I was able to see a lot of different types of fish. Unfortunately, I didn't encounter any sea turtles. The coral reef wasn't as colorful as I had hoped, but the water clarity was high. On January 7th, the conditions were said to be the best of the year, and the waves were calm. However, my wife and children, who are not great with the ocean, ended up feeling seasick, possibly due to the wetsuits we rented for warmth, and they couldn't participate until the end. That said, I and the other participants were able to swim comfortably, so it should be fine unless you're really not good with the ocean.

When we were dropped off at Hilton Hawaiian Village, our tour guide Dan recommended some great lunch and dinner spots near the hotel. We went to both places right away, and they were both fantastic. My two kids were also very satisfied, thank you!

たくさん種類の魚を見ることができました。残念ながらウミガメには出会えず。珊瑚礁は色とりどりとまでは行きませんが、透明度は高かったです。１月７日は今年1番のコンディションということで波は穏やかでしたが、元々海が苦手な妻と子供は、寒さ対策のためレンタルしたウェットスーツが原因なのか酔ってしまい、最後までは参加できませんでした。ただ、私や他の参加者は楽に泳げていたので、よほど海が苦手でなければ大丈夫のはずです。
ヒルトンハワイアン ビレッジに送り届けてもらう際にツアーガイドのダンさんに、ホテル近くの美味しいランチ、ディナーのお店を教えていただき、早速たべに行ったところ、どちらの店も最高でした。２人の子供達も大満足でした、ありがとうございました。

On the way to Kailua, I felt lucky to see many rainbows. The bus was cold, so I think it's better to have a jacket.

In Kailua, I rented a bicycle and went to the beach. The water was cold and a bit chilly for this season, but many people were swimming. The snorkeling wasn't great, possibly because the spot wasn't good and the waves were big, so I couldn't see much.

After enjoying the ocean, I ran out of time to head towards Kailua Town, but there seemed to be buildings in the middle of both the town and the beach, making it easy to access either. There aren't many helmets available, so if you really want to wear one, I recommend securing it early.

The food was delicious too. It was a large pizza, so we shared it between two people. There were many Japanese staff members who were friendly and easy to talk to. Next time, I want to try kayaking as well.

カイルアへの移動中に虹がたくさん見られて得をした気分になりました。バスの中は寒いので、上着があったほうがいいと思います。

カイルアでは、自転車を借りて海まで行きました。
この季節は水が冷たく少し寒いくらいでしたが、たくさんの人が泳いでいました。シュノーケリングは場所がよくなかったのか、波も大きくあまりよく見えなかったです。

海を満喫したらカイルアタウンのほうまで行く時間が無くなってしまいましたが、町と海の真ん中くらいに建物があるのでどちらも行きやすそうでした。
ヘルメットはあまり数がないので、どうしても被りたい場合は早めに確保するのをおススメします。

食事もおいしかったです。大きいピザだったので、2人で分けて食べました。
日本人スタッフの方も多く、気さくで話しやすかったです。今度はカヤックなどもしてみたいです。

Dan's an experienced guide for us first timers. They provide rx lenses for masks. The weather was just perfect. But I was just too seasick to swim further to see more fish :(

Fortunately, I was able to encounter a sea turtle! I also got to swim alongside a large school of fish, making it an unforgettable experience.

ラッキーなことにウミガメに遭遇することができました！魚の大群とも一緒に泳ぐことができ、忘れられない経験になりました。

Two guides accompanied the nine participants. The guides carefully observed the overall condition of the participants while searching for sea turtles. Thanks to their solid support, even I, who cannot swim, was able to participate until the end without dropping out. I was worried about the cold due to my slim build, but I rented a wetsuit, so I managed to endure it (though I was shivering in the second half). I was able to see cute sea turtles, which became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

ガイドさんはウミガメを探しながらも参加者全体の様子をよく観察しています。
しっかりとしたサポートのおかげで泳げない私でも脱落することなく最後まで参加できました。
痩せ型のため寒さを心配していたのですがウェットスーツをレンタルしたのでなんとか耐えられました。（後半は体が震えていましたが）
可愛いウミガメを見ることができてとてもいい思い出になりました。

My son was SUPER excited to go snorkeling so we booked a day through Veltra. Our driver showed up within 5 minutes of our pickup time (a feat with traffic) and got us going. He was very personable and helpful in getting us our equipment. We had an AMAZING day at Hanauma Bay (reef-safe sunblock only, people!) He was right on time for our pickup and turned on the AC so we could sit comfortably while waiting for the rest of the guests to return. We had a great amount of time to be in the water and had so much fun! My son got an acceptance call to the first choice college while we were waiting. Our driver said Congrats and even again as we were getting out of the van. It
was a fabulous day.

There was one guide for five participants, and it seemed that my friend, who is not good at swimming, as well as the other participants, were all new to snorkeling. The guide taught us carefully, which made me feel at ease. There were plenty of fish, and we were able to see a sea turtle, so I was very satisfied!

お魚もたくさんいましたし、ウミガメも見ることができて、すごく満足でした！

The sea on the day was in optimal condition for snorkeling, but unfortunately, due to the high tide, the visibility was lacking, and I couldn't see the fish clearly. I only spotted one small turtle. This is just a natural phenomenon, so there's nothing that can be done about it. However, there were many positives, such as the preparation of equipment, thorough explanations, and not having to wait to get to the beach. The staff worked hard to help participants enjoy the experience by searching for fish and turtles, and I am very grateful for that. I think it's perfect for beginners. Thank you to the staff for your support.

当日の海はシュノーケルには最適な状態だったのですが残念ながら満ち潮だったため透明度にかけていてキレイにお魚を見ることはできませんでした。
亀さんも1匹小さい子が見えただけでした。
こればかりは自然現象なので仕方ないですね。
でも道具の用意や丁寧な説明、待たずに海岸まで行けるなどいいことも沢山あります。
そしてスタッフの方々は参加者が楽しめるように一生懸命お魚や亀さんを探してくださり感謝でいっぱいです。
初心者には最適だと思います。

I was picked up at the hotel by the cheerful voice of Chieko-san in the morning, and we set off.
I was a bit anxious about snorkeling since it had been a while, but as soon as I saw the beautiful blue bay below, my excitement soared!
After watching the video, I changed into my wetsuit and headed straight into the water.
At first, the seawater felt a bit chilly, but I quickly got used to it.
During the practice phase of putting on the snorkel, colorful tropical fish swam right in front of me.
I even saw the humuhumunukunukuapua'a that I had learned about!
Excitedly following Dan-san, who was leading the way, I noticed a honu swimming right beside me as we approached the second half of our adventure!
It glanced over at me and swam slowly, which was so moving!
When we got back to the beach, I was surprised to see a monk seal lounging and napping.
The thrilling morning came to an end, leaving me with a pleasant sense of fatigue.
Thanks to the wonderful pair of Chieko-san and Dan-san, I created some truly precious and fun memories this time.

朝からチエコさんの元気な声でホテルにてピックアップしてもらい出発～
久々のシュノーケリングで少々不安もあったのですが、眼下に広がる美しい青い湾を見た途端にテンションはアップ！
ビデオを観てからウエットスーツに着替えてさっそく海の中へ
最初は海水がひやっと感じたけどすぐに慣れました。
シュノーケルの装着の練習段階で目の前をカラフルな熱帯魚たちがたくさん
教えていただいたフムフムヌクヌクアプアアもいる～
わくわくしながら先頭を行くダンさんの後をついていくと、後半にさしかかるころに気づいたらホヌがすぐ横を泳いでました！
横目でチラッとこちらを見て、ゆっくり水をかいで泳ぐ姿に感動～☆
ビーチに上がるとなんとアザラシ（モンクシール）がゴロンと昼寝をしててびっくり
興奮しまくりの午前中が終わり、ほどよい疲労感が心地よかったです。
この度はチエコさんとダンさんのナイスペアのおかげで大変貴重な楽しい思い出ができました

It was my first snorkeling experience, and the instructor was very kind and explained everything in detail, so I really enjoyed it. I would love to participate again when I come to Hawaii.

Kailua Beach had bigger waves than I expected, so it wasn't suitable for snorkeling, but I enjoyed boogie boarding instead! Lunch is included, and you can choose between a pizza place or a plate lunch. The kids chose pizza, and it was huge! The plate lunch is a mini size, but I think it's just the right size.

カイルアビーチは思ったより波が大きくて、スノーケル向けではなかったですが、ブギーボードも借りれたのでそっちを満喫しました！ランチ付きとなってますが、ピザ屋かプレート屋と選択出来て、子供達はピザにしましたがデカかったです！プレートはミニサイズですが、丁度良いサイズかと思います。

What an awesome snorkeling experience from start to finish. Dan is not only friendly and experienced, he also made me feel calm and safe at all times. The hour guided snorkeling was breathtaking because of Dan’s knowledge of Hanauma Bay and the amazing photos he took for us. A priceless memory!

This is my second time using this service.
Since it was low tide, I was able to see the fish clearly and even encountered a sea turtle, which was lucky.

The staff was kind and attentive. I got a bit seasick, but I was able to see sea turtles, and it was a lot of fun! 😊

I had a great time with a small group. The explanation on how to use the snorkel was thorough, and I didn't encounter any difficulties along the way. I was also satisfied to see turtles up close.

少人数で非常に楽しめました。シュノーケルの使い方の説明も丁寧で途中で困ることもありませんでした。
近くでカメを見ることもでき満足です。

Good points:
There were two guides, a Japanese guide and a local guide. They provided detailed support, which allowed me to enjoy the experience without any worries. I received all the photos taken on the day via Facebook.

Bad points:
The sea was a bit rough, so we could only swim in the lagoon, and the water wasn't very clear. Since we had a guide, I wished we could have gone closer to the beautiful open sea. (There were children participating, so I hope for more advanced support for intermediate to advanced swimmers.) There was hardly any time to relax on the beach.

日本人ガイド＋現地人ガイドの２人で催行。きめ細かいフォローをしてくれたので、不安なく楽しめた。
当日撮った写真は全部FB経由で貰える。

悪い点
海が少し荒れていたのか、ラグーンの中でしか泳げず水中があまり綺麗ではなかった。せっかくガイド付きなので、綺麗な外海近くまでは行って欲しかった。（子ずれも参加していて一緒に泳ぐ形だったので、中上級者向けのフォローアップを望む）
ビーチでゆっくりする時間がほとんどなかった。

This was my first time snorkelling, so, although I love to swim, was a bit apprehensive about the mask and snorkel. Both guides were great. Pick up on time, lots of interesting information along the drive, friendly, professional and took care of safety. Explained everything well. I had difficulty with the breathing bit and they were very helpful and calming.

We participated as a couple with our 9-year-old child. It was everyone's first time snorkeling, but thanks to Chieko, we were able to participate smoothly, both kids and adults. We swam across Hanauma Bay for about an hour, but I think it's better for slim people and children to rent wetsuits, as the body gets colder than expected. Also, for those who are prone to seasickness, it's reassuring to take motion sickness medication. We got to see beautiful tropical fish and even a turtle, which made for the best memories! I would love to participate again when we come back to Hawaii. Thank you very much! 😊

夫婦と9歳の子供1人で参加させて頂きました。
シュノーケリングは全員初めてでしたが、ちえこさんに色々教えて頂き、子供も大人もスムーズに参加することができました。
約1時間程ハナウマ湾を横断する感じで泳ぎますが、痩せ型の人や子供さんはウェットスーツを借りた方がよろしいかと思います。思ったより体が冷えてきますので。。それから、波に酔いやすい人は酔い止めを飲んだ方が安心です。
綺麗な熱帯魚、そしてカメにも会えて最高の思い出になりました！
またハワイに来た際には参加したいと思います。

I signed up because a honu appeared in the image, but I couldn't actually encounter one. I ended up just splashing around in the shallow waters while snorkeling, which was a bit disappointing. However, the staff were very kind. I think this tour is suitable for snorkeling beginners.

画像にホヌが現れたので思わず申し込みましたが実際には遭遇できず。浅瀬でチャプチャプのシュノーケリングに終始し少しがっかり。でもスタッフの皆さんはとても親切でした。シュノーケル初心者には適したツアーだと思います。

I participated with my mother, and we had a thorough lecture on how to snorkel, which made it enjoyable! We encountered many small fish up close, and they were so beautiful. It would have been even better if we had met a turtle too!

They were very kind, providing transportation to the hotel and sharing recommended spots during the journey! Also, everything was explained in Japanese, which was reassuring! My friend, who said they definitely couldn't swim, was able to swim just fine! They took a lot of photos underwater too! We even got to see turtles, and I was very satisfied! I'm glad I chose this tour!

I rented a bicycle and took my snorkeling gear and mat to Lanikai Beach. I had planned to go to Kailua Town in the afternoon, but the highly praised pizza from the reviews was so delicious that I got full and decided to relax at Lanikai Beach for the rest of the afternoon.

I usually viewed Hanauma Bay from above, but this time I took the shuttle down to go snorkeling. I wondered what kind of fish I would meet. I had a little experience with snorkeling before, but this was my first time with fins. The instructors, Chieko and Dan, taught me how to snorkel very well, so I understood it in my head. Hmm, in practice… It took me a little while to get used to turning around, how to clear the water from my mask, and how to move my fins, but I was encouraged by the fish that kept appearing underwater, and I was able to enjoy snorkeling thoroughly. Towards the end, Dan found a sea turtle. It seemed to be leisurely eating. After its meal, it swam right by me without any fear. I was amazed and thrilled to see a sea turtle so close. I'm really glad I participated in this tour. I teamed up with my husband, but we couldn't swim together very well, and I ended up being guided by Chieko the whole time. Thank you for your help. Thanks to you, I was able to enjoy snorkeling with peace of mind. If I want to go snorkeling again, I will definitely join this tour. Thank you very much.

いつもは上から眺めていたハナウマベイでしたが、今回はシュノーケルをするためにシャトルで降りていきました。　どんな魚たちに会えるかな？　以前少しシュノーケルを体験したことがありましたが、足ヒレをつける本格的なのは初めてです。インストラクターのちえ子さんとダンさんがシュノーケルの仕方を要領よく教えてくださるので、頭ではよく分かりました。　う～ん、実践では…　方向転換の仕方、メガネの中に入った水の抜き方、ヒレの動かし方など慣れるのには少しかかりましたが、次々、水中に現れる魚たちに励まされながら、たっぷりシュノーケルを楽しむことができました。最後の方で、ダンさんがウミガメを見つけてくださいました。のんびりとお食事中のようでした。食後は、私のすぐ近くを、恐れもせず悠々と泳いで行きました。こんなに近くでウミガメが見られるなんて…驚きと感激でした。このツアーに参加してホント良かったです。一緒に参加した夫とバディーを組んだのですが、なかなか一緒に泳ぐことができず、ずっとちえ子さんに手を引いていただくことになりました。お世話になりました。お陰様で、安心してシュノーケルを楽しむことができました。また、シュノーケルをしたくなったら絶対このツアーに参加します。有難うございました。

This is my second time participating. I had a great time when I participated the year before last, so I appreciate it again. This time, I encountered a seal breathing right in front of me, and for a moment, I didn't know what was happening. Chieko told me I was really lucky, and I understood that later. 一昨年、参加させていただいてとても楽しかったので、また、お世話になりました。
今回は、何と、目の前で息を吸っているアザラシに遭遇し、一瞬、何が起こっているのか分からなかったです。チエコさんに、本当にラッキーですよ、と言われて、後から納得した次第です。家族ともども、十分に堪能いたしました。

This was the most beautiful place ever. The kids really enjoyed the snorkelling here, lots of beautiful fish to see. The online booking process was simple and price was very affordable. Our driver was friendly and explained how to use the equipment. Pickup and drop off was on time. Highly recommend! Will be back to do this again!

I had a great time. After the tour, I was often asked for tips, but this tour not only provided a lot of fun but also offered free photos to upload on Facebook! Finally, in the car that took me back to the hotel, they shared various interesting stories without asking for any tips at all. It's a really good tour company.

結構ツアー参加後に、チップを要求されることが多かったのですが、このツアーはいっぱい楽しませた上に、写真まで無料にfacebookにアップしてくれます！最後に、ホテルまで送ってくれた車の中で、いろんな面白い話をしてくれながら、チップを一切要求しませんでした。

I was able to fully enjoy Kailua Town, Kailua Beach, and Lanikai Beach all at once. It was great that I could bike around. The Bob's Pizza I had with the lunch voucher was also very delicious. I had plenty of time and was very satisfied!

カイルアタウン、カイルアビーチ、ラニカイビーチと一度に全てを満喫できました。自転車を使って行き来できたのもとても良かったです。ランチ券でいただいたボブズピッザもとても美味しかったです(^^)

This was my first time snorkeling in Hawaii. The weather was the best it had been during our stay, and since it was an afternoon tour, it wasn't cold at all—the timing was perfect! My wife, who can't swim, was able to glide through the water for an hour of snorkeling with the help of a life jacket and fins, thanks to Chieko's clear explanations and teaching style. We were amazed by the colorful small fish and schools of large parrotfish and ladyfish right in front of us. At one point, Dan called us over, and we saw a sea turtle up close. It was my first time seeing a sea turtle at such a reachable distance, and I was truly moved. I think this was the best snorkeling experience I've ever had. Although I couldn't take good pictures with my underwater camera, I was really glad to be able to download photos from Dan's Facebook. Thank you for a wonderful time that I could get lost in. Next time, I plan to join this tour again with my daughter and her husband and my grandchildren.

ハワイでのシュノーケリングは初めてでした。
滞在中で一番良い天気だったことと、午後からのツアーだったので寒くもなく、タイミングはバッチリでした！
泳げない妻もライフジャケットとフィンをつけて、ちえこさんのわかりやすい説明と教え方で１時間のシュノーケリングをスイスイと泳ぐこと出来てびっくりでした。
目の前を色とりどりの小魚や大きなアオブダイやレディーフィッシュの群れ…
途中でダンさんに呼ばれて近くまで行くと海ガメがいました。
手の届くような距離で海ガメを見るのは初めてで本当に感動しました。
今まで体験したシュノーケリングで一番良かったと思います。
持参した水中カメラも上手く写せなかったのですが、ダンさんのFBで写真もダウンロードさせてもらえて本当に良かったです。
夢中になれる素敵な時間をありがとうございました。
次回は娘夫婦や孫たちと一緒にまたこのツアーに参加しようと思います。

We had Awesome time Snorkeling. The fish were beautiful and very colorful. Dan was very patient with me. He is a great instructor. Hawaii was absolutely Gorgeous!
