I so so so recommend the Surf Bus!! It was one of the best ways to see and experience North Shore! The driver was the best! He have great information and was so funny!! The paddle board was amazing, waterfall beautiful and the beach with snorkeling just awesome!! I recommend wearing water shoes as the rocks can be a little hard on your feet...(waterfall and snorkeling areas) Hands down best your we took!

I experienced this with my sister.

◎ Good points
- Many staff members speak Japanese
- I had never surfed before, but it was surprisingly easy to ride
- The ocean is incredibly beautiful
- I saw sea turtles!
- The lunch (PIZZA) was really delicious
- They took photos of us on the water and sent them all via email

◎ Bad points
- The locker room is small, very cold, and co-ed
- You have to carry the surfboard to the ocean yourself
(Moreover, after being guided initially, no one came with us, so we got lost!!!)
- There was little free time in the afternoon
- They dropped us off at the hotel on the way back, but the pickup was at a nearby hotel

Although I mentioned some bad points, overall it was really great!
I'm not sure if the price is cheap for what you get...
But I didn't have the impression that it was expensive.

I was worried because I'm not very good at swimming, but I didn't fall into the ocean, and I felt the waves and enjoyed the scenery on the board... it was very soothing!

Kailua is a popular spot among locals, so I'm really glad I went.
The ocean in Waikiki is also incredibly impressive, but this was even more beautiful and moving!!!

・サーフィンやったことなかったが、意外と簡単に乗れた
・海がとにかくキレイ
・ウミガメが見れた！
・ランチ（PIZZA）がすごく美味しい
・海の上で写真を撮ってくれ、E-mailで全部送ってくれた

◎悪かった点
・ロッカールームが狭い、すごく寒い、男女共同
・海まで自分でサーフボードを運ぶ
　（しかも最初に道案内されただけで誰も付き添いにきてくれないため
　　道に迷いました！！！）
・午後の自由時間が少ない
・帰りはホテルで降ろしてくれたが、ピックアップは近くのホテル集合だった

悪かった点も挙げてますが、総合的にすごく良かったです！
お値段がこれで安いのかどうかは分かりませんが・・・。
高かった印象は残りませんでした。

泳ぎがあまり得意ではないので心配してましたが、
海に落ちることもなく、ボードの上で波を感じて景色を見て・・・とても癒されました！

カイルアは現地の人にも人気のスポットなので、行けて本当に良かったです。
ワイキキの海でもすっごく感動しますが
それ以上にキレイで感激しました！！！

I experienced stand-up paddleboarding. First, I was worried about the explanation in English, but a Japanese staff member kindly explained everything to me. The instructor was a foreigner who was cheerful and nice, but there was hardly any guidance once we got out on the water, so I had to rely on my memory of the initial instructions to manage on my own. However, I was able to stand up relatively easily and enjoyed it.

There were a few disappointing things, though. When I returned to the reception after the lesson, the instructor handed me a towel, but the Japanese woman at the reception told me that only Royal Hawaiian guests could use the towels and took it away from me. I was charged $50 plus tax even though it was supposed to include photos. Since I thought there would be photos included, I hadn’t prepared my own camera, so I had no choice but to purchase the photos. The lesson itself was a lot of fun, so it was unfortunate. Later, VELTRA refunded me for the photo fee.

写真つきとなっていたのに50ドル＋税を請求されたこと。
写真つきだと思っていたので自分たちのカメラを用意していなかったため写真を購入するしかなかったこと。
レッスン自体はすごく楽しかったので、残念でした。
後日、VELTRAさんが写真代を返金してくれました。

Wow! what an entertainer Harry was & related so well to us being Aussies & accustomed to the surfing fraternity. We're recently retired & I was on crutches after an operation & nothing was too much trouble. He made special trip in between activities to come & pick me up from Waimea Falls to save me walking. We couldn't praise him enough. Go Harry!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for a wonderful insight into life on the North Shore of Oahu.

My children, aged 12 and 8, participated in private surfing lessons. Even without being able to speak English, they were able to enjoy the lessons and had a great time surfing. It was their first time surfing, but the waves in Waikiki are definitely recommended for beginners! They were able to ride the waves right away! Thanks to this, we were very satisfied! My kids have come to love surfing!

The best way to see the North Shore

We were looking for a tour to see the North Shore but have the freedom to do what we want to do....we couldn't have picked a better tour. This is the perfect tour for people looking for freedom to do/go where they want. We had Sam as our tour guide, a native from Hawaii. He was informative and very the perfect style of guide for this tour. Knew what he was talking about, laid back but still detail oriented enough to handle everyone's activities and where they were. We went there the day of the Volcom Pipe Pro at the Pipeline. We rented bikes at the North Shore Surf Shop (an included activity with the tour - no extra charge) and that allowed us to go freely around. We rode up to the surf competition to watch live. The nice part was with the bikes, you were stuck in one spot the whole time. Watched the competition, then rode down the coast to Sharks Cove and Waimea Bay. It was great to have no schedule or "planned activities" when we got there. We had 3 hours to do what we want. Some wanted nothing to do with the surf competition and they could do what they want. Everyone had their own agenda and this tour worked great with it. (For a quick bite to eat, hit up Pupukea Grill. Its a food truck in Sharks Cove with a heavenly flatbread.) Met back next to Sharks Cove for the bus and rode to Haleiwa for the afternoon. Again, free time through the town to experience the city itself or do water activities at Surf N Sea. We wanted to experience the town, so we went into the surf shops, stores and walked around the town itself. (For a great sandwich, hit up Waialua Bakery and Juice Bar next to the grocery store...phenomenal.) For being a smaller town, Haleiwa is a very cool town to experience. After the town, we were to a beach to view the sea turtles that come on shore. It was amazing to see the turtles that close.

I travel to Hawaii every year, and usually, bodyboarding is my main activity. This time, I wanted to try paddleboarding, which has been gaining popularity in Japan recently. Unlike regular surfing, it was refreshing and interesting not being able to change the direction of the board with my gaze! I definitely want to participate again next year! The staff member Mieko was friendly and it was really fun! Many of the staff members spoke Japanese better than native speakers, providing attentive service and engaging conversations that made me feel comfortable! Thank you very much.

I attended with my wife. It was our first time doing stand-up paddleboarding, and we had a great time. The winter Waikiki Beach has calmer waves compared to places like Kailua, and the water is clear, allowing us to see corals and sea turtles, making it an excellent spot for beginners. It's also just a short walk from our hotel, and the lessons are brief, so it's really recommended for those looking to "experience" it.

The only complaint I have is that even though it included photo shooting, they only took pictures during the first 10 minutes of the lesson. So, we didn't get any "cool" photos when we were more comfortable. If they could have taken photos for 5 minutes at the beginning and end of the lesson, it would have been a perfect 5-star experience.

The instructor watches all the timing for catching the waves, so even complete beginners like us were able to ride easily and have fun. A separate photographer was there to capture us while we were riding the waves. It was great to receive a ROM at the end to keep a record of the experience. The actual surfing time was just under an hour, which I think was just right in terms of physical exertion! I recommend going early in the morning as the beach is less crowded then.

インストラクターの方が波に乗るタイミングを全部見てくれるので、全くの初心者の私たちでも簡単に、楽しく乗ることが出来ました。

I took a one-hour lesson with two instructors: one taught me how to surf, and the other took photos while I was riding the waves. I'm happy to receive the pictures! One hour was just right for me. The instructor understood Japanese and taught me kindly, so I felt at ease and enjoyed myself.

I arrived in Hawaii alone first and, feeling a bit anxious about meeting up with my friends later, I participated by myself. However, from the moment I was picked up, Mark spoke to me kindly and fluently in Japanese, which really put me at ease. The staff here are cheerful, the activities were fun, and the lunch was casual. The ocean was beautiful and it was just amazing! During free time, I could use the bodyboards as well. This is definitely a place I want to visit again; I had a great time!

The "Surf Bus" Rocked my world, got timed out and lost my heartfelt compliments. I can't rewrite my praises. It does not do justice. Going to try:
Sam was an amazing guide, the playing, eating, and listening on the North Shore, my taste of heaven. Just visualize; Sea Turtles, tidal pools and an eye to eye with an Eagle Ray, food to die for, and 1000 reasons to keep coming back. An awesome "build your own burger". Surprise yourself and go for it! Not a sit and stare tour, unless your waiting for a set, or focused on sea turtles. You still get to do your driving. Came back exhausted and completed. 50 years in and now I figure out happy. Better late than never.
Mesmerized by the bright smiles, and sense of community that emerged as we talked through our day. 20 people, 5 countries and a bevy of dialects. It was right Kraky, but no worries mate.
@Sam, the Tiki was truly over that rainbow.

My wife and daughter (12 years old) had their first experience. Both of them were able to stand on the board and ride the waves, and they were very happy. On the way back, they even said, "I wish there were a few more big waves," which shows how impressed they were. They mentioned they definitely want to experience it again. At the beginning, there was an explanation in Japanese on the beach, which made us feel at ease even though we didn't understand English. I was just observing, but there were no additional fees, and I was able to relax and watch under a beach umbrella.

Enjoyable tour with lots to do

Best way to visit the North Shore Area. There is so much to do on this tour I only wished it had lasted longer. We snorkeled at sharks cove where we saw beautiful fish and sea turtles, swam under a waterfall at Waimea Valley, visited sunset beach and turtle beach. We then hung out and ate in Haleiwa town. There are different options to choose from depending on your package. We missed Waimea bay - could not fit into schedule. Maybe next time. Highly recommend if you are NOT renting a car.

The weather was great, and we set out from the beach of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, walking in the waters of Waikiki with our instructor and photographer. Although we fell into the sea several times due to our lack of skill, the scenery was stunning and left us in awe. We also had many photos taken, which became wonderful keepsakes.

Shocking! Canoe surfing! 衝撃！カヌーサーフィン！

I was wondering if such a large canoe could ride the waves, but I was completely wrong! It rides the waves over a longer distance than regular surfing. The exhilaration of riding the waves while looking at Diamond Head in the waters of Hawaii is incredibly refreshing!

Just follow the captain's simple instructions: paddle or rest, that's all. You don't need to speak English to enjoy it!

I participated with a friend. Since it was my first experience, I was both excited and a little anxious! When the lesson started, I was taught by a foreigner who could speak Japanese, and they explained everything very clearly and in detail, so even someone like me, who is not good at English, understood it well (laughs). Also, since we were in the ocean, the instructor stayed with us. They watched the wave conditions and pushed the board when a good wave came. Thanks to that, I was able to ride without falling even once, and I had a very satisfying time!

友達と二人で参加をしました。初体験ということもあり楽しみと少し不安な気持ちもありました！
レッスンが始まると日本語が話せる外人から教えていただき、とてもわかりやすくかつ細かく教えて頂き英語が苦手なあたしでもよーくわかりました（笑）
そして、海に入ってたからも先生はついてきてくれました。
波の状態をみながら、いい波がくるとボードを押してくれました。おかけで一回も転倒することなくのれ大満足の時間がすごせました！

まずは、カウンターにてチェックイン。参加にあたっての注意事項等書面にて一読後、署名。その後、ワイキキビーチにてボードを使用してレッスン開始。まずは、ボード上でのバランスのとり方、足や顔の向き等々。次に、パドリング（効率の良い手の形）やウェーブスルー、人との接触回避方法も学ぶ。とても解りやすく教えて頂き、緊張感も和らぎました。
いよいよ、海へ。まずは、ボードに乗りパドリングで沖へ出る。波乗りポイントに到着、波を待つ。サーフィンに適した波が来たら、先生の掛け声「こいで、こいで。」とともに、勢い良くパドリング。波に乗れたと感じられたら、瞬時にボードの両脇を持ち、ライディングの工程へ。立ち位置を修正しながらバランスをとり、目線を遠くに向けるなどをしてなるべく持続できるように平常心を保つ。最初は、緊張していたためなかなか思うように体を動かすことができませんでした。徐々に、先生のサポートによりボードに立ちたいという思いが強くなり、なんとかライディング成功。次回サーフィンをする機会がありましたら、一人でテイク・オフができるように…。また、CDを見直してライディング位置や姿勢、目線などに注意をしながら再チャレンジ計画に役立てたいと思いました。１時間程度のサーフィン体験は、驚く程あっという間でしたが体力的にもちょうど良かったです。アクティビティ参加終了後は、レストランにてランチビッフェ。また、ボードはレンタル可能、後日再びワイキキビーチにてサーフィン。
