Taking a helicopter ride around half of the Big Island offers a rare experience where you can witness "the Earth being alive." Driving this route by car takes over eight hours. The last time I visited, I drove around in a rental car, but it took a long time, and I ended up driving in complete darkness. I decided that next time, I would definitely take a helicopter.

With a helicopter, you can see the Haleakalā crater from above in just two hours, and you can land in valleys that are inaccessible by car, allowing you to enjoy waterfalls all to yourself.

I previously experienced a luau at Hilton Hawaiian Village. There isn't much difference in the size of the seating or the stage. The performances and proceedings are similar, and the announcements are only in English, which made the excitement among the few Japanese travelers, including myself, somewhat lacking.

This time, my spouse and I used the premium seats, located in the second row from the front center of the stage (my wife's head is in the photo), while I was in the third row. These seats are right up close and provide an impressive view. After check-in, we were welcomed with leis and were guided to our seats, where we picked up our favorite drinks along the way. I went with a Mai Tai again this time. At the long table, about six people share taro chips, edamame, and jerky, allowing us to enjoy some time before the meal began. Additionally, this seating includes butler service (they frequently take drink orders), and drinks are all-you-can-drink, including alcohol. I ordered four cocktails, including Blue Hawaii, using a photo menu with Japanese explanations on the table. The glasses are large. The buffet food is also satisfying, on par with what you would find in Honolulu. The desserts here are especially recommended; the variety, taste, and presentation were all excellent. However, my stomach was already at capacity...

The premium seats are more expensive compared to general seating, but if you're going all the way to Hawaii Island to see a luau, it's definitely worth the splurge.

I thought it was a bit expensive, but the show was impressive, the location was great, and the food was really delicious. The male dancers were cool!

I opted for the premium plan, but I don't think there was much difference in viewing the show. It was more about being able to eat first at the buffet. I'm not sure about the standard seats, but the seats at the very back were arranged as round tables for 5-6 people, and you could see the stage directly, so that might have been better. The show is conducted in English, but there was someone who explained the process of making clothes from tree bark in Japanese.

The show while enjoying delicious food and drinks at a table right in front of the ocean with a beautiful starry sky was amazing! The Kahiko and Tahitian hula performances were very impressive.

The buffet is served in order by table, and drinks are all-you-can-drink. You will be asked to show your passport when ordering alcohol, but it wasn't necessary after the second time.

It gets quite windy at night, so it's a good idea to bring a jacket! You can enjoy the food, scenery, and show for about three hours.

The location was BEAUTIFUL. The food was okay, the whole thing felt kind of rushed. There is a lot of activitys you can do before dinner. You are able to pay for additional drinks. There is 2 photo opportunities once when you get there and another before dinner with the sunset. You're able to pay for them after dinner.

The food was very good. You get about 30 mins between the food and show to go to the top and see the sunset. Good spot for pictures. Then you come back down for dessert and a show, the show was okay. After that they have dancing you dont have to participate if you do not want to. You can pay for additional drinks.

Everything you want in a luau...take your sandles off, walk by a lagoon at sunset while drinking a mai tai, and then enjoy a feast while watching an amazing Polynesian performance. The pre-luau events were fun for the whole family. My favorite was the shower of flowers. While the actual shower of flowers was fragrant and beautiful, I was most impressed by the person who climbed to the top of the palm tree within 30 seconds...while carrying a linen bag full of flowers! My future mother-in-law's favorite activity was the spear throwing. Even though she missed the target, she had fun and we enjoyed cheering her on.
This luau is packed full of fun activities and entertainment. You're sure to leave with memories you'll cherish.

We didn't know this before arriving but it was a special surprise since my fiance proposed the day before. The cruise to the fern grotto was the perfect way to end our vacation in Kauai. Even if you're not going for a wedding, you'll get to hear and watch Hawaiian singers and musicians perform a traditional Hawaiian wedding song. So whether you're celebrating an engagement, a honeymoon, or 50 years of marriage, this beautiful destination will fill your heart with love. I'm so glad we did this tour!

From the greeters to the servers to the Chief himself, everyone treated us like we were a part of the family. It felt like a big family reunion.
The food was delicious, and even if you're vegetarian or vegan like me, there are plenty of options! I had a mountain of food on my plate and didn't leave hungry.
The entertainment was my favorite part. Talented hula and warrior dancers performed traditional dances from various regions of Polynesia. So it was both entertaining and educational. I highly recommend this luau!

I had heard that I could request a Japanese pilot, but from pick-up to boarding, everything was in English, which was quite confusing for us as a couple who are not proficient in English. Fortunately, the pilot was a veteran Japanese pilot, and there were Japanese announcements at key points, plus he spoke English slowly, which was helpful. After takeoff, I was continuously moved to the point of forgetting the passage of time. Although we couldn't see the red lava flowing due to the activity of Kilauea Volcano calming down, I was amazed by the pilot's skill in landing effortlessly in a narrow area that was hardly different from the rotor's rotation range. It was a valuable experience that cannot be fully expressed just through personal accounts and images. While it's not a price that can be easily afforded, if you have the financial means, this is definitely a tour you should try.

日本人パイロットをリクエスト出来るとのことだったが、ピックアップも含めて、搭乗までは全て英語で「英語が不得手な夫婦」としては、大いに戸惑いました。幸い、パイロットは日本人ベテランパイロットで、要所要所は日本語の案内があり、また、英語もゆっくり話してくれて助かりました。離陸後は、とにかく感動の連続で時の経つのを忘れるほどでした。キラウエア火山の活動が沈静化して、赤い溶岩が流れるのを見ることは出来ませんでしたが、それ以上に、ヘリのローター回転範囲と大して変わらない狭い場所にピンポイントで楽々と着陸するパイロットの腕に驚嘆しました。体験談とその画像だけでは語り尽くせない貴重な体験でした。気軽に体験出来る料金ではありませんが、経済的余裕があれば、是非トライしてみるべきツアーです。

The weather was favorable in early April, and it was comfortable at first, but as the sun went down, it became chilly, and I regretted not bringing a jacket. The show was of high quality, and I was satisfied to be able to show her authentic hula. This time, I chose the Golden Seat, but since we arrived late, we ended up with seats on the edge, which was disappointing. This luau show was a bit different from what I've seen before, and as expected from Hilton, it was great! I had a very good seat in the front center. However, since the venue is relatively small, I think the experience would still be quite impressive from any front row seat, not just the center ones.

The hula itself was amazing. I still find myself mesmerized while looking at the videos I took. The meals were also more than sufficient, and the staff was very considerate. However, there were only Japanese people around, and while the family seated next to us spoke to us, I still felt awkward due to the language barrier. I can't help but think that it would be nice to have a show where you can purely enjoy the hula.

The weather was wonderful, making it a perfect day. I was torn between a dinner cruise and a luau show, but choosing the luau show was definitely the right decision. There were families present, so I felt comfortable enjoying it! The dynamic fire show and the beautiful hula were both fantastic. I even got to participate in the show with the dancers... The buffet-style meal, where you can choose what you like, was also great. Everyone who participated was very happy, and I was extremely satisfied!

This is a must do experience if one wants to know more about the Polynesian Culture!

My friends and I got the Ambassador package and was extremely amazed with how all the performers, guides and crew were doing everything with so much heart and passion! There is no lying on how one consistently feels so intrigued with learning about another culture.

Despite this being a manicured and curated tourist attraction with a make-believe setting, it doesn't disappoint. Being called "family" all the time does make the entire experience different.

The Luau night show is not be be missed! The show is called Hai and is so well done that I personally want to experience it again!

Overall, there is nothing much to fault. Also note that tickets purchased and not single entry! You can go back again on another day to continue your tour if you have missed out on certain experiences.

We started with dinner, and then enjoyed hula, singing, and dancing with very quick costume changes. Even the impersonators sang like professionals. I was a fan of that nostalgic Elvis. The show was wonderful, and my hands turned red from all the applause.

The overall experience was awesome! We took the transportation from Waikiki which was great. Cousin Emma, our hostess was amazing! She learned all our names from the check in. Emma was funny in providing details needed for the luau & she was very sincere in treating us like Ohana. It is evident she loves her job! When I first booked the luau I thought the length of time would be too long but it is so well planned that we were occupied the entire time. The location is beautiful so we took lots of pictures. The food was delicious! The entertainment was spectacular. It was a tremendous value for everything we experienced. I highly recommend Paradise Cove Luau!
