I was looking forward to it, so I was a bit disappointed. Hanauma Bay was murky, probably due to the high tide, and it wasn't worth the money to pay for it. Compared to Guam and Saipan... it was disappointing. The female instructor... she might need to be that assertive to live in Hawaii, but her condescending tone from start to finish was very unpleasant. I thought it was pointless to get angry halfway through, so I gave up and got used to it. Mr. Dan was surprisingly nice, and I felt he had a good balance. They provided transportation, the equipment was very good, they explained how to use it properly, there was no wasted time, and they took good care of the family who was snorkeling for the first time. We even got to see sea turtles, and they took photos for us. There were more good things than bad, but... I'm done with it.

ハナウマ湾は大潮だったせいか、濁っていてわざわざお金を払って払う程の海ではありませんでした。グアム、サイパンに比べたら……残念でした。女性インストラクターさんは…ハワイで暮らすにはあれぐらい気が強くないとやっていけないのかもしれませんが、最初から最後まで上目線の話し方でとても不愉快でした。途中から腹を立てても仕方がないと考え、諦めたら慣れました。ダン先生は驚くほど良い人で、バランスがとれてるのだと感じました。送迎あり、機材はとても良く、きちんと使い方を説明してくれ、時間に無駄がなく、初めてのシュノーケリングする家族の面倒も良く見て頂けて、ウミガメにも会えて、写真も撮ってくれて、良いことの方が多いのですが……私はもういいです。

Great way to experience the west coast

We had Bob take us out to the west coast for the day, he was super knowledgeable about the history of Hawaii and provided a great cultural insight Into the lifestyle of the people.

We visited a magnificent cave, and several picturesque locations, followed up with a snorkel that was really appropriate to our skill level (intermediate).

He took plenty of pictures for us, and it was good to know that the tour went ahead regardless of numbers.

Fantastic day, best one of the holiday yet!

On the day of the tour, we had a plan for the afternoon, and it was just my husband and me participating. Our guide was Chieko, a very friendly Japanese woman. She was quite experienced, and she seemed to know everyone at Hanauma Bay. It had been quite a challenge for us since we participated in a snorkeling tour in Saipan 30 years ago, but Chieko efficiently taught us the snorkeling techniques, so we felt comfortable joining in. She also took underwater photos and shared them with us. She guided us expertly to points where many fish were swimming. To our surprise, we even saw a turtle. It was an unforgettable and wonderful memory. I’m really glad we participated. Hanauma Bay is thoroughly protected, so the water is very clear and beautiful, and the fish are impressively large. They grow big because they are protected. We saw mongooses playing on the beach. With the life jackets, we floated safely, and by moving our fins, we could swim forward. All we had to do was breathe through our mouths instead of our noses. My husband and I confidently recommend this tour to everyone.

当日は午後からのプランで、参加者は私達夫婦だけでした。担当はchiekoさん。とっても気さくな、日本の方でした。相当なベテランの方で、ハナウマ湾の係りの方は皆、知り合いでした。私達はなにしろ、サイパンで３０年前にシュノーケルツアーに参加して以来のチャレンジですが、chiekoさんが手際よくシュノーケルの要領を教えてくれたので安心して参加出来ました。水中写真も撮っていただいてアップして下さいました。魚が沢山泳いでいるポイントを要領よく案内していただきました。なんと、亀も見れました。一生忘れられない素晴らしい思い出です。本当に参加して良かったです。ハナウマ湾は自然保護が徹底しているので、水はとっても透き通ってきれいですし、お魚さんのなんと大きいこと。迫力満点です。保護されているので、大きく育つそうです。海岸ではマングースが遊んでいました。ライフジャケットで体は浮いているので、安心ですし、足ヒレを動かせば前に進みます。後は鼻で息をしないで、口で呼吸すればいいだけです。私達夫婦はこのツアーを自信を持って皆さんに推薦します。

So Many Fish!!!

I want to start this review by saying that Kieko (our guide) picked us up at our hotel and I was not in the right pick up area. She was actually walking around calling out my name and found me. I cannot thank her enough!!!

The tour was about a half day long - we went in the morning, which I would recommend because it can get crowded at Hanauma as the day goes on.

We were able to lock up our valuables while we were in the water. The tram ride down and back up to the parking lot was awesome

As for the snorkelling - it was AMAZING. I cannot believe how many different species of marine life we saw. So much fun. I did not want to get out of the water!

Me and my 3 kids had a great experience snorkeling with Dan. This was our first experience and i had never thought i could go in for straight 35 mins with my kids [our youngest is 6 years old]. I felt i was in safe hands with Dan and did have to worry much about the kids. I will go back to Dan when we visit Hawaii, without a doubt !!

I wanted to go to Hanauma Bay with a different tour company than last time, but it seems that the two plans listed on Veltra are from the same tour company. There is no difference in the guide's content between the two plans (only differences in the included fees). I'm disappointed that the plan names are different but it's the same tour company.
The guide was friendly, but I wonder if it's just me who feels a bit frustrated by how Americanized it is...
There was someone who got seasick. Those who can't swim might feel scared as the waves can pull you in. It requires stamina since you'll be swimming for about an hour.

前回と違ったツアー会社でハナウマ湾に行きたかったのですが、ベルトラに掲載されている２つのプランは同じツアー会社のようです。２プランともガイド内容に差はありません(含まれる料金の違い)。プラン名が違うのに同じツアー会社でがっかり。。

This was my second time in Hawaii, and I visited Lanikai Beach for the first time! The ocean was incredibly beautiful and the clarity was amazing. I also climbed to the Pillbox, and although it was very tiring, I was able to enjoy the best views! I had plenty of time, so I was able to go into the city as well, and it was a lot of fun!

I participated in this trip because I wanted to take my 5-year-old daughter to Kailua, where we went for our honeymoon! I was nervous until the pickup, but we safely boarded and headed to Kailua. There were changing rooms and lockers for valuables, so it was安心 for families with children. The staff were all friendly and kind. My daughter really warmed up and kept talking to Mieko (is that the right name?). I’m sorry for interrupting your work!

We headed to the beach at 9:30 and were able to relax until 3 PM with a lunch break in between. It was quite windy that day, which made things a bit challenging, but we had a really great time.

Next time, when my daughter can ride a bike, I’d like to go to Kailua Town.

My husband, at 66 years old, took on his first snorkeling adventure! I had to persuade him to join, so I read various experiences and decided that this tour was the best choice. It was a great decision. I was worried about my husband, who has nasal issues, when I heard the instruction, "Breathe through your mouth only, not your nose," but thanks to Chieko's excellent teaching, he didn't struggle with breathing and was able to enjoy about an hour of snorkeling without holding back the younger couples. We created wonderful memories with the beautiful sea and the adorable, colorful fish. What is the path to enjoying snorkeling? The path to meeting the fish? Dan guided us along that sea path and helped us meet the fish. I recommend renting a wetsuit as it has many advantages, such as protecting against injuries from coral and helping with buoyancy, as well as keeping warm. Dan took plenty of photos and uploaded them to Facebook, so we could download them to our smartphones. The only disappointment was that we didn't get to see any sea turtles. It seemed that the continuous hour of swimming was tough for my husband, and he mentioned that he was tired and wanted a break.

Kailua Beach & Lanikai Day Pass with Included Gear, Free Parking and Optional Waikiki Transportation

Had a great time the first time, I did it again. I did the same thing, got bicycle and rode to the end of Lanikai beach to find that spot I first saw, a secluded beach to myself. However this year was high tide and didn't have the beach, but still enjoyed to peace and quiet though. From there, I traveled all the back to Kailua, and kept on going north until it was time to go back. Then choose Bobs pizza, cannot go wrong. Will I go back and do this again; for sure!!
Thumbs up again on the great customer service, accommodating their customers, the reason of being in business. You can expand your business by start selling seminars on how to conduct great ethical business practices.

I participated in the afternoon session starting at 12:30. Fortunately, we were the only participants. According to the guide, there were nine participants in the morning session, which seems to be more popular, possibly because it allows for more effective use of time. In the afternoon, the water temperature is warmer, so for those who dislike cold water, the afternoon might be a better option.

The guide, who has lived in Hawaii for over 20 years, shared a lot of information about Hawaii during the round trip, which was very helpful. They also provided thorough instructions during snorkeling. The snorkeling masks were of good quality, designed to prevent water from entering through the nozzle. On that day, there were quite a few waves, and while swimming, I occasionally got splashed, but since water didn’t come in from above, it was easy to swim.

The snorkeling time was about an hour, but it flew by as I was swimming and looking for fish. I couldn't find any turtles, but I was able to see various types of fish, which was enjoyable.

シュノーケルの時間は1時間程度とのことですが、魚を探して泳いでいたらあっという間に過ぎてしまいました。亀は見つけられませんでしたが、色々な種類の魚を観ることが出来て、楽しかったです。

There was a mix-up with the pickup on the way, which led to me having to call the tour company and wait for about an hour, but I was eventually picked up and taken to Kailua. As an apology for the mix-up, they provided a free bike rental, and the staff were very kind and attentive, which was great.

In previous Kailua tours, I couldn't store my luggage, but with this plan, I was able to use a locker, so I didn't have to carry valuables to the beach, and I could leave my change of clothes, which was super convenient. Thanks to the rental bikes, I was able to visit Lanikai Beach and enjoy snorkeling. In the afternoon, I also had a great time shopping in Kailua Town. It was truly a fun day. I would like to sign up for this tour again the next time I go to Kailua. Thank you!

Such a great experience! I'm not a strong swimmer, but the guides went the perfect pace for people of all strengths. They start by teaching you how to use the snorkel equipment, then you follow one of the guides around to see all the reefs and the fish. It was fun, easy and the perfect addition to a trip on Oahu!

What a great snorkeling experience!! Although we had snorkeled before (quite a few years ago), my husband was not able to complete the adventure even though Chieko tried to pull the 2 of us around. So, my husband went back to land and Chieko pulled me around (I just had to relax and enjoy). We saw so many & beautiful fish. I would definitely recommend this tour.

An emotional experience! 感動の体験！

It was my first time snorkeling, and the instructions were very thorough, allowing me to get used to it quickly! In the clear sea, I was able to see many fish, making it an incredible experience. During the transfer, the guide shared insights about the town, making for a fulfilling tour. While some people swam without renting a wetsuit, I found it warm and it provided extra buoyancy, so for someone like me who wasn't confident in swimming, it was the right choice to rent one.

初めてのシュノーケリングでしたが、丁寧に説明してくださり、すぐに慣れることができました！透き通った海ではたくさんの魚を見ることが出来、感動的な体験となりました。送迎中も街並みを見ながらガイドしていただき、充実したツアーでした。ウェットスーツは借りずに泳がれている方ももちろんいましたが、温かく、浮力も増すため、泳ぎに自信が無かった私は、借りて正解でした。

My BF & I were looking for something just like this since it had been many years since we both went snorkeling. Our guides were friendly, prompt, and knew what they were doing. They provided all the equipment and snacks for later. They made it very easy and it was a great trip! Would definitely recommend and use them again! Oh and they allow you to dl the photos they take for free!!

It was an experience where I could feel the growth of my child! 子供の成長も感じられた体験になりました！

The couple who are instructors worked together seamlessly. First, they took photos after we arrived at Hanauma Bay, and then we chose our fins. We rented wetsuits to prevent scratches from the coral and because the seawater was cold, which turned out to be a great decision! Thanks to this, both my child and I were able to enjoy snorkeling comfortably. I absolutely recommend it for sunburn prevention as well.

Before entering the water, they explained how to use the mask and snorkel in a very easy-to-understand way, and after we got in, they taught us how to move, which allowed my 6-year-old son to enjoy himself without any issues. They also took many underwater photos, creating wonderful memories for us!

After swimming, they prepared snacks and water for us, and we were grateful for it as we were craving hydration and salt! I would love to participate again when we visit Hawaii! Thank you very much!

日焼け防止の為にも絶対にオススメです。
水に入る前に、とても分かりやすくマスクとシュノーケルの使い方を説明していただき、水に入ってからも動き方を教えてくださったお陰で、6歳の息子も問題なく楽しむことができました。
また水中写真も沢山撮ってくださって、とても素敵な想い出になりました♪
泳ぎ終わったあと、スナックとお水を用意してくださっていて、水分&塩分を欲していた私たちはありがたくいただきました！

This was our first experience with snorkeling...but I was convinced that we could not go to Oahu and not see the ocean life for ourselves. Dan and Cheiko were great.

We paid for a group of 5 (3 adult, 2 children). We had to pay the full price to have my grandmother brought along, even though she was not participating. With that said it was suppose to be just our small group to the two guides. This was especially important to me as the two children could swim and the adults in our group could NOT swim well. It turned out two others joined us, so Chieko was mostly their guide and Dan was with the four of us. It was raining that day, so my grandmother was not able to come observe (so paid and not used). Although I was not expecting a refund for her experience necessarily, I was a little put off that we were then charged extra for the optional wet suits to keep us warm (given the weather that day). That really is the only thing I would improve, but given the nature of the business, that may be challenging.

Otherwise, it was FANTASTIC! Dan was amazingly patient and made the experience great. The children, although swimmers, panicked with the snorkel equipment and sea animals. The adult limited swimmers had a blast! Even on a dreary, rainy day. LOL! they took awesome pictures that we were easily able to download from their social media page, so one less thing to worry about doing especially given first time out. I would definitely recommend this experience no matter what skill level, it will not disappoint.

Excellent professional instruction for true beginner.Great guide in the water. We saw tons of fish. Lucky enough to have seen a sea turtle in early March. So glad I rented a wet suit.

I used the service in July 2016. Hanauma Bay was as beautiful as rumored, and the guide was friendly, with solid safety measures in place, making me feel secure and allowing me to relax and enjoy snorkeling. The life jackets were also comfortable to wear. Personally, I appreciated that many photos were taken, which was great, but I later realized that the system was to download the ones uploaded to Facebook, and since I didn't want to be featured, that was a bit unpleasant. Overall, I had a very good experience using the service.

Fantastic Family event

As a family of four, this was a fantastic experience with Blue Divers of Hawaii. Our trip in winter was a bit of a windy day. However, our guides had wet suits that we could rent for the snorkeling trip. Saved all of us on that chilly day. Guides were excellent with making everyone comfortable in their masks and keeping us together as a group. Best part was seeing the turtles and the small shark!!
