkel Cruise with Food & Open Bar - Pride of Maui

Not the best snorkeling ever, but tour was fun

Molokini is not as stunning a snorkel spot as some say: there's only a select variety of fish and there's no impressive coral reef. The water is very clear though. But there are definitely much better snorkeling options elsewhere to be found.
We had a muddy water day for Turtle Town sadly, but I got to see a turtle nonetheless, which was nice.
The tour organisation was class though, well-spirited. Breakfast was decent, lunch was very good. And there were a lot of whales to be seen! I must say that even with Molokini not completely living up to its reputation I had a good fun day. Time well-spent.

Enjoyed this tremendously! The sunrise at Haleakala is as spectacular as everyone says it is.
Our guide (Bob) had a lot of humour, was well-informed and passionate, and gave us the freedom to go where we wanted to during the actual sunrise instead of having to stay at a designated spot.
Included breakfast was decent too.
The early wake-up is well worth it. Don't miss this when you're on Maui.

Road to Hana Tour with Waterfall Swim, Black Sand Beach and Lunch at Hana Farms

The scenery along Road to Hana is nice, it's an impressive ride. We got to stop where possible, and the driver tried to add some little spots here and there for quick extra photo opportunities.
I was most impressed with the final part of the road that nobody seems to mentions: the part after the Seven Pools which goes through the barren drier south side of the Haleakala. I liked this scenery a lot!

Be aware: if you want to stay on a budget: lunch is very expensive at the chosen restaurant. I brought my own lunch, which turned out to be the right choice.

I participated with a female friend. Our guide was Rick. He greeted us politely when we first met and was considerate throughout the experience, making it really enjoyable. He also suggested fun ways to take sunset photos, and we got some great shots.

It was really cold, but I was relieved that we could borrow down jackets, blankets, and gloves. The stargazing was absolutely beautiful, and he explained everything in detail in Japanese, which was moving and exciting.

I definitely want to participate again!

女友達と2人で参加しました。ガイドはリックさん。お会いした時の始めのご挨拶も丁寧で、終始お気遣い頂き、すごく楽しかったです。サンセットの楽しい写真の撮り方も提案して下さり、イイ写真が撮れました。

Although there was some rain and strong winds at lower altitudes, as we ascended, the weather cleared up and there was no wind, making it a perfect day for sunset and stargazing. The sea of clouds at 3,055 meters, the twilight after sunset, and the starry sky were sights I had never seen before. It was truly wonderful. I believe it would be impossible to reach the summit of Haleakalā on my own, so I was glad to have been taken there. I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

下は所々雨が降ったり、風が強かったりしたのですが、上へ上がるにつれ、お天気になり風もなく、絶好のサンセット＆星空日和でした。３０５５ｍでの雲海、サンセット後の薄明、満天の星空・・・今までに一度も見たことのない光景でした。本当に素晴らしかったです。夜のハレアカラ山頂へは、個人では到底行けないところだと思いますので、連れて行ってもらってよかったと思いました。また機会があれば参加したいです。

This was by FAR our best experience on Maui. We booked last minute and Skyline Eco accommodated us. The employees are extremely welcoming and warm. I noticed many older people felt a bit uncomfortable jumping from the zipline and Anthony really helped calm them. I felt like I was in great company too! We really lucked out and got a great group as well. The guys also showed us some of the plants along the trail. I was so excited when they pointed out fresh guava fruit! We honestly had such a great experience and left with huge grins on our faces. If you have limited time and a limited budget, choose these guys. You won't be disappointed!

Fun Activity!

We wanted to do something fun and exciting in the water while visiting Maui. We chose this adventure after hearing some great things about this excursion. Let me tell you, it was really fun! Not only did we get to snorkel and relax on the boat, but we also got to whale watch. The food is okay, but you're going for the actual snorkeling! We saw many sea animals and had a great time. You can tell the people running the operation really love their jobs. They sincerely care about the passengers on board. One woman in particular was extremely inviting and personally approached me just to talk. Wonderful day!
