On 12/19/23 I went on Star of Honolulu, and participated in the Pacific Star Buffet Package. Finding the boat was easy due to it's large size. Walking up we were greeted by real hula dancers, that really set the vibe for the evening. Upon boarding the ship there was staff along the way that assisted in finding your section.

The ship is very large in size, and was so much fun to explore. The top deck was my favorite part, but definitely bring a sweater it can get a bit chilly! I recommend visiting the top deck as the sun is setting for your perfect kodak moment on the water, and once again when it gets' dark to see the beautiful city lights, and view of Diamond Head Crater.

The severs were very studious, and genuine when checking on our table. The buffet line went very quickly, hardly a wait at all! The food was delicious, with many options for all dietary needs. Being mainly plant based I was impressed by all the plant based sides, my favorite was the tofu salad! They even have a vegan patty upon request.

The show, and production was very engaging for the whole family. If you are traveling with a large group including children, I recommend the Pacific Star package there is something for everyone!

I recently attended the Mauka Warriors Luau in Oahu and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the entertainment. Having been to many luaus throughout Hawaii, I can say that Mauka Luau stands out with its unique and special show. The Thrilling Fire Knife Dancing was the best and most impressive on the entire island!

In my opinion, what makes Mauka Luau truly distinctive is its interactive experience and engaging storytelling, The mesmerizing hula and fire performances narrate fascinating stories of the islands' history
Before the dinner and luau show, there is a great variety of different hands-on Polynesian activities to enjoy.

While the buffet might not have the widest variety compared to other luaus, the food at Mauka Luau is incredibly tasty and presented beautifully.

The venue itself offers stunning mountain and ocean views of Waikiki and Honolulu, and if you look carefully, you can even catch a glimpse of Diamond Head in the distance. They strive to offer a more intimate setting and there is plenty of space in between the tables, so you don't feel crowded.

Transportation from Waikiki is available, making it convenient for guests, and the prices are affordable, offering excellent value for the experience you receive at the Luau. Plus, all guests receive complimentary professional photos sent directly to their phones, which is a nice touch.

I highly recommend checking it out!

The riverboat cruise was a great experience. The riverboat ride was gentle and relaxing. The views were exceptional. Our host gave us a background of the area, which was interesting, and also let us enjoy the peaceful silence as well. Seeing the kayakers on the river was enjoyable. My only advice would be to wear good shoes with traction. The walk up to the grotto can be a little slippery due to moisture and moss. The entertainment that took place at the destination of the grotto, was really entertaining. Enjoy the ride!

Guaranteed window-side or private seating! We participated in the 3-star (lobster & steak) experience with my husband.

First, we got off the shuttle bus and entered the ship, but there was no guide, and we didn't know where to go. Following the crowd to the second floor, we were told, "You are on the first floor," and after going down, we still didn't know which room or seat to go to. We finally managed to find a staff member who helped us get to our seats.

Later, I realized that the sticker given on the shuttle bus had the floor number written on it... However, with hundreds of people boarding, I really wished there had been some guidance on where to go when we got on the ship.

Then, the toast performance started right away, but our glasses were empty, and we toasted with empty glasses. I thought they would come to take drink orders, but the servers were too busy, and it was impossible. When the lobster was brought to us, I asked to place a drink order, but I was told to wait, and it took a long time to get someone. I finally managed to order when the server brought drinks to the people at the next table. I mentioned that we didn't have the toast champagne, but it was never brought to us afterward.

Finally, our drinks arrived, but I ordered a non-alcoholic drink, and when I tasted it, it clearly had alcohol in it. I wanted to get it changed, but the server was always busy, so it was impossible. When the steak was brought, I told them it was not what I ordered and asked for a change, but again, nothing came. During the main course, I hadn't been able to drink even a drop, so I ended up drinking self-serve water (laughs). I've been to Hawaii several times, so I didn't expect Japanese-style service, but I was quite disappointed. Although we had a window-side seat, the windows on the first floor were dirty from the water splashes, so I couldn't take any pictures through the window.

On the other hand, the performers were doing their best to entertain everyone. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset due to the clouds, but it was a great opportunity to see Waikiki from the ocean side, and the scenery and night view were lovely.

There are many good reviews, so maybe I just had an off experience, but for about 66,000 yen for two people with transportation included, I can't recommend it to anyone, and I won't be repeating this experience.

ドリンクの注文は聞きに来てくれるだろうと待ってましたが、サーバーが忙しくしていて全然無理。ロブスターを運んできた時にドリンクオーダーをお願いしたがちょっと待ってと言われ、なかなか来ず。隣の席の人のドリンクを運んできた時に再度声かけてやっと注文できました。そのときに乾杯のシャンパンがなかった旨伝えましたが、その後持ってくることはありませんでした。
やっとドリンクが来ましたが、私はノンアルを頼んだのに飲んだら明らかにアルコールが入っていてトホホ…。変えてもらおうにもずっとサーバーが忙しくしていて無理。ステーキを運んできたときに、注文したものと違うから変えてほしいと伝えました。が待ってもやはり来ず。メイン食べてる時にもドリンクが一滴も飲めていないという状況、私もうセルフのお水飲みました（苦笑）。私の注文はもう諦め、ステーキのお皿を下げにきた時に主人の2杯目のドリンクを注文したけど、これまた最後まで運ばれることはありませんでした。プランには1人2杯のドリンクが含まれていますが、2時間の乗船で2杯飲むことは不可能だと感じました。
ちなみに英語は堪能ではありませんが、ある程度の会話はできます。
ハワイには何回か行っていますので、日本のようなサービスを期待してはいませんが、なんかガッカリでした。
窓側席でしたが、1階の窓は水しぶきで汚れてますので、窓越しに写真なんて撮れません。
ちなみにパフォーマンスの方はみんなを楽しませようと頑張っていました。
くもりでサンセットは残念ながら見れませんでしたが、ワイキキを海側から見る機会はないので景色や夜景は素敵でした。
良い口コミが多いので、私がハズレに当たっただけかもしれませんが、送迎付き2人で約66,000円、誰かにオススメもできませんし、リピートはないです。

We would definitely do this again! We were picked up at our hotel. The tour guide showed us many places on the way, and was very knowledgeable, as well as entertaining.
When we were on the top of Haleakala, he took us all over the national park, then to a private spot to experience the sunset above the clouds.
Then he had his telescopes set up for us to view all sorts of stars, constellations and planets. He used a laser pointer to point out everything so we knew exectly what we were looking at. I was most impressed when he showed us Jupiter and Saturn - they were exquisite!

Three cheers for tour guide Yoshikazu Yamauchi - he is the best!

We had a wonderful time! The sunset in Hawaii was beautiful, and we even got to see fireworks at the end, which made both the kids and parents very happy. At the end, we had a moment to celebrate the anniversary person, and when I handed over a paper with their name, they called out the name and celebrated the birthday as well! Each person received three drink tickets, so we could enjoy some alcohol, and the kids had tropical juices, which they loved. It would have been nice to have options for rice in addition to just bread. This was a request from the kids who wanted to eat meat and rice. I would love to participate again when I go back to Hawaii.

We had such a great time! The crew was so nice. We had a great snorkel day, saw lots of fish. The water activities were a great bonus. The slide and platform were fun too! We went as a couple but great for families/children also. Had pastries and yogurt for breakfast, burgers for lunch, and cash bar open the entire time. I do wish for the price at least 1 drink could be included, but it was still a great time. We even saw some dolphins following our boat shortly before docking at the end

This is my second time in Hawaii. Since the day I arrived in Honolulu, it has been raining continuously, and even on the day I had booked, it was raining (tears). I didn't expect it to rain this much during the rainy season! I wore a water-repellent windbreaker for the rain, but since I'm particularly sensitive to the cold, I wished I could wear a fleece underneath.

For those participating on rainy days, the ground is muddy and slippery, so while it may add to your luggage, I think it's a good idea to bring a change of clothes for when you get dirty and to make sure you stay warm.

Despite the bad weather, I was able to enjoy all the activities. I love plants, and I was excited to see vibrant plants that I had never seen before, glistening in the rain.

If it were sunny, you could see the ocean in the distance, so I would love to have another chance to come back. Thank you very much.

The show featured a Hawaiian dance performance that was lively, and it took place not just in one spot but in three locations within the venue, so you don't have to keep looking in the same direction and strain your neck. We loved this tour! We saw SO MUCH all in one day! The morning view at the Blowhole is worth getting up early! We were treated to an extra exciting Honu (turtle) sighting! The North Shore area is still a beautiful gem on the island, quintessential Hawaii. The Temple and Waimea Falls were welcome peaceful hideaways, away from the Honolulu city vibe. The surrounding mountains are majestic! We learned quite a lot about Hawaiian history and culture. We tasted SO MANY Hawaiian delicious delights- Leonard’s masadas, North Shore shrimp, macadamia nuts, fresh farm fruits, Matsuto’s shave ice, Dole Whip! My mouth is watering,

Hawaii weather is perfect! Sure there is a little rain, but the rainbows afterwards are so beautiful!

The bus is comfortable. We didn’t have to deal with driving or finding parking. Our tour guide was an excellent driver!

Our tour guide also shared some beautiful personal stories of his life and family in Hawaii. My girls were especially touched by his pineapple farming memories.

My husband and I enjoyed it for the second time, and the first-timers with us had a great time as well. Due to the weak yen, we were torn between the buffet, but choosing lobster was the right decision. Watching the sunset and night view from the boat feels wonderful!

The female instructor was friendly and supportive, making the tour very enjoyable. At several points, we were able to take photos, and we took breaks to avoid getting tired, which was reassuring. By pedaling and moving around myself, I was able to truly appreciate the vastness of Kualoa. Along the way, we also visited a tunnel where panels introduced the movies filmed at Kualoa. We even took videos using a jeep that resembled something out of Jurassic Park, which became a wonderful memory. I participated in an ATV tour in the past, and I had a great time again this time.

This is the number one thing we wanted to do in Hawaii and it sure exceeded our expectations. Such a wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable guide and meeting cousin Flippa was awesome! Very highly recommended!!!

Complete Pearl Harbor Tour with Lunch - Visit Main Exhibits, Memorials & Museums

Good tour, well run, would recommend

Very early pick up but tour was well organised. Only concern was having lunch at about 11.15am in aviation museum - a bit too early. Not sure the 10 minute quick stop on the way back into Honolulu counted as a city tour. Otherwise a good tour highly recommended for a full day.
