I booked a group tour for the standard package starting at 10:30 on January 29. The weather was really nice that day, and since the temperature was high, most of the members went up to the rooftop deck to relax with some drinks while waiting for the whales to appear.

The captain frequently announced sightings of spouts in various directions from around Diamond Head. We could indeed see spouts in the distance, but we joked that this wasn't whale watching; it was more like spout watching.

However! Right in front of us at the back of the boat, we spotted a whale swimming just below the surface! Without moving much, this whale showed us its spout, body, and tail all at once! Everyone was moved by this experience.

I never expected to see them up so close. I highly recommend this tour to anyone planning to go during this season. It was truly amazing!

１月２９日１０：３０からのスタンダードにグループで申し込んだ。
この日は天気も凄く良く気温も高かった為にメンバーの殆どが屋上デッキに上がり
日光浴がてらアルコールを飲みながらノンビリとクジラの出現を待っていました。
ダイヤモンドヘッド沖辺りからキャプテンのアナウンスで　何時の方角に潮吹きを発見　とのアナウンスが頻繁にでました。
確かに遠くの方に潮が上がっているのが見えるけど、これってホエールウオッチングじゃなくて潮吹きウッチングじゃない　苦笑と悪態ついていました。
が！船尾部分に陣取っていた私たちの目の前、船の際・真下に泳いでいるクジラを発見！！！
場所もさほど移動もせずに、このクジラさんは　潮吹き・胴体・テール全てを披露してくれました！！！
これには全員感動でした。
まさかこれほど間近で見れるなんて思っていませんでした。
この時期に行かれる方達には是非このツアーに参加していただきたいと思います。
いや~本当に良かったー！！！

The ship was large, and at first, it was impressive, but I gradually became bored. The whales didn't show themselves much, so I started to feel anxious just looking at the sea. However, after a while, I saw the spout of a whale and caught a glimpse of its tail. I had imagined the photos shown in the activity introduction, so I thought, "Huh? Is that all??" I had ordered a course without meals, so I ended up with nothing to do and just stared blankly.

But on the way back, we were able to see a large group of dolphins jumping near the ship, and the whole boat erupted in cheers!! That was much more moving.

There is a rule that you can't get within 100 meters of the whales, and there's no guarantee that you'll see them, so if you go in too eager from the start, you might be disappointed. Since it's nature, luck plays a part.

I've heard that on some days you can see whales jumping, so if I get the chance, I might consider trying again. I would recommend it for those who can take it easy.

船は大きく、最初は感動するのですが、次第に飽きてしまいました。クジラもなかなか姿を見せてくれずただ海を見ているだけ状態だったので、不安になりましたが、しばらくしてクジラの潮吹きが見え、尾びれが少しみれました。アクティビティ紹介にあるような写真の姿を想像したので、え！？これだけ？？という印象でした。食事なしのコースを頼んだので、めっきりヒマになってしまい。ただぼーっとするだけに。
でも、帰路でイルカの大群が船の近くをぴょんぴょんジャンプする姿を見ることができて船中が大歓声に包まれました！！そっちのほうが感動しましたね。
クジラには100メートル以内には近づいてはダメというルールがあり、尚且つ絶対見れるという保証はないので、最初から張り切って行くと、がっかりしてしまうかもしれません。自然のものですから運があるでしょうし。
日によってはクジラがジャンプする姿もみれるらしいので、機会があったらまたチャレンジしよーかなとは思います。のんびり構えることができる人にはおすすめカモ　？

Since it was my first New Year's in Hawaii, I looked for a memorable way to celebrate and signed up for this tour, and I was deeply moved. (I even shed a tear.)

The reasons are:

1. The food was incredibly delicious, and the presentation was good.
2. The countdown was accompanied by a radio broadcast, and all the passengers counted down together.
3. The fireworks from Aloha Tower were right in front of us, and it was very impressive.

Since it was just my husband and me, we chose a romantic seating arrangement, and it was a great decision. It wasn't a flashy show atmosphere, but we enjoyed it in a mature mood. Most of the couple's seats seemed to be by the window, but if you pay an extra fee for a guaranteed window seat, it looks like you would have a better view. On this day, various hotels in Waikiki were also hosting dinner shows, but I highly recommend this tour!

初めてのハワイでの年越しだったので、記念に残る形を探して、
このツアーに申し込みましたが、感激しました｡
(不覚にも涙してしまいました）

理由としては

１、お料理が超美味しい、盛り付けもＧｏｏｄ
２、カウントダウンはラジオ放送が流れ、船客全員でカウントダウン
３、アロハタワーの花火が目の前に見えて、大迫力

私は主人と二人だったので、ロマンスの席にしましたが、
大正解でした。ショーのような派手な雰囲気ではありませんでしたが、
大人のムードで楽しめました｡カップルの席はほとんどが窓際のようでしたが、
プラス料金で窓側確約にすれば、景色が良い方の向きになっていたようです｡
この日は、ワイキキの各ホテルでもディナーショーなどやっていましたが、
このツアーは最高におすすめです！

If you don't like sharing a table, it's better to choose this option. There are seats by the sea, and they are divided according to the number of people. One person has their back to the sea, so it can be a bit uncomfortable to look at the ocean, but it was fine since we enjoyed delicious food together. The champagne is one bottle for two people, and there was quite a lot, more than we could finish. They also took photos for us, which made for a great memory.

相席がイヤならこのオプションを付けたほうが良いですよ。海側に席があって人数に応じて席が区分けされています。一人は海に背を向けているので海を眺める時はちょっとツライ姿勢になるけど２人で美味しい料理をいただけたから別に良いけど。シャンパンは２人で一本なんですが結構量が沢山で飲みきれないほどでした。写真もとってもらって良い記念になりました。

We added a couple's plan to the three-star course. It wasn't that I really disliked sharing a table, but having our own dishes on our own table definitely makes for a more relaxing dining experience. Although the neighboring seats aren't very far away, there are other people nearby, but it doesn't bother me at all. The price is also quite reasonable, and it includes a commemorative photo, so I recommend opting for this plan.

３スターのコースにカップルプランをつけました。
相席がすごいやだったわけではないですが、気分的に自分達のテーブルには自分達の料理がのっていて、
食事ができるのは、やっぱり落ち着きます。隣の席とすごく離れてるわけではないので、
すぐ近くにに他の人がいるけれど、別に気にはなりません。
料金自体も安くて、記念の写真もついてくるので、このプランをつけることをおすすめします。
