My friends and I went on this tour because we heard really great reviews from other vacationers, and we are so happy that we went with Pride of Maui. When we first got to the boat to check-in, there was coffee set and breakfast waiting for us the moment we stepped on the boat. The crew on board were really interactive with all the guests, getting to know us and making sure we had a great time on board. Snorkeling at Molokini was incredible! The water was crystal clear and we saw tons of fish. After Molokini, we had a BBQ lunch that was grilled on board and delicious! It was a full tour but luckily there was tons of open seating on the top deck, which was awesome. I also chose to SNUBA and that was AMAZING! Reed, was a great SNUBA instructor and made you feel super comfortable in the water. Harold was the videographer who also put together a fantastic video and photos that you can purchase at the end of the trip as well. I am so happy we went on this tour and I will remember it forever!

Superb Crew Hospitality & Premium snorkeling spots in Maui

The Crew aboard the Aqua Adventure are 2nd to NONE. Each and every member was awake and energetic at 6:30a and very hospitable from the moment we were in line reading the waivers. They were very respectful and helpful in every manner; they safely stored our shoes then firmly held our hands and arms to help us securely board the boat and engaged in getting to know us as they picked out the perfect snorkeling gear sizes for us. The Boat as well as Snorkeling instructions from the Captain were very informative yet personable with some light humor. At both snorkeling spots 1-2 of the crew members voluntarily guided us to the best snorkeling spots if we wanted to follow and showed us the largest sea turtles we have ever seen as well as an octopus and a starfish! The boat speaks for itself with the 2 350hp Cummings Diesel engines that made powering thru the fast wind from the North a piece of cake. Other tours had to take a much longer detour to get back due to the lack of horsepower

We went with 4 kids, 2 grandmas and an aunt- hoping to see whales. What we had was a humorous and informative host, as well, amazing videos and pictures of a full 90 min whale adventure. The captain took us to a few spots, but we were lucky enough to see everything from tail splashing, diving under our boat, fin waving and blow hole splashing. We all had a great time!

Has a great time! The crew was very nice and we enjoyed the ride. I think for the money we spent if people want a wetsuite top they shouldn't charge and extra $5. It kind of cheapens the experience. But, that being said it's a worthwhile adventure. Were glad we did it because snorkeling at the crate was awesome!

On March 29, 2013, I went with my family of three (10-year-old boy). We were able to see quite a few spouts here and there and encountered more whales than we expected. Thanks to the captain searching for various spots, we were able to see them frequently, which was moving. Of course, we were also able to take pictures of tails and jumps. I brought my EOS Kiss X6i with a 135mm lens, but for more impactful photos, a 300mm lens might be better.

It was quite windy on the water, making it very cold, so a jacket is essential. The boat also swayed a lot, so preparation and readiness are necessary. However, my wife, who usually gets seasick, was able to enjoy the tour without any issues. We drove directly to the meeting point (Lahaina Dock) with a rental car. There is free street parking for up to three hours, but considering our plans to explore Lahaina afterward, we parked in a public lot ($16 for 2-6 hours). Since it was an early morning plan, both options were available, but it might be difficult to find parking nearby if you go later in the day.

結構あちらこちらで潮吹きが見られ、思ったより沢山のクジラに遭遇することができました。
キャプテンが色々とスポットを探してくれたせいか、ポンポン見れる感じで、感動しました。
もちろん、シッポやジャンプの写真もとることができました。
EOS-KissX6i+135mmのセットを持っていきましたが、迫力ある写真を撮ろうとすると300mmくらいあったほうが良いかもしれません。
海上は風があって、かなり寒いので、上着が必須なのと、かなり船が揺れるため、準備と覚悟が必要です。ただし、船に弱い妻も、船酔いすることなくツアーを楽しむことができました。
我が家はレンタカーで直接集合場所（ラハイナドック）に行きました。
３時間まで無料の路上Pもありますが、その後のラハイナ散策も考慮して公共Pに車を駐車しました。（2-6Hで$16）早朝プランだったので、どちらも空いていましたが、遅い時間だと近場に駐車スペースを見つけるのに苦労するかもしれません。

On March 30, 2013, I went with my family of three (10-year-old boy). The water clarity was somewhat low that day, and it felt like there were fewer tropical fish. However, we were able to encounter sea turtles. We were able to rent wet suits, so the 30-minute snorkeling was fine. On the way back, we enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere while sailing, and during the trips to and from the snorkeling spot, we also encountered whales together. They were quite close and impressive. Unfortunately, there was no Japanese-speaking crew, but it wasn't a problem at all.

We participated as a couple during the New Year holidays. Having joined various tours on overseas trips and met Japanese staff, I can say that the female staff here were incredibly attentive and made everything feel perfect, resulting in a very enjoyable tour.

When the sea turtles were not surfacing and I was feeling cold and ready to give up and head back to the boat, one of the staff encouraged me to wait a little longer, assuring me that I would definitely see them. Thanks to that, within 20 seconds, the long-awaited sea turtle swam right in front of me.

Did you see it? You saw it, right? They celebrated with me.

Additionally, although there were mostly foreigners and only about ten Japanese guests, during lunch, they arranged for us to be in the best position and at the best timing, allowing us to be first in line and enjoy our meal.

I truly appreciate all the help we received.

年末年始に夫婦2人で参加しました。
何度か海外旅行で色んなツアーに参加して、日本人スタッフにもお会いして来ましたが、
こちらの女性スタッフは本当に痒い所に手が届くような接し方で本当に気持ちよく全てがパーフェクト、とても楽しいツアーになりました。
海カメがなかなか浮上せず、寒くて寒くてもうダメ…船に上がる…と帰りかけた私に「あと少し待ってごらん、絶対見れるから…と引き留めて下さった、そのお陰で20秒もしないうちに、念願の海亀が私の目の前を堂々と泳いで行きました。
見た？見れたね？一緒に喜んでくれました。

それに外人だらけで日本人の客は10人弱だったけれど、ランチの時はベストポジション＆ベストタイミングで並ばせてくれて、お陰様で1番で並び、食べる事が出来ました。

本当にお世話になりました。

I participated in a very affordable early morning plan. Shortly after departure, we spotted whales, and the excitement on the boat was incredible! As we continued, whales appeared here and there, and I didn't know where to look! I learned for the first time that whales travel in groups; I thought they only traveled as mothers and their calves. It was quite windy and cold on the boat, so a jacket is necessary. Still, taking pictures of the whales is quite challenging.

Since it's close to the hotel, we chose to depart from Ka'anapali Beach. I was wondering where to board since there wasn't a pier, but you actually get on the boat from the beach. It feels a bit like a fun attraction, which is enjoyable. I sat in a hammock seat, so it felt different from usual, and there were some people lounging around.

You might be able to see whales up close depending on luck, so it can vary each time, but I recommend it for those visiting during this season!

Also, please be cautious as there are places where you might get wet.

I've seen hula shows at shopping centers, but this was my first time seeing such an authentic hula performance, and I was truly moved!

During the show, when the lights dimmed as part of the performance, I looked up at the sky and saw a sky full of stars, which was also breathtaking!

The staff was friendly (perhaps a bit too friendly?!), and the food was delicious, which made me very satisfied. The lack of guidance or explanations in Japanese added to the exotic atmosphere, which I really appreciated.

My husband and I participated the day after our arrival in Maui, but due to bad weather, we couldn't see the stars at the summit because it was foggy. We returned and rescheduled for two days later to try again.

I heard that the only way to do a comeback with just the cost of lunch and the national park entrance fee (a total of $15) is through Maui All Stars.

Two days later, the weather improved, and we were able to see a sea of clouds, a beautiful sunset with the green flash, the shadow of the Earth, and a bright moon close to full moon, along with a moonbow that can only be seen when there is no water vapor in the distance.

Our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, mentioned that since the full moon was approaching, the stars were not as visible as usual, but we were still able to see many stars, including those not visible in Japan, the profile of Mickey on the moon, and the stripes of Jupiter.

While listening to explanations under the stars, they provided chairs, large blankets, and warm tea, allowing us to lean back and slowly gaze at the stars. Standing and looking up can be tiring on the neck, but sitting in a chair is very comfortable.

This is also a thoughtful gesture from Mr. Yamauchi based on his experience. He set up the telescopes and arranged chairs for the participants without even having lunch himself. It's no surprise that many people have commented on Mr. Yamauchi's character in their experiences.

Since I don't often have the opportunity to see stars, I had a very valuable experience thanks to Mr. Yamauchi. Next time, I would like to participate when it is as far from the full moon as possible.

主人と二人でマウイ到着翌日に参加しましたが、悪天候のため頂上まで行っても霧がかかっていて星は見られる状態ではなく帰ってきて、スケジュールを空けていた２日後にリベンジしました。

お弁当と国立公園の入園料（計＄１５）のみでリベンジできるのは、マウイオールスターズだけだと聞いています。

２日後は天候も回復して、雲海、美しいサンセットと共にグリーンフラッシュ、地球の影、そして満月近くの明るい月と遠くに水蒸気が発生していないと見えないムーンボウまで見ることができました。

ガイドの山内さんは満月が近いから星がいつもよりは見えていないとおっしゃいますが、星もたくさん見ることができ、日本では見えない星、月面の横顔ミッキー、木星の縞模様も見られました。

たくさんの星を見ながら説明を聞く時は、イスと大きいブランケット、温かいお茶を用意して下さるので、背もたれに頭を預けて上を向いてゆっくり星が見られます。
立って上を見ていると首が疲れますが、イスに座るととても楽チンです。

これも山内さんのご経験からの心遣いです。
お弁当も食べずに参加者のためにイスを出して望遠鏡などをセットしていらっしゃいました。
体験談で山内さんのお人柄にふれている方が多いのも納得です。


普段なかなか星を見る機会がないので、山内さんのお陰でとても貴重な体験ができました。
次回はなるべく満月から遠い時に参加したいと思います。

I went whale watching from Lahaina on Maui with a Japanese guide named Gaito. At first, I thought we might only see them from a distance, but to my surprise, a mother and baby whale came very close, jumping and waving, and we even got to see the whale's tail up close. Saori from Gaito was very kind, which was great. We also received juice and snack vouchers. It was a very enjoyable two hours that flew by.

Since it's my first time visiting Maui in winter, I definitely wanted to go whale watching, but I wasn't confident in my English, so I joined this tour where a Japanese staff member would be on board.

When I arrived at Lahaina Harbor, I was surprised by the crowd of people. It was a bit difficult to find the tour desk, but after checking in and sitting on a bench, Satomi, the staff member, approached us. Since we were the only Japanese people there, she stayed with us the whole time, sharing lots of information about whales, which felt like a great deal.

Of course, we saw plenty of whales; they were splashing their tails everywhere, and three of them swam right alongside the boat, which made for a very satisfying whale watching experience. The pizza place that Satomi recommended was also delicious.

初めて冬のマウイに行くので、ホエールウォッチングは絶対行きたいけれど英語に自信がないので、日本人スタッフが一緒に乗船してくれるこのツアーに参加しました。
ラハイナ港に着くと人人人で人の多さにびっくりです。
ツアーデスクを探すのに、少し見つけにくかったのですが、受付が終わってベンチに座っていると、すぐにスタッフのさとみさんが声をかけてくださり、ちょうど私たちだけが日本人ということで、ずっと付いてくださって、鯨の話をいろいろ聞けてお得感満載でした。
もちろん鯨もたくさん見れて、あちこちで鯨が尾びれをバシャバシャしてましたし、3頭が仲良く船のすぐ近くまで並走してくれたり大満足のホエールウォッチングでした。
さとみさんお勧めのピザ屋さんも美味しかったです。

We participated as a family. The sunset at Haleakalā was amazing!!!! The starry sky was great too!!! We saw a lot of shooting stars. Since it is at a lower elevation than Mauna Kea on the Big Island, it was easier physically. I think it's good for elderly people and small children. I want to go again.

This was my first time on Maui, and I signed up for the most popular tour. However, it exceeded my expectations! I was able to see many whales and swim with sea turtles, which was a wonderful experience.

There were really very few Japanese people on Maui, and I was worried because the guide who picked us up couldn't speak Japanese, but I was relieved that a Japanese staff member accompanied us and provided thorough explanations. I would love to participate again when I visit Maui next time. I experienced a bit of seasickness this time, so I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take some medication before joining.

　今回、初めてのマウイ島でとりあえず、一番人気のこのコースに申し込みました。
　ですが、予想以上によかったです！　クジラは沢山みれるわ海亀と一緒におよげたし、すばらしい体験ができました。

マウイ島では日本人が本当に少なく迎えにたガイドさんも日本語が出来ない方だったので心配でしたが、ちゃんと日本人スタッフが付き添ってくださり、丁寧な説明もしてくれたのでたすかりました！　またマウイ島にいったら参加したいです

I participated in a whale watching tour in late January with my sixth-grade son. We traveled all the way to Maui to show him whales, which are hard to see in Japan, in person.

The boat was large enough to accommodate over 100 people, but there were only a few passengers that day, with four Japanese and a few foreigners on the first floor, allowing for a comfortable seating arrangement. A Japanese guide was also on board, providing detailed explanations.

Before boarding, I was filled with anxiety about whether we would actually see any whales, but shortly after setting sail, we spotted whale spouts in various directions. The captain steered the boat toward them, and we quickly arrived near the whales.

After that, we could see whales all around us without even having to search, and I was able to capture their trademark cute tails on camera. It seems that around February to early March, about 4,000 whales come close to Maui.

Of course, my son was also thrilled with the impressive whales. The two-hour boat ride passed by much quicker than I expected, and I didn’t even have time to feel seasick.

During the cruise, we received a ticket that could be exchanged for either two drinks or a drink and a dessert or snack. I think the cost performance is excellent.

I highly recommend whale watching in Maui during the winter!

一月下旬にホエールウォッチングに参加させていただきました。小6の息子との二人旅。日本では　なかなか見ることのできないクジラを生で見せてあげたくて　マウイ島まで渡りました。
100人以上乗れる大きな船でしたが、その日は乗客も少なめで一階には日本人が4人と外国人が数人で椅子もゆったり。船には　日本人のガイドの方も一緒に乗っていただいたので
詳しい説明も聞けました。
乗るまでは、本当にクジラが見えるかどうか不安がいっぱいでしたが、出航して間もなくクジラの潮が沖のあちこちに見えました。　船長さんが　その方向に舟を走らせます。
あっという間に　クジラの近くに到着。
そのあとは、探さなくても　四方八方にクジラが見えてトレードマークのかわいい尻尾も　ちゃんとカメラに収めることができました。
大体二月から三月の頭くらいは　約4000頭のクジラがマウイ島の近くにやってくるそうです。
もちろん息子も　迫力満点のクジラに大満足。
二時間の船は　思ったよりあっという間に過ぎてしまい、船酔いする間もありませんでした。

Turtle Town & Molokini Snorkel Tour with Breakfast & Lunch - Aloha Blue Charters

We take this excursion to Molikini and Turtle Island every time we visit Maui. The crew of the catamaran, Capt Fish, David and Gary were amazing. They kept us safe, hydrated with water (or adult beverages), and made sure everyone that got in the water, got out of the water.

They also had a professional photographer who made sure everyone had a grand time, and preserved it on a CD you will not believe. The colors light up and we are glad he was along. We didn't have to worry about taking pictures.

We saw lots of whales, beautiful fish, but were a bit short on the turtles.

The selection of meats, cheeses and salad for lunch were a surprise. The sandwiches were easy to assemble, the bread was fresh, and it was just really good.

My husband and I have been to the Old Lahaina Luau and prefer it to this one hands down. Drums of the Pacific seemed corny, as another reviewer posted. The emcee sounded like a barker for a side show..."and now the GRRREEAATT, the FaNTAAAASSSTIC, So-And-So (can't remember the name of the dancer) performing the ...whatever. My brother and his wife, first time visitors, were with us and enjoyed it. We didn't tell them any different so as not to spoil their evening. For first timers, it's OK but if you want culture and history, Old Lahaina Luau is far better.

When it comes to traveling to Maui, whale watching is a must. I had heard that you could see them from the shore, but I thought it would be better to see them up close from a boat, so I made a reservation.

After about an hour of heading out to sea, we stopped the engine and waited for the whales. Before long, two whales appeared near the boat. I was thrilled to see their beautiful tails up close, just like in the catalogs. My wife and kids were busy taking photos.

Over the course of about 30 minutes, the whales appeared around the boat multiple times, allowing us to observe them closely.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the whales, pointing out when the same whale returned by recognizing its tail and sharing information about the ecosystem. They were also kind to the kids, making it a very enjoyable experience.

海岸からも見られると聞いていましたが、船の方が近くから見えると思い、予約しました。

1時間ほど沖へ進んだところでエンジンを停止してくじらを待ちます。

This was an ultimate favorite trip with Hawaii activities. The most interesting part for us was the star sky and our two guides Greg and Chris. They were so impressive good to tell about the stars and volcanoes. So Hawaii activities be sure to keep those two guys as loooong as possible. Worth every penny!

The sunset was beautiful, but I was also impressed by the magnificence of the night sky! The meal was a delicious makunouchi bento, which was a relief for my stomach after eating so much bread. The guide's slightly poignant stories were moving and felt like a cleansing for my heart.

However, those with a slight cold should be cautious! I ended up with acute aerotitis media and had to have my eardrum surgically opened after returning home.

Next time, I would love to see the summer night sky!

夕日もさることながら、夜空の素晴らしさも感激しました！
食事もおいしい幕の内弁当で、パン食続きだった胃にはありがたかったです。
ガイドの方のちょっとしんみりと考えさせられるお話も私的には心が洗い流されるようで感動しました。

ただ、鼻風邪気味の方は要注意！急性航空性中耳炎になってしまい、帰国してから鼓膜を切開しました。

今度は夏の夜空も見てみたいな！と思います。

We wanted to experience a Luau. It was our first time to the islands. Even though the weather was less than great we had a great time. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to have the luau experience. The food was great.

Four Winds Deluxe Molokini Snorkel Tour with Breakfast, Taco Bar Lunch & Drinks

I chose the four winds II because of the glass bottom viewing. We are a family of 4 and 2 swim and 2 do not. All had a great time. Snorkeling was great and saw some whales and turtles on our way back. The pulled pork sandwiches they serve onboard after snorkeling were the best. Would do this again.
