Hardly a luau experience

I've gone to a luau in Hawaii before and this is not at all what you'd expect. We were greeted with the complimentary Mai Tais and a glass of wine which was probably the most positive thing about the experience. The indoor area where we were seated felt like we were attending a small banquet. As we were eating our dinner, there was only one performer sitting on a small stage singing. The performer sang well, but we'd like to see more talent than just one guy singing. The food was mediocre, and that's coming from someone with low food expectations. We were informed at the beginning of the dinner that there wouldn't be a "Rock-A-Hulu" show, which is what I think most people see in the pictures upon booking. The hulu show that they did put on had only 2 female and 1 male dancers. It was interesting enough to watch, but hardly anything worth remembering. I booked this luau for my friends' first time because all of the other popular luaus were sold out, and I regret it.
