Since we didn't have a rental car, we participated in this tour with transportation included. It took about 45 minutes to get from our hotel to the meeting point, and we were dropped off just before the port, so we needed to walk to the Body Glove boat. The crew was at the reception, and you can check in by saying your name. As mentioned in other posts, the crew does not understand Japanese at all. I also speak very little English, but they provide a Japanese sheet with important information and emergency signals, so it's okay if you don't understand the English explanations. Since I have poor eyesight, they lent me prescription snorkeling goggles. I didn't understand everything in English, but since I participated in January, it was whale watching season, not dolphin watching. It was a great deal because you could snorkel and see whales. Although the sea was calm, it was still open ocean, so those prone to seasickness should take precautions. They do provide emergency assistance, but I think you need to be capable of managing your own snorkeling. Regarding transportation, the pickup was over an hour after the cruise ended, so I think it's fine to explore the nearby shops. I believe this is an activity that offers a unique experience that can only be enjoyed on the Big Island.

滞在ホテルより集合場所までは４５分くらい、港の手前で下ろされるため、ボディーグローブ号まで歩いていく必要はあります。クルーが受付をしているので名前を言えばチェックインできます。投稿にあるとおりクルーに日本語はまったく通じません。当方も英語はほとんどしゃべれませんが、注意事項、危険時の合図などは日本語のシートを出してくれるので英語の説明がわからなくても大丈夫です。目が悪いのでめがねをかけていたら度つきの水中グラスも貸してくれました。また英語のためわからなかったのですが当方の参加した一月は鯨が来るシーズンのためイルカではなくホエールウオッチングでした。シュノーケリングもでき鯨も見れることでお得ではありました。穏やかとはいえ外洋なので波はあるので船酔いするかたは対策が必要です。また緊急時の対応はしてくれますが自己管理でシュノーケリングできる能力は必要とみます。送迎のほうですが迎えはクルージング終了後一時間以上もあったので周辺のお店を散策してもいいと思います。ビッグアイランドでしか味わえない体験ができるアクテビティだと思います。

On the Body Glove, for a while after departure, we watched people having breakfast with soft drinks and light snacks while we were already full and just had some water... When the engine stopped, we focused our eyes and there they were! We were able to see spouts and breaching clearly. We moved several times and were able to see them one after another; it really felt like there were so many whales coming to Hawaii. We had a wonderful half-day.

I walked excitedly to the Kailua Pier. I was really worried about whether we would see whales after boarding, but they appeared one after another, and I was thrilled. I was also able to see a mother and baby whale, and it was especially cute when the baby whale flicked its tail a couple of times while diving. It was a great experience. Thank you very much.

Finally, a grand fireworks display began from the ship in front of Aloha Tower. Overwhelmed by the magnificence of the fireworks up close, I offered words of gratitude for the past year and prayed for a good year ahead for myself and my family, enjoying a wonderful moment. I sincerely thank everyone who made this amazing experience possible.

Last year, I participated alone. This time, I joined with my husband to relive that amazing experience.

Looking down at the Haleakalā Crater from 1,000 meters. It was a strange experience, feeling like I was in a silent world with no bird songs or sounds of the wind. I wondered if this is part of the Earth.

That day, since it was close to a full moon, the number of stars seemed slightly fewer, but I was amazed by the size of the moon. It was big and white, looking like I could reach out and touch it. With Mr. Yamauchi's large telescope, I could see the craters on the moon clearly. That was surprising too!

In the cold winter sky, I could sit in a chair with a blanket, warm clothing, gloves, a heat pack, and enjoy warm tea while observing. Listening to the BGM from the car while gazing at the stars, I couldn't stop my tears while listening to Mr. Yamauchi's stories. Even on the way back, the BGM chosen by Mr. Yamauchi plays. That's something to look forward to as well.

That feeling of awe can only be gained by participating in this tour. I hope many people can experience that emotion. It's a thoroughly accommodating tour for customers. I hope other tours will take note of this. (laughs)

Next time, I want to experience the summer night sky with my nephews and nieces.

For those participating in winter, it might be good to keep your feet warm. During the tour, you can enjoy donuts and a delicious, hearty bento, so you'll be well satisfied.

I also participated in a star tour on the Big Island, but it takes a long time to go to Mauna Kea and climb to about 4,200 meters, which makes me physically anxious, and there's a possibility of it being closed due to snow. ★を眺めながら、車中から聞こえてくるBGM。山内さんのお話を聞きながら涙が止まりませんでした。
帰りの車中でも山内さんチョイスのBGMが流れます。これも楽しみですよ。

あの感動はこのツアーに参加をしないと得られないですね。
沢山の方に感動してもらいたいと思います。
お客様の為の至れり尽くせりツアーです。○○ツアーも見習ってもらいたいですね。（笑）


私も今度は、夏の夜空を甥や姪と体験したいです。

冬の参加の方は足元を暖かくされると良いかもしれません。
ツアー中はドーナツを食べたり、ボリュームたっぷりで美味しい幕の内弁当が出ますので満腹度もパッチリです。

ハワイ島の★ツアーも参加しましたが、長時間かけてマウナケアに行き4200m級の山へ登って行きますので体力的に不安ですし、雪でcloseになる可能性もあります。山頂でsunsetを見て、実際の★観測は2800ｍくらいの所まで降りてきますので、ハレアカラの方が高い場所で観測できますよ~~。

The weather was perfect, and we renewed our vows against the backdrop of Diamond Head and a beautiful sunset, which made my parents very happy. The service on the top floor was excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Considering the food and service, I think the price is reasonable. I highly recommend it for special occasions.

It was the tour I expected.
There seem to be other options for stargazing tours in Maui, but I recommend this one for anyone other than those who prioritize cost. Also, if you're looking for a tour aimed at Japanese participants at a similar price point, I highly recommend this one.
We participated as a family, and they were very kind to my 4-year-old child, who could join for free.
Not only was the content great, but I believe the biggest charm is the personality of our guide, Mr. Yamauchi.
Additionally, the bento provided with this tour was the best in taste and volume among the Japanese bento I've had overseas.

期待通りのツアーでした。
マウイでの星空ツアーは他にも選択肢があるようですが、とにかく経済性という方以外にはこちらをお奨めします。又、同程度の金額の日本人向けツアーなら尚更こちらがお奨めです。
今回は家族で参加で、無料での参加となる4歳の子供にも大変親切にしていただきました。
内容もさることながら、やはりガイドの山内さんのお人柄が最大の魅力と思います。
更に付け加えると、こちらのツアーにつくお弁当は今まで海外で食べたことのある和食弁当の中で最高の味とボリュームでした。

I was honestly worried about whether I would be able to see them in the wild, but I was able to see them up close, even more than I imagined, and it was incredibly moving.

I don't think I could ever see wild whales that close in my everyday life.

It was a very precious experience.

Although we were supposed to see whales, I was lucky to also spot dolphins.

The food on the boat was only mentioned as snacks and drinks in advance, but there were quite stylish light meals and drinks, and I was satisfied with the service.

It might be a good idea to check the meeting point and hotel location in advance. Depending on the situation, a shuttle service might be cheaper. We were far from the hotel and took a taxi, which ended up costing quite a bit...

That's the only regret I have.

However, I think the experience was so amazing that it overshadowed that, so I have no regrets.

I would definitely like to participate again when I go to Hawaii.

集合場所とホテルの場所は事前にチェックしておいた方が良いかもです。場合によっては、送迎ありのほうが安くなる場合もあります。
自分らは、ホテルから遠く、タクシーで行ったのですが、相当な料金が掛かってしまいました。。。

それだけが悔やまれます。

が、そんな事も吹き飛ぶくらいの体験が出来たと思いますので後悔はないです。

また、ハワイに行った時には、ぜひ参加したいですね。

I hope that everyone who goes to Hawaii gets a chance to participate in this tour since it was one of the best tours I went to when I was in the Big Island in Hawaii. The captain went on a great route in the water to see many places and we saw whales which was the best part of the day. If you go to Hawaii and the Bid Island, I say you should get to this tour. I want to go again!

I cannot begin to say how much fun I had on this cruise. Not only did we get to see whales, and the captain did a great job of getting as close as he could without disturbing them, but the activities and food on-board made the experience just THAT MUCH BETTER! It was a great experience being able to go to the top deck and view the whales and then head down into the ship for a very yummy buffet lunch. Boy were we full after that :) Cannot wait for next year so we can do this again. Two thumbs WAY WAY up!
