The waters around Maui were calm because they are surrounded by islands. There were whales everywhere, and I was wondering which one to see up close. The schedule was perfectly on time. The course we chose departed at noon, but since we had to spend a lot of time outside the boat while watching the whales, the sunlight was quite strong, so I recommend a course that finishes in the morning. It seems that more whales will be coming in mid-February. Our Japanese guide, Taka, was very kind and taught us many things. Thank you very much.

マウイ島の海は、島々に囲まれているため海が穏やかでした。
いたるところにクジラがいて、どのクジラを近くで見ようかな？といった具合でした。
スケジュール進行もばっちり時間通りでした。
私たちの選んだコースは１２時発だったのですが、クジラを見る際、どうしても船の外にいる時間が長く日差しがきつかったので、午前に終われるコースがお勧めです。
これから２月中旬にかけて、もっとクジラがやってくるみたいです。
日本人ガイドのタカさんは、とても親切で色々な事を教えていただけました。

Very fun and entertaining better than expected. Will definatly recommend to friends on the Island.

I purchased in advance despite the lack of discounts because I was supposed to receive a souvenir coupon and a ceramic mug coupon. However, I found out that I needed to spend over $35 on souvenirs to qualify.

There was a priority entrance lane for advance purchasers at the entrance, but it wasn't functioning, and the list verification took a long time. I don't think there are any benefits to purchasing in advance.

As soon as we set sail, we encountered several whales near the city, and we ventured quite far, making for a fulfilling two hours. Thanks to choosing the early morning plan, not only was the price affordable, but we also enjoyed a beautiful sunrise, and the boat was not crowded, allowing us to move around to see the whales in different directions. Additionally, we were able to easily park at the Public Parking near the dock.

　出航してすぐ、街の近くでも複数のクジラに会えましたが、結構遠くまで足を延ばしてくれ、充実した２時間でした。
　早朝プランにしたおかげで、料金が安いだけでなく、綺麗な日の出も楽しめ、船内が空いているのでクジラの出る方向に合わせて前後左右へ移動できたのも良かったです。また、船着き場近くのPublic Parkingにも簡単に停められました。
　

Attended the 7am tour: first van, then helicopter. We were paired with another family of three.

Beautiful scenery, articulate tour guide named Sue, delicious and filling light lunch, and the helicopter ride was unsurprisingly a treat (lasted around 20-30 min). See my photos of both the Road to Hana van ride and helicopter ride for reference. The best is going into the sky on a partially overcast day, because the pilot will take you cloud-surfing.

The whole tour lasted around four hours.

Wonderfull experience, it is windy and cold up there, be prepared to get lot and lots of warm clothes, View is magnificent. This was one of the best tour in Maui. The guide provided us lot of information and was very good. My kids loved it.

We loved this luau. Great food, beautiful setting, and the Lei's were the perfect touch. The activities they had for children had them entertained while we waited for the show to start. I would go again for sure!!

The sunrise tour on Maui was great, but honestly, there wasn't much else to do, and since there were no Japanese people around and my English isn't very good, I thought I probably wouldn't come back. I joined this tour on a whim the day before... I even booked it in the evening local time and printed out the voucher at the hotel. However, I was able to have various conversations with the guide, who was very considerate, and most importantly, I got to see sea turtles and many fish right in front of me, and I spotted whales multiple times during the trip... It was moving. And the lunch was delicious too.

マウイ島はサンライズツアーして良かったけどそれ以外に何もないし日本人が全く居なくて英語が得意じゃないからもぅ、来ることも無いかなぁ〜って正直思っていたし、このツアーに参加したのもダメ元で前日に…しかも現地時間夕方に申し込みホテルでバウチャーのプリントアウトした程でした……が、ガイドさんとは色んな話ができたし細やかな配慮して頂いたし何よりも海亀や沢山の魚が凄い目の前で見れて移動中に何度も何度も鯨が見れました……感動的です。そしてランチも美味しかった

I spent a few hours researching activities to do during our honeymoon to Maui. We decided that due to the exorbitant cost of drinks in any resort or restaurant we decided that an open bar cruise was going to be a great and cost effective experience.

I wasn't disappointed! The cruise was absolutely awesome. We saw at least 25 whales throughout the course of the evening which was fantastic.

The drinks were top notch as well. They had a huge number different top shelf liquors and made great drinks all night.

The crew was fantastic. They went over the top to take care of everybody's needs and made sure everyone was having a great time. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone that wants to see gorgeous views, enjoy great drinks, and have an awesome crew.

It was not the boat we paid for, food was average, tables were small and crowded, music was distortion,

I would recommend to book this trip instead of drive by yourself. You don't have to drive very early in the morning and there are lots of turns. Our guide gave some very interesting information and local stories.

I participated in a tour at the beginning of December. At the time, I didn't know that the whale watching season runs from December to May, so I was really worried whether we would actually see any since it had just turned December. As expected, no whales appeared no matter how long we waited. The guide also mentioned that we might not see any, but in the end, a mother and baby whale showed up. Ultimately, it turned out to be a satisfying tour.

１２月の初めのツアーに参加しました。参加した時は知らなっ方のですが、ホエールウオッチングの季節は１２月から５月ということで、まだ１２月になったばかりで本当に見えるのか心配でした。案の定待っても待っても現れません。はんば諦めガイドの方も見れないかも知れないと言っていたのですが最後に親子のクジラが現れました。最終的には満足のいくツアーになりました。

We booked this cruise as a celebration for our engagement, and could not have been more pleased with the experience. The boat left a little later than posted, closer to 5:15, but it was good that they told us to arrive at 4:45 so we were not late, and others didnt slow us down. The crew welcomed us, gave us a run down on emergency procedures and rules, and we set sail! It was gorgeous out on the water. Jason, our captain, kept everyone informed and excited about the whales around us. We really appreciated that. They gave us a shout out over the PA for our engagement, and everyone toasted to our happiness. The crew, bartenders, captain and staff all made us feel special. The food was delicious, especially the shrimp and the artichoke dip. Full open bar (no champagne, but great wine and booze selection) and cheese platters, fruit, dessert. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We participated as a couple on November 20, 2014. There were only one other Japanese couple besides us, but the Japanese staff member Takako was very attentive. She provided careful assistance with everything from the boarding process, snorkeling gear rental, diving into the sea, to the meals. The water clarity was amazing, and you could easily see the seabed. There weren't many fish, but I think it was sufficient for those who haven't experienced scuba diving. We were also able to see sea turtles. At Black Rock, we could only see "floating" turtles, but here we saw "swimming" turtles. The meal was delicious hamburgers, and beer and Mai Tais were all-you-can-drink. On the way back, we also enjoyed some cookies. It was a wonderful tour, so I highly recommend it to those who haven't experienced it yet.

For those participating in the tour, I think it's important to keep the following points in mind. It's better to have motion sickness medication. Both my spouse and I got seasick... I underestimated it because there weren't many mentions of seasickness in other reviews. Next, it's better to bring or rent a wetsuit. Honestly, the sea is cold. Having a wetsuit makes it much warmer. You can borrow goggles and fins when you receive them (I think it was $10), so it's okay if you don't bring your own. Also, I think there are some jellyfish (we both got stung), so it could serve as protection.

Regarding transportation, it was fine. I felt that many other tours had local meet-ups, but this tour provided proper pick-up (we stayed at the Westin). The other participants were a couple from America and France.

Finally, my experience: the foreign participants were very kind, and I had a lot of fun with them, for which I am very grateful. They helped me with translation when boarding (from difficult long English sentences to short broken English). They also took care of me when I got seasick... I don't think you can have such experiences on a tour with only Japanese participants. If you're coming to Maui, I think such experiences are great.

2014/11/20に夫婦で参加しました。
日本人は私たちともう一組しかいませんでしたが、日本人スタッフのタカコさんが大変気を配って下さいました。
船の乗船手続き、シュノーケルセットの貸し出し、海へのダイブ、食事まで、全てに丁寧な対応をしてくれました。
海の透明度は素晴らしく、楽勝で海底が見えます。
魚はそれほど多くはいませんでしたが、スキューバ体験していない方にとっては十分だと思います。
ウミガメも見ることができました。
ブラックロックでは「浮いている」亀しか見ることができませんでしたが、ここでは「泳いでいる」亀を見ることができました。
食事もおいしいハンバーガーで、ビールとマイタイは飲み放題でした。
帰り道ではクッキーのつまみも頂きました。
素晴らしいツアーですので、未体験の方にはぜひおすすめです。

これからツアーに参加する方は以下の点に注意した方がいいと思います。
酔い止めの薬はあった方が良いと思います。夫婦で船酔いになりました・・・。
他の方の書き込みであまり船酔いについて書いてなかったのでナメでました。
次に、ウエットスーツは持参かレンタルした方が良いです。
正直、海が冷たいです。ウエットスーツがあるとかなり暖かくなるので。
ゴーグル、フィンを支給されるときに一緒に借りれるので（10ドルだったかな）持参していなくても大丈夫です。
またクラゲが多少いると思いますので（夫婦で刺されました）防護服代わりにもなるかと思います。
送迎についてですが、大丈夫です。
他のツアーでは現地集合が多いように感じましたが、こちらのツアーはきっちり送迎してもらえました（宿泊はウエスティン）。
なお同乗した方はアメリカ、フランスの夫妻でした。

最後に体験談です。同乗した外国の方々が大変優しく、ご一緒してとても楽しく、感謝感激でした。
乗船の際に通訳してもらいました（難しい長文英語から短い片言英語に）。
船酔いした時に介抱してもらいました・・・。
日本人ばかりのツアーではこういった体験はできないと思います。
せっかくマウイに来たのであればこういった体験も良いのではないでしょうか。

Aloha, we (my boyfriend and I) are residents of Maui and attended the pride of Maui dinner/cocktail cruise for my pre birthday celebration this past Saturday. It was quite enjoyable despite the larger swells as we headed out along the coast. The food was fantastic, the crew was friendly and the bar was all you can drink so we were content. We enjoyed the experience for the deal that we were able to receive but I beleive if we had to pay full price we wouldn't have enjoyed it as much and would hope to expect more out of the experience. No one can help the weather or the ocean conditions but it felt like we were on a snorkeling boat standing up or sitting with no table eating dinner so it was a little steep in my opinion.

The tour is mainly in English with many non-Japanese participants, but staff member Takako provides explanations in Japanese, which is reassuring. Breakfast is light with cakes, sweet bread, and fruits, but there are plenty of drinks available, and lunch seemed delicious (I couldn't eat due to seasickness!). You can choose one item from several options like hamburgers and hot dogs. Drinks like cola and beer are plentiful. There are separate restrooms for men and women. There are also three types of floatation devices, which is comforting. The boat is fairly large, but three Japanese participants turned green from seasickness, so it might be a good idea to take medication beforehand. Overall, it was very good, but one downside was that the docking location was at the far end on the left side of the harbor, and there was no explanation, so I had to search around. During busy times, the parking lot is at the aquarium above the harbor. In December, the weather seems to be bad, and we couldn't go to Molokini due to strong winds, so we went to a different spot, but everyone seemed to have a good time.

日本人以外が多く、英語が主のツアーですが、スタッフのタカコさんが日本語で丁寧に説明してくれるので安心です。朝食はケーキや甘いパンとフルーツで軽くですが、飲物は十分出してくれますし、ランチは美味しかったようです。（私は船酔いで食べられず！）
ハンバーガー、ホットドック等、数種類から１つ選びます。飲物はコーラ、ビール等十分にもらえます。トイレは男女別に１つづつあり。浮具も３種類あり、安心です。まずまず大きい舟ですが、日本人は３人船酔いで青い顔になりましたので、薬飲んで行ったほうがいいかも。とても良かったのですが、１つ難点としては、舟の停泊場所がハーバーの左手一番奥で、説明がなかったので探し回りました。混み合う時は駐車場はハーバーの上にある水族館のところを使います。１２月は天気が悪いようで、モロキニは強風で行けず、別のポイントとなりましたが、みなさん楽しそうでした。

We were blessed with good weather, and it was a fun tour that we could participate in with peace of mind. I was surprised by the phone call the day before regarding the change in tour time (all in English), but I managed to understand and get through it. On the day of the tour, it was great that a Japanese staff member was on board to provide detailed advice.

好天にも恵まれ、安心して参加できるツアーで、楽しい時間でした。
前日にツアー時間変更の電話連絡（全て英語）には驚きましたが、なんとか理解して乗り切りましたが。
当日は、日本人スタッフも乗船いただき細かなアドバイスもあり良かったです。

Expectations where high when we set out for this sunset tour 30th of december 2014 but there were no sunset to be found. A cold front passed Maui this evening and we were sitting in the bus at the top of mount Haleakala for 50 min just watching rain and wind passing by in cold , cold weather.
The guide did a fine job trying to fill out for the missing sunset but was up against uneven odds.
So be aware of the weather conditions since this can reduce the value and outcome considerately.
We were very surprised that the operator didn't cancelled the tour or at least warned us about the conditions so we could have a choice to participate or not.
The dinner was fine but surprisingly enough we didn't have much time to enjoy it so we was in a bit of a hurry to get finished in time

The food was surprisingly good and the entertainment was enjoyable. There was a nice combination of new and old school tricks. The magician is seasoned, but sometimes it felt as though he was 'phoning it in.' I did like that the whole family is involved in the show (the magician's family), but I have to admit, I felt uncomfortable a few times with the outfits on the assistant (his wife). Overall though, good affordable family entertainment!

When I first went to the ticket booth, I was told that there was only a different time available. When I went back at that time, I received a coupon that could be used inside for free, which I exchanged for tickets and potato chips on the boat. Once I saw a whale, I started to see them one after another, which was thrilling. However, the most disappointing part was that, although I suddenly encountered a scene where the whale jumped vertically, everyone was starting to get bored and I didn't have my camera ready. I realized the importance of always being prepared with my camera and not giving up on capturing moments.

最初にチケット売り場へ行くと、違う時間しかないとのことで、再度その時間に行ったところ、中で使えるクーポンをタダでもらえ船の中でチケットとポテトチップスなどと交換できた。クジラは、１度みえると次々と見え出し感動したが、もっとも残念だったのは、よく写真にあるような垂直に飛び上がる場面が突然出くわしたものの、みんなそろそろ飽きてきたころなので、カメラを構えていなかったことです。なにごともあきらめずカメラをずっと構えている心がけが必要と痛感しました。

The guides, Yamapi and Rick, were polite gentlemen with proper manners. On the way to Haleakalā, we stopped at a viewpoint where they set up binoculars for whale watching. Thanks to them, I was thrilled to see a whale surface! The weather was great that day with no wind, and Haleakalā offered the best views. The guide was very accommodating, matching the pace of the participants, which made for a very pleasant experience. I look forward to seeing you again on my next trip to Maui. ガイドのヤマピーさんとRickさんは礼儀正しく、言葉遣いもキチンとされてる紳士。ハレアカラに向かう途中見晴台に止まり、双眼鏡を設置してクジラ見学もさせてくれました。おかげでクジラが頭を出した所が見れて感激！その日は風もなく良い天気で、ハレアカラは最高の景色でした。参加者のペースに合わせたアットホームなガイドで、とても気持ちよく参加できました。次にマウイに行く時もよろしくお願いしますね。PS:ヤマピーさん、写真待ってます。Mr.&Mrs. T

I might have had too high expectations for the mystery of the ocean, but the underwater visibility was low, making it difficult to see the fish and coral.

海の中は神秘的と期待しすぎていたからかもしれないが、海中は、透明度が低く、魚やサンゴがみえにくかった。

You can fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of Maui. Although the guide was only in English, I was able to communicate to some extent, perhaps because I wasn't with a native speaker. If you don't clearly express what you want to do here, your satisfaction might decrease a bit. It's common in Hawaii tours, but the air conditioning in the vehicle is quite strong, so it's better to bring warm clothing. I was able to ask the guide to make it warmer for me.

綺麗なマウイ島の風景を満喫することが出来ます。
英語ガイドのみですが、ネイティブの方と一緒では無かったせいか、ある程度意思疎通を図りながらガイドして頂けました。
自分からここで何をしたいとか、はっきり意思表示をしないと、少し満足度がさがるかも知れません。
ハワイのツアーではよくあることですが、車内の冷房が強烈に効いているので、防寒具は持っていった方が良いです。ガイドの方にお願いしたら暖かくして頂けましたが。

This was my first zipline experience and a second for my wife. We had sign up for 8 zipline package. They started us with relatively short distance and not so fast zipline. With every line, distance and speed kept increasing. Every line offered views of both mountains and ocean. Both of our guides Johnny and Loki were great when it came to making it a safe and fun experience. Drive up to the of the hill was pretty bumpy but fun due to stories of Uncle George. They provided us with reusable water bottle and start and pretty awesome snacks in the middle. Overall it was a pretty fun activity. I do recommend it for first timers, May not be extreme enough for repeaters.

Great food, entertaining dancers. A fantastic cultural experience.

We were the only 2 on the tour and we were still taken by the tour company and shown a fantastic day. Beautiful scenery, very knowledgeable guide. An excellent tour that should be done be everyone visiting this part of Hawaii.

It was our first time ziplining and we totally enjoyed the entire experience.
We were picked up by a van at the checkin point ant driven up the mountain. The trip is a bit rough since the road were unpaved. We stopped at a station in between to get geared up, and then the fun started.
Our tour guides were AWESOME. They were so funny and knowledgeable, making the entire trip so entertaining. I was a bit nervous at the beginning. But after the first line, I can't wait to go again.
The view was great from the mountain too. Definitely a wonderful experience worths every penny, highly recommended.

Well, what can I say?
This was a good activity that I am glad I did. But I won't say that I would do it twice. I don't think I would do any zipline twice, unless it's been a very long time.

The stuff was extremely nice to us. They were extremely careful, letting us know about all the risks and how to avoid them. They were catching every single person in the end of each zipline so that no one got hurt. Also, they were telling us stories about hawaiian culture and hawaiian island after each zipline.
Stuff had a great sense of humor as well. Lots of appropriate jokes were made :)

Last, but not least, Everything was organized in a timely manner as well.

I finally summited Haleakalā, a mountain I had visited Maui several times without ever climbing. Since I had a rental car, I considered going on my own, but since it was my first time there, I decided to join a tour, and I truly felt it was a highly satisfying experience.

They picked us up at the hotel and took their time climbing. I was a bit worried about climbing a mountain over 3000 meters, but I had no issues with my health and was able to reach the summit comfortably.

The view from the summit was beyond words. It happened to be a full moon that day, so the moonlight was too bright to see many stars (though it was still incomparable to the usual night sky), I was moved by the incredibly bright and beautiful moon that I had never seen before.

The guide, Yamapi, was truly wonderful. I am grateful for the opportunity to be reminded of the amazing nature that Maui has to offer. I definitely want to participate again when I go back to Maui.

As mentioned in the tour information, it gets very cold at the summit at night, so I recommend bringing extra warm clothing. However, the awe-inspiring experience that awaits you is worth braving the cold, making this tour highly recommended.

これまで何度もマウイを訪れていたのに一度も登ったことのなかったハレアカラに初めて登頂。レンタカーをしていたので自力で行くことも検討しましたが、初めての場所なのでツアーに参加することにしたのですが、本当に満足度の高いツアーで参加してよかったと感じています。
ホテルまでピックアップに来てくださり、時間をかけて登っていきます。3000m超の山を登るということで多少心配もありましたが、体調にまったく問題なく気持ちよく山頂に着くことができました。
山頂で見られる景色の素晴らしさは言葉で表現できないほどのものでした。当日ちょうど満月だったこともあり、月の光が明るすぎて星はあまり見られなかったのですが（とはいえ普段見ている星空とは比較にならないものです）これまで見たことのないほど明るく美しい月に遭遇して感動しました。

やまぴーさんのガイドは本当に素晴らしいです。マウイにこれほどの素晴らしい自然があることを再認識させていただき感謝しています。またマウイに行く際には必ず参加したいと思います。

ツアー情報に記載もありますが、夜の山頂はとにかく寒いですので防寒着は多めに持っていったほうがよいかと思います。ただその寒さを凌ぐほどの感動がそこに待っていますのでオススメのツアーです。

My husband and I had a lot of fun. The guys were really amusing and very patient in trying to teach me to do the canon ball on the last zipline.
We were picked up at the Eco shop and shuttled to the actual Zipline "ranch". They provided all the items that we needed including the water bottle, which they let us take as a gift. They cracked jokes and did some really cool stunts on the the lines we could never get confidence enough to do. They tried to bring even my husband and I into the jokes even though we can take a bit to warm up. They provided breaks and and an amazing view to catch a breather. You even get snacks and a drink at the end when looking at your pictures they snap of you. Thank you Levi you were awesome
