We had a wonderful time. Great family entertainment. The food was good too. It was top notch entertainment with the local feel. Hawaii should be proud of the information given for the Polynesian culture. It was very enlightening and entertaining. I'd recommend this luau to anyone who is visiting the island. Please be kind to the staff, they are stars too. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

There is almost no support in Japanese. We participated as a family with children, but since we couldn't understand English, the kids got bored. I wouldn't recommend it if you can't speak English. Unless you really want to see the dance here, I wouldn't recommend it.

We were staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village, and there was a show available for about the same price, so I regretted not going there as it would have saved us travel time.

Many places offer optional tours, but I booked with Veltra because they were cheaper due to a campaign. I've been on the Star of Honolulu multiple times, but it was my son's first experience, so I made the reservation.

There was a hurricane approaching the Big Island, so the boat swayed a bit. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks, but due to the rocking of the boat, I felt a bit nauseous halfway through.

It was quite pricey, but dining on a course meal in downtown Honolulu would cost about the same, so I recommend it. However, after arriving, we were shown to our seats, and even though there were empty seats, we could only see the dancers' backs from our seats behind the show.

When you book with Veltra, a night view tour is included for free, but it was disappointing that the local tour was not conducted. I wish they had planned an alternative tour.

　なかなかのお値段でしたがホノルルの街中でコース料理を食べても同じ位の高値なのでおすすめです。ただ着いてから席に案内されるのですが席が空いているのに、ショーの後ろ隣の席でダンサーの後ろ姿しか見れませんでした。
　ベルトラさんで申し込みすると夜景のツアーが無料で付いてくるのですが現地ツアーの催行が無く残念でした。代替ツアーを計画してくれれば良かったのに。

The show was almost impossible to see from the recessed room at the back of the ship. I had notified them in advance about changing my food, but it was disappointing that something different arrived. (I did get it exchanged, though.)

We used the sunset cruise the day after our arrival in Hawaii. To sum it up in one word, I highly recommend it!

As it was our honeymoon, we considered dining at a restaurant in Waikiki with the whole family, but due to the weak yen and tips, the prices were quite high, which made us hesitate.

At that time, I remembered the Star of Honolulu, which we had boarded for whale watching before, and decided to try the sunset dinner cruise this time. This was a great decision!

Before departure, we were welcomed with hula, and we received non-alcoholic sparkling drinks for toasting, along with two drinks, a whole lobster, and an American steak. While it wasn't a quiet seat like a high-end restaurant, the Hawaiian live music and jazz performances were enjoyable, and the experience was worth the price, leaving us satisfied.

The cruise went by in a flash, and in the end, the crew really got everyone excited, making it truly fun. We are talking about wanting to go on the dinner cruise during the fireworks on Friday next time.

　そんな時に以前、ホエールウォッチングで乗船したスターオブホノルルのことを思い出し、今回はサンセットディナークルーズに乗船してみることにしました。これが大正解でした！
　出港前にフラで出迎えてくれ、乾杯用ノンアルコールスパークリングも付いていて、ドリンク2杯、さらに丸々1匹のロブスターとアメリカンステーキ。高級レストランのような静かな席ではありませんが、ハワイアンライブやジャズミュージックの生演奏、お腹もいっぱいでお値段にきちんと見合った納得できる内容でした。
　あっという間のクルーズで、最後はクルーの方々がしっかりと盛り上げてくださり、本当に楽しかったです。次回は金曜日の花火の時のディナークルーズに行きたいねと家族で話しています。

Absolutely amazing combination. Scenery and guides were excellent. Bit disappointed in the movie tour as part of sets deteriorated because of passage of time. Also thought you would see more of current sets. Farm Tour was very interesting which also included some movie sets. Lunch was excellent.

Overall great day out and fantastic place that is trying to maintain green friendly eco systems and preserve area for future generations.

Would definitely go again as there were other trips like zip lining which we did not have time to do,

My husband and I booked the stargazing tour with Yoshi, and it exceeded our expectations. We live in a place with so much light pollution, we never see more than a handful of stars. We've wanted to see the "dark sky" for a long time. It was just breathtaking. There really are no words and pictures can not do the experience justice. Our guide was super friendly and accommodating. During the drive, stops, and sunset/stargazing he was very informative. This is the tour to choose on your next trip! Ask for Yoshi specifically.

We were torn between the four-wheeler and the e-bike experience, but since it was just the two of us, we chose the e-bike. As a couple in our fifties, we were concerned about our stamina, but the e-assist was quite powerful (with three levels), so that was not an issue. However, please note that those under 150 cm may have difficulty reaching the ground.

So very glad I booked this excursion.
This was definitely by far one of our best excursions. We were able to see and learn so much about all the different movies filmed at this location. The trips were well timed and spaced apart enough that they did not overlap into one another. The guides were knowledgeable and very accommodating. Lunch was really good with great selections. I feel like a trip to O’ahu is not complete without this excursion. Will definitely recommend this excursion to others visiting Hawai’i.

We made a last-minute reservation in Japan for dinner on the day we arrived in Hawaii. In a word, it was amazing!! We chose the buffet, which included desserts and had plenty of food!! We were lucky to have a window seat! During sunset, we were free to get up from our seats, so we took a lot of photos and enjoyed watching Hawaiian dances while eating. The sunset was beautiful, and we could see Diamond Head, making it a wonderful memory!! We also made friends with the overseas guests at the next table, which made for a fun time!! I highly recommend this tour if you come to Hawaii!!

The pick-up and drop-off were easy to understand, and boarding and disembarking at the port were smooth. However, the explanations in Japanese were limited to what was written in the menu, and all announcements on the ship were in English, so I think it would be fine for those with a certain level of language skills or those who are not concerned about that.

The buffet was sufficient in both quantity and taste. Enjoying the sunset on the deck while feeling the breeze was very pleasant, and the view of Diamond Head and the streets of Waikiki from the sea was wonderful.

Since I participated in July, the sunset and the peak of the show coincided, and I wish there had been some consideration regarding that.

行き帰りの送迎も分かりやすく、港での乗下船も分かりやすくてスムーズでした。

Susan was fabulous. She was so knowledgeable about the island and great with our kids (ages 5 and 7). She told us history of the island and suggestions on things to do during our stay. When our kids were getting tired and a bit cranky, she went out and got them water and popsicles. This tour was the highlight of our trip!

Royal Star Grand Circle Island Tour - East Oahu, Pali Lookout, Haleiwa & Dole

On July 14th, 2023 I went on the Grand Circle Island Tour. It was more than a grand experience! We stopped at places I've never been before like the Pali lookout and Byodo-in Temple. Our tour guide Lola was so funny, and extremely knowledgeable of the island. She even gave us a Poi Donut that was so yummy. Her enthusiastic energy, and experience on island made me feel safe and comfortable riding on her bus all day.

Each stop we had plenty of time to take picture, and learn all about these special places. The tour was extremely diverse making it an experience I'll never forget. The bus was so comfortable with amazing air conditioning, and even had a foot rest. The bus being so high up gave an advantage of seeing sights that you couldn't see in a regular car.

We were given plenty of time in Haleiwa to eat lunch and shop. Lola had many great recommendations for lunch there was so many options it was hard to choose! Stopping at the Dole Plantation was the perfect way to end the tour getting a well deserved sweet treat.

I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting the island whether it's your 1st or 50th time on island. Something for everyone!

I was satisfied with the deliciousness of the food. The lobster, in particular, was excellent! It was great that the staff cut it into easy-to-eat pieces. My elderly mother was also very happy and was thrilled with the commemorative photo with her grandchild, where they were embracing each other.

I was worried about seasickness, but I hardly felt any rocking, and the women's restroom was clean and well-maintained.

The show was impressive, and it was fun to end with the YMCA dance. When we disembarked, it was raining, and it was difficult to get to the bus at the front. It would have been nice if they had lent us an umbrella, but overall, I am satisfied with the value for the price. It became a wonderful memory.

I was guided by Yamachan to Haleakalā. There were three groups with seven people in total: one group from Canada and two groups from Japan. Thanks to the clear guidance in both Japanese and English, I was able to enjoy the experience with peace of mind.

Considering the crowds this time, we skipped Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and headed straight to Haleakalā. First, we stopped by a supermarket and purchased the recommended ahi poke from Yamachan. It was the most delicious ahi poke I’ve ever had! The coffee-flavored Maui cookies I bought at the same supermarket are also highly recommended. I wish I had bought more as souvenirs!

After that, to prevent altitude sickness, we ascended gradually by car. I felt the most dizziness and headache at the 1000m mark, but I had no issues at 2000m and 3000m. The summit was very cold, with a perceived temperature of around 0°C. They provided coats, gloves, and warm tea. I was wearing a hoodie, sweatpants, and a light down jacket, but it was too cold to stay for long, so I recommend preparing warm clothing, including Heattech.

The sea of clouds and the sunset were truly beautiful. The view from the prime spot was a real luxury. I couldn't see the last moment due to the flow of clouds, but I was very satisfied.

The starry sky was so breathtaking that it almost brought me to tears. Thanks to Yamachan's extensive expertise and the specialized telescope I had never seen before, I was able to learn and enjoy more than at a planetarium.

They also took many wonderful photos.

This was a tour that I would definitely want to join again when I visit Maui. Thank you very much.

ハレアカラ山を山ちゃんさんにに案内して貰いました。3組7人、1組はカナダから、2組は日本からの参加でした。日本語と英語での分かりやすいガイドで終始安心して楽しむことができました。

今回は混雑を考慮しクリスピークリームドーナツは寄らず、そのままハレアカラに向かいました。まずはスーパーに寄って、山ちゃんさんオススメのアヒポキを購入しました。いままでで1番美味しいアヒポキでした！同じスーパーで購入したマウイクッキーのコーヒー味もオススメです✨たくさん買ってお土産にすればよかったくらいでした。

その後、高山病を考慮して車で少しずつ登ってくださいました。1000m地点が1番目眩と頭痛を感じましたが、2000m、3000mは問題なく進むことができました。山頂は体感温度0℃程度でとても寒かったです。コートと手袋、暖かいお茶を用意してくださりました。パーカー、スウェットパンツ、ライトダウンを着用しておりましたが長時間滞在できない寒さだったため、ヒートテックを含めた防寒対策の準備をおすすめします。

足元に広がる雲海、サンセットは本当に美しかったです。特等席でみる景色は本当に贅沢でした。最後の瞬間は雲の流れで見ることが叶いませんでしたが大満足です。

こぼれんばかりの星空には涙が出そうなほど感動しました。山ちゃんさんの豊富な専門と、見たこともない専門的な望遠鏡のお陰で、プラネタリウム以上に学びながら楽しむことができました。

素敵な写真もたくさんおさめてくださりました。

またマウイ島に訪れる際は是非参加したいとと思えるツアーでした。ありがとうございました。

The vow renewal package is 100% worth it!! What an amazing experience! Captain Mike renewed our vows on the deck. The staff was amazing enough to not just capture photos but also a video which is so memorable! The food was delicious.... a 5 course meal served to us. Way to much for me to eat but totally fresh and delicious food! The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. The Polynesian show was super cool! Overall absolutely worth every cent!!!! A must do!

It exceeded my expectations. I participated in two activities, snorkeling and kayaking, in the morning and afternoon. During the bus ride, the driver provided fun explanations and conversations, making the journey enjoyable without getting bored (the driver was incredibly funny and friendly). They were busy giving us sightseeing information, pointing out things to the right and left.

However, there was one issue: at the snorkeling site, the tour description stated that "life jackets are available for free," but I was told that this was not included in the tour price. Even when I mentioned it was written on the voucher, they insisted it was different. Originally, it would have been $10, but since we came on the tour bus, they said it would be $7. The afternoon activity was kayaking, which I had never done before, but I had a lot of fun. At a break during the morning, we stopped by a macadamia nut shop that had Kona coffee, which I couldn't find even in Waikiki. I tasted it and bought some immediately. We also briefly stopped at a place selling fresh fruit in Ziploc bags, where everyone was buying and eating papayas.

Aside from the issue with the life jackets, it was a very enjoyable tour.

ただひとつ、スノーケリングのところで、ツアー説明には「ライフジャケットは無料で貸し出しします」と書いてあったのに、ツアー代金にそれは含まれていない、と言われ、バウチャーに書いてあると言っても違うと言われ、本来なら10ドルのところ、ツアーバスで来てるから7ドルでOKと言われました。
日本人の参加者は私たち夫婦だけで、他は外国人で、他の人は特に何も言ってなかったので、申し込んだ会社が違うのかなと思いましたが…。
日本人の人が担当で、「私は日本人なので、何かあれば言ってください」とフレンドリーに声かけてきたのですご、なんだかね、って感じでした。

ただ、そばには鶏がたくさん走り回っていて、苦手な私は食事を楽しむことはできませんでしたが。
鶏は人間に慣れているのか、あちこちから神出鬼没でした。
午後のアクティビティはカヤック、初めてでしたがとても楽しめました。
午前中途中の休憩で寄ったマカデミアナッツのお店にはワイキキで探してもなかったコナコーヒーをまぶしたのがあり、味見して、即購入しました。
途中で、ジップロックに入ったフレッシュフルーツを売ってるところにもちょっとだけ立ち寄ってくれ、みなさん、パパイヤを買って食べてました。
ライフジャケットの件を除いては、とても楽しめたツアーでした。

I secured a window seat. On the day of the trip, it was raining on and off from the morning, which made me a bit worried as we boarded. I enjoyed singing and dining, but as it got closer to sunset, we moved to the deck. The view of Diamond Head on the east side was beautiful with good weather, but on the west side where the sunset was, there were dark clouds. We managed to see the sun peeking out, so we did get to see the sunset, but it wasn't the scene I had hoped for. It's a natural phenomenon, so it's all about luck at that moment.

Smith’s Fern Grotto River Cruise with Live Hawaiian Music & Hula

This is our second time going to the Fern Grotto and it was just as beautiful and amazing as the first time we went 9 years ago. We booked online and it was very easy. We got to the check in site and they handed us a ticket with our name already on it and asked us to turn it in when we boarded. Right on time, they asked us to head down to the dock and board our river boat. Everyone that we encountered had a big smile and a kind word for us. They gave us a brief safety talk and we were off! Our guide going out there was very knowledgeable and talked to us about the history of the island. When we reached the Fern Grotto, they sang for us some beautiful songs and then we hiked a little way up to the grotto. We took lots of pictures and then made our way back! We were treated to some songs and beautiful hula dancing on the way back. The young lady on the microphone was so much fun! She was a jokester, and she had a beautiful singing voice. The ladies doing the hula dancing were just so beautiful to watch and you can tell they love what they do. Overall, it was a lot of fun and I highly recommend. I do recommend booking online as it will save you some time when you get there. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
