I had hoped to do a lava walk, but since it was closed off, I decided to book a helicopter tour. From my wallet's perspective, I felt like I was taking a leap off a stage at Kiyomizu Temple, but when I actually went, it wasn't expensive at all. In fact, this experience is priceless. Fortunately, the weather was great, and I could see the lava well, but what moved me even more than the lava was the Kohala Falls. Seeing multiple waterfalls with a drop of about 900 meters made me tear up at the beauty of the Earth. I thought I would like to bring my family next time. I highly recommend everyone to experience this at least once. I was so moved that I forgot to take pictures of Kohala.

My first skydiving experience. I came to Hawaii last year, but I couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts, so I was determined to make a comeback this time. However, the weather was unfortunately rainy... I was really anxious, thinking I might not be able to do it, but after waiting for about an hour, we suddenly took off when the sky cleared a bit!

The instructor and the cameraman were both really funny. We boarded the Cessna and headed up into the sky!! Before takeoff, I was so excited that I couldn't contain myself, but gradually I started to feel anxious... (after all, I have a fear of heights... but I love roller coasters!). When the door of the Cessna opened, there was no time to hesitate, and we jumped right into the open sky!!! I was the first one to jump, but others said, "Seeing someone fall from the plane is an indescribable feeling." Once we were flying, it was just pure fun. The moment we landed, I thought, "I want to jump again!" I intended to buy either a photo or a video as a keepsake, but both turned out so great that I ended up purchasing both! (It's definitely better to have the cameraman take the video). I want to jump again the next time I come to Hawaii!

I finally went skydiving with my mother! We signed up for the 9 AM session with round-trip hotel transportation, so I woke up at 4 AM and was picked up at the hotel at 5 AM as planned. After stopping at several hotels, there were about 12 people on the bus I was on. We arrived at the airfield in about an hour. There were already around 15 to 20 people there.

We watched a video and listened to explanations, and while waiting for our turn, we could relax freely. Groups of about six people went at a time, and we couldn't choose our order. My mother and I were in the last group, so we waited for about an hour and a half, but it wasn't a problem at all since we had snacks, took photos, and watched the dives of the previous groups, which helped us mentally prepare (laughs). If you finish your jump early, you still have to wait for the bus to leave, so it's good to have something to do. There are plenty of tables and chairs, so I recommend bringing snacks. They also had some for sale from a cart. All bags must be stored in a coin locker (you need four 25-cent coins).

When our turn came, we got on the helicopter and arrived at the jump point in about 10 to 15 minutes! Once we arrived, we jumped right away! No waiting! (laughs) If you wear contacts or glasses, they let you keep them on and provide goggles! I wore goggles too, but they were a bit tight, so my eyelash extensions got in the way, making it a little difficult to open my eyes. During free fall, it was hard to breathe, and my cheeks flapped, but it was the best experience ever!!! On the way back, everyone was sleeping on the bus. We got back to our hotel in Waikiki before 11 AM, so we were able to rest a bit and still have plenty of time to enjoy the afternoon. ビデオを見たり説明を聞いて、順番がくるまでは自由に待機。1グループ6人ずつくらいで、順番は選べませんでした。わたしと母は最終グループだったので、1時間半くらい待ちましたが、持参した軽食を食べたり、写真を撮ったり、前のグループの人達のダイブを見ていたりしたので心の準備もゆっくりできて（笑）全然苦ではなかったです。(逆に早く飛び終わっても帰りのバスがすぐ出発するわけではないので、待ってないといけません)テーブルとイスがたくさんあるので、軽食を持参することをオススメします。ワゴン販売？で売ってもいました。荷物はすべてコインロッカーに預けます。(25セント硬貨×4枚必要)順番がきたらヘリに乗って約10分〜15分くらいでダイブするポイントに到着！着いたらもうすぐ飛びます！待ったナシ！笑 コンタクトやメガネのひとはつけたままでゴーグル貸してくれます！わたしもゴーグルしましたが、きつめにつけられるのでマツエクが当たって目が開けづらかったのでちょっと大変でした。フリーホール中は息がしづらかったり、ほっぺたビロビロなったけど、結果最高でした！！！ただ後半何回か旋回するので酔い止め必須です。飲まなかったら多分出てたかも！笑
わたしは写真とビデオを頼んでいたので、終わったあと、それぞれのできあがりを確認。気に入らなければ買わなくてもいいみたいですが、両方買わないはダメと最初に説明がありました。わたしは両方気にいったので写真もビデオも購入。460ドル。(クレジット払いOKです)データはUSBでもらえます！それで終了。帰りのバスはみんな寝てました。11時前にはワイキキのホテルに帰ってこれたので、少し休憩して午後からも十分遊べました。天候によっては中止になったり、待ち時間がもっと長くなったりもあると聞いていたので、天候にめぐまれてスムーズに終われて良かったです。一生の思い出になりました。

There is an indescribable thrill that only those who have experienced it can understand. We had a total of 11 people picked up from Honolulu for the morning course. After arriving and a brief explanation, we waited about an hour before the dive. It wasn't as long of a wait as I expected.

There was a staff member who was fluent in Japanese, so we were able to get by without any particular inconvenience. The instructor didn't speak Japanese, but what he was saying was simple, and he taught us using gestures, which made it reassuring.

Then we took off in the Cessna! Once the door opened, we dropped immediately. There were people waiting behind us to jump, so there was no time to say "Ah, scary!" (laughs). Skydiving really goes by in an instant, but there's no doubt it will be an amazing experience! The free fall was a bit breathless, but it lasts just a moment, so it's bearable (・ω・).

I was fine, but there were about two people who felt sick afterward. If you're prone to motion sickness, it might be wise to take some anti-nausea medication beforehand.

I was looking forward to seeing the lava of Kilauea on the Big Island from an angle that can't be seen from the ground, but I was a bit disappointed as it was just smoke. However, when we entered Waipi'o Valley, it was breathtaking. I was very moved.

The pilot was also very nice.

As others in the group mentioned, we were hoping for a Japanese or Japanese-speaking pilot, but we had an English speaker instead. I think they should contact us in advance if they can't meet our request. If I had known, I would have chosen another company. It was a very good flight and the staff were great, so it was a bit disappointing to see that lack of transparency. Because of that, I am deducting one star.

地上からでは見られない角度からのハワイ島、ｷﾗｳｪｱの溶岩が楽しみだったのですが煙のみで少しがっかりでした。
でも、ﾜｲﾋﾟｵ渓谷に入って行ったときには圧巻。とても感激でした。

When you think of Kilauea Volcano, you imagine Halemaʻumaʻu Crater (the promotional images are actually from that location), but instead, you are shown a different crater. It's understandable with nature, but I didn't get to see any red lava at all. The pilot was friendly and cheerful, which was nice. Even though I knew it was exaggerated advertising, I was still quite disappointed.

The staff were friendly and taught us a lot, and although the photography service was paid, they took many pictures for us, which was nice. While attaching the harness on the plane before diving, I chatted with my partner. Everyone was considerate, trying to ease our tension.

When it came time to jump, I did feel my legs tremble, but by that point, it was too late since I was already on the plane (laughs).

The fear only lasts for that brief moment, so just brace yourself and let yourself be pushed from behind. After that, you'll experience free fall, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery with the parachute, so have fun!

その後は自分の名前が呼ばれるまでは、朝食が売ってるワゴン車があったり、のんびり名前呼ばれてからは日本語が話せるインストラクターは今せんが、片言の日本語で教えて下さいました！セスナ機に乗り込んだあとは、セスナ機の後方に飛ぶ窓口があるため後ろ向きに飛びました！酔う片言は酔い止めをあった方がいかも。一応そこでも売っましたし、ABCストアでも酔い止め売ってました！
飛ぶ時は、ほんと一瞬怖いと思いましたが言われた通りの姿勢でインストラクターに任せていたら、気づいたら飛んでて。半袖でも寒くはなかったですが、下からの風がすごくてなかなか笑うのも大変でしたパラシュート開いた後はコンタクトで無ければ安全メガネを外してくれて景色を楽しむことが出来ました！それでも風で口や目がすごく乾きました！
着地の時は芝生が濡れてたので、靴や着地のときにお尻を着いたりしてる方もいて濡れたり汚れたりがあるので汚れてもいい服の方が良さそうです！あと、一応そこで靴も紐タイプの靴とかでなければ借りれるみたいです！

It was my second time skydiving, and it was so much fun! The moment you jump into the air is incredibly scary and thrilling, but once you're flying, it's just amazing. I had such a fun experience that I can't believe I did it in my lifetime! I think it was so wonderful that it felt cheap for the price! I asked for both video and photos, and I appreciate that they edited them into something really cool on their own! I definitely want to do it again when I go to Hawaii!

I was wondering what to do when another staff member who spoke Japanese came and helped me book a flight for the next day. I was really grateful!!!

The next day, I had an afternoon flight. After departing from Waikoloa, the weather started to deteriorate again, and I thought it might be canceled today too... but surprisingly, the flight was okay! そして、翌日は午後のフライト。ワイコロアを出発してから、天候がまたも崩れ始め、今日もダメかも・・・と思っていのですが、なんとフライトOK！
パイロットも含め４人乗りのちっちゃなヘリでした。やや緊張しつつ乗り込むとあっと言う間に上空へ！！！
想像以上に風が強くて、ヘットセッドが風で飛んでしまいそうで必死に抑えていました。それと強風で髪の毛が顔にガンガン当たって痛いのなんの。。
ヘロヘロになりながらでしたが、火口の上空に来た時は、あまりの迫力に圧倒されました。残念ながら溶岩は見えなかったのですが、火口の周りを何度もゆっくりと旋回して、大迫力の画像が撮れました。
ということで、お勧めなのですが、これから行かれる方にアドバイス
・ワイコロアから行かれる方は、寄り道せずに、Daniel k.lnouye Hwyで横断していくことを強くお勧めします。
・スマホやビデオを持って行かれるかたは、首から下げるストラップは必須。
　風が強すぎて持って行かれれます。
・上空は相当寒いです。パーカーやフリース持って行きましょう。
・ビーサンでは寒いのでスニーカーなどでお願いします。
・髪が長い方は縛った方が良いです。とにかく顔に当たらないように。
私は後ろの席だったのですが、とにかく、後ろから前に来る風がすごくて、顔や目に当たって本当に涙が出るほど痛かったです。途中でパーカー被って頭を抑えていたくらいですから。

One thing that was a bit disappointing was that I couldn't see any lava. Even though I was looking down into the crater, it was just a big hole because it had calmed down. I thought I would be able to see the lava entering the sea, but it seems that either there was never a plan for that, or it was no longer possible due to the calm.

The optional trip down to the base of the waterfall was amazing. I can't really gauge the true scale, but it felt like being at the bottom of Kegon Falls, looking up from below. There was no one else around, so it felt like a private waterfall. There's only enough space for one helicopter to land, and I don't think you can get there by car. I highly recommend this optional tour.

The helicopter guide and pilot was a Japanese person. It seems that the group I happened to be with had booked through the guide's website, which is why a Japanese guide was assigned. Requesting a Japanese guide might not be very effective.

Lastly, it was my first time on a helicopter, and if you're prone to motion sickness, it might be a good idea to take some medication. The vibrations from the helicopter can make you feel queasy. ヘリコプターのガイド兼操縦士さんは日本人の方でした。どうやらたまたま一緒に乗り合わせたグループの方がガイドさんのホームページから予約されたため、日本人の方がガイドに着いたようです。日本語ガイドの希望を出しても、あまり意味が無いかもです。
最後に、ヘリコプターに初めて乗りましたが、酔いやすい人は酔い止め飲んだ方がいいかもです。ヘリコプターの振動が酔いそうになります。飛行自体は怖くもなく、初めて乗ったのですが、あまり感動はなかったです(笑)
