Enjoyed it, it was nice. It's worth the money for the SUP and the kayaking. However, not the snorkeling.
Water is too murky for it.
I think it would be good to allow the swimmers to sign a release to not have to wear a life jacket. The area they give you to paddle and kayak on is limited and very close to the shore area.

It was my first time stand-up paddle surfing, and I was able to enjoy the blue sea of Kailua. When I got tired, I lay down on the board and took in the blue sea and blue sky, feeling like I had it all to myself. The sea was calm, and I was able to have fun right away, even as a beginner.

The meeting place is hard to find. If you're coming along the coast, you need to be careful or you might pass it by. Even if you arrive at 8:15 for the 8:15 meeting, the receptionist will ask you to wait, and you'll end up waiting until 8:30 when check-in starts. But all of that was okay because of the double rainbow I saw while walking there.

Surfing itself was a lot of fun. I knew about the photos from this review, but I was surprised when they suddenly asked me to pose without any prior notice. I signed up for a semi-private session, but it ended up being private, and I was able to catch many waves, which made me very satisfied.

During our time there, the instructor mentioned that the waves were unusually high, to the point of causing a wry smile, which made me really anxious about safety. However, the instructor provided excellent support by pulling the board to the surfing point so that we wouldn't drift away, making it easy for beginners like us to ride the waves. My fear quickly disappeared, and I found surfing to be easy and enjoyable!

It was my son's second private lesson, and he had a very kind and easy-to-understand instructor who spoke to him multiple times with gentleness. I also found the instructor to be very friendly and pleasant. Both of them were able to ride the waves almost perfectly, and we were very satisfied. The next day, I tried it alone and was able to ride successfully. I thought about surfing when I return to Japan, but since my neck hurts, it's difficult for an old man to do it for long periods... Ah, it was fun.

Perfect setup if you want to do North Shore, but Not sure what activities

My wife and I were staying in Waikiki for a week and everyone said we need to make a trip to the North Shore when on Oahu. We scoured Trip Advisor, Yelp and other Hawaii Adventure sites and this one looked appealing. Turns out to be a great deal if you are looking for transportation to the North Shore and a variety of options to choose from once you get there. We chose to snorkel in the mornng at Sharks Cove then spend an hour at Waimea Bay, then in the afternoon we did the SUP down the river in Halewia.
The tour is setup where they pick you up on a ~20 person bus from multiple Waikiki hotels, then up a narrated drive up to the North Shore which took about 1 1/2 hours all together. Sam was our host for the day and is awesome at his job. Very knowledgable, humourous and makes the tour a good time. Once you are there, you get to see the options for the day such as hanging at the beach of Waimea Bay, surfing, snorkeling, beach bike cruise, Waimea Botanical Gardens, stand up paddle boarding and probably a few others options that I am missing. There is no additional cost to do these unless you want to do more than two. If there was one draw back for the day, it was that we could have enjoyed a few more hours on the beach and shopping at the local surf shops there.
Overall, great trip and glad we did it!

Initially, I reserved without a guide, feeling a bit anxious. I hoped there would be availability on the day, but it was fully booked. However, the kayak guide Yasuyo was an incredibly funny person, so I decided to change my plans! Kayaking alone felt a bit lonely, but I had a great experience, so I'm glad I did it!

We participated as a couple. It was both my wife and my first time surfing, but we were taught with great care and attention, and I was able to stand on the board on my first try! The wind was weak and the waves were small that day, so we couldn't ride as much, but the instructor, Mr. Nelson, was very friendly, and we had a lot of enjoyable conversations. While waiting for the waves on the board, I felt happy floating and looking at the scenery of Waikiki. By the end, both of us were able to stand until the very end, and it was a wonderful experience. If our schedules allowed, we would have liked to do it again!

We experienced canoe surfing as a family of four. There are floatation devices attached like sidebars, making it safe for small children and the elderly. Since it's in Waikiki, it's convenient and refreshing, but the waves are small, so you won't get much thrill. After riding the waves twice, it's over, so it really ends in the blink of an eye. A photographer captures moments while surfing, but they didn't tell us where the photographer was, so we couldn't pose facing them. Therefore, the experience photos turned out to be a bit disappointing.

The concept is great. Transport is reliable, clean and on time. The tour guide, Harry, was entertaining and very friendly. The only thing we would suggest is that surfing be offered as one of the activities - it is after all what the area is best known for!

North Shore Beaches Surf Bus Tour with Driver Sam

Our family of 6 adults from Brisbane Australia loved this whole day tour. Our driver / tour guide Sam picked us up from our hotel on time, & drove safely. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about Oahu, and explained all the sights on the way to the North Shore - he make the entire trip an awesome experience. He gave us a drive by & quick stop at each of the available activities before we chose them, then dropped us all to our chosen areas. 3 of us chose bike riding along the famous surfing beaches where we could stop and have beach time as we liked; the other 3 the walk through the beautiful gardens to the waterfall. Though a lovely walk, it is quite a long one, for anyone older. If you want a swim at the Falls, take cash for a compulsory life jacket hire! From there we walked back to Waimea Bay beach for a swim until our bus pick up. Our next activity for 4 of us was SUP (stand up paddle boarding) and 2 did kayaking. We LOVED this time on the water and would have liked to have a bit less time on the morning activities and more time for the afternoon ones! After, we walked through the town and sampled the Shaved Ice and some delicious lunch before boarding the bus completely satisfied with our day. We did several different tours while in Waikiki, and this was BY FAR the very best for the sightseeing, and activities on offer, plus the freedom to have our own time was fantastic. We were REALLY impressed with Sam the driver & happy to tip him well for his outstanding service - he contributed in a big way to making it the best tour during our time in Hawaii. Thank you Sam! I would highly recommend this tour, well worth it and we have great memories of our day.

After the check-in at Kualoa Ranch we took a shuttle to Moli'i Fishpond deck. When crossing the fishpond on a floating boat make sure to have your camera ready! It's the best time to take pictures of the majestic mountain range. The scenery is incredible, you feel like you are in a movie!

Once on the other side, we started enjoying our day at this beautiful private beach with views from Chinaman's Hat and Kaneohe Bay. They have restrooms, changing rooms, fresh water shower, covered picnic tables and a staff member to help you if you need anything. Make sure to bring sunscreen and some snacks.

My brother and I spent the morning kayaking, snorkeling, stand up paddling and playing games. The staff took us on a quick Glass Bottom Boat ride and we spotted a lot of green sea turtles! After all those activities we were just relaxing in a hammock under a palm tree.

I will definitely come back to enjoy another relaxing day there!

I requested private lessons for my 10-year-old son. I was a bit worried since he doesn't understand much English, but the coach provided clear instruction in simple English, so he had no trouble at all. Being a child, he improved quickly, and although it might be a parent's bias, I felt he was able to ride the waves longer than the adults who were taking group lessons at the same time. It became a wonderful memory, and it seems he also found joy in experiencing a sport that other kids hadn't mastered yet. I plan to have him try again next time.

We had one instructor for three people. It was my second time surfing, while the other two were surfing for the first time. Waikiki Beach has gentle waves and is quite shallow, so even those who are not confident swimmers can feel safe. Most other surfing lessons are two hours long, and since I was exhausted from my previous surfing lesson, I decided to go with this one-hour option. The waves weren't very high, but everyone was able to ride at least three times for sure. I wonder if I could have ridden more? I felt a bit unsatisfied with just one hour, but the two beginners seemed quite tired after that hour. Next time, I want to try the two-hour course and challenge myself with slightly higher waves! After all, surfing in Hawaii is the best. I definitely want to surf again the next time I go to Hawaii!

You can easily debut in surfing at Waikiki Beach.

One hour may seem short at first glance, but it was sufficient. I think Waikiki is suitable for beginners since the waves are gentle. I participated in the morning lesson, which I recommend because it allows you to make the most of your day. After the lesson, I returned to the hotel, had lunch in Waikiki, joined another tour in the afternoon, and went shopping at night, making it a full day of fun.

By the way, the instructor had stayed in Japan, so he mixed in some Japanese during the explanations, which I think makes it easy for those who can't speak English to participate with confidence.

Thanks to the one-on-one lesson, I was able to ride the waves continuously, which was great.

most beautiful beach in the USA!!! I had such a great day. I really enjoyed stand up paddle boarding, it wasn't too difficult, anyone would be able to give it a go. it was gentle waves once you pass the crashing waves on the beach, I did go into the surf further out to catch some waves which was great fun!! I also stand up paddle boarded at Waikiki and this was sooo much better than Waikiki. better views, better wave conditions and better equipment. so so beautiful and such a great day. prob my fav activity during my holiday at hawaii.

Awesome time

This was a truly awesome experience. We had Sam as a driver and he was totally great. He navigated traffic well and all of his narrating was necessary, funny and enjoyable.
We had a slight problem in that we missed our pick up (oops!) but the company was helpful and told us where to go to get another pick up.
We did some bike riding in the morning, saw Pipeline and had a great time. In the afternoon we tried SUP and saw turtles! It was a fully awesome experience. So good getting out and SEEING the North Shore, not just taking pictures of it.

I was looking for beach activities that even a 3-year-old could participate in. Since it was suitable for children from 3 years old, we decided to join. My child was, of course, super excited, and so was Dad!! I really recommend it because even small children can enjoy it.

We gathered at 2:30 and arrived right on time, but after checking in, we had to wait for 30 minutes because there was still time until 3:00.

I felt that the meeting time was a bit too early. I actually wanted to go longboarding, but since there were no waves, we switched to paddle surfing. It wasn't particularly difficult, so my wife got the hang of it quickly and was paddling out into the ocean with enthusiasm! The guide only spoke English, but he was very fun and friendly. There is a Japanese staff member at the reception, so it's reassuring.

2時半集合で時間ぴったりに行ったが、受付後まだ時間があるので3時まで時間をつぶしておいてくださいと30分待ちぼうけ。

集合時間が少し早すぎる気がしました。
本当はロングボードをしたかったけれど、波がないのでパドルサーフィンに変更。

My husband and I were disappointed with the tour guide. We felt he had a attitude about him and really didn't want to be there. At times we thought he was being rude in his manor and attitude. We went on another tour and the guide was so different and really acted like he wanted to be there. It made a big difference on the tour and made it much more enjoyable. The tour itself was great, but it could of been a lot nicer if the guide was more interested in the people on his bus and what he was doing.

Due to local circumstances, I couldn't take lessons directly on the beach, so I took lessons at a surf shop and made my way to the beach on my own. I was really anxious, but at the water's edge, the guide was there to assist me, so I was able to safely head out to sea.

After that, it was incredibly fun, and we went to a deserted island, taking a break to paddle around before returning, which wrapped up the morning session. The second round was tough physically, so it was just right.

For lunch after stand-up paddleboarding, there were several dining options available, and the pizza from a place just next door was incredibly delicious. I would love to go back.

In the afternoon, we had the freedom to choose activities like snorkeling in Kailua or strolling around the town, which allowed me to adjust to my own pace, so that was great.

I would like to use this service again for activities in Kailua next time.

それからは、めちゃくちゃ楽しくて無人島まて行き、休憩がてらブラフラして帰ってくるコースで午前は終了しました。体力的に2週目はキツかったので、ちょうど良かったです。

Sup後の食事は用意されているご飯処がいくつかあり、ピザ数件隣のピザがめちゃくちゃ美味しかったです。また行きたいくらい。

午後はカイルアでシュノーケリングやカイルアの街を散歩等自由に選ばせてもらえたのたので、自分の状態に合わせられたので、良かったです。

また次回、カイルアでアクティビティする際は利用したいです。

After checking in, I was lent a rash guard and received a brief lecture on the beach about my position on the board, how to stand up, and how to use the paddle, before heading straight into the ocean for practice. At first, I was a bit stiff and hesitant to stand up from my knees due to fear, but once I managed to stand, it wasn't as scary anymore. However, when the board rocked with the waves, I braced my feet and lost my balance, falling into the sea! In a panic, I clung to the board and somehow managed to get back on it, but I realized I had let go of the paddle, which was floating about 2 meters away from me.

I was so far away from the instructor and my family that I couldn't even hear them, and I was at a loss without being able to retrieve the paddle. Fortunately, a photographer (who was also on a board and taking pictures nearby) noticed my situation and came back to help me get the paddle, which saved the day. Thank you very much!

When the board rocked with the waves, I learned to keep my knees soft instead of bracing my feet, allowing my whole body to absorb the movement, which helped me avoid falling.

I spent about an hour and a half going back and forth in a relatively calm area from in front of the Royal Hawaiian to near the Moana Surfrider, and just as I was starting to have fun, it was time to finish. For my first experience, it was quite enjoyable. The instructor spoke only in English.

インストラクターと家族とは声も届かないくらい離れてしまっていて、パドルを取ることも出来ないまま、途方に暮れていましたら、カメラマンの方（自身もボードに乗り近くで写真を撮ってくれる方）がその様子に気づいて、パドルを取りにそばまで戻ってきてくださり、事なきを得ました。ありがとうございました。
ボードが波で揺れた時は、足を踏ん張らずに膝を柔らかくして、身体全体で揺れを吸収するようにしましたら、落ちることも無くなりました。
１時間半ほどロイヤルハワイアンの前から隣のモアナサーフライダーの前の辺りまでの、割と穏やかな場所を何周かして、ようやく楽しくなってきたころに終了。初めてにしては十分楽しく事が出来ました。
インストラクターの方は英語のみでした。

Stand-up paddle スタンドアップパドル

It was easier to stand up than I thought. It had more buoyancy and was more stable than a longboard. It was a bit challenging to avoid swimmers and others doing stand-up paddleboarding, but I also got to see a HONU (turtle), which was fun.

This was a great tour. Our tour guy, I believe his name is Sam was very helpful and funny. Sam was also very knowledgeable and he made the tour a memorable experience for us. We like the fact that we get to plan out our activities and get to see couple places at North Shore. The only suggestion that we think can improve for the tour is the activities in the afternoon. There wasn't a lot of options in the afternoon activities like in the morning. Overall, we enjoyed the tour very much.

It was my first experience with paddle surfing. The guide couldn't speak Japanese, but I was able to enjoy the lesson without any problems. Standing up was more difficult than I expected, and I couldn't catch any waves, but I had a great time. I would like to try again.

I participated with a friend!

It was both of our first times surfing, and we were excited and nervous. The instructor didn't speak Japanese, which made me even more anxious about whether we would understand, but they taught us in slow and gentle English, so we were able to grasp everything.

We practiced on the beach and then headed into the ocean!

The instructor pushed us hard when the waves were good, and I was able to stand on the board and ride the wave on my first try! It was just exhilarating!

After that, the instructor sent us out alternately, which made me feel very secure.

Riding the waves was of course fun, but just floating on the board while waiting for our turns and the waves with my friend felt amazing!

An hour flew by, but by the end, my arms were at their limit, so one hour was just right for beginners.

One thing I definitely recommend is to use sunscreen!!! I don’t usually burn easily, so I didn’t apply much, but since we were lying face down in the water the whole time, my calves and the backs of my thighs got really burned! If you don’t want to get too much sun, please apply sunscreen generously on the back side.

I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

友達と2人で参加させて頂きました！

2人ともサーフィンをするのは初めてで、ワクワクドキドキ。。
先生は日本語を話せない方だったのでちゃんと分かるのか更にドキドキしましたが
英語がたいして分からない私達でも分かるように、ゆっくりと優しい英語で教えて頂けたのでちゃんと理解することが出来ました。

始めビーチで練習をしていざ海へ！！

先生が良い波の時におもいっきり押してくれるので、1回目でボードの上に立ち波に乗ることが出来ました！！
そりゃもう爽快のひと言！！！

その後も友達と交互に先生が送り出してくれるのでとても安心感がありました。

波に乗ってる時ももちろん面白かったのですが、
友達との順番待ちと波待ちの為にボードの上でプカプカ浮いて居るだけで最高に気持ち良かったです！！

あっという間の１時間
しかし、終わる頃には腕に限界がきていたので初心者には1時間がとてもちょうど良かったです。


ひとつ絶対にした方が良いと思うのは、とにかく日焼けどめです！！！
私はあまり日焼けに抵抗が無いので、そんなに塗っていなかったのですが、
なにせずっとうつ伏せで海に浮かんで居るわけですから、ふくらはぎ、太ももの裏側がものすごーーく焼けます！！
あまり焼けたく無いという方はこれでもかって言うくらい、裏側に日焼け止めを塗って下さい。


また機会があったら参加したいです。
