My husband and I heard wonderful things about the Haleakala sunrise, and knew that it was going to be one of our activities on our honeymoon. However, we knew that the bike tour option was a little more daring than we had hoped. After doing some research and finding this tour, we knew that this was the route we wanted to take.

The tour picked us up EARLY (just before 2am), and we boarded the bus. On the way up, our driver gave us the "disclaimer," that nobody can control the weather except mother nature, and it will either be crystal clear and beautiful...or...cloudy and disappointing. Luckily for us, it was, quite literally, PERFECT.

As the sun rose, the colors changed so beautifully and two native Hawaiians sung a traditional chant. We stayed for a few more pictures, then took the bus from the lookout point to summit (quick drive), then stopped at another lookout point before heading down to breakfast.

If you are going to Maui, make sure you take this trip!

We had gone on a Molokini excursion once before using another company, who were great as well, but this time we had a 5 year old with us and the glass bottom boat was very appealing. The entire cruise and snorkel/snuba was fantastic. If you're planning on getting a disposable underwater camera, save your money. They had underwater digitals for rent and the rental fee includes transferring your photos to a disc for you.

The crew really was fantastic, but I must give special mention to a young woman named Anna! We weren't planning on taking our 5 year old in the water and didn't even bring her bathing suit. Anna saw her and asked if she wanted to get in the water. When told of her lack of swimsuit, Anna said to just "go Hawaiian" (underpants and shirt) she gave my daughter her own diving shirt and then took her out on one of the snorkel rafts with the window. I didn't even know they had these rafts. She was great and if you read this Anna, your friend Adison says hello!

It was first time to do a snuba and I had great fun! So wanna do it again!!

The sail and food served was enjoyable. Molokini snorkel was fun. We especially loved the photographer taking underwater pictures/video.

This is a must do. Such an amazing experience and we had a wonderful crew. I am in my twenties and I took my mom as well as my teenaged nephew and we all enjoyed it. Unfortunately we didnt see dolphins but we saw lots of turtles!! Book early to be sure you get in! We will definitely be sure to book this activity on our next trip to the island.

Our first luau. It was very entertaining and the wide variety of food was all great. Seating was a bit cramped, but we had a great time. Our teen kids had a blast.

I went to the parking lot by rental car. The map I searched for on the internet for this tour was very confusing, and I got lost. Moreover, it was quite far from the boat. When I finally reached the boarding area, there was still plenty of space in the parking lot, which made me feel ridiculous. Since there is a parking lot at the boarding area, I recommend that those using this tour go directly to the site.

On the day of the tour, there were only four of us Japanese in our group. However, a Japanese female staff member provided detailed explanations, which was reassuring. Since we couldn't land on Molokini Island, it felt more like a snorkeling tour next to a pile of rocks. There weren't many fish to be impressed by, and depending on the weather, we couldn't stay in the water long enough to encounter turtles. In my case, I gave up due to the cold and got out. So, I only saw a few fish before it was over. Snorkeling in Miyako Island was definitely better. For me, there won't be a repeat visit.

レンアタカーで駐車場まで行きました。このツアーのネッッで検索した地図はとても判りにくくて迷い、しかも船とだいぶ離れた場所・・上船場所まで行くとそこには、まだまだパーキング場に余裕にあり、馬鹿らしい気分になりました。乗船場に駐車場があるので、このツアーを利用される方は現場まで行きましよう。
当日は日本人は自分達のグループ４人だけでした。でも日本人の女性スタッフが細かく説明して下さるので安心です。モロキニ島は上陸できないので、岩の塊の横でシュノーケリングした感じのツアーです。魚はそんなに感動するほどは居ないし、天気によっては亀に出会えるまで水中には居られません。私の場合は寒さに負けて諦めて上がりました。なので、少し魚をみておしまいでした。宮古島のシュノーケリングの方が断然良かった。わたしの場合はリピートはありません。

This was our first time and it was sooo amazing. The crew was great and the bbq was on point! Tre did an awesome job on the video and pictures. We will definately book again. We are planning on coming back next year with our son.

A surprise helicopter tour for my birthday from my boyfriend was one of the best presents ever! As we departed Maui, we flew straight to Molokai to see the world's highest sea cliffs and the lush, greenery of the unspoiled island.

There were countless waterfalls and the water was beautiful! I learned a lot about the islands of Maui & Molokai, and it was definitely an experience I would recommend to everyone visiting Hawaii for the first time. We will definitely be doing more helicopter tours in the future!

We signed up for the afternoon Coral Gardens and Captain Dan to us to Molokini Crater which was super awesome. Our first time snorkeling out in the middle of the ocean and we are planning on doing it again next year as a family with our 6 yr old son. We went solo this time for our honeymoon. Tre did great on the video we purchased. Very pleased to see footage of us. MAHALO FOR THAT! BBQ was very nicely done. Not dry at all. Great crew!! ALOOOOOHA & MAHALO!

We love to horseback ride and this was the 2nd time we chose Mendes Ranch. The staff is knowledgeable and very much fun. The trails were great and we were actually allowed to gallop our horses! I would definitely recommend Mendes to anyone wanting a great horseback riding experience in Maui!

My friends and I went on this tour because we heard really great reviews from other vacationers, and we are so happy that we went with Pride of Maui. When we first got to the boat to check-in, there was coffee set and breakfast waiting for us the moment we stepped on the boat. The crew on board were really interactive with all the guests, getting to know us and making sure we had a great time on board. Snorkeling at Molokini was incredible! The water was crystal clear and we saw tons of fish. After Molokini, we had a BBQ lunch that was grilled on board and delicious! It was a full tour but luckily there was tons of open seating on the top deck, which was awesome. I also chose to SNUBA and that was AMAZING! Reed, was a great SNUBA instructor and made you feel super comfortable in the water. Harold was the videographer who also put together a fantastic video and photos that you can purchase at the end of the trip as well. I am so happy we went on this tour and I will remember it forever!

The Crew aboard the Aqua Adventure are 2nd to NONE. Each and every member was awake and energetic at 6:30a and very hospitable from the moment we were in line reading the waivers. They were very respectful and helpful in every manner; they safely stored our shoes then firmly held our hands and arms to help us securely board the boat and engaged in getting to know us as they picked out the perfect snorkeling gear sizes for us. The Boat as well as Snorkeling instructions from the Captain were very informative yet personable with some light humor. At both snorkeling spots 1-2 of the crew members voluntarily guided us to the best snorkeling spots if we wanted to follow and showed us the largest sea turtles we have ever seen as well as an octopus and a starfish! The boat speaks for itself with the 2 350hp Cummings Diesel engines that made powering thru the fast wind from the North a piece of cake. Other tours had to take a much longer detour to get back due to the lack of horsepower

We went with 4 kids, 2 grandmas and an aunt- hoping to see whales. What we had was a humorous and informative host, as well, amazing videos and pictures of a full 90 min whale adventure. The captain took us to a few spots, but we were lucky enough to see everything from tail splashing, diving under our boat, fin waving and blow hole splashing. We all had a great time!

Has a great time! The crew was very nice and we enjoyed the ride. I think for the money we spent if people want a wetsuite top they shouldn't charge and extra $5. It kind of cheapens the experience. But, that being said it's a worthwhile adventure. Were glad we did it because snorkeling at the crate was awesome!

On March 29, 2013, I went with my family of three (10-year-old boy). We were able to see quite a few spouts here and there and encountered more whales than we expected. Thanks to the captain searching for various spots, we were able to see them frequently, which was moving. Of course, we were also able to take pictures of tails and jumps. I brought my EOS Kiss X6i with a 135mm lens, but for more impactful photos, a 300mm lens might be better.

It was quite windy on the water, making it very cold, so a jacket is essential. The boat also swayed a lot, so preparation and readiness are necessary. However, my wife, who usually gets seasick, was able to enjoy the tour without any issues. We drove directly to the meeting point (Lahaina Dock) with a rental car. There is free street parking for up to three hours, but considering our plans to explore Lahaina afterward, we parked in a public lot ($16 for 2-6 hours). Since it was an early morning plan, both options were available, but it might be difficult to find parking nearby if you go later in the day.

結構あちらこちらで潮吹きが見られ、思ったより沢山のクジラに遭遇することができました。
キャプテンが色々とスポットを探してくれたせいか、ポンポン見れる感じで、感動しました。
もちろん、シッポやジャンプの写真もとることができました。
EOS-KissX6i+135mmのセットを持っていきましたが、迫力ある写真を撮ろうとすると300mmくらいあったほうが良いかもしれません。
海上は風があって、かなり寒いので、上着が必須なのと、かなり船が揺れるため、準備と覚悟が必要です。ただし、船に弱い妻も、船酔いすることなくツアーを楽しむことができました。
我が家はレンタカーで直接集合場所（ラハイナドック）に行きました。
３時間まで無料の路上Pもありますが、その後のラハイナ散策も考慮して公共Pに車を駐車しました。（2-6Hで$16）早朝プランだったので、どちらも空いていましたが、遅い時間だと近場に駐車スペースを見つけるのに苦労するかもしれません。

On March 30, 2013, I went with my family of three (10-year-old boy). The water clarity was somewhat low that day, and it felt like there were fewer tropical fish. However, we were able to encounter sea turtles. We were able to rent wet suits, so the 30-minute snorkeling was fine. On the way back, we enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere while sailing, and during the trips to and from the snorkeling spot, we also encountered whales together. They were quite close and impressive. Unfortunately, there was no Japanese-speaking crew, but it wasn't a problem at all.

この日は水の透明度がやや低く、熱帯魚も少ないような感じでした。
ただし、海亀には遭遇することができました。
ウエットスーツを借りることができたので、30分くらいのシュノーケンリングは大丈夫でした。
帰りはセーリングでのんびりした雰囲気も楽しむことができ、また、シュノーケリングスポットへの行き帰りにおいては、共にクジラに遭遇することができました。
かなり近くて迫力がありました。
残念ながら、日本語クルーは在籍していませんでしたが、特に問題はありませんでした。

We participated as a couple during the New Year holidays. Having joined various tours on overseas trips and met Japanese staff, I can say that the female staff here were incredibly attentive and made everything feel perfect, resulting in a very enjoyable tour.

When the sea turtles were not surfacing and I was feeling cold and ready to give up and head back to the boat, one of the staff encouraged me to wait a little longer, assuring me that I would definitely see them. Thanks to that, within 20 seconds, the long-awaited sea turtle swam right in front of me.

Did you see it? You saw it, right? They celebrated with me.

Additionally, although there were mostly foreigners and only about ten Japanese guests, during lunch, they arranged for us to be in the best position and at the best timing, allowing us to be first in line and enjoy our meal.

I truly appreciate all the help we received.

年末年始に夫婦2人で参加しました。
何度か海外旅行で色んなツアーに参加して、日本人スタッフにもお会いして来ましたが、
こちらの女性スタッフは本当に痒い所に手が届くような接し方で本当に気持ちよく全てがパーフェクト、とても楽しいツアーになりました。
海カメがなかなか浮上せず、寒くて寒くてもうダメ…船に上がる…と帰りかけた私に「あと少し待ってごらん、絶対見れるから…と引き留めて下さった、そのお陰で20秒もしないうちに、念願の海亀が私の目の前を堂々と泳いで行きました。
見た？見れたね？一緒に喜んでくれました。

それに外人だらけで日本人の客は10人弱だったけれど、ランチの時はベストポジション＆ベストタイミングで並ばせてくれて、お陰様で1番で並び、食べる事が出来ました。

本当にお世話になりました。

I participated in a very affordable early morning plan. Shortly after departure, we spotted whales, and the excitement on the boat was incredible! As we continued, whales appeared here and there, and I didn't know where to look! I learned for the first time that whales travel in groups; I thought they only traveled as mothers and their calves. It was quite windy and cold on the boat, so a jacket is necessary. Still, taking pictures of the whales is quite challenging.

大変お得な早朝プランで参加しました。
出発して間もなくクジラの姿が見えてきて船上は大興奮！！
さらに走っていくと、あちらでもこちらでもクジラが現れ一体どこを見たらよいのか！！？？状態でした。
クジラってグループで行動しているんですね、親子だけかと思っていたのですが今回初めて知ることができました。
船上はけっこう風が強くて寒いですので上着は必要。
それにしても、クジラの写真を撮るのは難しいです（：：）

Since it's close to the hotel, we chose to depart from Ka'anapali Beach. I was wondering where to board since there wasn't a pier, but you actually get on the boat from the beach. It feels a bit like a fun attraction, which is enjoyable. I sat in a hammock seat, so it felt different from usual, and there were some people lounging around.

You might be able to see whales up close depending on luck, so it can vary each time, but I recommend it for those visiting during this season!

Also, please be cautious as there are places where you might get wet.

ホテルに近いことからカアナパリビーチ発にしました。
桟橋とかなくて、どこから乗るのかなぁって思ってたら
ビーチから船に乗るんです。ちょっとしたアトラクション気分で乗るので
楽しいっ。ハンモック席に座ったのでいつもと違う感じがして
寝そべっている方もいました。

またクジラは運次第で近くで見れるのでその時によって異なるか
と思われますが、この時期に行かれる方オススメです！

また場所によっては濡れることもあるので注意してください。

I've seen hula shows at shopping centers, but this was my first time seeing such an authentic hula performance, and I was truly moved!

During the show, when the lights dimmed as part of the performance, I looked up at the sky and saw a sky full of stars, which was also breathtaking!

The staff was friendly (perhaps a bit too friendly?!), and the food was delicious, which made me very satisfied. The lack of guidance or explanations in Japanese added to the exotic atmosphere, which I really appreciated.

本格的なフラのショーを見たのは初めてで感動しました！

ショーの途中、演出で照明が暗くなった時に空を見上げたら
満天の星が見えてそれもまた感動！！

スタッフもフレンドリーで（フレンドリー過ぎる感も？！）
食事も美味しく満足でした。下手に日本語で案内や説明が
なかったのも異国感たっぷりでよかったです。

I went whale watching from Lahaina on Maui with a Japanese guide named Gaito. At first, I thought we might only see them from a distance, but to my surprise, a mother and baby whale came very close, jumping and waving, and we even got to see the whale's tail up close. Saori from Gaito was very kind, which was great. We also received juice and snack vouchers. It was a very enjoyable two hours that flew by.

マウイ島のラハイナから日本語のガイトさんがのる便で鯨をみに行きました。最初は遠くからしか見えないのかな～と思いましたが、なんと、おやこ鯨が大接近、ジャンプに、手をふったり、鯨のシッポも間近でみれました。ガイトのさおりさんもとても親切でよかったです。ジュースとスナック券ももらいました、とても楽しいあっというまの２時間です。

Since it's my first time visiting Maui in winter, I definitely wanted to go whale watching, but I wasn't confident in my English, so I joined this tour where a Japanese staff member would be on board.

When I arrived at Lahaina Harbor, I was surprised by the crowd of people. It was a bit difficult to find the tour desk, but after checking in and sitting on a bench, Satomi, the staff member, approached us. Since we were the only Japanese people there, she stayed with us the whole time, sharing lots of information about whales, which felt like a great deal.

Of course, we saw plenty of whales; they were splashing their tails everywhere, and three of them swam right alongside the boat, which made for a very satisfying whale watching experience. The pizza place that Satomi recommended was also delicious.

初めて冬のマウイに行くので、ホエールウォッチングは絶対行きたいけれど英語に自信がないので、日本人スタッフが一緒に乗船してくれるこのツアーに参加しました。
ラハイナ港に着くと人人人で人の多さにびっくりです。
ツアーデスクを探すのに、少し見つけにくかったのですが、受付が終わってベンチに座っていると、すぐにスタッフのさとみさんが声をかけてくださり、ちょうど私たちだけが日本人ということで、ずっと付いてくださって、鯨の話をいろいろ聞けてお得感満載でした。
もちろん鯨もたくさん見れて、あちこちで鯨が尾びれをバシャバシャしてましたし、3頭が仲良く船のすぐ近くまで並走してくれたり大満足のホエールウォッチングでした。
さとみさんお勧めのピザ屋さんも美味しかったです。

Anna was very knowledgeable of the plants and water falls.Anna paced the hike for young and mature and gave everyone the oppurtunity to participate. We didn't know what to expect but were very pleased at the end of the adventure.Mahalo

This was my first time on Maui, and I signed up for the most popular tour. However, it exceeded my expectations! I was able to see many whales and swim with sea turtles, which was a wonderful experience.

There were really very few Japanese people on Maui, and I was worried because the guide who picked us up couldn't speak Japanese, but I was relieved that a Japanese staff member accompanied us and provided thorough explanations. I would love to participate again when I visit Maui next time. I experienced a bit of seasickness this time, so I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take some medication before joining.

　今回、初めてのマウイ島でとりあえず、一番人気のこのコースに申し込みました。
　ですが、予想以上によかったです！　クジラは沢山みれるわ海亀と一緒におよげたし、すばらしい体験ができました。

マウイ島では日本人が本当に少なく迎えにたガイドさんも日本語が出来ない方だったので心配でしたが、ちゃんと日本人スタッフが付き添ってくださり、丁寧な説明もしてくれたのでたすかりました！　またマウイ島にいったら参加したいです
私は今回、少し船酔いをしてしまったので、乗り物に弱い肩は是非酔い止め薬を飲んで参加されることをオススメします

This was a great hop from Maui to Lanai and we had the added benefit of seeing several whales along the way over and a school of dolphins playing alongside the ferry on the trip back. We'd do it again!

The Whale Watching was fun. The only problem was that we could not hear what was being said over the speakers. Too noisey.

I have experienced horseback riding a few times before, but this was my first time riding in such a professional setting.

They selected a horse that suited each individual, and without any fear, I was able to spend a wonderful time in the great nature of Maui and enjoy the fresh air♪

This time, I participated in the morning course, but if I have the chance again, I would definitely like to join the afternoon course!

こんなに本格的な乗馬は初めてでした。

一人一人に合った馬を選んでいただき、怖いこともなく、
マウイの大自然と美味しい空気の中、とても素敵な時間を過ごすことができました♪

今回は午前中のコースを体験しましたが、またチャンスがあれば、是非午後のコースに参加してみたいと思います！

I participated in a whale watching tour in late January with my sixth-grade son. We traveled all the way to Maui to show him whales, which are hard to see in Japan, in person.

The boat was large enough to accommodate over 100 people, but there were only a few passengers that day, with four Japanese and a few foreigners on the first floor, allowing for a comfortable seating arrangement. A Japanese guide was also on board, providing detailed explanations.

Before boarding, I was filled with anxiety about whether we would actually see any whales, but shortly after setting sail, we spotted whale spouts in various directions. The captain steered the boat toward them, and we quickly arrived near the whales.

After that, we could see whales all around us without even having to search, and I was able to capture their trademark cute tails on camera. It seems that around February to early March, about 4,000 whales come close to Maui.

Of course, my son was also thrilled with the impressive whales. The two-hour boat ride passed by much quicker than I expected, and I didn’t even have time to feel seasick.

During the cruise, we received a ticket that could be exchanged for either two drinks or a drink and a dessert or snack. I think the cost performance is excellent.

I highly recommend whale watching in Maui during the winter!

一月下旬にホエールウォッチングに参加させていただきました。小6の息子との二人旅。日本では　なかなか見ることのできないクジラを生で見せてあげたくて　マウイ島まで渡りました。
100人以上乗れる大きな船でしたが、その日は乗客も少なめで一階には日本人が4人と外国人が数人で椅子もゆったり。船には　日本人のガイドの方も一緒に乗っていただいたので
詳しい説明も聞けました。
乗るまでは、本当にクジラが見えるかどうか不安がいっぱいでしたが、出航して間もなくクジラの潮が沖のあちこちに見えました。　船長さんが　その方向に舟を走らせます。
あっという間に　クジラの近くに到着。
そのあとは、探さなくても　四方八方にクジラが見えてトレードマークのかわいい尻尾も　ちゃんとカメラに収めることができました。
大体二月から三月の頭くらいは　約4000頭のクジラがマウイ島の近くにやってくるそうです。
もちろん息子も　迫力満点のクジラに大満足。
二時間の船は　思ったよりあっという間に過ぎてしまい、船酔いする間もありませんでした。
クルージング中に　ドリンク二杯か　ドリンクとスイーツ、スナックのいづれかと交換できるチケットももらえます。
コストパフォーマンスは　最高だと思います。
冬のマウイ島でのホエールウォッチング、お勧めです。
