I thought I was fine since I had already seen dolphins in Honolulu, but when my schedule opened up, I quickly changed my plans to join. Since it was a small group, the price was a bit higher, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I never thought I would be able to do a dolphin swim, but surprisingly, I was able to! I wore longer fins, and a female staff member guided me underwater, allowing me to catch up with the pod of dolphins several times. It was truly moving. I don't think I'll have an experience like this again. I felt that the small group size contributed to it. The dolphins in Honolulu were just passing by, so swimming with them was quite far from reality. Also, the wetsuits need to be reserved in advance, so the water can get quite cold, so don't forget if you need one. The sun is strong, but it can get pretty chilly while moving around. There was no mention of tips, but since it's Hawaii, I was encouraged to pay the captain, so I did. I happened to have cash on hand, which was good, but I think it would help everyone if it was mentioned in advance. It was a very valuable experience. Thank you very much.

The Good:
The snorkeling was amazing, right by the capt. cook monument, lots of fish and coral to be seen. The staff was VERY friendly and accommodating to the needs of the clients (snorkeling alternatives for the scared/claustrophobic, flotation devices, vast selection of equipment). The food was better than expected (continental breakfast followed by a hot dog or a well done BBQ cheeseburger, very thin but acceptable.) Booze was reasonably priced.

The Bad:
The boat was at MAXIMUM capacity. SNUBA is an extra $70 (surprise!) There is a dude videotaping the whole thing and semi-forcably interviewing EVERYONE (even the very socially uncomfortable, myself) who seemed very used-car-salesmanly. He sold his DVD for $70, even though it seemed like mostly stock footage.

The Verdict:
Would not do again. Should be 50% cheaper or 50% less crowded. If you really just want to see some fish buy yourself a snorkel and mask and get yourself to the capt. cook monument via hike or kayak

Last year, I participated in a horseback riding tour that went up Waipi'o Valley, so this year I joined a tour that explored the valley below, and the lower course was definitely more fun!
In particular, crossing a river that was about waist-deep on the horse, with my feet lifted up in the stirrups, was truly thrilling and enjoyable.
I have a British-style riding license, but I found Western riding to be very enjoyable as well.
The staff brought a lot of organic fruits like avocados and starfruit to share with us.
The horses were well-trained, so I felt safe while riding.
They were all very well-behaved horses.
I highly recommend it!!

ブリティッシュスタイルのライセンスを持っている私ですが、ウエスタン乗りも非常に楽しかったです。
スタッフがアボガドやスターフルーツなどオーガニックフルーツをたくさん採ってきて振舞ってくれます。
お馬も良く調教されてるから、安心してライディングできました。
おりこうなお馬ばかりでした。
とてもおススメです！！

My daughter and I really enjoyed horseback riding through Waipio Valley. Just be warned that if it is the dry sesson, you won't see any waterfalls. We did see lots of water though in addition to taro fields, wild horses and plenty of beautiful scenery. Our guides, Dava and Robert were entertaining, yet professional. I highly recommend this tour, as many people try to hike down into the valley and don't get far. Then they have to walk back up that very steep road! One warning. Do wear long pants or some sort of insect repellant. We were told there were no mosquitos but my daughter and I both returned with lots of bites.

Last year, three adults participated in the morning tour. It was so good that we decided to join again. This year, since my grandchild is with us, we participated in the afternoon tour with a shorter snorkeling time. It seems the weather is better in the morning, but we still had a great time even with a little cloud cover. My grandchild enjoyed looking underwater with the mat that has a glass viewing window and was able to see many fish! Kealakekua Bay is truly beautiful! Next time, I want to join the morning tour again where we can enjoy snorkeling twice.

I participated because I really wanted to see dolphins in Hawaii for the first time. I even got to see a baby dolphin, and snorkeling was comfortable. The ocean was so beautiful and enjoyable that I lost track of time. However, I wonder if it was because I couldn't sleep the night before? I got really seasick (￣O￣;).

If there's a next time, I want to participate after getting a good night's sleep (￣^￣)ゞ.

We participated in a 1.5-hour course with a group of five, including two of us and three American family members. We leisurely progressed in a single line through a very spacious and pleasant ranch. Perhaps because there were children, we mostly walked at a slow pace. They also gave us time to stop and take photos along the way. The riding time was exactly one and a half hours. It was fun, but I thought that a 2.5-hour ride might get boring.

This is a great day for an experienced snorkler and, at the same time, individuals less confident in the water. An abundence of sea life, including a manta, a great beach and beautiful vista were all part of the experience. Followed by a smooth but good sail home, it was enough but not too much for a first morning after a late arrival. Food good, crew great and helpful, equipment good and boat comfortable - great for the activity type and well maintained. All in all, a very good experience.

We participated as a mature couple. Despite putting in the effort to scout the day before, we made the mistake of forgetting to reconfirm, which made us a bit anxious on the day of the event. However, we passed through the check-in without any issues.

The boat was surprisingly large and didn't sway too much, but there were some people who got seasick, so motion sickness medication might be essential. Most of the passengers were Westerners. There were a couple and a family from South Korea, but we were the only Japanese. All the explanations were in English, which went right over my head. However, it was fine as long as I carefully read the Japanese instructions handed out at check-in.

Kealakekua Bay has exceptional clarity. We enjoyed a luxurious time playing with beautiful fish. Previously, I had dived at various resorts as a resort diver, but I was moved by the beautiful underwater scenery after a long time. The weather was good, and the light shone through, making the corals and colorful fish sparkle. This was the first time I felt so satisfied with snorkeling.

The hamburger for lunch was very delicious, and I couldn't help but ask for a second serving. If I come back to the Big Island, I would love to see that beautiful sea again.

船は意外に大きく揺れもそれほどではなかったですが、船酔いした人がいたので酔い止めは必携かもしれません。乗客は欧米人がほとんど。韓国人のカップルとファミリーはいたものの日本人は私たちだけ。説明は全て英語で、私の耳を素通りしていきました。重要事項は受付で渡された日本語の説明書を熟読すれば大丈夫です。

ケアラケクア湾は透明度抜群。キレイな魚たちと遊ぶ贅沢な時間を堪能しました。以前、リゾートダイバーで色々なリゾートで潜りましたが、久しぶりに美しい海中の光景に感動。天候が良かったこともあり、光が差し込みキラキラ輝くサンゴと色とりどりの魚たち。シュノーケルでここまで満足したのは初めてです。

昼食のハンバーガーはとっても美味で、思わずおかわりしてしまいました。またハワイ島に来ることがあれば、もう一度あの美しい海を見たいと思います。

A highlight of the show was the guy that juggled knives while they were on fire. After the show, the dancers came out to meet and take pictures! I would definitely recommend this show to anyone!

This is a horseback riding experience in a very spacious pasture that spreads across the mountainside at an elevation of about 1,000 meters along the Kohala Mountain Road. I aimed for the meeting point by rental car, but there were hardly any houses along the mountain road, which made me feel a bit uneasy as I ventured deeper into the area. However, I was able to easily find the entrance shortly after passing the milestone as directed. There is a reception area a little further up the slope. Since there was already a customer's car parked there, I had no trouble finding it. This reception area is also at a high elevation and offers a great view, but the tour begins after you go further up and around the gentle mountainside. The reception building has a cabin-like style, but it is by no means dirty, and there are Japanese signs, so filling out the paperwork was not particularly difficult. The instructor, a Caucasian woman, can speak a little broken Japanese, but all other instructions are given in English. After borrowing a helmet and listening to the explanation on how to ride the horse, we immediately started riding. The horse was very easy to ride, and there was nothing dangerous about it. 海抜約１０００メートル地点を行くコハラマウンテンロード沿いから、さらに上の山腹に広がる、大変広々とした牧草地での乗馬です。レンタカーで集合場所を目指しましたが、途中のマウンテンロード沿いには人家はほとんどなく、どんどん奥地へ進んで行く気がして、少し不安になりますが、案内どおりに目標のマイルポストを過ぎてしばらくした地点に、簡単に入口を見つけることができました。そこからさらに少し斜面を上がったところに、受付があります。先客の乗用車が既に駐車していたので迷うことはありませんでした。この受付場所付近でも、標高が高く、とても眺めの良い場所なのですが、ここからさらに、上の方へなだらかな山腹を回るとツアーになります。受付の建物は山小屋風ですが、決して汚くはなく、日本語の表示もあり、書類の記入も特に困ることはありませんでした。インストラクターの白人女性は、片言の日本語を少し並べることはできますが、それ以外の案内はすべて英語で行われます。ヘルメットを借り、馬の乗り方の説明を聞いたら、すぐに乗馬開始です。とても乗りやすい馬で、危ない思いをするようなことはありません。途中、移動しながら写真を撮ったり、自分たちのペースで楽しませてくれます。しだいに高度を上げていき、馬上から見る眺めが大変見晴らしが良く、遠くワイコロア方面の海岸線も見渡せます。単純な乗馬ツアーというよりも、乗馬＆見晴らしツアーと言っても過言ではないくらいです。ずっと晴天で快適ではありましたが、風はかなり強く、長そでの上着は必須アイテムです。私の場合、ウインドブレーカーを着て行ったのですが、風に吹かれるとウィンドブレーカーがカシャカシャと音を立て、馬が神経質になるらしく、出発前にセーターはないのかと言われました。他に服はなかったので、ロッカールームでセーターを借りて、出発することになりました。服装には注意が必要だと思いました。

An amazing place to visit and the tour guide was excellent. Only problem was very poor coordination in getting us from Big Island to Oahu - no information on who to meet or where to go. We ended up having to phone the tour operator when we arrived in Oahu. After that though the day was amazing.

Stunning beauty and fascinating cultural legacy! We had been before with another company. Both were equally as great, but we didn't book ahead this time. Online-no luck...but when I called the 800 number, Reid Oshiro w Veltra helped with concierge service. Booked my party of 10, emailed and phoned me to confirm, etc. Reid, you were our hero of our week on Hawaii! Before or after your HB trip have lunch at the local pizza place in Waipio and shop the couple of nick-nack shops. Ten mins from trails. Really great food! Nice day!
