On March 30, 2013, I went with my family of three (10-year-old boy). The water clarity was somewhat low that day, and it felt like there were fewer tropical fish. However, we were able to encounter sea turtles. We were able to rent wet suits, so the 30-minute snorkeling was fine. On the way back, we enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere while sailing, and during the trips to and from the snorkeling spot, we also encountered whales together. They were quite close and impressive. Unfortunately, there was no Japanese-speaking crew, but it wasn't a problem at all.

この日は水の透明度がやや低く、熱帯魚も少ないような感じでした。

ウエットスーツを借りることができたので、30分くらいのシュノーケンリングは大丈夫でした。

かなり近くて迫力がありました。
残念ながら、日本語クルーは在籍していませんでしたが、特に問題はありませんでした。

We participated as a couple during the New Year holidays. Having joined various tours on overseas trips and met Japanese staff, I can say that the female staff here were incredibly attentive and made everything feel perfect, resulting in a very enjoyable tour.

When the sea turtles were not surfacing and I was feeling cold and ready to give up and head back to the boat, one of the staff encouraged me to wait a little longer, assuring me that I would definitely see them. Thanks to that, within 20 seconds, the long-awaited sea turtle swam right in front of me.

Did you see it? You saw it, right? They celebrated with me.

Additionally, although there were mostly foreigners and only about ten Japanese guests, during lunch, they arranged for us to be in the best position and at the best timing, allowing us to be first in line and enjoy our meal.

I truly appreciate all the help we received.

年末年始に夫婦2人で参加しました。
何度か海外旅行で色んなツアーに参加して、日本人スタッフにもお会いして来ましたが、
こちらの女性スタッフは本当に痒い所に手が届くような接し方で本当に気持ちよく全てがパーフェクト、とても楽しいツアーになりました。
海カメがなかなか浮上せず、寒くて寒くてもうダメ…船に上がる…と帰りかけた私に「あと少し待ってごらん、絶対見れるから…と引き留めて下さった、そのお陰で20秒もしないうちに、念願の海亀が私の目の前を堂々と泳いで行きました。
見た？見れたね？一緒に喜んでくれました。

それに外人だらけで日本人の客は10人弱だったけれど、ランチの時はベストポジション＆ベストタイミングで並ばせてくれて、お陰様で1番で並び、食べる事が出来ました。

本当にお世話になりました。

Since it's close to the hotel, we chose to depart from Ka'anapali Beach. I was wondering where to board since there wasn't a pier, but you actually get on the boat from the beach. It feels a bit like a fun attraction, which is enjoyable. I sat in a hammock seat, so it felt different from usual, and there were some people lounging around.

You might be able to see whales up close depending on luck, so it can vary each time, but I recommend it for those visiting during this season!

Also, please be cautious as there are places where you might get wet.

I've seen hula shows at shopping centers, but this was my first time seeing such an authentic hula performance, and I was truly moved!

During the show, when the lights dimmed as part of the performance, I looked up at the sky and saw a sky full of stars, which was also breathtaking!

The staff was friendly (perhaps a bit too friendly?!), and the food was delicious, which made me very satisfied. The lack of guidance or explanations in Japanese added to the exotic atmosphere, which I really appreciated.

My husband and I participated the day after our arrival in Maui, but due to bad weather, we couldn't see the stars at the summit because it was foggy. We returned and rescheduled for two days later to try again.

I heard that the only way to do a comeback with just the cost of lunch and the national park entrance fee (a total of $15) is through Maui All Stars.

Two days later, the weather improved, and we were able to see a sea of clouds, a beautiful sunset with the green flash, the shadow of the Earth, and a bright moon close to full moon, along with a moonbow that can only be seen when there is no water vapor in the distance.

Our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, mentioned that since the full moon was approaching, the stars were not as visible as usual, but we were still able to see many stars, including those not visible in Japan, the profile of Mickey on the moon, and the stripes of Jupiter.

While listening to explanations under the stars, they provided chairs, large blankets, and warm tea, allowing us to lean back and slowly gaze at the stars. Standing and looking up can be tiring on the neck, but sitting in a chair is very comfortable.

This is also a thoughtful gesture from Mr. Yamauchi based on his experience. He set up the telescopes and arranged chairs for the participants without even having lunch himself. It's no surprise that many people have commented on Mr. Yamauchi's character in their experiences.

Since I don't often have the opportunity to see stars, I had a very valuable experience thanks to Mr. Yamauchi. Next time, I would like to participate when it is as far from the full moon as possible.

主人と二人でマウイ到着翌日に参加しましたが、悪天候のため頂上まで行っても霧がかかっていて星は見られる状態ではなく帰ってきて、スケジュールを空けていた２日後にリベンジしました。

お弁当と国立公園の入園料（計＄１５）のみでリベンジできるのは、マウイオールスターズだけだと聞いています。

２日後は天候も回復して、雲海、美しいサンセットと共にグリーンフラッシュ、地球の影、そして満月近くの明るい月と遠くに水蒸気が発生していないと見えないムーンボウまで見ることができました。

ガイドの山内さんは満月が近いから星がいつもよりは見えていないとおっしゃいますが、星もたくさん見ることができ、日本では見えない星、月面の横顔ミッキー、木星の縞模様も見られました。

たくさんの星を見ながら説明を聞く時は、イスと大きいブランケット、温かいお茶を用意して下さるので、背もたれに頭を預けて上を向いてゆっくり星が見られます。
立って上を見ていると首が疲れますが、イスに座るととても楽チンです。

これも山内さんのご経験からの心遣いです。
お弁当も食べずに参加者のためにイスを出して望遠鏡などをセットしていらっしゃいました。
体験談で山内さんのお人柄にふれている方が多いのも納得です。


普段なかなか星を見る機会がないので、山内さんのお陰でとても貴重な体験ができました。
次回はなるべく満月から遠い時に参加したいと思います。

We participated as a family. The sunset at Haleakalā was amazing!!!! The starry sky was great too!!! We saw a lot of shooting stars. Since it is at a lower elevation than Mauna Kea on the Big Island, it was easier physically. I think it's good for elderly people and small children. I want to go again.

This was my first time on Maui, and I signed up for the most popular tour. However, it exceeded my expectations! I was able to see many whales and swim with sea turtles, which was a wonderful experience.

There were really very few Japanese people on Maui, and I was worried because the guide who picked us up couldn't speak Japanese, but I was relieved that a Japanese staff member accompanied us and provided thorough explanations. I would love to participate again when I visit Maui next time. I experienced a bit of seasickness this time, so I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take some medication before joining.

They selected a horse that suited each individual, and without any fear, I was able to spend a wonderful time in the great nature of Maui and enjoy the fresh air♪

This time, I participated in the morning course, but if I have the chance again, I would definitely like to join the afternoon course!

Blue Hawaiian is the company that filmed the scenes for Jurassic Park and our pilot took us out to where the filming took place. Absolutely beautiful. Just the helicopter ride itself is a real rush but to see 2500 ft waterfalls, the tallest ocean cliffs in the world and a rock shaped like a sleeping elephant in the middle of the ocean is just a bonus. The staff was very friendly and the pilot certainly knew the history of the islands; he kept it very interesting. We purchased the DVD of our flight and the DVD of the islands from a helicopter view and both are awesome.

Turtle Town & Molokini Snorkel Tour with Breakfast & Lunch - Aloha Blue Charters

This Excursion does NOT Disappoint

We take this excursion to Molikini and Turtle Island every time we visit Maui. The crew of the catamaran, Capt Fish, David and Gary were amazing. They kept us safe, hydrated with water (or adult beverages), and made sure everyone that got in the water, got out of the water.

They also had a professional photographer who made sure everyone had a grand time, and preserved it on a CD you will not believe. The colors light up and we are glad he was along. We didn't have to worry about taking pictures.

We saw lots of whales, beautiful fish, but were a bit short on the turtles.

The selection of meats, cheeses and salad for lunch were a surprise. The sandwiches were easy to assemble, the bread was fresh, and it was just really good.

Go and enjoy!

My husband and I have been to the Old Lahaina Luau and prefer it to this one hands down. Drums of the Pacific seemed corny, as another reviewer posted. The emcee sounded like a barker for a side show..."and now the GRRREEAATT, the FaNTAAAASSSTIC, So-And-So (can't remember the name of the dancer) performing the ...whatever. My brother and his wife, first time visitors, were with us and enjoyed it. We didn't tell them any different so as not to spoil their evening. For first timers, it's OK but if you want culture and history, Old Lahaina Luau is far better.

This was an ultimate favorite trip with Hawaii activities. The most interesting part for us was the star sky and our two guides Greg and Chris. They were so impressive good to tell about the stars and volcanoes. So Hawaii activities be sure to keep those two guys as loooong as possible. Worth every penny!

The sunset was beautiful, but I was also impressed by the magnificence of the night sky! The meal was a delicious makunouchi bento, which was a relief for my stomach after eating so much bread. The guide's slightly poignant stories were moving and felt like a cleansing for my heart.

However, those with a slight cold should be cautious! I ended up with acute aerotitis media and had to have my eardrum surgically opened after returning home.

Next time, I would love to see the summer night sky!

I chose the four winds II because of the glass bottom viewing. We are a family of 4 and 2 swim and 2 do not. All had a great time. Snorkeling was great and saw some whales and turtles on our way back. The pulled pork sandwiches they serve onboard after snorkeling were the best. Would do this again.

My neice and I were surprised and shocked to learn of the history of the people of Lanai'i and how past decisions of a few people greatly impacted the island and how those decisions continue to impact it today. Our guide Glenn was really great. Not only was he a excellent driver ( and the mountain driving can be challenging), he was very knowlegable about Maui, Hawaii and talked us through most of the tour. He was very polite, informative and over all was great. We were on time for everything and he kept everyone interested. I'm glad we chose to do this, because being our first time in Hawaii I would not have wanted to drive the mountain in the early hours of the morning. I would definitely go back again. The Haleakala sunrise and crater are a wonder to be seen. Thanks Glenn for making it even more enjoyable.

Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset, but we were able to see the Milky Way and many shooting stars! I've participated in various tours abroad, but I was surprised by the attentive service of our guide! They provide blankets, coats, and gloves, but I wish I had worn tights or long socks to keep my feet a bit warmer. There were some rocky areas, but if you're confident about not twisting your ankle, I think it's totally fine to wear heels. I highly recommend it!

毛布、コート、手袋を貸して頂けますが、タイツかロングソックスをで足元をもうちょっと暖かくして行けば良かったと思いました。ゴツゴツした岩場も少しありましたが、足を捻ったりしない自信があれば全然ヒールでも大丈夫だと思います。お勧めです♪

Overall this was a good experience for our first luau. The setting was very nice and the fire dancer a huge hit. I thought the dancers and entertainers were great but I would have enjoyed something a little more interactive. Example, instead of just selling the crafts, allowing children to interact. The food was good but the drinks were watered down. I didn't even finish one and ended up buying a $15 drink from the bar. We would likely attend again but also might look for something a little more interactive for the kids.

The staff at the Mendes Ranch was absolutely incredible. The lunch was excellent and the view was spectacular. It was the first time we had done something like this and found it to be something we would do again. Freddy and Roberta were just the nicest people. My husband and I walked away with memories that will last a lifetime. We will be back to do this again Dec. 2013. Until then Mahalo....

Every December, I go to a remote island to enjoy snorkeling trips, but the weather is often bad during this time. However, this time the weather was fantastic, and we were able to relax comfortably on the deck of the boat.

There were some rough waves, so one person got seasick and had to sit down, but since they are generally weak on boats, there's not much you can do about that. The snorkeling at Molokini Island has excellent water clarity, but... although I wasn't expecting much, I was still disappointed by the lack of coral and fish. Having experienced Okinawa, the Maldives, and Palau, I can't help but compare.

At the turtle spot, there were several turtles, and I even encountered one that was floating while mating. However, the visibility there wasn't great, and there were no fish at all. Our group was the only Japanese people there.

Our guide, Takako, was friendly and cheerful, which made our experience enjoyable and comfortable. My father, who couldn't go into the water, was also satisfied because the weather was nice.

毎年１２月には離島に行きシュノーケルトリップを楽しみますがこの時期は天候が悪いことも多いです。しかし今回はすっごく良いお天気で船のデッキで気持ち良くすごせました。
少し波が荒かったため１名だけ船酔いしダウンしましたがもともと船に弱いためこればっかりは仕方ないですね。
モロキニ島のシュノーケルは海の透明度は抜群ですが・・・期待していなかったもののやっぱり珊瑚や魚が少なく残念でした。沖縄やモルディブ・パラオを体験してるのでそれと比べてしまいます。カメがいるスポットには何匹もいて交尾しながら浮いてくるカメにも遭遇しました。ただここは透明度は良くありませんし全く魚はいません。
日本人は私達グループのみでした。
ガイドのタカコさんは気さくで天真爛漫。おかげでこちらも楽しく快適に過ごせました。
海に入れない父も天気が良かったので満足していました。

The view from Haleakalā was truly amazing. The sunset changes its expression from day to day, and the starry sky was unlike anything I've ever seen; it's beyond words.

Also, our guide, Yamapee, had such a pleasant personality. His attentive service, guidance at the location until our arrival, and the insider tips about Maui made for an experience that exceeded my expectations.

The warm clothing provided was great, and there was nothing to complain about—both the outdoor bento and the grilled ice were wonderful!

This was a completely unique experience. The beauty and grand experience of the sunrise over the volcano was breathtaking. Bob, our guide, was prompt, courteous and entertaining while being very attentive to the difficult road conditions. He also gave us suggestions about places to eat and things to do during our stay.We throughly enjoyed the tour and would do it again.

I went to Maui for the first time and participated in the Haleakalā sunset and stargazing tour. There were four of us: a group of three consisting of a mother and her two daughters, and me. It was nice to have fewer people, making it more relaxed. The moon was out, so the visibility of the stars wasn't great, but the sunset was beautiful. I was able to have a valuable experience. Next time, I would like to go during the new moon.

始めてマウイ島に行きましたので、ハレアカナのサンセット星空ツアーに参加しました。
参加していたのは、母と娘さん二人の３名のグループと私の４人でしたが、人が多いよりゆったりしていて良かったです。
月が出ていたので、星空の見えぐわいは、今一でしたが
サンセットは、よく見えました。
貴重な体験をする事が出来ました。次に行く時は、新月の時に行きたいと思いています。
