I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the island for the first time. As long as the pick-up bus gets started, the tour is a fun and enjoyable one while learning a great deal about the history of Pearl Harbor. Tour guide was excellent.

We had a great time at Island Breeze. The location is excellent and the weather was perfect when we were there (April). The Mai Tai's were perfect and so was the food. Gotta try the poi!! Before the show started there was several interactive demonstrations that were fun. The show itself explained well the history and varied cultural influences of the Hawaiian islands. Overall a great evening.

We had a great time on this tour. We saw a little bit of everything. Rongo, our guide, was so much fun, and so knowledgable. He had so much personal knowledge of the island we often felt like we were somehow being driven around by an old friend who wanted to 'show us around'. Rongo was just a great, great guide. We had fun. We had time to take pictures anywhere we stopped, never felt rushed or hurried. Loved everything we saw and felt like we got a very complete 'view' of the island as well as it's history and all of the things that made 'Oahu'....Oahu. We took this tour our second day in Oahu in case we stumbled across something we would want to spend more time investigating later. We're glad we did. Rongo was also willing to give us tips on great places to eat, or grab a drink. We really had fun!

At 4:00 PM, a bus will pick us up at the hotel. Once we get on... it's all Westerners. Everything is in English. The guide is desperately trying to lift the mood with jokes and gestures, making an effort to help everyone get to know each other. Since travel time is limited, and no one wants to waste it, I’ll be clear: if you don’t understand English, the jokes and conversations with your neighbors on the bus might feel dull, and you could feel uncomfortable until the end. Once we arrive, we’ll be ushered inside, where various events await. You don’t need to understand English to participate in those.
For meals, you’ll be sharing a table with people you don’t know, so English conversation will be necessary. Most attendees are from the mainland, so I think English is essential. This experience is suited for those who see chatting with neighbors as part of the fun. The dance and performances are wonderful, and if you’re brave enough, you can even go up on stage. There’s also a couple's dance time. If you’re someone who wants to enjoy without hesitation, you can have fun even if you don’t understand the language. On the return bus, the guide shares entertaining stories, so you won’t be able to sleep. (laughs) Casual attire is fine. I participated with my family, and we were the only Japanese among about 500 people, and since I was the only one who understood English, I translated everything for my family. They said they had a great time because I interpreted for them. Personally, I found this tour to be extremely enjoyable; this is true entertainment.

Thi was great. I have no complaints whatsoever! There's lots to do, it's well planned, our tour bus leader and driver were well informed, fantastic entertainers, and multi talented. The food was delicious, we did some arts and crafts type things that were fun for everyone and we learned some things about the culture of Hawaii in the most intresting way possible. We were well entertained, and i could not have asked for more! I wouldn't bother to upgrade unless you do the top level ( much better seating)

We bought the Orchiad seats, which were right down the middle in cost, and we couldn't even finish our drink coupons! We had such a great time, taking pictures, eating, drinking, doing the hula... I was told this was the most authentic luau on Oahu. The actually dinner was a bit crowded and the stage show was too loud and pretty boring. The buffet offered a variety of dishes but I had to eat from the kids side because that menu only offered the vegetarian option that actually had nutritional value.
When booking this trip it would have been nice to know up front that the cultural center was run by mormons so therefore there was no alcohol or caffeine available. The night show was worth seeing...very well done...just as good as a play in NYC.
Our driver picked us up 15 minutes late then proceeded to wait another 20 for 2 people who were on the list and were not there yet. Because of this we were unable to get the tour of the center that we paid for and they would not issue us tickets to come again some other day. If I could do it all over again I would go the full day, pack food and see the evening show. Probably rent a car and take a break down the street on the beach.
