When you think of Kilauea Volcano, you imagine Halemaʻumaʻu Crater (the promotional images are actually from that location), but instead, you are shown a different crater. It's understandable with nature, but I didn't get to see any red lava at all. The pilot was friendly and cheerful, which was nice. Even though I knew it was exaggerated advertising, I was still quite disappointed.

The staff were friendly and taught us a lot, and although the photography service was paid, they took many pictures for us, which was nice. The fear only lasts for that brief moment, so just brace yourself and let yourself be pushed from behind. After that, you'll experience free fall, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery with the parachute, so have fun!

その後は自分の名前が呼ばれるまでは、朝食が売ってるワゴン車があったり、のんびり名前呼ばれてからは日本語が話せるインストラクターは今せんが、片言の日本語で教えて下さいました！セスナ機に乗り込んだあとは、セスナ機の後方に飛ぶ窓口があるため後ろ向きに飛びました！酔う片言は酔い止めをあった方がいかも。一応そこでも売っましたし、ABCストアでも酔い止め売ってました！
飛ぶ時は、ほんと一瞬怖いと思いましたが言われた通りの姿勢でインストラクターに任せていたら、気づいたら飛んでて。半袖でも寒くはなかったですが、下からの風がすごくてなかなか笑うのも大変でしたパラシュート開いた後はコンタクトで無ければ安全メガネを外してくれて景色を楽しむことが出来ました！それでも風で口や目がすごく乾きました！
着地の時は芝生が濡れてたので、靴や着地のときにお尻を着いたりしてる方もいて濡れたり汚れたりがあるので汚れてもいい服の方が良さそうです！あと、一応そこで靴も紐タイプの靴とかでなければ借りれるみたいです！

I stayed at a hotel in Waikoloa and booked a morning flight. It takes about two hours by car to Hilo, and it was a mistake to stop by the Tex Drive-In along the way, as the road to Hilo was completely blocked due to construction!!! Fortunately, the third staff member I spoke to could speak a little Japanese, and I barely made it with a 30-minute delay. At the airport, there was also a staff member who assisted me in Japanese. After the briefing, just when I was ready to go, the flight for that day was canceled due to bad weather... Oh no... I was wondering what to do when another staff member who spoke Japanese came and helped me book a flight for the next day. I was really grateful!!!

The next day, I had an afternoon flight. After departing from Waikoloa, the weather started to deteriorate again, and I thought it might be canceled today too... but surprisingly, the flight was okay! It was a small helicopter with four people, including the pilot. I boarded with a bit of nervousness, and in no time, we were up in the air!!! - Flip-flops will be too cold, so please wear sneakers or something similar.
- If you have long hair, it's better to tie it up to avoid it hitting your face. I was in the back seat, and the wind coming from the back to the front was so strong that it hit my face and eyes, making it really painful to the point of tears. At one point, I had to put on my hoodie and hold my head down.

そして、翌日は午後のフライト。ワイコロアを出発してから、天候がまたも崩れ始め、今日もダメかも・・・と思っていのですが、なんとフライトOK！
パイロットも含め４人乗りのちっちゃなヘリでした。やや緊張しつつ乗り込むとあっと言う間に上空へ！！！
想像以上に風が強くて、ヘットセッドが風で飛んでしまいそうで必死に抑えていました。それと強風で髪の毛が顔にガンガン当たって痛いのなんの。。
ヘロヘロになりながらでしたが、火口の上空に来た時は、あまりの迫力に圧倒されました。残念ながら溶岩は見えなかったのですが、火口の周りを何度もゆっくりと旋回して、大迫力の画像が撮れました。
ということで、お勧めなのですが、これから行かれる方にアドバイス
・ワイコロアから行かれる方は、寄り道せずに、Daniel k.lnouye Hwyで横断していくことを強くお勧めします。
・スマホやビデオを持って行かれるかたは、首から下げるストラップは必須。
　風が強すぎて持って行かれれます。
・上空は相当寒いです。パーカーやフリース持って行きましょう。
・ビーサンでは寒いのでスニーカーなどでお願いします。
・髪が長い方は縛った方が良いです。とにかく顔に当たらないように。
私は後ろの席だったのですが、とにかく、後ろから前に来る風がすごくて、顔や目に当たって本当に涙が出るほど痛かったです。途中でパーカー被って頭を抑えていたくらいですから。

One thing that was a bit disappointing was that I couldn't see any lava. Even though I was looking down into the crater, it was just a big hole because it had calmed down. I thought I would be able to see the lava entering the sea, but it seems that either there was never a plan for that, or it was no longer possible due to the calm.

The optional trip down to the base of the waterfall was amazing. I can't really gauge the true scale, but it felt like being at the bottom of Kegon Falls, looking up from below. There was no one else around, so it felt like a private waterfall. There's only enough space for one helicopter to land, and I don't think you can get there by car. I highly recommend this optional tour.

The helicopter guide and pilot was a Japanese person. It seems that the group I happened to be with had booked through the guide's website, which is why a Japanese guide was assigned. Requesting a Japanese guide might not be very effective.

Lastly, it was my first time on a helicopter, and if you're prone to motion sickness, it might be a good idea to take some medication. The vibrations from the helicopter can make you feel queasy. The flight itself wasn't scary, and even though it was my first time, I didn't feel particularly moved by it (laughs).

ヘリコプターのガイド兼操縦士さんは日本人の方でした。どうやらたまたま一緒に乗り合わせたグループの方がガイドさんのホームページから予約されたため、日本人の方がガイドに着いたようです。日本語ガイドの希望を出しても、あまり意味が無いかもです。
最後に、ヘリコプターに初めて乗りましたが、酔いやすい人は酔い止め飲んだ方がいいかもです。ヘリコプターの振動が酔いそうになります。飛行自体は怖くもなく、初めて乗ったのですが、あまり感動はなかったです(笑)

A cute storm named Tropical Storm Olivia had just passed by Oahu, so there was some wind and light rain, which made my fear of heights reach its maximum. I was scared when signing the multi-page waiver and while waiting for the flight, but thanks to the instructors who eased my nerves, I felt surprisingly okay just before jumping. During the free fall, I was overwhelmed with the feeling of breathlessness, the cold air, and reacting to the cameraman. It was a good decision to wear thin long sleeves for both the top and bottom, as it was chilly up in the air.

You need a 25-cent coin to use the coin lockers, but there are change machines and ATMs available for credit card cash withdrawals. The food sold at the food wagon was delicious. I was advised to eat something before the jump, so I did.

I was worried about when to give tips after the jump, but I was relieved to find that there were notes and small boxes for each instructor where I could leave messages and tips. There was also guidance to give a $10 tip to the driver on the way back, and everyone handed it over when getting out of the car.

Considering that the staff at Pacific Skydiving Center paid close attention to safety, even though I, as a carefree tourist, wanted to experience something dangerous out of curiosity, I was happy to tip the instructors, cameraman, and the driver.

I have taken this course 3 to 4 times before, but this was my first experience in a doorless helicopter.

On top of that, sitting next to the pilot in a seat with an amazing view where I could see the ground beneath my feet was thrilling.

Honestly, I felt very scared during takeoff in the doorless helicopter, but after 2 to 3 minutes, it turned into a pleasurable experience. I could feel the wind, smell the sulfur, and even sense the humidity in the clouds.

However, wearing a polo shirt and shorts made it quite cold.
