While following Chieko and Dan, looking at many fish one after another, I realized that I had swum quite a distance without even noticing. Although we usually feel our lack of stamina, thanks to the friendly and kind nature of the two of them, who held our hands along the way, we were able to enjoy ourselves and feel safe until the end. I'm really glad we chose this course. Thank you very much.

たくさんのお魚を、次から次へと見ながら、ちえこさん、ダンさんについて行くうちに、いつのまにかたくさんの距離を泳げていました。
体力のなさを日頃から痛感している私たちでしたが、途中から手を繋いでくださったり、気さくで優しいお2人のおかげで、最後まで楽しく安心して過ごせました。

What an awesome experience I got to share with my son for his 18th birthday. The guide's, Dan and his wife were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth the money. I would highly recommend.

I participated on the 16th. Thank you to the instructor, Chieko, who searched for us when we made a mistake about the meeting place. I’m really sorry for the trouble. I was also happy that you pulled my hand when I got tired and swam with me in the coral sea until the very end. Thanks to you, I was able to swim with the fish for a full hour underwater. You also took photos of us snorkeling in the beautiful Hanauma Bay, which was a great help since we didn’t have to carry a camera. There were so many beautiful fish of various kinds. They came close and seemed very accustomed to people. I wished I could have swum a little longer. When we got back to the beach, you had prepared cold water and snacks, which was a wonderful break and very delicious. Thank you very much. I would like to go again, so I hope to see you then.

First time in Hawaii and snorkeling for me; overall, it was a fun experience! Saw lots of colorful fishes and coral. The guide also made it easy to understand and use the equipment - and soon, everyone was snorkeling in no time. The group is small so you don't have to worry about there being too large of a crowd to be able to follow the guide. Great value and experience - highly recommended for anyone who is completely new to snorkeling and Hanauma Bay!

I participated in the tour on the morning of May 10th. I was initially anxious as I was with my 65-year-old mother, but Chieko took great care of us, which was very helpful. We saw many types of fish underwater and even encountered a Hawaiian monk seal resting on the beach! It was an incredibly fulfilling experience. There were also very friendly cats and mongooses on the beach. The mongooses seemed to be a nuisance, rummaging through trash and stealing food, but they are a rare sight for Japanese people, so it was fun to see them. It seems like it became a good memory for my mother as well, and I am grateful for that.

As for advice for those who will participate, I haven't been there in the midsummer, so I can't say, but in spring and autumn, the sea is still cold. I saw the locals swimming comfortably in swimsuits, but we couldn't enjoy it the same way. Perhaps our tolerance to cold is different. It's a shame not to enjoy the beautiful sea because of the cold. I strongly recommend renting a wetsuit. The guide will choose one that fits you. From my previous experience, I knew it would be cold, so I brought my own short wetsuit, but I later thought I should have rented a full suit. Even the short wetsuit took up a lot of space in my suitcase, and my legs weren't protected, which is important since you swim over shallow areas with coral to avoid injuries.

You can leave your valuables and luggage behind, and I recommend not taking anything into the water. If you do bring something, a sturdy underwater camera would be ideal. I brought my waterproof smartphone in the zippered pocket of my swimsuit, but after about four years of use, it short-circuited and became unusable. After that, I had to go sightseeing without my smartphone. Luckily, my mother had hers, but I ended up changing my phone model when I returned home.

5月10日の午前中のツアーに参加させて頂きました。
65歳の母親と一緒で最初は不安もありましたが、Chiekoさんが面倒を見てくれたので、とても助かりました。
水中ではたくさんの種類の魚が見れ、砂浜で寝ているハワイアンシーモンクにも出会えました！
非常に充実した体験でした。
浜にはとても人懐こいネコと、マングースなんかもいました。
マングースはそこではごみ箱を漁ったり食物をかっぱらっていく害獣のような存在のようですが、日本人にとっては珍しい生き物で、見れて楽しかったです。
母親にとっても良い思い出になったようで、感謝しています。

これから参加する人へのアドバイスですが、
真夏は来た事がないのでわかりませんが、春秋はまだ海が冷たいです。
向こうの皆さんは平気で水着で泳いでいるのを見ますが、我々は彼らと同じ調子では楽しめません。寒さに対する耐性が違うのでしょうか。
寒さでせっかくの海が楽しめないのはもったいないです。
ウェットスーツのレンタルを強く推奨します。ガイドさんがその人に合った物を選んでくれます。
自分は以前の体験から寒い事を知り、タッパーを自前で用意して行きましたが、フルスーツをレンタルすれば良かったと後から思いました。
上だけのタッパーですらスーツケースに入れると嵩張りましたし、足が保護されないので。浅い場所でサンゴの上を泳ぐので怪我防止にもなります。

貴重品や荷物は預けられます、海の中には何も持って行かない事をお勧めします。持っていくなら丈夫な水中カメラ位でしょうか、自分は防水仕様のスマホを水着のチャック付きポケットに入れて持ち込みましたが、４年程使っており経年劣化していたのか、見事にショートしお釈迦になりました。その後はスマホなしの不便な観光を強いられました。母のスマホがあったのでまだ良かったですが、帰国後はその日に機種変更です。

I booked the Kailua Beach tour again this year. Last year, I signed up for stand-up paddleboarding, but this year we decided to relax on the beach, so we opted for the beach items and lunch package. We rented bikes on-site and first cycled to Lanikai Beach; the view from the high point was amazing, and the breeze felt great. After that, we relaxed at Kailua Beach until lunchtime! For lunch, we had pizza recommended by the local staff! The size was surprising. The taste was quite good too! After lunch, we cycled towards the town. Last year, we got pancakes to-go from Boots & Kimo's (takeout is quick and recommended by the local staff), but this year we ate crepes at Crepes No Ka Oi next door. The crepes here were also quite filling. Kailua is a very pleasant town to bike through.

昨年に引き続きカイルア・ビーチツアーを申し込みました。昨年はスタンドアップパドルを申し込みましたが、今年はビーチでゆっくりしようということになりビーチアイテム＆ランチ付きにしました。現地で追加で自転車を借り、まずはラニカイ・ビーチまでサイクリング、高台からの景色は最高で、風も気持ち良かったです。その後、カイルア・ビーチでお昼までゆっくり！！お昼は現地スタッフおすすめのピザを！！大きさにびっくりします。味もなかなか！！昼食後は、街に向けてサイクリング、昨年はブーツ＆キモズでパンケーキをテイクアウト（テイクアウトは時間がかからず、現地スタッフおすすめ）しましたが、今年はその横のクレープ・ノ・カ・オイでクレープを食べてきました。ここのクレープもなかなかボリュームありました。カイルアは、自転車で走るととても気持ちの良い街です。

Dan was an awesome guide. Once he picked us up he gave us lots of little facts about Honolulu in general as we drove out. He was also very knowledgeable in answering our questions.

I liked that it was such a small group and felt that we all got some one on one time with the instructor as we needed.

Overall it was an amazing day and an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

Our guides were really patient and very good at what they do. Not only do they make the whole gearing up and organizing details easy they taught my 6 year old daughter to snorkel and she actually did it! She is shy and was refusing for weeks, telling me she would not snorkel and I was quite prepared to sit on the beach with her but they wasted no time in teaching her directly 1 on 1 and getting her to put her face in the water while I got to snorkel close by. It was really great and she loved it, I loved it and the rest of the family did too. We saw beautiful fish and spent the time all pointing at things and saying "look" under water. A great day! Thank you so much!

My husband and I participated together. The tour had a small group of seven people, including us, with support from Chieko and Dan (who speaks fluent Japanese). During the journey to Hanauma Bay, they shared various stories, making the trip enjoyable.

Once we arrived at Hanauma Bay, we smoothly bypassed the long line for individual tickets. We watched a video about the protection of Hanauma Bay, and it was quick to get through that as well. We really reached the beach efficiently.

As a first-time snorkeler, I was carefully taught how to wear the mask and how to clear water from it. Even after entering the water, they kept an eye on me, which made me feel very safe, and I was able to enjoy snorkeling a lot.

Depending on the sea conditions that day, they changed the swimming points to provide the best experience. On the day we participated, there was quite a low tide, so there were reportedly fewer fish. Dan also took underwater photos and pictures of us. I was grateful to see the beautiful fish again.

If I have the opportunity to visit Hawaii again, I would definitely like to bring my children and grandchildren along and participate again. This tour is highly recommended for beginners and children!

主人と二人で参加しました。ツアーも私たちを含めて7人の少人数で、チエコさんとダン（日本語ペラペラ）二人でのサポート体制。ハナウマ湾へ向かう道中も色々、お話をしてくれて、楽しみながら向かうことができました。
ハナウマ湾へ着いてからも、個人で来られている方の入場のチケットを買う長い列を横目に、スイスイ。ハナウマ湾保護のためのビデオを見るのですが、それもどこで見ると出るのが早い…等々。ほんとに効率よくビーチまで辿り着くことができました。
シュノーケリングが初めての私に丁寧にマスクの付け方や水の抜き方など教えて頂き、海に入ってからも、気にかけてくださり、とても安心して、シュノーケリングをとても楽しむことができました。
その日の海の状態で、泳ぐポイントを変えてその日のベストを提供していただきました。
私たちが参加した日は、かなりな引き潮でしたので、魚も少なかったらしいです。
ダンが水中の写真や私たちの写真も撮ってくれました。改めて綺麗な魚たちも見ることができ、感謝です。
またハワイを訪れる機会があれば、次は子供たちや孫たちも連れて、是非是非参加したいと思います。
初心者や子どもさんにもほんとにおすすめのツアーです！

We were really looking for a beginner experience as most of us weren't strong swimmers. Half of us didn't finish the entire activity as we got easily tired and unfortunately didn't see any turtles. It was a good experience though and something worth doing/trying at least once.

We were all beginners at swimming and snorkeling but had a good time. The underwater photos and video was a good keepsake for our family.

It took a while to get used to the snorkel but a good experience nonetheless.

It was a perfect day. Nice and Sunny, but not too hot. We saw 2 turtles and loads of fish. Guide Dan was very helpful for those in our group, who were true beginners or having trouble with their masks or other issues.
Would highly recommend them.

Thank you so much for everything the other day (^ - ^) Thanks to Teacher Chieko, my whole family was able to enjoy ourselves (^_^)v I was particularly worried about my 9-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter, but the teacher was very kind and provided a lot of support. We were lucky to see the turtle eating, and even got to take pictures together as it came up to the surface☆ We also saw various kinds of fish, which were really beautiful (^_^)/~~

At first, we didn't plan to rent wetsuits, but the teacher advised us that it would be cold, so we decided to rent them. The kids seemed to feel cold later on, so I really think it was a good decision to rent them.

The teacher was very friendly and shared a lot about Hawaii and Japan.

This trip to Hawaii has truly become our most wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

ちえこ先生のおかげで家族みんなが楽しむことができました(^_^)v特に９才の息子と６才の娘が大丈夫かなぁと心配していたのですが、先生がとっても優しくて、色々フォローしてくださいました。娘はすっかり先生になついてしまいました(^.^)

カメが食事しているところを見れて、おまけに水面まであがってきてくれて一緒に写真もとってもらえてラッキーでした☆色々な種類の魚も見れてすごくきれいでした(^_^)/~~

最初はウエットスーツは借りる予定はなかったのですが、先生が寒いよと教えてくださって借りました。こどもは後半寒かったみたいなので、本当に借りてよかったなぁと思います。

先生はすごく気さくな方で、ハワイのことや日本のお話も色々してくださいました。

ハワイの旅行の中で、やっぱり一番のステキな思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。

It was my first snorkeling experience. I was a bit anxious, but since it was a small group, I felt well taken care of and truly enjoyed it! The instructor was kind and knowledgeable, and I definitely want to go again!

Cheiko, who came to pick us up at the hotel, was very cheerful and pleasant, which made us feel very reassured at that point.

Once we arrived at Hanauma Bay, they kindly helped us with the rental of fins and wetsuits, how to change, and the use of masks. It took me a little time to get used to breathing through my mouth, but with Dan leading the way and Cheiko at the back, I felt very safe. They also adjusted the snorkeling route based on the day's bay conditions, prioritizing safety, which I appreciated.

Although we couldn't see any sea turtles due to the low tide, we were able to see many beautiful tropical fish, which was truly moving. Dan took photos of both people and fish with a GoPro and uploaded them to Facebook two days later, so participants didn't need to bring their own cameras or smartphones.

The sea and the fish were very beautiful, and we had a truly wonderful time. I also appreciated the water and snack service after the tour, as well as the transportation back to our accommodation.

If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would love to join their tour again. Thank you very much, Cheiko and Dan!

宿泊先のホテルに迎え来てくださったチエコさんがとても明るくて感じのいい方で、この時点でとても安心できました。
ハナウマ湾に着いてからは、フィンやウエットスーツの貸し出し、着替え方、マスクの着用などもとても親切にしてくださいました。
口呼吸に慣れるまでに少し時間がかかりましたが、ダンさんが先頭、最後尾をチエコさんで守ってくださるので、とても安心でした。その日の湾のコンディションで臨機応変にシュノーケリングルートを変えるようで、安全第一に判断してくださるのもありがたかったです。
引き潮で、ウミガメは見られませんでしたが、きれいな熱帯魚をたくさん見ることができ、感動しました。ダンさんがGoProで人も魚も撮影をしてくださって、翌々日にFacebookでアップしてくださったので、参加者は無理にカメラやスマホを持ち込まなくても大丈夫です。
海も魚もとてもきれいで、本当に素敵な時間を過ごすことができました。
終わってからのお水・スナックサービス、宿泊先までの送りサービスもありがたかったです。
またハワイに行くことがあったら、またお二人のツアーに参加したいです。チエコさん、ダンさん、どうもありがとうございました！

The day before was chilly and cloudy, but on the day itself, it was clear from the morning! The sea below, viewed from the parking lot, was a deeper blue and emerald green than in the guidebook! Everyone except for me, who participated alone, was experiencing snorkeling for the first time. While I watched the crowd walking down to the beach, I quickly took the trolley to the coast. The highly anticipated Hanauma Bay had excellent visibility, and I encountered a variety of fish as soon as I entered from the beach. There were large parrotfish, blue wrasse, schools of surgeonfish, swarms of yellow butterflyfish, and finally, the turtle I had been hoping to see... I swam the longest distance ever. The first-timers were swimming faster than I was, and I ended up exhausted at the end... but I had a wonderful snorkeling experience. According to the guide, the conditions were exceptional and only occur a few times a year. Indeed, having a guide show you the best spots for the day leads to a highly satisfying experience. I'm grateful!☆

前日まで肌寒く曇天でしたが、当日は朝から快晴！駐車場から眺める眼下の海はガイドブックより深いブルーとエメラルドグリーン！！一人参加の私以外はシュノーケル初体験の方ばかりでした。ゾロゾロと歩いて海岸へ降りていく人の波をしり目にトロリーで素早く海岸へ。楽しみにしていたハナウマ湾は、透明度が高く、ビーチから入ってすぐに多種多様な魚に出会えました。大きめなブダイ、アオヤガラ、ハギの大群、黄色いチョウチョウウオの群れ、最後にはお目当てのカメ…今迄で一番長距離を泳ぎ続けました。初体験の方達の方が、泳ぐのが早く、私は最後ヘロヘロ…でも、とっても気持ちの良いシュノーケルが出来ました。ガイドの方のお話では、一年に何度かしかない程の好条件だったそうです。やはり、ガイドの方にその日に合った場所を案内してもらうと満足度の高い体験が出来ますね。感謝です☆

A trip to Hawaii to celebrate my son's coming of age. It was my first time snorkeling, but thanks to the kind guidance of Dan and Chieko, I had a great time and even got to see a turtle, which made for wonderful memories! I was able to keep up thanks to both of you! Thank you very much. I look forward to seeing you again when I visit Hawaii! (^ ^)

I do this activity every time i come to Oahu. Next time i come in, i will do this activity twice. One day i will do my normal thing using the bicycle to the secluded area i found my first year there and relax. Unfortunately this year was a bit overcast, which i blame on the volcanic disruptions from the big island. Second day i want to use a kayak to the Mokulua islands. Staff and service is great!

I visited Kailua, Lanikai Beach, and Kailua Town! Renting a bike costs an additional $10, but I think it's worth it to get around in a limited amount of time! The Japanese staff kindly shared information about the town, suggesting that takeout from Boots & Kimo's is better and telling me about shops that only locals know, which helped me navigate efficiently. Also, I was happy that lunch was included ❤︎ The recommended pizza was really delicious! If I have the chance to go again, I would definitely participate once more!

自転車はプラス$10かかりますが借りた方が限られた時間の中で周ることができると思います！日本人のスタッフの方が丁寧に町のことを教えてくれ、ブーツアンドキモズはテイクアウトの方がいいよとかこんなお店あるよとか現地の人しか知らない知識をきけて順序よく周れました
あと、ランチ付きは嬉しい❤︎オススメのピザはめっちゃ美味しかったです！

We had so much fun! It was our first time and we cant wait to go back! Our instructor was so nice and he took his time and showed us everything. We seen lots of fish and a couple turtles

Second time I have used this tour to get to and from Hanauma Bay. Especially a great value if you already have your own snorkeling equipment as you can take the price down a few dollars without equipment rental.

Go first thing in the morning and be ready to get into the water by 8am or earlier. That way you can snorkel without the crowds until the circus arrives around 10am. By then I had already gotten 2 full hours of relatively unspoiled pics of all that I wanted to take and enjoyed lounging on the beach until the pickup time.

I participated with my mother. The guide stayed close to my mother, who had trouble with her breathing technique, which allowed both of us to enjoy snorkeling with peace of mind. The guide was very knowledgeable about the fish spots, so we were able to see a variety of fish efficiently, which was great. The fish swam very close to us and were beautiful.

However, it happened to be a very cold day, so I gave it one star less. The tour itself was excellent.

母と二人で参加。上手く息継ぎできない母にずっとついてくださって、私も母も安心してシュノーケリングを楽しめました。魚のポイントもよくご存じなので、様々な種類の魚を効率よく見れて良かったです。魚もすぐ近くに泳いでいてとてもきれいでした。
たまたま、この日は非常に寒かったので星を一つとりました。ツアー自体は最高でした。

My sister and I signed up for the tour, and on the day of the tour, there were four participants including two foreigners. The weather was completely different from the rain the day before; it was clear and relatively warm. Although there weren't large schools of fish, we saw some swimming around, which was very enjoyable! Additionally, we miraculously encountered a sea turtle, which was incredibly moving :) According to our guide, it had been about a month since the last sighting…! I was so happy. The water temperature was cold even with a wetsuit, and it was a bit murky when diving, possibly due to the rain the day before, but I was very satisfied. Our guide, Chieko, was cheerful and friendly, making it a very enjoyable tour. Thank you!

姉妹2人でツアーに申し込み、当日は外国人2名も合わせて4名の参加でした。この日は前日の雨とは打って変わって快晴で比較的あたたかく、大群とはいきませんでしたがお魚さんもそこらで泳いでいてとても楽しかったです！また、奇跡的にウミガメにも遭遇でき、大変感動しました:) ガイドさんによれば1ヶ月ぶりぐらいだとか…！嬉しかったです。水温はウェットスーツを着ていても冷たく、前日の雨のせいか潜ると少し白んでいましたがとても満足です。ガイドのちえこさんも明るく気さくに話してくださりとても楽しいツアーになりましたありがとうございました！

My husband and I participated together. The weather in Honolulu wasn't great, so I was wondering how it would turn out, but Kailua was on the other side of the mountain, and the weather was perfect!

For an additional fee, we rented bikes and went to Lanikai Beach beyond Kailua Beach. It was unbelievably beautiful. The staff member helped us reserve pancakes from Boots & Kimo's, and even though it was takeout, we were able to eat without waiting in line! Shopping at Whole Foods Market and Target was also a breeze on the bike.

I was really happy that we stopped by Leonard's to have malasadas on the way back! Thank you very much.

ホノルルは天気が良くなく、どうなるかと思いましたが、カイルアは山の向こう側だったので、最高の天気でした！

別料金ですが自転車を借りてカイルアビーチの先のラニカイビーチまで行きました。びっくりするほど綺麗でした。
スタッフのお姉さんにブーツアンドギモスのパンケーキも予約して頂き、テイクアウトですが並ばずに食べられました！
Whole Foods Market、targetの買い物も自転車で楽々でした。

Our driver was amazing! He kept up a running commentary on all the best places to eat, names of plants, celebrity houses, the works. He was always willing to answer questions no matter how stupid they sounded. He gave up plenty of info on the area we would be snorkeling in and the best parts of the reef to visit. He unfortunately did not have a pair of prescription goggles that I could use (I forgot to mention when booking) but he let me know I could rent a pair at the bay to ensure that I could see all the wonders below the ocean. He also had underwater cameras for purchase which was a bonus!!!

10/10 I would totally book transportation to go snorkeling with this company again.

I participated with my child and mother, and I felt安心 because the guide took great care of us. We got out of the water first, but a couple who joined the same tour was able to see a sea turtle.
