This was my family and I’s first time going to a luau. The atmosphere was very fun and welcoming. The dancers did a great job, especially the chief that danced with the fire. The drinks were nice and I like that we had unlimited soft drinks. The only downside is that the buffet was a bit underwhelming. Overall, my family and I enjoyed ourselves.

This is my second time on the 5-Star cruise. This time, I wanted to see the fireworks on Friday, so I made a reservation here.

I enjoyed the meal and Hawaiian-style cocktails. By the time I was seated, the appetizers were already prepared, and the lobster and salad were easy to eat.

If you want to relax and enjoy a calm atmosphere, I recommend the window-side seats on the 3 or 5-Star cruises.

In the past, I took a photo with the captain at the entrance, but this time it was taken at my seat.

My husband and I did this trip with our 20 and 14 year olds. We all enjoyed it. The boat scenery is beautiful the grotto is an amazing site and the music and entertainment on the way home was nice. We all even participated in the hula lesson.

I was completely satisfied with the scenery, food, and shows. Although I could hardly communicate in Japanese, everyone tried their best to talk to me, and it worked out somehow. The round-trip shuttle bus was surprisingly lively! I will definitely be coming back.

I will be simple and straight, please see my following points.

1. I booked sit down dinner, not buffet, overall food presentation look good, taste good too. Drinks are good too.
2. Service is just so so, the server for my table never gets me things I asked for, example, refill water, lemon, and my second glass of drink, I understand it's a busy task and have to serve all plates and take finishing plates away, and each server takes care of couple tables, but this should not be used as an excuse for service quality.
3. The show is good, but it's kind short, I wish we can see the full stage of Luau show, but the center stage is pretty small, so in order to accommodate every guest, they always have couple dancers on each side,

Beautiful river excursion; would have loved more time and not so rushed at the Grotto. One song seemed lame. Wanted time to take pictures of foliage on way down. Definitely would not recommend for wheelchair guests. It was steep and pavement unfriendly to wheelchair wheels and very steep and slippery incline uphill.
Entertainment on way back was very fun and good.

As overseas visitors we were able to see and learned on what actually happened about the surprise attack on the Pearl Harbor naval facilities based on the videos presented and ships hit by the surprise attack. How the US navy base survived the attack. Our visit to the historical place was a big help on our history knowledge.

I was torn between expensive luau shows, but choosing this one was definitely the right decision! It's the best entertainment you can only see here in Hawaii. Personally, I found the men's hula show to be rare and powerful, and I especially liked it.

The boat ride was enjoyable, with about 15 minutes of explanations about the surroundings on the way there, and on the way back, we all danced the hula together. The fern cave was breathtaking. The meeting point on the map was slightly off, and I got lost.

The explanations are in English, but I think everyone can enjoy them since they are all well-known stars. Overall tour is very informative and enjoyable. Tour guides are great. Able to see uss misouri,uss bowfin and uss arizona memorial. The museum is great! I also took a helicopter ride over Iguazu Falls, which was 28,000 yen for 15 minutes, and this flight was two and a half hours. If we calculate simply, that would be 280,000 yen. In reality, we flew from the Waikoloa heliport to Hilo and had to refuel, which also incurs fuel costs. Above all, the pilot explained everything in Japanese and answered various questions clearly, and the view of the volcanic crater was impressive! The waterfalls in the canyon were also wonderful. I gained a good understanding of how the Big Island was formed, and it was definitely worth it. If you have the time, the course that takes you down to the waterfalls would also be great... The crab was really tasty. Overall, really liked this menu. There's also entertainment on-board. We really liked walking around the boat and the observation deck on the top floor of the boat was my favorite. There were lounge chairs on the top deck so it was the perfect place to catch sunset.

Tips:
-You can do menu substitutions (ex. vegan, fish instead of steak, etc.) if you request it 24-hours prior

The BEST dinner menu

Absolutely LOVED this dinner menu. We opted for the Friday Fireworks cruise with window seating. And it was worth it! I had done the other menus before (Buffet, Casual, & Deluxe) so I was looking forward to try out the fine dining menu.

The only not-so-great thing was the time it took for us to get any beverages. Our waiter passed us every time. We waited and waited - everyone else around us was being served. Finally, we flagged someone down but even they also took a long time so we had to flag a 2nd person.

The food was so delicious. Would definitely recommend the menu! This options also comes with premium drink tickets. We had mocktails which were delicious.

Fantastic show and we really enjoyed it even my kids. However pick up time should have been earlier as stated. Due to traffic we were just in time for the show and disappointed we couldn’t tried the activities provided. However it was a great experience and show. My kids enjoyed the show. Variety of foods from buffet was good however when you are the last table, whatever are left that’s it. Disappointed as the stir fry noodles was finished and when asked if there are more noodles, no answer was provided. Do hope next time you can cater for all the guest. Please advise all guest to put mosquito repellent as we were bitten by mosquitoes on our legs. Great and beautiful pictures taken by the staff and it’s digital, sent link to your phone and pictures can be downloaded for free. Thank you. Memories will treasure. Great performances and talented staff. Love the musics and dances. Highly recommended. Mahalo.
