I didn't expect there to be so many stars in the sky. Yamachan, who guided us, shared his life experiences, which really resonated with me. I felt inspired to expand my own capacity as a person and would love to visit this place again.

This was my second time participating. The stargazing during my first visit was half as enjoyable because it was cold, so this time I came prepared with warm clothing. However, unfortunately, it coincided with a full moon, which was disappointing. Still, I repeated the experience because I was looking forward to chatting with Mr. Yamauchi, so it was good. Every time I come, I really think about wanting to live on a Hawaiian island.

2回目の参加でした。
初参加時の星空観測が寒くて楽しさ半分でしたので、今回は用意周到の厚着で参加しました。
しかし、生憎の満月に当たってしまい残念でした。
まあ、それでも山内さんとの会話が楽しみでリピートしましたから良かったです。
いつ来ても、本当にハワイの離島に住みたいと思いますね。

Honolulu is convenient and nice, but I definitely recommend Maui. It feels like time flows slowly there, and you can live in harmony with nature. Next time, please be sure to consult the lunar calendar and come visit Maui.

Thanks to Yamapi, I created unforgettable memories for a lifetime.

To avoid putting too much strain on our bodies, we made stops at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Claridge while heading to the summit of Haleakalā. Since I was with my elderly parents, I was worried about the cold and altitude sickness, but there was no need for such concerns with Yamapi's tour.

The sea of clouds and the sunset, and the breathtaking starry sky I saw while lying on the ground are unforgettable. Yamapi's stories while we gazed at the stars resonated deeply with me. I held back tears as I looked at Orion. I promised my parents that we would come again together.

The sushi for dinner that we chose at the supermarket was delicious, and we even enjoyed warm tea and snacks in the car. After stargazing, we listened to music selected by Yamapi in the car, soaking in the emotions as we were driven back to the hotel. The couple who joined us on the tour were also very kind, making it a fun trip for everyone. With chairs, blankets, down jackets, knowledge, and thoughtful care, I believe Yamapi's tour is number one in Hawaii.

高齢の両親と一緒だったため、寒さや高山病が不安でしたが、

スーパーで選ばせて下さった夜ごはんのお寿司は美味しく、
車中では温かいお茶やおやつまでいただきました。
星空観測後の車中では、
ヤマピーさんセレクトの音楽を聴きながら、
感動にひたりつつ、ホテルまで送っていただきました。
一緒のツアーだったご夫婦もとてもやさしくしてくださり、
みんなでワイワイ楽しい旅でした。
椅子や毛布、ダウンジャケット、知識、気配り心配り、
ヤマピーさんのツアーはハワイNo.１だと思います。

Last summer, three generations participated: my parents, my husband and I, and our daughter (9 years old). Even after six months, looking at the photos we took together brings back emotions and fills me with warmth. My parents were also very happy.
Yamapi was a kind and knowledgeable guide, truly wonderful. I could feel his desire to make everyone who participated happy.

Even after returning to the hotel, we were so excited that we couldn't fall asleep right away, including our daughter.
This is the best memory from our trip to Maui.

昨年の夏、両親、私達夫婦と娘（９歳）の三世代で参加しました。半年たっても、皆で撮った写真を見ると感動がよみがえり、あたたかい気持ちになります。両親も喜んでいました。
ヤマピーさん、やさしくて物知りで、本当にすてきなガイドさんでした。参加した人に喜んでもらいたい、という気持ちが伝わってきました。

ホテルに戻っても興奮して、娘も含めてすぐには寝付けませんでした。

I have traveled to Maui several times and really like it. This time, I participated in the highly-rated tour by Yamapi, which I had been curious about for a long time, and I can't help but wonder why I didn't join sooner! It was a wonderful tour. The sunset and starry sky were beautiful, of course, but what stood out the most was Yamapi's thoughtfulness. He provided various forms of entertainment and truly prioritized the participants. Since I attended with my elderly mother, having blankets and chairs while watching the stars was a great help. I only have memories of being cold during a star tour I took on the Big Island in the past, where there were no blankets, chairs, or warm drinks, but this time was completely different and turned into a fun memory! I also appreciated that we had frequent bathroom breaks. I'm glad my mother enjoyed it too! If I have the opportunity, I would like to join Yamapi's other tours as well. Thank you very much!

I had a very enjoyable experience. As expected, the summit was extremely cold since it was January! It's a good idea to bring your own gloves and hat. The guide, Rick, was very fun and informative.

The moon was too bright, so I gave it four stars, but without that, it would have been five! It might be a good idea to check the moon chart before making a reservation!

I definitely agree, and I think it would be best to look at the lunar calendar when deciding on your travel dates. If the sunset and moonrise times are offset (by at least two hours), a full moon won't be a problem. A new moon provides the best conditions for stargazing.

I was finally able to repeat my visit to Haleakalā! As everyone has mentioned, just like last time, I was welcomed by YAMAPEE's wonderful smile and engaging talk. The atmosphere among the tour participants was great, and we started off with a cozy feeling that you don't get on a large bus.

The summer Saturn and the close-up of the moon were impressive, but the starry sky during the winter new moon was truly sacred. No matter when you visit, Haleakalā shows a different expression, and I felt that every single cell in my body was rejoicing under the star-filled sky. Last time, I was able to see the death star of the Big Dipper, but this time we could all see the stars below the belt of Orion, as well as the Andromeda Galaxy.

It's an experience to have the sky right in front of you completely filled with stars... It would be a shame to go to Hawaii and not know about Maui, and it would be truly regrettable to go all the way to Maui and not climb Haleakalā. I really want to share this experience with others, and I might insist on it with my friends again.

It was so much fun with everyone who was there! Thank you to the Osaka team for including us! We got some wonderful photos. I'm so happy—I even bought a special frame! Thank you, YAMAPEE, for your professional guidance once again! With so many repeat visitors, please continue to create tours even after the 3055th time!

皆様が書いてらっしゃるとおり、前回とかわらずYAMAPEEさんの良い笑顔、トークに迎えられ、ツアーの皆様の雰囲気もよく、大型バスにはないアットホームな感じでスタートしました。
夏の土星や月面のアップも感動的でしたが、冬の新月の星空は神聖さそのものでした。
いつ来ても違う表情をみせてくれるハレアカラの懐の深さ、満天の天プラに細胞の一つ一つが喜んでいたと感じます。前回は北斗七星の死兆星など見れましたが、今回はオリオン座のベルト下の、くの字の下の星がみんな見れたり、アンドロメダ星雲などを見せていただけました。
目の前の空が全部星で埋め尽くされているなんて体験できません。。。
ハワイにいって、マウイ島を知らないのは勿体ないし、マウイまでいって、ハレアカラに登らないのは本当に勿体ないことだと思います。
ぜひぜひ同じ体験を分かち合いたいなと、また友人達にしつこくしそうです。

Every time in Maui, I would usually just relax at the hotel besides playing golf, but this time I participated in a sightseeing tour for the first time. The weather was great, and I was able to see the best sunset and starry sky.

The winding road to the summit has no guardrails, so I really appreciated using the tour. I enjoyed the explanations at the summit and the observations through the telescope.

For dinner, I bought packaged sushi at the supermarket. For a couple in their 50s, this was also an extraordinary experience that we enjoyed.

This time, a young Japanese-American man was in charge. He seemed to have little experience, but his earnestness came through.

However, that beautiful starry sky was probably a once-in-a-lifetime experience!? I wanted to quietly take my time to enjoy it. I found the explanations about the stars very interesting, but in the freezing cold, I was a bit taken aback by how he endlessly talked about his background and feelings towards his job. Also, it was not appropriate for him to speak ill of other companies while trying to convey the greatness of his own. It seems like youthful passion can sometimes miss the mark. He is someone I look forward to seeing grow in the future.

As you mentioned, I believe the company is sincere and solid. If I have the opportunity, I would like to participate in another tour.

It was a tour where I felt the best hospitality from the pickup at the hotel to the very end. Our guide, Yamapi, came to greet us, and I was so impressed, thinking, "Oh, I've seen this person on TV!" He was very good at talking, friendly, and above all, I felt his heartfelt hospitality for us. The choice of music in the vehicle, his wealth of knowledge in conversation, it was a wonderful tour until the very end. I will participate again! The Krispy Kreme donuts I uploaded in the photo are not available in Japan. I appreciate the attention to detail in such things.

ホテルへのピックアップから最後まで、細かいところまで最高のおもてなしを感じるツアーでした。

During my six-day trip to Hawaii, I participated in many tours, but this was definitely the No. 1 tour.

The vibrant sunset visible from the summit of Haleakalā and the 180-degree view of the starry sky were the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life.

Not only the scenery, but also Mr. Yamauchi's stories reminded me of a pure heart.

Even after returning home, I want to occasionally look up at the night sky and remember the starry sky of Maui and Mr. Yamauchi's stories.

I will come again!

今回、6日間のハワイ旅行でたくさんのツアーに参加しましたが、間違いなくNo.1のツアーです。

ハレアカラ山頂から見える色鮮やかなサンセット、180度見渡せる星空、ともに今までの人生の中で一番綺麗でした。

It was moving!!! 感動！！！

This is my fourth time in Maui, but it's my first time going to the mountains. Yamachan arrived at the hotel right on time to pick us up. During the drive, we had a lively time asking each other about our hometowns. We stopped by a souvenir shop along the way, where we tried and purchased some of Yamachan's recommended products. By the time we reached the summit, it was sunset time, and we were above the clouds. The sunset was not just red; it had layers of blue as well. After that, we descended a bit and had our bento in the car. Once we finished eating, we all looked up, and the sky was like a planetarium. We saw the Milky Way with the naked eye!!! We were even able to see Saturn through a telescope, which was incredibly moving. I think it's not an exaggeration to say that it was a refreshing experience for the soul. Yamachan's clear explanations about the stars and his consideration for each person were truly professional.

マウイは今回で４回目ですが、山へ行くのは初めて。時間通りにやまちゃんさんがホテルに迎えにきてくれました。行きの車中では、みんなの出身地を聞いたりして賑やかな時間でした。途中お土産屋さんへ立ち寄り、やまちゃんお薦め商品を試食して購入したりしました。山頂に着くころにはサンセットタイム、山頂は雲の上です。サンセットは赤いだけではなく、青い色との何層にもなってました。その後、少し下山して車中でお弁当。食べ終わり、みんなで下を向いて外へ、見上げた空はなんとプラネタリウムでした。肉眼で見る天の川！！！望遠鏡を使って土星も見ることができ、感動感動でした。命の洗濯ができたと言っても過言ではないと思います。やまちゃんのわかりやすい星の説明、一人一人への気遣いははプロ中のプロだと思いました。

The guide was a man named Rick, who was fluent in Japanese and had been a wedding planner until a year ago. He occasionally cracks dad jokes (laughs).

At Krispy Kreme along the way, I tried flavors that aren't available in Japan, and they were very delicious. I was told that among the ones sold here, they were on the less sweet side, but they were sweet enough for me.

We stopped by a supermarket to buy dinner, and I was excited to see some unusual sushi (laughs). This was also incredibly delicious.

Of course, the sunset and the starry sky were wonderful! I was able to see the green flash as the sun set, and although I wasn't expecting much from the starry sky because it was a full moon, I was able to see the Milky Way, which was very moving!

I wore a total of six layers, including Heattech, a T-shirt, a sweatshirt, and an inner down jacket, and I put on a rented down jacket on top, but I was still quite cold. However, I think it's worth participating even if it's cold!

ガイドはリックさんという、一年前までは結婚式のプランナーをされていたという、日本語ペラペラの方。たまにオヤジギャグも炸裂します（笑）
途中のクリスピークリームでは日本にないフレーバーのものをいただき、とても美味しかったです。こちらで販売している中では甘さ控え目とのことでしたが、充分甘かったです。
夕飯を購入しにスーパーへ立ち寄ったのですが、珍しいお寿司にテンションが上がりました（笑）こちらもすごく美味しかったです。
もちろん夕日も星空も素晴らしかったです！
夕日が沈むときにはグリーンフラッシュが見れ、満月だったので星空は期待していなかったのですが、天の川も見れ、とても感動しました！
私はヒートテックやＴシャツ、トレーナー、インナーダウンなど、計６枚着て、その上にレンタルのダウンを着たのですが、それでも全然寒かったです。
でも寒くても参加する価値はあると思います！

I participated with my 83-year-old mother-in-law and six family members. Twenty years ago, I went to see the sunrise with my own mother (75 years old) and my young daughter. This time, the starry sky was even more wonderful than the sunset! Yamachan's explanations and observations were so much fun!!! Thank you very much.

The weather in the lower region was sunny with occasional clouds. In the evening, as I approached the summit, the weather was good. The view from the top was amazing, with a beautiful sunset. As the sun set, the sky darkened, and after closing my eyes for a while, when I opened them, I could see the Milky Way beautifully in the sky. You can't see it this clearly in the lower region. After that, the weather changed suddenly, and it started to rain, so I couldn't see the stars. However, I heard that this tour allows for a partial refund to try again until you can see the beautiful stars, so I descended with hopes of joining the next tour.

The guide was incredibly attentive, engaging with each person individually and ensuring that everyone came together in the end. Since we were at an altitude of 3,000 meters, there was no need to worry about altitude sickness, as we had regular breaks and restroom stops. When we reached the summit, they even lent us down jackets for the cold. The moment the sunset over the sea of clouds from the mountaintop was breathtaking. After that, we used a telescope to view stars that can only be seen in Hawaii, and the guide shared a lot of fascinating information about astronomy. It was a tour that was never boring, both in terms of the location and the conversation.

I participated alone this time, but there were others who joined solo as well, and everyone had a friendly atmosphere, making it a truly enjoyable time. In addition to the wonderful sunset and the starry sky at the summit, the best part was the thoughtful care from our guide, Yamapi, which made it an unforgettable experience. I noticed other noisy tours and some that seemed rushed and focused only on efficiency, but if you're planning to climb Haleakalā, I absolutely recommend this one! Next time, I want to bring my parents to share the same wonderful experience.

We came to Maui for our honeymoon.
Our destination was Haleakalā.
Our guide was Rick.
He conveyed a very warm personality.
He explained the starry sky in a very detailed manner, and with his gentlemanly demeanor, I was really drawn to Rick's character and stories!

The sunset was breathtaking, with the sun sinking into a sea of clouds, like a carpet of clouds.
It was simply beautiful.
The starry sky was surprisingly cold for Hawaii, but it was so stunning that I didn't want to blink, and I was deeply moved.

I was moved when I climbed Haleakalā during a sunrise tour two years ago, but I can honestly say that this sunset tour provided a completely different and wonderful experience. I won't write too much since there will be others participating in the future, but I am truly grateful for the hospitality-filled setting provided by Yamapi. I would love to participate again.

一昨年別のツアーでサンライズでハレアカラに登った時も感動しましたが、今回のサンセットツアーでまったく違った素晴らしい体験をしたというのが偽らざる気持ちです。

We stayed in Maui for 7 nights on our honeymoon, and decided to visit Haleakalā, so my husband, my sister, and I participated together. As we gradually acclimated, we drove up and kept putting on more layers. It was quite cold, so I wore a borrowed down jacket over my own. The sunset and the starry sky were amazing. We even saw shooting stars, which was fantastic. For newlyweds, there’s the spirit Shakamanda that comes around a lot. It was incredible! The explanations were impressive as well. I highly recommend it! We were well taken care of by everyone.

ハネムーンでマウイに7泊しており、せっかくならハレアカラに行こうということで、主人と妹の3人で参加しました。段々と体をならしながら、車で登って行き段々と着込んでいきます。かなり寒いのでダウンの上にお借りしたダウンを着ました。最高のサンセットと星空。流れ星も見れて最高でした。新婚さんにはたくさんよってくる精霊シャカマンダ。これすごかったです！解説もさすがでした。オススメです！3人でお世話になりました。

There were 10 participants in the tour. Our guide was Rick, who had previously worked as a wedding planner in Honolulu. He was lively and attentive. I had expected the representative to guide us, but he was on a business trip to Japan, so Rick took over.

The participants joined us at a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts along the way, where we received one doughnut and a drink. There were two types of doughnuts: the original and a flavor not available in Japan. I thought it would have been better if the guide had asked for our preferences since the original can be found in Japan.

We made stops at souvenir shops and for restroom breaks to prevent altitude sickness before reaching the summit. We were able to see a beautiful sunset, and Rick took many photos for us. The scenery was breathtaking, changing my perspective on life. I felt the grandeur of the earth and the universe, and in that vastness, I felt small. It gave me courage to keep going.

We had a Japanese bento box in the car, which was fairly good. The warm tea was a nice touch. Next, we moved to a point where we could see the stars clearly. Once the chairs and telescopes were set up, we prepared for the cold and headed outside. I was amazed at how many stars there were. I realized that the North Star was lower in the sky, and being close to the equator in Maui was a new experience for me. We could clearly see the Big Dipper as well. I thought it would have been great to have the star chart I used in elementary school to better understand the explanations. Rick provided thorough explanations, and we got a good view of Venus, which was also impressive.

However, it was very cold outside. They provided some warm clothing, but it might be better to bring your own, especially a warm hat and gloves. Having Heattech would be even better.

I found the discussions about the silver sword plant and the nene bird to be very interesting.

軽快なトークと細やかな気遣いができる方でした。
代表の方のガイドを期待していたけど、日本へ出張されているとの事で代わりでした。

参加者は途中のクリスピークリームドーナッツで合流。ドーナッツ1個と飲み物のサービス。
ドーナッツはオリジナルと日本にはないフレーバーの２種類。ガイドさんが適当において行く。オリジナルは日本でも食べられるから好みを聞いて注文してくれればよいのにと思いました。

途中、高山病を防ぐ為にお土産屋さんやトイレ休憩をはさみ、山頂へ。
きれいなサンセットを観れました。写真もたくさん撮ってくれました。人生観変わるようなそんな景色に感動。大地・宇宙の雄大さを感じ、その中にいる小さな自分。がんばろう、と勇気をもらいました。

車中で日本食のお弁当。まぁまぁおいしい。温かいお茶もうれしいサービス。
次は星がよく見えるポイントへ移動。椅子や望遠鏡の準備が整ったら防寒の準備をしていざ、外へ。
こんなにも星ってあったんですね、と感動。北極星が下の方にあり、北半球でも赤道に近くマウイに来ているんだと改めて実感。北斗七星もきれいに柄杓が観れました。小学校で使った星図版を持って説明と聞けば良く理解出来ただろうな〜と。リックさんもきちんと説明してくれました。金星もよ〜く観れてまたまた感動。
でも外は寒い寒い・・・。防寒は貸してくれるけど自分でも持って行った方がよいかも。特に温かい帽子と手袋。ヒートテックもあればなおさらいいかも。

その他、銀剣草やネーネーの話は興味深く聞かせてもらいました。

I participated in a tour while traveling alone on Maui. They picked me up right in front of the hotel, and both Mr. Yamauchi and Rick kept the conversation enjoyable during the bus ride. They shared information about the sunset and stars, allowing me to have a great time even by myself! In the end, they even called the hotel for me, and I was very well taken care of!

The crescent moon was bright, and I thought that if it had been a new moon, I could have seen even more stars. However, the moon looked very beautiful, and I was extremely satisfied to see stars like the Southern Cross, which are hard to see in Japan! Thank you very much!!

1人でマウイ島の旅行をしていたところで、ツアーに参加しました。
ホテルの前まで迎えに来て頂き、山内さん、Rickさんともにバスの移動中も会話で楽しませて下さり、
sunsetも星も色々教えて下さり、1人でも十分楽しむことができました！
最後はホテルに電話までして頂き、とてもお世話になりました！

三日月が明るく、新月だったらもっと星が見えたのかと思いますが、その分、月がとても綺麗に見え、
星も南十字星など日本ではなかなか見ることの出来ないものも見えて大満足です！！

Unfortunately, the weather was not great (>_<), so even though we made it to the summit, we couldn't see the starry sky. However, I appreciate that there is compensation for a free participation next time! I'm really looking forward to it! I wonder when I can go again＾＾

Thanks to Yamapi's friendly personality, everyone was able to chat and have a great time together. I was also happy to try the new items at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on the way there; they were delicious!♪

In February, I went to Maui for my honeymoon and wanted to experience not just the ocean but also the mountains, so I participated in this tour. The sunset and starry sky viewed above the clouds were exquisite. The summit had an unusually strong wind, making it difficult to stand, but the colors of the sun and sky were incredibly beautiful and moving.

During the stargazing time, the already clear starry sky was breathtaking, and with the use of three telescopes, we were shown various stars and received detailed explanations, which made it enjoyable. On the drive to Haleakalā, we talked about Maui, and I received a lot of information.

If I have the opportunity to go again in the summer, I would love to participate in seeing the summer constellations.

2月にhoneymoonでマウイに行き、海だけではなく山も体験したいと思い参加しました。
雲の上て見る夕陽と星空は絶品でした。山頂は稀に見る強風で、立っているのもやっとといった感じでしたが、太陽や空の色はとても綺麗でかんどうしました。
星空の時間帯にも、ただでさえ澄んだ星空で感動なのに、３つの望遠鏡を駆使しながら、あらゆる星を見せてくださったり、解説も細かくしていただき楽しめました。
ハレアカラまでのドライブ中にも、マウイのことを話しながら向かってくださり、沢山の情報をいただきました。

また夏に行く機会があったら、夏の星座を見に参加させて頂きたいです。

I participated with a female friend. Our guide was Rick. He greeted us politely when we first met and was considerate throughout the experience, making it really enjoyable. He also suggested fun ways to take sunset photos, and we got some great shots.

It was really cold, but I was relieved that we could borrow down jackets, blankets, and gloves. The stargazing was absolutely beautiful, and he explained everything in detail in Japanese, which was moving and exciting.

I definitely want to participate again!

女友達と2人で参加しました。ガイドはリックさん。お会いした時の始めのご挨拶も丁寧で、終始お気遣い頂き、すごく楽しかったです。サンセットの楽しい写真の撮り方も提案して下さり、イイ写真が撮れました。
すごく寒かったけど、ダウンや毛布や手袋が借りられてたすかりました。
星空観測もとーーーっても綺麗で、日本語で丁寧に説明してくれるし、感動と興奮でした(^-^)
また必ず参加したいです！

Although there was some rain and strong winds at lower altitudes, as we ascended, the weather cleared up and there was no wind, making it a perfect day for sunset and stargazing. The sea of clouds at 3,055 meters, the twilight after sunset, and the starry sky were sights I had never seen before. It was truly wonderful. I believe it would be impossible to reach the summit of Haleakalā on my own, so I was glad to have been taken there. I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

下は所々雨が降ったり、風が強かったりしたのですが、上へ上がるにつれ、お天気になり風もなく、絶好のサンセット＆星空日和でした。３０５５ｍでの雲海、サンセット後の薄明、満天の星空・・・今までに一度も見たことのない光景でした。本当に素晴らしかったです。夜のハレアカラ山頂へは、個人では到底行けないところだと思いますので、連れて行ってもらってよかったと思いました。また機会があれば参加したいです。
