This is why people come to Hawaii for a vacation and adventure. Today we had an awesome time from start to finish. Both Laura and T. from Ohio ( forgive not knowing how to spell his name) were absolutely the best. Very easygoing, sociable, and very informative about the excursion, the ecosystem and all it encompasses. We could see the passion they both have for the environment. They worked well as a team, always putting safety first.
As for the the actual excursion... Pickup was on time, the briefing was short but thorough. And off we went. We were towed out to a point (to save time) then we were cut loose to follow our leader out to our destination. Once there, they reviewed the do's and don'ts regarding the ecosystem and its inhabitants. We snorkeled for over an hour while our guides educated us about all the different things we were seeing. Once done we kayaked back the the shore, rinsed off and sat down for an impressive lunch. (thanks to the cook) YUMMY
Sad to say it was over... highly recommend this tour, company and crew!!!

We all participated in a wedding in Hawaii with both families. There were about 10 of us in total, and everyone was extremely satisfied with the experience!

We were thrilled to see sea turtles and were amazed by the mysterious scenery of the sandbar. The snorkeling allowed us to see plenty of fish, creating wonderful memories. Although I couldn't eat much, I definitely want to participate again!

I participated in the morning sandbar tour and explored Kailua. The water level at the sandbar was a bit high, around waist-deep, but it wasn't a concern. During snorkeling, I was able to see sea turtles, and the scenery was very beautiful. I wonder if the water level varies seasonally.

I also enjoyed exploring Kailua thoroughly in the afternoon. It was a very sunny day, but the cold water service on the way back was a great help.

The staff members were the friendliest and most pleasant I encountered during my stay. I highly recommend this experience. I'm considering joining the early morning tour next time.

I finally participated in the sandbar that I had been curious about every time I went to Hawaii but had never visited before! Although I couldn't see the sandy beach like in pictures or on TV, that's due to the tides, so it can't be helped. Still, the shallowest part was about knee-deep, which felt strange since it was in the middle of the ocean. During our free time, I skipped snorkeling and focused solely on stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). It was so much fun to stand on the board and paddle for the first time! Turtles also came close to the boat, and they were adorable. The brunch was incredibly delicious! This became my favorite memory from this trip to Hawaii. I'm glad I participated.

We participated as a couple. Knowing that the sandbar's experience depends on the tides, we researched the low tide days in August back in April and made our reservation. Due to time constraints, we couldn't experience the magazine-like sandbar with water levels up to our knees, and the weather was cloudy, which was a bit disappointing. However, as soon as we arrived, a small honu greeted us, and we were very moved.

During snorkeling, we were surrounded by three large honu resting on the coral and colorful fish. We also got to try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), which we had been interested in for a while, and enjoyed a lunch that was plentiful and delicious, allowing us to forget the stress of Japan in an instant. (The shrimp was especially tasty!)

The crew was fluent in Japanese and very cheerful, and there were thoughtful arrangements and menus for families with small children, making it a tour that families can enjoy with peace of mind. As a couple, we accidentally mixed up the lunch order for different boats, but they responded with a smile saying, "No Problem!" which has become a nice memory for us.

On the round-trip flight, we saw honu, and we even encountered real honu in the beautiful sea, making this trip to Hawaii all about honu.

往復の飛行機もホヌ、そしてきれいな海では本物のホヌに会うこともでき、今回のハワイ旅行はホヌ三昧でした。

I had an early pickup at 6 AM, but when I woke up, it was already 5:51 AM!! I hurriedly got dressed and left my room, and somehow managed to make it in time for the pickup. On the bus ride there, the guide's fun explanations kept me awake and alert. When we arrived at the port, the sea was calm with hardly any waves, which surprised the guide as well. Shortly after departing, we spotted dolphins. Although the water was murky, we were able to see the dolphins without them ever coming on board. We were thrilled to see the dolphins spinning and jumping around happily. After that, we also got to see a huge turtle that looked like a rock.

The captain and crew were very kind and helpful. They guided my mother, who was snorkeling in deep water for the first time, and she was able to swim without any issues. She had been worried about swimming and seasickness, but she seemed to get used to it and was satisfied by the end. I, on the other hand, felt a bit unwell towards the end, possibly due to lack of sleep since I arrived in Hawaii the day before. I think it's better to get enough rest and prepare your body beforehand. As for photos, I was so focused on watching the dolphins that I didn't have the chance to take many. Therefore, I mostly took pictures on the boat. A professional photographer accompanied us and took photos of the dolphins, turtles, and participants. It was $50 for data sent via email and $60 for a USB purchase. Payment can be made on the day or later at the office. It is a bit pricey, but since it includes photos you can't take yourself, I think it's worth it as a keepsake. If you're considering purchasing, I recommend actively asking for photos.

Also, for those who are sensitive to the cold or worried about sunburn, I think it's better to rent a wetsuit ($10 per person). It says on the Veltra website that only those who can swim on their own can participate in snorkeling, but I would like them to specify that it requires being able to swim well using a breaststroke. I regretted that there are other tour companies that do provide fins for rent.

You cannot board the boat wearing flip-flops, so I recommend wearing reef shoes from the hotel, bringing seasickness medication, putting your phone in a waterproof case, and wearing a rash guard to prevent sunburn.

We had an early morning pickup. We drove in the dark and headed to the coast while watching the sunrise. I thought we would only see turtles and dolphins from a distance. We missed the dolphins, but surprisingly, a turtle came up from the seabed right in front of us and almost collided with us! The photos we purchased separately were attached to an email, and it’s clear that professional shots are better. There were turtles and dolphins captured from positions other than ours. Oh, and the spam onigiri for a light snack was delicious. I've had many, but it was very much to the taste of Japanese people. I wonder where they sell it? Custom-made? The guide who accompanied us was Japanese (a woman named Yukiko), and she provided detailed guidance and support in Japanese, which was very helpful since we were participating with two preschoolers. When we asked for photos, she coordinated multiple shots with various backgrounds and poses, which made us very happy. (Although it was a family trip, it's not easy to get everyone in the same photo...) My 6-year-old daughter quickly got used to snorkeling. My 4-year-old son seemed to struggle with the snorkeling mask, but he enjoyed the underwater experience with goggles.

付いてくださったガイドの方が日本人（ユキコさんという女性）で、日本語によるきめ細やかな案内、対応をしていただけました。未就学児2人を連れての参加でしたので、とても助かりました。

I was picked up at my hotel in Honolulu, and after about a 40-minute drive with the instructor and others, we arrived at the bay while listening to stories about Hawaii's traffic conditions. Since it was introduced on TV, I had been looking forward to meeting the manta rays. I had some concerns about whether I could participate on the day of the tour because I heard from other tour guides that the boat was broken, but the boat they arranged for us was a hand-me-down from the navy? It was cool! (The boat, that is!). It's a shame I didn't take any pictures.

The weather was decent on the day, and we were able to enjoy the sunset over the sea. Since it gets cold at night, I rented a wetsuit for $10. That was the right choice. I was able to enjoy myself without feeling cold. The guide adjusted the snorkeling gear to fit each individual and provided a proper explanation on how to wear it.

I felt great floating in the sea while watching the fantastic manta rays and fish. The guide kept encouraging the other participants to raise their legs to attract the manta rays, and he quickly noticed when my husband started feeling unwell and took care of him.

Because we were scattering bait in the water, in the end, two manta rays took turns opening their mouths and spinning around. They performed a somersault right in front of the kids, which was very exciting. It was just like what we saw on TV! On the way back, I definitely felt the cold. I'm glad I brought a bath towel. 他のツアーガイドさんからボートが故障していると聞いていたので当日まで参加できるのかという思いがありましたが、代わりに手配してくれたボートは海軍のお下がり？でした。かっこよかったです。（ボートが！）。写真を撮ってこなかったのが残念。

当日は天気もまずまず海からのサンセットも鑑賞できました。夜になると冷えるからということでウェットスーツ（10ドル）を借りました。正解でした。寒さを感じずに楽しめました。
シュノーケルセットは個人に合うようにガイドさんが調節してくれます。つけ方もきちんとレクチャーしてくれました。
私は海にプカプカ浮きながら幻想的なマンタや魚を見れてとても気持ちよかったです。

ガイドさんが、マンタが来やすいように足を上げてね～、と終始他の参加者に声をかけてくれたし、
途中夫が気分が悪くなったのもいち早く気づいていただき、対処をしてくれました。
海に撒き餌（？！）をする形となったせいか、最後はマンタ２枚がかわるがわる口を開けて回転してくれました。
子供の目の前で宙返りを見せてくれたので大興奮でした。ほんとにテレビで見た通りだったね！と。
帰りのボートはさすがに寒さを感じました。バスタオルを持って行って良かったです。
ボートを降りてからの暖かいココアがとても美味しかったです。
