I thought manta rays were something to see at an aquarium (laughs), so I was really looking forward to this tour. Since it was a meet-up plan, I drove there with a rental car, but the meeting spot in the large harbor was a bit hard to find. It's best to allow a little extra time♪

The other participants were from overseas (maybe America?), and our guide, a very cute and cheerful girl named Ari, guided us in perfect Japanese as we traveled by boat for about 20 minutes to the point. It felt amazing; even though it was a small boat, the sensation of cutting through the wind and racing across the evening sea was the best. We encountered wild dolphins along the way, and they even stopped the boat for a bit, allowing us to see them up close. It seemed like the dolphins were coming over to us!

When we arrived at the manta point, we held onto a board with blue lights to watch the mantas. I was shocked to see them so close! I observed their large mouths, round eyes, and even the tips of their tails. It felt like they were dancing around, which was a strange sensation. I had imagined it would be more like just seeing them glide by, so it was quite a surprise.

Of course, since it was nighttime on the way back and my wetsuit was wet, please make sure to bring a bath towel and a windbreaker. The starry sky we saw on the way back was a breathtaking view with the majestic mountains over the sea.

マンタは水族館で見るものだと思っていたので(笑)、このツアーを知って楽しみにしていました。
現地集合プランだったので、レンタカーで行きましたが広いハーバー内、集合場所はちょっと分かりにくかったです。少し時間に余裕をもって♪
他の参加者の方は海外の方たち（アメリカかな？）でしたが、とってもかわいくて明るいガイドのアリちゃんに、ばっちり日本語でガイドしてもらいながら20分ほど船でポイントまで行きます。これがとっても気持ち良くて、小さい船ですが風を切って夕方の海を疾走する感覚は最高でした。途中で野生のイルカにも遭遇して、少し船を止めてくれたのですごく近くで見ることができたし、イルカの方も寄ってきてくれてるようでした！
マンタポイントに着いて、ブルーライトの付いたボードにつかまってマンタを見るのですが、『えっ！こんなに近くで見れるの？！マンタってこんな姿をしてるんだ！』って、大きな口やつぶらな目、しっぽの先までマンタを隅々まで観察できました。くるくるとダンスをしてくれてるようでもあり、不思議な感覚でした。『すーっと通りすぎるのを見る』みたいなイメージだったので、びっくりしました。
さすがに、帰りは夜ですしウェットスーツも濡れてるのでバスタオルやウインドブレーカーをちゃんと持っていって下さいね。帰りに見た星空も、海の上で雄大な山々と共にのぞむ絶景でしたよ。

Fun few hours kayaking and snorkeling with Natasha and Sho. Our guides looked after us and had good knowledge of the area. We even managed to see dolphins on our way back to shore which was an added bonus.

I went to the Big Island for my honeymoon! After participating, I learned that if you post about it, you can get one person free, so I joined the local plan.

★ Access
I stayed at the Sheraton Kona Resort, and it cost $40 (one way) by taxi from the hotel to the location. Even considering the tip, it was a good deal. For the return trip, I was told that there are no taxis waiting, so I asked the hotel staff to help me and made a round-trip reservation.

The return time was about an hour earlier than what was listed on the voucher. At the meeting point, the taxi driver and the guide spoke directly, so I didn't have to wait outside.

The meeting place took some time to reach, as the taxi driver was unsure even after I showed him pictures and maps. I recommend acting early.

★ Tour Content
The guide was very cheerful and spoke fluent Japanese!

The boat ride to the manta ray swimming point was quite fast and fun. Thanks to taking motion sickness medication after seeing other people's posts, I didn't get seasick. The sunset we saw along the way was also very beautiful!

When swimming with the manta rays, there were no life jackets, so as someone who can't swim at all, I was quite worried. However, I just had to hold onto the rope attached to the board and float, so I was able to enjoy it too. No worries!

I was able to see manta rays up close, and it was a very satisfying tour. Several manta rays came right in front of me multiple times, close enough to touch (though I didn't touch them).

By November, it gets cold on the way there (even colder on the way back), so I think it's better to bring a larger towel or something to wear.

参加後、投稿記載で1人分無料との事なので、現地集合プランで参加しました＾＾

★アクセス
シェラトンコナリゾートに宿泊したのですが、
ホテルから現地迄はタクシーで40＄（片道）でした。
チップを考慮してもお得でした。
復路も頼んでおかないと、長しのタクシーは居ないとの事だったので、
ホテルの方にお願いをし、往復で予約。

バーチャーで記載して頂いた時間より1時間程早かったです。
集合時、タクシーの運転手さんとガイドの方が直接話して下さったので、外で待たされることは無かったです＾＾

集合場所は、タクシーの運転手さんに写真やマップを見せても悩んでいて、
到着迄は時間がかかりました。
早めの行動をおすすめします。

★ツアー内容
ガイドさんはとても明るく、日本語もペラペラでした♪

マンタと泳ぐポイント迄の船は、かなり猛スピードで楽しかったです。笑
他の方の投稿を見て酔い止めを飲んでおいたおかげか、船酔いはなかったです＾＾
途中で見た夕日もとてもきれいでした！！

マンタと泳ぐ際は、ライフジャケットもなかったので、
1ミリも泳げない私はとても心配でしたが、
ボードについているロープをつかんで浮いていれば良いだけだったので、
私でも楽しめました＾＾
心配無しです♪

目の前でマンタも見れ、とても大満足なツアーでした。
何匹ものマンタが何度も目の前に来てくれ、
触れるほどの距離です！（触れませんが＾＾）

11月ともなると行きから（帰りはもっと）寒いので、
大きめのタオルや羽織るもの等を持って行った方がよいと思います＾＾

We headed to the meeting place at Honokohau Harbor from Waikoloa by rental car, but there was a long traffic jam heading towards Kailua about 3 kilometers before Kona Airport, so it's better for those using a rental car to leave their accommodations early.

The meeting spot is a bit hard to find, but if you follow keywords like the large parking lot on the north side of the harbor (partly gravel), the big public restroom in the middle, and the building with a yellow fence and blue roof (which is easier to identify as a shed), you should be fine.

The boat can be quite bumpy, jumping on the waves, so if you are prone to seasickness, it's definitely advisable to take motion sickness medication that you bought in Japan. The boat will anchor at the manta ray viewing point, but the slight swaying here can also trigger seasickness.

The Japanese-speaking guide, Ali, is very friendly and cute. She explained the manta rays clearly for first-time participants. You hold onto a surfboard to keep your body horizontal and wait for the manta rays to come. That day, manta rays gathered one after another to feed, and we were able to see them doing flips right in front of us. It felt like they were looking at us with their big eyes, which was quite thrilling. The largest female manta ray is said to be over 4 meters long. I had an incredible and unforgettable experience, and I'm very excited. Mahalo.

集合場所のホノコハウハーバーへはワイコロアからレンタカーで向かいましたが、コナ空港手前3キロ位からカイルア方面に向って長い渋滞が起きていたのでレンタカーを利用して行く人は早めに宿を出た方が良いです。
待ち合わせ場所はちょっと分かりにくいけど、ハーバー北側の広い駐車場（一部砂利）、真ん中にある大きい公衆トイレ、黄色いフェンスと青い屋根の建物（小屋と行った方が分かりやすい）といったキーワードを辿って行けば大丈夫です。
ボートは結構激しく海面をジャンプしたりして揺れるので船酔いしやすい人は絶対に日本で買った酔い止めの薬を飲んだ方が良いです。マンタを見るポイントでボートを停泊しますが、ここでの微妙な横揺れも船酔いを誘発させます。
日本語を話すガイドのアリちゃんはとってもフレンドリーでキュートです。初めての参加の人にも分かりやすくマンタの説明をしてくれました。サーフボードにつかまって体を水平に保ちマンタが来るのを待ちます。この日は次から次へとマンタが餌を食べに集まり、目の前でくるんくるんと宙返りをする姿が直ぐ近くで見る事が出来ました。大きな目玉でギョロッとこちらを見ているような気がしてドキッとします。一番大きな雌のマンタは4メートル以上あるそうです。信じられないような未知なる体験をさせていただき大変興奮しています。Mahalo

We participated in the flight at 7 AM on November 16th! We were the only Japanese participants, which made us quite anxious, but the pilot, TOSHI, who appeared was a very cheerful and wonderful Japanese person. With 20 years of experience, he was also very good at communicating. He explained things clearly to the foreign passengers, mixing Japanese and English.

The weather that day was perfect! We could see the lava from Kilauea and the lava from the Ocean Approach clearly. More than that, the breathtaking scenery of Waipi'o Valley, which can only be seen by helicopter, left us speechless. The world’s 13th tallest waterfall was flowing beautifully. According to TOSHI, it had rained the day before, and since it was the first flight of the morning, there was a lot of water flowing. He mentioned that by around noon, the water would hardly be flowing, so I recommend an early flight for those who will participate in the future.

As for the flight itself, there was nothing to complain about, but one disappointing aspect was the hotel pickup. We were scheduled to be picked up at 5:55 AM and waited five minutes early to avoid being late, but the car actually arrived after 6:10 AM. The voucher stated to contact them if the pickup did not arrive after 15 minutes, so when I tried to get the front desk to help, the car arrived just then. It was disappointing to have woken up early for this. The pickup staff did not speak Japanese, so I couldn't voice any complaints.

Meeting TOSHI, who shares the same last name, made for an unforgettable day for us. Thank you!

１１月１６日の朝７時のフライトに２人で参加しました！
日本人の参加者は私たち夫婦だけで、かなり不安でしたが、登場してきたパイロットのTOSHIさんがとーっても明るくて素敵な日本人でした。２０年のベテランでとーってもお話上手。
一緒に搭乗した外人さんにもわかりやすく、日本語と英語を交えて説明してくれました。

この日の天候は最高！キラウエアの溶岩も、オーシャンアプローチの溶岩もしっかり見えました。それよりもワイピオ渓谷では、ヘリコプターでしか見れない壮大な景観、言葉が出ないぐらい感動してしまいました。世界で１３番目に高い滝は、しっかり水が落ちていました。TOSHIさんの話では、前日に雨が降り、朝１番でのフライトだからたくさん水が落ちている、とのこと。昼ぐらいには水はほとんど落ちないでしょう、ということなので、これから参加する方は早い時間のフライトをお勧めします。

フライトに関しては、何の申し分もないぐらいですが、１つ残念だったのが、ホテルの送迎に関して。
５時５５分のお迎え予定で、遅れないようにと５分前には待っていましたが、実際に車が来たのは６時１０分過ぎ。１５分過ぎて迎えが来ない場合は連絡をください、とバウチャーに書いてあったので、連絡しようとフロントに動いてもらったら、車が来るというタイミング。頑張って朝早く起きたことを残念に思ったスタートでした。お迎えのスタッフは日本語ができない人たちなので、文句は何も言えませんでした。

同じ苗字のTOSHIさんとの出会いは、私達夫婦にとって、忘れられない１日になりました。

Fortunately, according to the guide, we saw the most dolphins recently. We were able to see dozens of dolphins and even swim alongside them. The experienced guide would find the dolphins and maneuver the boat to the best spots for encounters, and participants would jump into the sea as instructed. The guide was also very kind, making it enjoyable even for those who were alone.

運良くですがガイドさん曰く最近では一番よくかつ多くのイルカを見られました。何十頭ものイルカを見られ、並んで泳ぐこともできました。熟練のガイドさんでイルカを見つけては一番遭遇できる場所まで小回りの効く船で先回りして、参加者は指示どおり海に飛び込むという感じです。ガイドさんもとても親切で一人でも楽しめました。

Swimming with manta rays in the night sea was one of the things I wanted to do on the Big Island of Hawaii. My husband, who is terrified of swimming and entering the ocean at night, surprisingly enjoyed it as well.

First, we boarded a small boat and headed out to sea. The thrill of the speed was exhilarating! The sunset viewed from the boat was breathtaking. When the sun had completely set and it was dark, we arrived at the observation spot. We all held onto the board and floated while waiting for the manta rays. Although I said we were waiting, the rays were quickly attracted to the light beneath the board and came right up to us. I was so excited to see a manta ray glide just below my belly! The manta rays dancing gracefully in the night sea were truly mystical. I was able to take some great photos of them, and I was very satisfied!

However, as others have mentioned, it can be quite nauseating. The gentle rocking of the board was tougher than seasickness. Even my husband and I, who love thrilling rides, felt a bit queasy. It’s definitely a good idea to take motion sickness medication for peace of mind. A girl in our group looked pretty miserable from the nausea.

On the way back, we enjoyed the starry sky and felt the grandeur of the Big Island. If you’re considering participating in this activity, you absolutely should!

夜の海でマンタと泳ぐ‼私がハワイ島でやりたいことの１つでした。
ただ、泳げなく夜の海に入る事を異常に怖がる旦那。でも、そんな彼でも充分に楽しめたようです。
まず、小さなボートに乗って沖へ出ます。スピード感がスリリング‼ボートから見る夕陽は絶景です。
陽も沈みすっかり暗くなった頃に、観測スポットに到着。みんなでボードに掴まり、プカプカと浮きながらマンタを待ちます。待つと書きましたが、ボードの下の光に引き寄せられ、すぐにマンタが寄ってきます。自分のお腹下スレスレを通るマンタに大興奮♪夜の海で、ゆったりと優雅に舞うマンタは神秘的です。マンタの写真もバッチリ撮れて、大満足!!!
ただし、他の参加者の方も書かれているように、けっこう酔います。船酔いよりも、ボードのゆったりとした揺れがキツかった。絶叫系アトラクションが大好きな私たち夫妻でも、酔いました。酔い止めは飲んだほうが、安心です。一緒のグループだった女の子は、酔ってしまいかなり辛そうでした。
帰りのボートでは、星空が楽しめ、ハワイ島の雄大さを感じられます。
アクティビティに参加するか迷っている方は、絶対にやるべきです！

We stayed on Oahu and the Big Island for our honeymoon, and it became the best memory of all. First of all, the clarity of the ocean is just amazing. A pod of dolphins swims gracefully through the water, filling the air with their adorable sounds. I was completely healed by the sight of a baby dolphin jumping while wagging its tail! It seems like there are manta ray tours at night as well, so I want to participate in both next time.

ハネムーンでオアフ島、ハワイ島と滞在しましたが、全てにおいて1番の思い出になりました。
まず、なんといっても海の透明度。
そのなかを優雅に泳ぐイルカの群れ。
たくさんの可愛らしい鳴き声。
赤ちゃんイルカがしっぽをフリフリしながらジャンプするしぐさに、癒されまくりました！夜はマンタツアーもやってるみたいなので、次は両方参加したいなぁ。

It was my first time participating. A trainer was assigned to each group, and they provided kind and thorough guidance, making it a very valuable experience. The dolphins were also adorable. I definitely want to participate again.

初めての参加でした。ワングループ一人？にトレーナーが付いて親切丁寧に指導してくださり、とても貴重な時間でした。イルカもかわいかった。また是非参加したいです。

First of all, I was impressed by the transparent and beautiful blue sea. Lucky for us, just as we left the port, we discovered a pod of dolphins swimming with their dorsal fins out of the water. We even spotted some dolphins jumping. I was able to enter the water about four times, aiming for the route the dolphins were taking. The wetsuit keeps you afloat without any effort, but if you're feeling anxious, it's a good idea to use a floatation device. I think we borrowed floatation devices for about three people this time.

During the first time in the water, I wasn't quite used to the sea yet, so I was a bit slow to put my face in the water, and I barely managed to see the dolphins swimming far away. The second time, as soon as I got in the water and put my face down, I was able to see a mother and baby dolphin swimming slowly right below me. I could also hear their cute squeaking sounds. After that, I got more comfortable in the water and was able to enjoy the sunlight filtering through the water and the sight of many dolphins swimming around me.

At the end, Daisuke, who was driving the boat, insisted that he wanted to get in the water! He switched places with Jesse and jumped in, swimming like a dolphin. I couldn't help but wonder if Daisuke was actually a dolphin (laughs).

Jesse, who also provided transportation, didn't look Japanese at all, but he spoke Japanese very well, and I was able to hear a lot of stories beyond just dolphins, which made it really enjoyable. Thank you very much!

まず最初、透明で美しい青い海に感動しました。
ラッキーなことに港を出てすぐに、背びれを出して泳いでいるイルカの群れを発見しました。
そのうちジャンプするイルカも発見。
イルカが進行してくるルートをねらって、4回ほど海に入らせてもらえました。
ウェットスーツは何もしなくても浮くのですが、不安な人は遠慮なく浮き具をもらうといいです。
今回は3人ほど浮き具を貸してもらっていたと思います。
1回目はちょっとまだ海に慣れてなかったので、顔を水に付けるタイミングが遅れて、遠くに泳いでいるイルカをなんとか見れたという感じでした。
2回目は、海に入ってすぐ顔をつけると、真下をゆっくり泳いでいく親子のイルカを見られました。
キューキューというかわいい声も聞けました。
それ以降は水に慣れてきて、海中を差し込む太陽光とたくさんのイルカの泳ぐ姿を余裕をもって見ることができました。
最後は船を運転していたダイスケさんが、どうしても海に入りたい！と言って、ジェシーさんに運転をチェンジして、海に入るとイルカみたいに泳いでました。
ダイスケさんはイルカなのかな？と思ってしまいました(笑)

送迎もしてくださったジェシーさんは全く日本人には見えませんが、日本語が大変上手くてイルカ以外の話もたくさん聞くことができ、とても楽しかったです。

I thought the guide would be Japanese since they spoke Japanese, but they were actually from an English-speaking country. Haha! Of course, their Japanese was excellent, so it wasn't a problem.

When floating on the surface of the water, it's truly moving to see the manta rays swimming right beside you!

However, while traveling it was fine, but the boat during our stay really made me feel seasick... I took motion sickness medication, but I was still in a pretty groggy state.

Also, the light snacks were basically chocolate bars, haha!

日本語を話せるガイドさんということで、てっきり日本人かと思っていたら、普通に英語圏の方でした。笑
勿論、日本語お上手だったので問題はありませんでした。

海面に浮かんでいると、マンタが本当に身体すれすれを泳いでいくので感動します！

ただ、移動中は大丈夫ですが、泊まっている間の船は本当に酔います……。酔い止め飲んで臨みましたが、普通にグロッキー状態でした。

あと、軽食=おやつ=チョコレートバー的なやつでしたwww

Unfortunately, I couldn't meet any sea turtles, but I was taken to a very beautiful sea. I had a happy time surrounded by colorful fish. The lunch was also very delicious, and I was able to fully enjoy it. The dive from the boat was exciting and left a lasting impression.

残念ながらウミガメには会えませんでしたが、とてもきれいな海につれていってくれます。
色とりどりの魚たちにかこまれて幸せな時間でした。
ランチもとてもおいしく、満喫することができました。
船からのダイブもエキサイティングで印象に残りました。

It was amazing. The manta rays were so close that I could touch them while they were feeding. I was so excited that my adrenaline was pumping and I almost had trouble breathing.

凄いです。マンタさんが触れるぐらい近くで捕食に夢中。アドレナリン出まくりで呼吸困難になるぐらい興奮しました。

A manta ray approached so closely that it almost bumped into me, and it was incredibly impressive. I could see its belly and large mouth right in front of me, which was moving. Small fish also gathered around, and it felt like I could catch them, which made me very satisfied.

目の前ぶつかるくらいにマンタが迫り、迫力満点でした。おなかや大きい口の中まで目の前で見えて、感動しました。小魚も寄ってきて、つかみ取り出来そうで大変満足しました。

We had an amazing time, this was our favorite excursion while in Hawaii this trip. Next time that we visit it will be a do over! The snorkeling was great and the crew was super! If you are looking for a great outing I would encourage you to go out and spend a day with these guys and enjoy snorkeling

On our second visit to the Big Island on October 17, we decided to challenge ourselves with manta watching. We were a bit anxious at the start since our beautiful driver couldn't speak Japanese, but it turned out to be lucky as we were the only two Japanese participants on the tour, allowing us to have the shuttle and our guide, Tori, all to ourselves. The boat ride to our destination off the coast of Kona was thrilling, comparable to a ride at an amusement park, and we all cheered while enjoying the fun journey, plus we got to admire a beautiful sunset. On the way back, we also enjoyed a starry sky, so we never had a dull moment during the trip. During the main event, it was an incredible day as manta rays continuously swirled beneath me with their mouths wide open, making me gasp in awe. I was amazed by how many times the mantas brushed against the bar I was holding onto, yet I felt no fear at all. I think this might be my last chance to visit the Big Island, but I had a truly moving experience and created wonderful memories. Thank you to all the staff.

10/17　2度目のビッグアイランド訪問でやり残していたマンタウォッチに夫婦でチャレンジしました。迎えの美人ドライバーが日本語しゃべれないのでちょっと不安なスタートでしたが、当日のツアーは日本人の参加者が私たち二人だけでしたので送迎車も日本人ガイドのトリさんも独占状態でラッキーでした。コナ空港沖の目的地までのボート移動もライド系アトラクション並の衝撃とスリルでみんなで歓声を上げながら楽しい移動を体験でき、おまけに綺麗な夕日が鑑賞できました。帰路も満天の星空鑑賞付でしたので移動も暇をもてあそぶことはありませんでした。本番も、大当たりの日で私の下をひっきりなしにマンタが大きな口を開けて旋回し続け、声にならないうめき声をあげつつけていました。つかまっているバーの手に何度もマンタが触れてくるという接近戦に感動しつつも恐怖心は全くありませんでした。ビッグアイランドに来れるのも最後かと思いますが最後に感動的な経験をできいい思い出ができました。スタッフのみなさんありがとう。

The staff were very knowledgeable about the dolphins and spoke Japanese very well. They explained how to behave to see the dolphins better, and I was able to see many of them. Additionally, they frequently checked in with everyone to see if we were able to see the dolphins and if we were enjoying ourselves. Even for someone like me who isn't a strong swimmer, I felt safe and had a great time. I highly recommend it.

スタッフの方がイルカのことをよく知り、また日本語がとても上手で、どのように行動すればイルカがよく見れるか説明してくれ、たくさん見れました。
さらにイルカがみれたか、楽しんでいるか、皆にこまめに声をかけてくれ、泳ぎが苦手な私でも、安心して楽しめました。

We used this service for our honeymoon (﹡ˆˆ﹡). First of all, as others have mentioned, I had trouble finding the meeting point; I'm glad I planned to arrive a bit early. Once we arrived, we changed into half-pants wetsuits and boarded the boat for departure! The boat ride was thrilling, comparable to a roller coaster, and the 15 minutes until we reached the snorkeling area were a blast! (It might have helped that I took motion sickness medication beforehand...)

On the boat, our cute guide "Ali-chan," who spoke Japanese well, explained interesting facts about manta rays! This made me even more excited about seeing them!

Once the sun set, we began snorkeling. We all held onto a board with a rope while snorkeling. My husband can't swim, but he had no problems snorkeling at all!! (He was very happy about this ^^)

As for the mantas, we saw them five times that day☆ I was really happy to see them five times, but according to Ali-chan, that was fewer than usual... After swimming, we returned to the harbor while sipping warm cocoa. The starry sky was beautiful!!!

If I have the chance to go to the Big Island again, I would love to participate again!!

新婚旅行で利用させていただきました(﹡ˆˆ﹡)
まず、ほかの方が書いているように集合場所が見つけられず迷ってしまいました;;少し早めに着くつもりで行動しておいてよかったなと思いました。
着いたら、半ズボンタイプのウェットスーツに着替えて、ボートに乗って出発です！このボートが、ジェットコースター並にスリリングで、シュノーケリングエリアに着くまでの15分ぐらい終始楽しかったです！(事前に酔い止めを飲んでいたからよかったのかもしれませんが･･･)
船の上では、可愛くて日本語も上手なガイドの「アリちゃん」が、マンタに関する知識を解説してくれました！これで、余計にマンタに対する楽しみな気持ちが高まりました！
日が沈んだら、シュノーケリングの開始です。
みんなでロープのついたボードにつかまってシュノーケリングをします。ですので、私の旦那は泳げませんが、何の問題もなくシュノーケリングできました！！(本人はこれにとても喜んでました^^)
そして肝心のマンタですが、この日は5回マンタが見れました☆私としては、5回も見れてとても嬉しかったですが、アリちゃんによるといつもよりも少ないそうです･･･
泳ぎ終わったら、あったかいココアを飲みながら帰港しました。星空がとても綺麗でした！！！
また、ハワイ島に行くことがあれば、参加したいです！！

Had a great time! The crew (Bill and Sam) were so friendly and informative. We really enjoyed the tour of the coastline we were given between sites and all local history tidbits along the way. The captain was always certain to take us to a spot with calm waters and good visibility. Saw so many green sea turtles. Highly recommend Sea quest.

I heard that the meeting place was difficult to find, but a very kind taxi driver helped us and we arrived safely.

The sunset we saw while bouncing on the boat to the manta ray viewing point was incredibly beautiful. However, it was bouncing so much that it was hard to take pictures (laughs).

As soon as I jumped into the sea, a manta ray came right to us. Two manta rays seemed to be playing with us, gracefully approaching and flipping over. They were so close that I felt like I could touch them (but you shouldn't touch them). I kept shouting, "Wow, so cute!" for a long time. They stayed close for quite a while, so I was able to see their faces, mouths, bellies (undersides), and tails clearly. I was a bit worried they might be scary, but the manta rays were adorable, beautiful, elegant, and cute. I was very satisfied.

As a second-time snorkeler, I ended up feeling seasick afterward and had to return to the boat a little earlier than everyone else. Maybe it was the garlic shrimp I ate for lunch that didn't sit well... (laughs). I'm sorry to the Japanese guide, Tori-chan, for the trouble.

On the other hand, my friend who went with me was super energetic and took tons of pictures.

On the way back, the left side of the boat had a sparkling night view, while the right side was filled with stars. It was fulfilling until the very end. I had a great time and highly recommend it.

集合場所がむずかしいとの事でしたが、とても親切なタクシードライバーさんが
探してくださって無事到着。

マンタが見れるポイントまでのピョンピョン跳ねるボートの上で見たサンセット、とても美しかったです。でも跳ね過ぎて写真を撮るのはたいへん(笑)

海にドボンと飛び込んだらすぐマンタが来てくれました。
2匹のマンタがまるで私たちと遊んでいるかのようにひらりくるりと近づいたり裏返ったり。
近すぎてさわっちゃいそう～（さわっちゃダメです）
「うわ～かわいぃ～かわいぃ～」とずーっと叫んでました。
結構長く近くにいてくれたので顔や、口の中や、お腹（裏側）や、しっぽもしっかり見る事ができました。
ちょっとコワいのかなと心配していましたが、マンタは愛らしく、美しく、優雅でかわいかったです。大満足です。

シュノーケル２回目の私はその後波酔いしてしまい、みなさんよりほんの少しだけ早くボートに戻してもらいました。ランチでいっぱい食べたガーリックシュリンプがダメだったのか…(笑)
日本人ガイドのトリちゃんにはお世話になってしまいスミマセンでした。

一方、一緒に行った友人は超元気で写真を撮りまくってました。

帰りのボートは左手はキラッキラの夜景、右手はたっくさんの星。
最後まで充実。
楽しかったです。おすすめです。

I arrived on the Big Island and was a bit nervous about diving into the night sea while still suffering from jet lag, but the small boat ride to the manta spot felt like a roller coaster, which completely shook off my drowsiness! By the time we arrived, my fear had vanished, and the moment I entered the water, a fantastical world of fish and mantas spread out beneath me. I recommend putting your smartphone in a waterproof bag and hanging it around your neck to capture great videos even without a waterproof camera. The sunset on the way there and the starry sky on the way back were so beautiful that they were satisfying on their own! I felt reassured as Torichan was always checking on us. Thank you very much.

ハワイ島に到着し時差ボケのまま夜の海にダイブということで少しドキドキしていたのですが、マンタスポットに行くまでの小型船がジェットコースターのようで、眠気も吹っ飛びました！つく頃には恐怖心もなくなり、海に入った瞬間から下には魚とマンタの幻想的な世界が広がっています♪スマホを防水の袋に入れて首から下げて動画にすると防水カメラがなくてもバッチリ撮れるので準備をお勧めします。行きのサンセットも帰りのプラネタリウムのような星空もそれだけで満足するぐらいきれいです！ずっとトリちゃんが私たちの状態を気遣ってくださるので安心できました。ありがとうございました。

We participated with our elementary school-aged children. My wife and kids were a bit unsure about snorkeling in the open ocean for the first time, but thanks to our Japanese guide Daisuke, the whole family was able to enjoy it. We are very grateful. Although there were no prescription masks for the kids, we were still able to see dolphins without glasses (they were that close). When I asked the kids about their favorite memory in Hawaii, they said it was meeting the dolphins on this tour. We would love to use this service again if we have the opportunity.

小学校の低学年、高学年を連れての参加。妻と子供達は、外洋での初めてのシュノーケルに自信がなかったようですが、日本語ガイドのダイスケさんのおかげで、家族全員が楽しむことができました。感謝しています。子供用の度付きマスクの準備はありませんが、裸眼でもイルカを見ることができました（それだけイルカたちとの距離が近い）。子供達にハワイで一番楽しかった想い出を聞くと、このツアーでイルカと会えたことだそうです。また機会があれば利用したいと思います。

Such a generous tourguide, that Roy! Shared countless stories with us, snorkeled and showed us his favorite spots, brought us great treats, and most importantly treated us to a marvelous afternoon of kayaking and snorkeling at this remote spot of Hawaii. Don't hesitate to book the trip. A lasting memory and educational experience!

The staff were really nice.
First, we rode on a boat that felt like a roller coaster and went to the sea in front of the Sheraton Hotel.
It was so much fun riding the fast boat while watching the sunset!
Once we reached the spot, we grabbed onto a surfboard with lights underneath and waited for the manta rays while looking at the fish below.
Seeing the manta rays in person was impressive—huge, close, and mysterious!

The sea temperature where we went is said to be the warmest throughout the year, so I didn't feel too cold at first.
However, snorkeling while staying still for a long time, even in such warm water, became quite chilly. Lying face down with my back and heels exposed made it very cold.

It felt like about 30 minutes?

Honestly, it felt long. After getting back on land, I was incredibly seasick and ended up vomiting into the sea, haha.
I've snorkeled many times before, but this was my first time feeling that way.
Another fish came by, which was fun to see, haha.

However, I noticed other tour guests were feeling the same way, so I thought some kind of motion sickness remedy might be necessary.

Staying still for such a long time while looking down at the fish became painful as time passed, especially with the cold.

I would appreciate it if there could be some time to lift our heads and move around, or take a break on the board to avoid staying still for too long.

We saw plenty of manta rays and fish, and the night sea was mysterious and very beautiful! The staff were also really great! I learned some fun facts about manta rays, which made me like them even more.

I think it would be an outstanding tour if there were just some measures for motion sickness!

スタッフの方がすごく良い方でした。
まず、ジェットコースターのようなボートに乗って、シェラトンホテルの前の海に行きます。
夕日を見ながら、勢いの良いボートに乗るのはとっても楽しかったです！！
ポイントについたら、下にライトのついたサーフボートに捕まってうつ伏せのような形で下の魚を見ながらマンタを待ちます。
マンタは実際見てみると、でかい！近い！ミステリアス！迫力ありました。

私たちが行った海の気温は年間通して一番暖かいと言われていて、最初はそこまで寒さを感じませんでした。
ただ、ずっと動かないで待機した状態でのシュノーケルは、そんな暖かい海でもさすがにかなり冷えてきます。うつ伏せになっていて、背中やかかとは出ている状態なので、とても寒い。

体感時間30分くらい？

正直、長い。と思いました。
陸に上がった後、尋常じゃないくらいに酔って、海に向かって思いっきり嘔吐　笑
シュノーケルは何度もやったことありますが、初めて。
また別の魚が寄ってきて観れたので、それはそれで楽しかったです　笑

ただ、他のツアーのお客様もそのようになっていたので、少し酔い対策見たいなものは必要かな？と思いました。

じっとしているのがとにかく長く、魚を下を向いて見ているのが時間が経つごとに寒さとともに苦痛になってくる。

なので、顔を上げて動く時間や、一回休憩を挟んでボードで休むなど、じっとしたままじゃな時間を作ってほしいです。

マンタも魚もたくさん見れて、夜の海はミステリアスでとても綺麗！スタッフさんもとっても良い！マンタのプチ知識なども知れて、マンタがより好きになりました☆

酔い対策さえあれば抜群のツアーだと思いました♪

On October 17, 2016, I participated in a helicopter tour of the Big Island starting at 8:20 AM. It was my first time on a helicopter, so I was both nervous and excited. The moment we took off was just as I imagined, and the sensation of rising was incredibly interesting. The helicopter I boarded had windows made of clear acrylic down to the floor, giving me a real feeling of floating in the air, which was amazing.

We took off at 9:20 AM and headed towards the Halemaʻumaʻu Crater, passing over a U.S. Army base. It didn’t look as red as it did the night before, but due to recent significant magma rise, I could see some red lava moving in parts of the crater. The helicopter continued flying along the coast, where we witnessed the lava ocean entry. This is where lava flowing from the crater enters the sea, causing the water to boil violently and steam to rise, creating a spectacular sight.

After that, we landed at Hilo Airport to refuel and took off again 15 minutes later. This was also a restroom break for us. In the second half of the tour, we flew north along the east coast and saw the waterfalls in Waipiʻo Valley, which can only be accessed by helicopter. When the helicopter got close to the cliffs to see the waterfall up close, it was thrilling.

On the way back, we ascended above the clouds and enjoyed the view of the sea of clouds and the towering Mauna Kea. After a safe landing, we returned to the hotel and went shopping at a large shopping mall called Queens' Marketplace until it was time for our flight back to Oahu. I bought local specialties like Kona coffee here. This concluded the main event of my trip.

2016/10/17は、
朝8:20からハワイ島ヘリコプターツアーに参加しました。
ヘリコプターに乗るのは初めてなので緊張しながらワクワクしていました。
搭乗して飛び上がった瞬間は想像通りとはいえ上昇感覚が大変面白かったです。
今回搭乗したヘリは窓が足元まで透明なアクリルで出来ていて、
本当に空中を浮遊している実感が有り、すごかったです。
9時20分に離陸し、
米陸軍基地の上空を通過してハレマウマウ火口に向かいました。
前日の夜に見た時ほど赤く見えませんでしたが、
ここ最近マグマ上昇が顕著だったため火口の一部に赤い溶岩がうごめくのが見れました。
ヘリはそのまま沿岸沿いに飛行し溶岩のオーシャンエントリーを見ました。
これは、火口から流れ出した溶岩が海に流れ込み
その熱で海が激しく沸騰して水蒸気が立ち上っている場所で、大迫力でした。
その後、ヒロ空港に給油のため着陸し15分後離陸しました。
人間は、ここでトイレ休憩でした。
後半は東沿岸を北上し、ヘリでしか行くことのできないワイピオ渓谷の滝を見ました。
滝を間近で見るため断崖絶壁のすぐそばまでヘリが近づいたときはスリル満点でした。
帰りは雲の上まで上昇し、雲海とそびえたつマウナケア山を鑑賞しました。
無事着陸後、ホテルに戻りオアフ島に帰る飛行機の時間まで
クイーンズ・マーケットプレイスという大型ショッピングモールに行き買い物をしました。
ここで地元特産のコナコーヒーなどを買いました。
こうして今回の旅のメインイベントが終わりました。

I came to Hawaii Island from Japan, excited for a vacation! This was my first trip to Hawaii, and I spent a full week on the island. Living in nature was incredibly refreshing.

We stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village condominium. Since there was no shuttle service to the tour destination, we headed to Honokohau Marina with the rental car we had. We drove south on Highway 19, turned right onto Kealakehe Parkway, and quickly spotted the blue-roofed mall, so we didn't get lost.

We arrived a bit early, so we explored the area and found it to be a charming port town, which heightened our excitement! Upon entering the building, we were greeted by an elderly man with white hair. Since I hardly speak any English, I managed to say "Good morning," and he responded with a smile. When I conveyed that I didn't understand English, he handed me a notice and consent form written in Japanese, along with an explanation of the tour and the sights.

There were about 14 participants in total, including two groups from Japan and three family groups from America (among them were four children in elementary school).

As we boarded the boat, we spotted rays in the harbor, which heightened our anticipation! Just 1-2 minutes after departing, wild dolphins appeared, and everyone was thrilled! It was amazing to see wild dolphins swimming alongside the boat and jumping, as if welcoming us!

Our destination was the site of Captain Cook's memorial! We sped across the sea, feeling the wind, but it was quite bumpy and sunny. Sunscreen and rash guards are essential.

The snorkeling point was in a calm cove with excellent visibility, and there were plenty of fish! My companion, who isn't a strong swimmer, was initially scared, but once we got into the water, they became engrossed and enjoyed snorkeling.

After about an hour of snorkeling, we returned to the boat, where homemade sandwiches were served. They were delicious! During several breaks, we also enjoyed snacks, juice, and pineapple! Eating on the water was an extraordinary experience, and the pineapple cut fresh by the captain was especially tasty! Break times were flexible, so even those without much stamina can participate comfortably.

After snorkeling, we were able to rinse off our hair and bodies with a shower! After that, we were guided to the sights. The guidance was all in English, which I couldn't fully understand, but I could grasp the general idea.

On the way back, we saw dolphins again, and when we returned to the harbor, we spotted a sea turtle, making the tour very satisfying!

However, since the captain's guidance was entirely in English, I think it would have been even more enjoyable if I understood English. If I could wish for something, having a Japanese guide would be ideal.

Overall, I was very satisfied, so I highly recommend it!

For those participating, I would like to share a few tips:
1. Be sure to bring sunscreen.
2. A rash guard or long sleeves; women should wear half pants over their swimsuits.
3. If you don't want to rent a mask and snorkel, bring your own.
4. A waterproof camera.

I think these items would be helpful!

日本からハワイ島へバカンスを楽しみにやって来ました！今回の旅行で初めてのハワイに！そして丸々1週間ハワイ島で過ごしました。大自然の中での生活はとてもリフレッシュ出来るものでした。
私たちはワイコロアにあるヒルトンキンクスランドのコンドミニアムに宿泊。
今回はツアー先まで送迎なしだったので借りていたレンタルカーで現地ホノコハウ・マリーナへ向かいました。
19号線をひたすら南下し、Kealakehe Pkwyを右折、すぐに目印の青い屋根のモールが見えたので迷いませんでした。

少し早めに着いたので周りを散策するととても雰囲気のある港町で楽しみが増して来ました！
建物に入ると白髪の老父がお出迎え！英語がほとんど話せない私はなんとか「グットモーニング」と話仕掛けると笑顔で対応してくれましたが英語はわかりませんと伝えると日本語の書いてある注意事項と同意書、そして今回のツアーの内容と名所の説明書きを渡されました。
実際に参加したのは私たちを含め日本から二組、アメリカから来ていたご家族グループ三組と14人位が参加(中には小学生低学年程のお子様も4人いました)

ボートに乗り込む時港にはエイが現れ、ワクワクが高まります！港を出港して1〜2分で野生のイルカが現れみんなで興奮しました！
まさかいきなり野生のイルカが現れてボートと並行して泳いだり、ジャンプしたりとまるで歓迎してくれているようでした！

目的地はキャプテン・クックの慰霊碑がある場所へ！海上を物凄いスピードで進み、風を感じられますが、激しい揺れと強い陽射しでした。
日焼け止めとラッシュガードは必需品です。

シュノーケリングポイントは波のない入江の小湾のような場所で透明度抜群で魚もたくさんいました！
泳ぐのが苦手な連れは最初は怖がっていましたが、いざ海に入ると夢中になって普通にシュノーケリングして楽しんでいました。

小一時間くらいシュノーケリングを楽しみ一度ボートに戻るとお手製のサンドイッチが振舞われました。それがとても美味しかったです！他にも数回の休憩中にスナックやジュース、パイナップルも！海上で食べる非日常の体験とても良かったです！キャプテンがその場で切ってくれたパイナップルもても美味しかったです！休憩は時間などは自分たち次第なので体力のない方でも安心して行えます。

シュノーケリングが終わるとシャワーで髪や青を洗わせてくれます！
シュノーケリング後に名所へ案内してくれました。ガイダンスは全て英語で理解できませんでしたが、なんとなくニュアンスでわかる？感じでした。

帰る途中もイルカが現れたり、港に戻るとウミガメが現れたりツアーとしては大満足出来ました！

ただキャプテンのガイドが全て英語だったので英語が理解できていればもっと楽しいと思います。贅沢を言えば日本語ガイドが付いていれば最高です。

トータル的にすごく満足できたのでオススメです！

参加する方にお伝えしたいことは
1.必ず日焼け止めを持っていく
2.ラッシュガード、もしくは長袖、女性は水着の上に履くハーフパンツ
3.マスク、シュノーケルのレンタルが嫌な方は自前の物を
4.水中用カメラ
を持っていくと良いと思います。

I recently participated in an event. On the day of the event, the departure was delayed due to the ship we were boarding, but we were taken to a spot nearby where we could see sea turtles. I was very happy to see the turtles up close. Of course, we also encountered manta rays!

As mentioned in other comments, please be aware that the meeting point is quite difficult to find. I have attached a photo of the location, but here are the key points a to c:
a. There are no stores or signs at the location.
b. There is a large parking area on the north side of the bay, so please park your car there. The restroom in the middle of the parking area should serve as a landmark.
c. In one corner of that parking lot, there is a waiting area with a yellow wall and a blue roof, which is the meeting point. The yellow and blue should help you identify it.

I have three pieces of advice for preparation based on our reflections:
1. I recommend taking motion sickness medication before participating. Even if you don't get seasick, you might feel queasy from the ocean waves!
2. The return boat ride can be cold since you will be wet from the sea. Bringing a thick and large towel, like a hotel bath towel, is recommended for warmth!
3. It's best to use a bag that is either covered in plastic or waterproof. While on the boat to the location, the ocean spray can get you and your belongings wet!

先日参加してまいりました。
当日は乗船する船の影響で出港が遅れたのですが、近くに海亀が見れるスポットがあるという事で連れて行ってもらいました。間近に亀が見れてとても嬉しかったです。もちろんマンタにも会えました♪
他の方のコメントにもありますが集合場所がとてもわかりにくいため、注意してください。現地の写真を添付しましたが、次のa〜cがポイントです。
a.現地に店舗や看板はありません。
b.湾の北側に大きな駐車スペースがあるので、そこに車を止めましょう。駐車スペースの真ん中にトイレがあるのが目印となると思います。
c.その駐車場の隅の一画に黄色の壁で青色の屋根の待機スペースがあり、そこが集合場所となっています。黄色と青色が目印になるはずです。
事前準備としてのアドバイスが3点あります。我々の反省点を踏まえて1〜3に記載しますので参考になさってください。
1.酔い止めを飲んで参加することをお勧めします。船に酔わなくても海の波に酔ってしまうこともありますので要注意です！
2.帰りの船は海に濡れたまま走行するので寒いです。ホテルのバスタオル位分厚くて大きなのを持っていくと防寒になりますのでオススメです！
3.船に持込む袋はビニールをかぶせるか防水の効いた物が良いと思います。現地に行くまでの船上、海の波しぶきが飛んでくるので、荷物も含めて全身濡れてしまいますので！

The Japanese guide, Daisuke, who came to pick us up, was very friendly and wonderful, making the bus ride enjoyable from the start. We were really surprised by how many dolphins we encountered right from the beginning. There are many dolphin tours available, but I'm really glad I participated in this one. If you want to swim with dolphins on the Big Island, I definitely recommend this tour. I want to join again, so I will work hard to save money and go back once I can dive.

迎えに来て下さった日本語ガイドのダイスケさんが、とても気さくで素敵な方で、行きのバスから楽しめました。そしてイルカちゃんは、本当にびっくりするくらい初めから、沢山出会えました。
イルカツアーは沢山ありますが、このツアーに参加して本当に良かったです。ハワイ島でイルカと泳ぎたい方は、是非このツアーをおすすめします。私ももう一回参加したいので、頑張ってお金をためて、潜れるようになってからまたいきたいです。

Terrific guide who was quite knowledgeable. Came close to spinner dolphins and had a wonderful time snorkeling watching the many beautiful fish.
