When I had the chance to go to Hawaii in January, I thought this was my opportunity and signed up. I waited on the deck for two hours, filled with excitement and anticipation, but unfortunately, they never appeared. I understand that encounters with nature depend on luck, but it was disappointing. Still, I believe I will see them someday, and I would like to sign up again. The tour was easy to understand and friendly, and the boat was large, which gave me a sense of security.

The Makapu'u Lookout, included in other tours, is a viewpoint located at the base of this cape. While it offers beautiful scenery worth visiting on its own, the view towards the ocean is limited due to the small hill in the direction of the cape. The trail on this tour goes around that hill, and especially in the latter half, you walk along the cliffs towering over the vast ocean (the path is well-maintained, so it's not dangerous) and ascend to the highest point overlooking the lighthouse. The grandeur of the scenery along the way is incomparable to the lookout. You should definitely experience it.

This tour itself does not include any other sightseeing, just a round-trip shuttle to the trailhead, but I think it is the most convenient means of transportation from Waikiki to this trail.

If it wasn’t for our tour guide, Dave, our adventure would have been very unsatisfactory. There was far far too much driving. The caves were inaccessible for most of us as the rocks were slippery. The stairs were steep, and there weren’t enough hiking sticks to go around. we stopped for quite a bit of time just to have lunch, which to me was very unnecessary. A snack would’ve sufficed. Then we drove, which seemed to be forever to go see the most recent lava flow… Which was quite interesting but somewhat repetitive. Again, if it wasn’t for our tour guide, Dave, his personality, information and enthusiasm It would’ve been a bust. Again far far far too much driving for what we actually could get out and enjoy and see.

On New Year's Eve, I participated in a tour the day after my arrival. The Japanese driver was very reassuring, and it was great to hear various stories about Hawaii. It was my first time on the North Shore, and despite my worries about the weather, we were blessed with good conditions. Even during a relaxed time, we were able to hit all the key points, making it a fantastic start to my time in Hawaii. I'm grateful for that.

In particular, it was excellent to visit the rock that the famous baseball player, Shohei Ohtani, also visited. I was able to build upon the information I received to plan the following days. It turned out to be the best trip to Hawaii. Thank you very much.

They also take plenty of photos for us. At one point, my daughter had a little trouble with her Segway and fell, but they handled it well.

It seems that my child really wanted to do this in Hawaii, so our whole family participated! I usually don't exercise and don't ride bikes, so I was quite nervous, but the staff member was kind and taught me patiently, and I was able to ride in just five minutes! The Hawaiian breeze felt amazing, and we talked about how we should have chosen a longer course on our way back! My child loves art, so it seemed to be the most fun for them. Before boarding, it was unfortunately raining, but once we got on the boat, the rain stopped and we had clear skies. After enjoying stories from the captain and crew that heightened our excitement about possibly seeing whales, we headed to the deck. While we strained our eyes looking out to sea, we sadly didn’t spot any whales, perhaps they were on their New Year’s break. However, we were able to leisurely enjoy the views of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the ocean, making for a refreshing cruise. Due to scheduling conflicts, I didn’t receive the next free boarding voucher, but many others did. If the opportunity arises again, I would love to participate.

The pickup at the hotel and boarding went smoothly. Our table was by the window, but since we moved to the deck to actually look outside, I don't think it was necessary to be too particular about it.

People from various countries, including the mainland United States, gathered, creating a lively atmosphere, and the staff kept the energy up right until the countdown.

I found myself dancing at the YMCA, which was a bit out of character for me.

I was surprised at how delicious the steak and lobster were, even better than I had expected.

The fireworks were quite close, featuring star mines and large shells, reminiscent of the Japanese style.

On the way back, it gets crowded, so it's best to move to your bus early.

This was a great tour with a knowledgable guide who provided lots of fun and interesting "inside Five-0" production stories. The house is privately owned and it's remarkable to be able to visit, very grateful for the sharing of this special setting. The highlight was a visit from Shawn Mokuahi Garnett who plays Cousin Flippa - just as delightful, funny, and warm as his character. The tour is pure nostalgic fun.

Bring a fork for Toddlers

Food was delicious, entertainment beautiful. We had a 2 yo with us and while they provided orange juice for him as his complimentary drink, he received no fork or napkin. When we asked for one, the waiter said he would see if he could find one and never came back. There were also dinner rolls in the table for all except the child. We were told we had to share ours with him.
