Horseback is maybe the best way to experience the Waipeo Valley. Our guides and horses were very experienced. My only critique is that I wish we'd had more time to talk with the guides-- maybe even after we got back to the stables. It was also a good value for the money, but I'd have paid more for some extra time with them.

I really wanted to ride a horse, so I booked this place since it was close by and I had planned to go skydiving in the morning. As soon as I entered, I spotted a horse! I arrived a bit too early, so I explored the area! Right behind was the beautiful ocean of the North Shore! The location is amazing!

There were two women guiding us, and one of them did her best to explain in Japanese. But it was simple enough to understand. More than that, the horse was so well-behaved that it was quite comfortable.

Along the way, the horse ate grass and pooped. It had a free-spirited vibe that I can't experience in Japan. I definitely want to go again. If possible, I want to be able to ride like a wild samurai.

I went with a friend, but my friend got motion sickness from skydiving, so I ended up riding with a family from the West. They took some photos, and I made great memories!

どうしても馬に乗りたくて、朝スカイダイビングする予定で、すぐ近くだったのでこちらを予約しました。 入り口入ったらすぐ馬発見！案外早く着きすぎたので、近くを探索しました！すぐ裏はノースショアのきれいな海！ロケーションサイコーです！
案内してくれたのは女性2人、1人の女性は頑張って日本語で説明してくれました。でも簡単な説明なので余裕で理解しました。っと言うより馬が良い子過ぎてかなり快適でした。
途中で草を食べたり、ウンチしたり。自由な感じが日本では味わえない雰囲気でした。
また、是非行きたいです。出来れば暴れん坊将軍位乗れるようになりたい。
友達と行ったのですが、友達はスカイダイビング酔いをしてしまい結果私1人と欧米の家族での乗馬でした。写真も撮って頂きいい思い出できました！

Captain Tiger was great. Unfortunately, the other travelers were not. Plenty of people complaining about the heat, or weren't satisfied that they hadn't caught anything after 2 mins on the water. Other people intentionally cut off the sinkers so they could fish on the surface, and some almost tangled up in the motor while we were driving because they were impatient. Still caught several fish myself though.

Captain Tiger knows what he's doing, and if you follow his lead you will catch plenty of fish. We had a good haul, catching at least 20-25 fish over the course of the trip. Cooked up the snapper we caught. Would definitely do it again.

This was my first time skydiving and I could not have asked for a more fun experience. The instructor, Emanuel, was very helpful, laid back, and made me feel comfortable. The view from 14,000 feet was spectacular, we could see pearl harbor from where we jumped!

I considered a 1.5 or 2-hour course but ultimately participated in the 1-hour course, and I had a great time walking through the grasslands with the mountains in the background, climbing and descending the mountain trails. I think there were mostly Japanese participants, and we walked in a line as a group of about 20 horses. Some horses started eating grass or strayed from the line, but each time, the staff would call out in Japanese, saying things like "Pull the reins!" Additionally, two staff members at the front and back would come to give instructions to the horses, which made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy the horseback riding. The staff were friendly and it was a very pleasant experience.

We participated as a couple.
The tour heading towards the North Shore always includes "This Tree, What Tree" and "Dole Plantation," which can be a bit tiresome, but it's understandable since there are first-timers.
The main horseback riding experience lasts about 90 minutes, going along a mountain path with ups and downs, so it's quite fulfilling.
I've also experienced horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch, but I enjoyed this one more in terms of riding time and course.
After riding, we had an hour of free time in the town of Haleiwa, so I was able to indulge in the Huli Huli chicken from Ray's.

I really enjoyed the kayaking part of it down the river. Our tour guide was really friendly and good at describing the history of certain things around the river. However, my husband and I were really looking forward to swimming at the waterfall, but the waterfall wasn't any high one. It was a really small waterfall, almost like a grotto. We couldn't swim anywhere at all, and really wanted to swim, hoping the river leads to a stream or a high 100ft waterfall...

Even as a beginner, I was able to enjoy horseback riding. The sightseeing in North Shore on the way to the location was also very enjoyable, thanks to the guide's thorough explanations and attentive service. We visited the popular garlic shrimp wagon, the beach where the honu (sea turtles) appear, the Dole Plantation, and a coffee farm—places you must see when touring North Shore. It was a quick yet enriching tour. I want to participate again with my friends next time!

At the hotel front for the pickup, there was a high-energy guide who greeted us with "Aloha!" The sunset from the summit of Mauna Kea and the starry sky were amazing, but we were constantly laughing at the guide's delightful stories. They adjusted our cameras so we could capture the starry sky and even took photos with us. The delicious dinner, miso soup, and warm jackets were truly thoughtful touches. I would love to sign up again when I visit the Big Island. Thank you very much!

We participated as a family of five, all beginners. Our Japanese guide and driver, Masa, kept us entertained with his fun conversations and made sure we enjoyed ourselves at every stop. He casually took us to a recommended lunch spot, which was a relief in the heat, and thanks to him, we were able to enjoy our free time until the last minute. The horseback riding was at a cozy riding club run by Mark and Angel, and I was surprised that we got to ride right after a brief explanation! However, as we gradually became one with the horse, the excitement when we emerged from the dense valley into an open area was unforgettable. The only downside was that the restroom was a simple mountain toilet, which had quite an odor, but I definitely want to go back to meet the uniquely charming horses again. Thank you, Spirits!

Amazing experience!
My dad and I did this adventure. You can really appreciate the nature of the hike. It was a lot of obstaclews getting around, but there's a lot you can see that you cant see anywhere else. I got tons of misquito bites during the hike, but so worth it! Matt was our guide and was very kind and knowledgeable. The bike trail was beautiful! Was able to see the whole view of Waikiki.

Solo trip to the Big Island. 4 nights in Hilo, 4 nights in Kona. On the day before the last day of the trip, I joined a stargazing tour at Mauna Kea! There was a warning about a demonstration before departure, and I was informed that we might not be able to climb... but I believed in miracles and decided not to cancel. The demonstration was lifted five days after arriving on the Big Island, but there was an unusual snowfall the night before in July, and the gate was closed... However, the snow melted along the way, and we were able to reach the summit! The sunset from the top of Mauna Kea, with snow still remaining, was incredibly magical, and I didn't feel much cold due to the lack of wind, which was very moving. Our guide, Yo, was young but knowledgeable about many things, and he provided excellent service by sharing stories about the Big Island and Mauna Kea from start to finish, as well as taking lots of photos. During the stargazing guide, he talked about the stars using a laser pointer. I believe this is something you can only experience here. It was unfortunate that the Onizuka Visitor Center was closed, so I give it 4 stars, but when I come back to the Big Island, I would like to participate in a sunrise tour next time. Thank you!

ハワイ島1人旅。ヒロ４泊、コナ４泊。旅の最終日前日、マウナケアの星空観測ツアーに！出発前デモがあり、登れないかも…と連絡がありましたが、奇跡を信じキャンセルせず挑みました。デモはハワイ島到着５日前に解除したと事のでしたが、７月には滅多にない雪が前夜降りゲートが閉まっている…と。が、途中雪も溶け登頂出来ることに！マウナケア登頂で見る夕日は雪が残る中とても幻想的で風もなく寒さもさほど感じられずとても感動しました。ガイトのヨウ君は若いながら色々な事を知っており、最初っから最後までハワイ島の事、マウナケアの事の話や、写真を沢山撮ってくれたり、とてもよいサービスをしてくださいました。特に星空のガイドではレーザーポインターで星についてお話してくれました。これは、絶対にココでないと味わえない事だと思います。オニヅカビジターセンターは閉まっていたのが残念で★４ですが、またハワイ島に来る時は今度はサンライズのツアーに参加したいと思います。ありがとうございました！

They lent me cold weather gear like down jackets, overpants, hats, and gloves, which kept me very warm. I had a light down jacket myself, but it wasn't necessary. Since I was mostly in the car and didn't walk much, it was better to minimize my luggage. I was almost hands-free, and that was great.

This was my first time at Sunset. It seemed better than Sunrise. I was able to prepare various things while it was still bright, which gave me a sense of ease, and it wasn't too cold. I enjoyed the sunset slowly, both before and after the sun went down. Now, for the exciting starry sky. I signed up aiming for a new moon day, and even though it was just before the meteor shower, I was able to see shooting stars. The guides, Kouno and You, explained the stars very clearly. I can't remember difficult explanations anyway, but I did remember Sagittarius, Scorpius, Libra, Cygnus, and the Summer Triangle! Thank you! We will be back!

サンセット初参加。サンライズよりよかったような。明るいうちにいろいろ支度し気持ちにゆとりがあり、あまり寒くもなく。日が落ちるまでももちろん、落ちてからも夕焼けをゆっくりと満喫しました。さあお楽しみの星空。新月の日を狙って申し込み、流星群の少し前だったけど流れ星も見えたし。ガイドのコウノさんとヨウさんの星の説明がとってもわかりやすかった。難しい説明はどうせ覚えられないけど、いて座とさそり座とてんびん座、白鳥座と夏の大三角形は覚えたよ！ありがとう！We will be come back !

This was one of my highlights of my trip!

The staff works quick and efficient. They provide water up there at the activity as well which was amazing! Ice cold water bottles in coolers. Super convenient and necessary on a hot summer day in Ausguts. The staff added to our enjoyment and fun as well! They took as many pictures as we wanted and answered all of our questions. They shared their experience living in Maui Hawaii and their experience of working on the field and their travels, so super friendly. Zip lining was amazing. We did it as the sun set. So we got to dry up from the Aqua ball and Zipline across the field. They told us how to turn over and let loose. It was different then all my experiences where I just went across the rope holding on traditionally. The staff moved fast and I felt safe and secure with them as I landed on the landing board. If you ever went zip lining before, you want someone strong and secure to catch you. We got to do this Zipline 4 times each! I had my friend stand in the field and get amazing pics from so close. After we were done we changed and saw the sun setting on their field. We wanted to see the sun from a higher vantage point so we asked them where to go. They told us to just drive up the road.

We had just enough time to drive right up the road after and continued watching one of the most beautiful and serene sunset.

All in all this was one of my highlights of my trip! I will never forget it!! I would definitely recommend this to all my friends or anyone reading this review.

Paradise Eco-Adventures - Lahaina Zipline Tour, Aquaball Ride & Fruit Tasting

I booked the 430 appointment so I had a relaxing day in the morning and plenty of time to get to the plantation without being rushed. I called them and they gave me great driving directions to my phone via text which was extremely helpful. So the drive up and the plantation was beautiful. We got to see another side of Maui then where were staying at. We were welcomed in when we came by the owner of the field. Then we went up to a little cottage and we got to taste many different kinds of delicious home grown dragon fruit and we were offered cold drinks by the staff. The staff there were so sweet and helpful and accommodating! They have bathrooms and showers to change! Jennifer took us thru the fields while our belongings were taken up in a golf cart. On our way up Jennifer explained to us how they grow the dragon fruit. It was fascinating to learn how much work is involved and to hear it from her who does the work first hand . It was really interesting and informative. In addition there are bananas and pineapple to see. The Aqua ball was so fun! I'm always looking for new and adventurous activities to try and this was something I've never done. It is a huge blown up ball with an opening for a person to jump inside! It cooled us down and we had so much fun! You get in one person a time and they fill the ball up with cold water. You are then securely closed and are pushed down the hill. I was with some friends so we had fun pushing each other down. The staff waits for you at the bottom, takes you out safely and you get a gold ride back up the hill to complete the Aqua ball activity again.

We participated as a group of five: three adults and two children (ages 10 and 13). There were also four American family members, making a total of nine people in the group. The young woman who checked us in at the meeting point drove a 4WD to the stable at the bottom of the valley, and she led us on horseback. A young man followed behind us. My horse was very well-behaved and hardly needed any reins, but my sister's and niece's horses tended to stray from the line to eat grass or started running a bit, which required some attention in the beginning. However, the young man behind us quickly helped, so there was no need to worry. For a full two hours, we were healed by the vibrant green of the valley and the sound of hooves, and everyone was very satisfied with the activity.

My Son, Daughter and Myself had a great time, our guides were funny, helpful and very personable. What can you say about finishing the day with a 3,350' run that lasts over a minute, WHOW! This is our second Hawaii Zip Line and I would recommend it as a bucket list for everyone.

The zip line tour was excellent. Our three kids ages 19,16,13 absolutely loved it. Our drive up to base camp was very entertaining, because our guide made us laugh so much. Then our zip line crew were also great. They told jokes, gave history of Hawaii and Koaloa Ranch and the natural habitat surrounding the area. The zip lining was so much fun we would definitely, without a doubt, do this tour again.

I drove from Waikiki to the North Shore (Haleiwa) to see wild sea turtles and experienced horseback riding at Turtle Bay. It was my first time, but the horse walked calmly in the direction of the reins. Riding along the beach with the refreshing sea breeze was the best.

My wife and I rode together. There was also a family of foreigners with us, including a child around elementary school age. This course doesn't involve much running, so it's fine for beginners. This is my third time, and it has become a staple whenever I come to Hawaii. They let you run quite a bit through the ranch. Although I consider myself an intermediate rider, I have only ridden about seven or eight times abroad, but they still let me ride. However, since you run in some narrow areas, I wouldn't recommend it unless you are comfortable with horseback riding. You actually have to avoid branches that might hit your head while galloping, which can be dangerous, but those who are confident can enjoy it. Helmets are self-reported, so there's no need to wear one if you don't want to (you sign a waiver and take responsibility). Initially, I rode with my wife, but she said it was scary and doesn't want to ride again.

牧場の中をかなり走らせてくれます。上級者となっていますが私は海外での乗馬経験が７、8回位ですが乗らせてくれます。ただし、狭いところも結構走るので乗馬に余裕がある人でないとお勧めしません。実際に駆け足の途中で頭に当たりそうな木の枝を避けたりしないといけないので危ないですが、自信のある人だと楽しめます。
ヘルメットも自己申告制ですので無理にかぶる必要もありません。（サインして自己責任です）
実際に一番最初は嫁さんと2人で乗りましたが、怖かったのでもう乗らないと言っています。

The guide's horse walked in front and behind us, and we rode in almost a straight line. We were the only Japanese participants. I couldn't catch all the English explanations, but it was fine because they were accompanied by gestures. The sound of the hooves, the babbling of the river, and the sound of the wind were very soothing. It was also fun to see the horses eating grass by the roadside and drinking water from the river. It was my first experience. My wife waited at the condo while I participated alone. As others have mentioned, the only scary part was jumping out of the Cessna (I think it would have taken me longer to jump out if I were alone), but after that, it was exhilarating!! It was a wonderful experience. However, I spent the entire previous day preparing for it, but it was canceled due to bad weather. On this day, I went to the North Shore at 5 AM (which meant getting up at 4 AM), and although I was able to jump right away, I ended up waiting quite a bit afterwards. Since it's a dangerous sport involving nature, I suppose it's unavoidable, but it's important to approach it with plenty of time to spare.

初めての体験でした。嫁さんはコンドで待ち。僕一人で参加しました。他の人も書いている通り、怖かったのはセスナを飛び出す時だけで（自分独りだったら飛び出すのに時間がかかったと思います）、後は快感でした！！素晴らしい体験でした。ただ、僕は前日丸一日を要して挑んだのですが、天候が悪くキャンセル。この日も朝の5時から（そのため4時起き）ノースショアに行き、飛ぶのはすぐだったのですが、その後がかなり待たされました。自然相手の危険なスポーツなので仕方ないのでしょうが、時間の余裕を持って挑む必要があります。
