Although the weather was bad on the day, I insisted on having our guide, Yamapi, take us to various places. Along the way, we stopped at a power spot, and enjoyed Lolee's Shave Ice and Blackjack, which were a lot of fun.

Thank you, Yamapi, for being so flexible and accommodating. I definitely want to come back again.

I went to Maui to participate in the Maui Oceanfront Marathon, and there was a place I absolutely wanted to visit during my stay before the marathon... the summit of Haleakalā. I was the only Japanese person there, but I waited for the sunrise with the other foreigners and shared that moment. It was the best time... the emotions were conveyed even without speaking English. I was able to understand parts of the guide's talk, and I'm really glad I participated! The breakfast after the sightseeing was also delicious, enjoyed at a beautiful spot in the golf course clubhouse!

Yamapi's quick and efficient guidance was absolutely fantastic. After various experiences in our family, this trip with three women is off to a great start. The donuts, which are not available in Japan, and the various spots on Haleakalā are highly recommended. The story that encouraged us to give it another try really touched my heart. is an absolute hoot! He is mild mannered and a very safe
driver. Be sure to dress warmly, the cold is almost unbearable.

This tour was chosen because Hana's was fully booked. The guide worked hard to explain everything, but since they weren't very proficient in English, it was tiring to try to understand. I recommend it for those who are good at English.

One thing to note: this tour has a separate fee for tips, which can add up to quite a bit. I realized this after signing up. It's fine for those who have a budget to spend luxuriously. The vehicle was nice, and you can enjoy a picnic atmosphere.

It was super fun, wonderful, and the best! ☆
I just wanted to stay warm, so I layered on some random clothes to participate, but... I really regretted that we looked so uncool when we could have taken so many beautiful photos (laughs).
Ah! But it was truly amazing! The starry sky was incredible! Thinking back, the emotions from that time come flooding back and I feel like crying (;_;)!

We were picked up at our hotel at 3:00 am as promised and then taken up the mountain to see the sunrise. We were lucky as it was a clear day and we got to see the sunrise without issue. Once we arrived at the site, we were given coffee and danish to warm us up. We then took our place with the others and saw the magnificent view. We then got back on the bus and went up to the summit to take a few more pictures. On the way down our driver stopped at two more scenic points so that we could see down into the crater. It was quite a view. At the end of the trip, we were taken to a restaurant on a golf course and fed breakfast. The entire trip lasted about 7 1/2 hours. My one complaint would be that the bus was small and the seats were very tight. Some of the taller and larger people on the bus really had to be uncomfortable for the entire ride as two people could not fit comfortably in one row and there was no leg room at all.

However, I am still reviewing because we were devastated we couldn't go and Veltra was so helpful in assuring us of a full refund and gave us ample notice. Bravo to them :) SO disappointed!

I was very impressed by the story shared by Mr. Yamauchi, which made me re-recognize the fact that I am alive here now. I was also moved by his admirable way of living. I wish him continued good health and even more success for the sake of travelers from Japan. The starry sky and the Milky Way were beautiful. Since there were only a few people (5) in one car, we could take our time, which was nice. The bento was just okay... maybe the food at Mauna Kea was tastier... It became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much.

I travel to Oahu every year, but this was my second time on Maui. This time, my goal was to see the stars at Haleakalā. I received polite replies to detailed inquiries about the probability of seeing the stars via email in advance, which made me feel at ease despite the nature of the experience. However, due to a dispute in the U.S. Congress, we couldn't reach the summit (3055m) and had to view the stars from around 2000m at the entrance. Nevertheless, the night sky and the stars were incredibly beautiful, and I felt the smallness of myself in the universe. Above all, I was moved by the storytelling and presentation by the owner, Mr. Yamauchi. There may be a relationship between the tour company and guests, but the thoughtful attention to detail allowed us to relax and enjoy the short time we had. From the hotel pickup at 3 PM to heading to Haleakalā, we stopped at places like tea time and gift shops that individuals wouldn't typically visit. I want to go again next year! I highly recommend this tour to everyone; it’s a life-changing experience. ...Studying the stars in advance might make it even more enjoyable.

毎年オアフ島へは旅行で行ってますが、マウイ島は２回目。今回はハレアカラの星を見るのが目的でした。事前にメールで見られる確率は何パーセントだのなんだの細かい問い合わせにも丁寧な返信をいただき、自然相手にもかかわらず安心して行ったのですが、米国議会の揉め事で山頂（3055ｍ）まで行けず、入口の2000ｍ付近での鑑賞となりました。しかし、夜空も星も素晴らしくきれいで、宇宙の中の自分の小ささを感じました。何よりもオーナー山内さんの語り、演出に感動です。ツアー会社とゲストとの関係はあるかもしれませんが、短い時間に気持ちを和ませて参加できる、細かい心配りは最高でした。ＰＭ３時にホテルピックアップからハレアカラに向かうまで、ティータイムやギフトショップなど個人では行けない場所へも立ち寄ってくれます。来年も又行きたい！そして、皆さんにも是非参加いただきたい、人生観が変わるツアーです。・・・事前に星を勉強していくと一層楽しいかも。

The stars were wonderful, but I was also able to feel the sun, earth, light, and shadow, and it made me realize once again how amazing it is to be alive. There was a slight sense that he was immersed in his own world, but his desire to ensure the guests enjoyed themselves was clearly conveyed. A must do on a trip to Maui

I went on the afternoon excursion. Haleakalā was not visible because of clouds that had come in, but the pilot had said there was good visibility that morning. Instead we spent more time getting wonderful close ups of magnificent waterfalls. The helicopter was beautiful and only 4 weeks old. Blue Hawaiian staff were great. The second half of the trip was the luxury van along the road to Hana, this van had only 6 passengers which made for a nice intimate trip. Our driver Kelly, was fantastic, knowing the road very well, as he has been driving it on excursions for over 20 years. We stopped places most do not get to see. I highly recommend this trip and it was one of the highlights on this trip.

I participated in the tour on September 24 (Tuesday). It was a "Happy Vacation!" with just the two of us girls. The stargazing was amazing! The Milky Way, which I saw for the first time, was truly beautiful, and just looking at it made me feel so happy!! After moving to Oahu, I still can't forget Haleakalā. The stargazing in Maui is indeed wonderful!

I really resonated with what Mr. Yamape said: "Since our customers have come all the way here, I want to do everything I can for them." I believe that having a sincere attitude towards customers is truly important in any job.

With the countless sparkling stars we saw in Maui in our hearts, I hope to spend each day feeling happy. Thank you so much!! I will definitely go back to Maui to see the stargazing again☆

We used this service for our honeymoon. I was actually looking for a sunrise at Haleakalā online, but unfortunately, all the dates were fully booked, so I had to change to a sunset. Among various options, this was the only one available, and I was glad to secure a reservation, eagerly looking forward to the day. The guide was fantastic, and I was overwhelmed by the number of stars I had never seen before. I saw the Milky Way, Orihime and Hikoboshi, and a shooting star for the first time in my life. At the end of December last year, we visited Maui and Oahu for our honeymoon. I wanted to see the sunset, so I requested to join the Haleakalā tour in Maui. When I called the hotel, they informed me that the weather was going to be tough... But both my husband and I wanted to go regardless of whether we could see anything! That was our answer. When I conveyed this, they replied, "Of course."

On the day of the tour, they picked us up, took us to the post office, and brought us to a yogurt ice cream shop. Since it was just the two of us, we had great conversations, and there were plenty of bathroom breaks. Despite being told that the chances of seeing the sunset were slim, we were able to see it! At the summit, we took wonderful photos, and on the way back, we were treated to warm tea, a bento box, and they provided chairs, blankets, and jackets for us. 人見知りの主人もお話出来たこととてもいい思い出だったみたいです。
ツアーなのにツアー感を感じず、とっても身近な方に連れていって頂いてる感じでした。
今年の11月に子供が生まれるので、今度は３人で参加したいと思います。

I saw three shooting stars. After that, the sky gradually brightened, and I was able to see the sunrise I had longed for. The summit is very cold, so it's better to prepare for the cold. (Even with a T-shirt, Heattech, fleece, scarf, and gloves, it was still quite chilly.) I actually wanted to go on a Japanese tour, but I couldn't book it for the desired date... However, I really wanted to see the sunrise. I was anxious about the English tour, but coffee and bread were provided on the bus, and I was able to achieve my goal of seeing the sunrise. There was no explanation about the stars, but if you're just looking to see the sunrise, I recommend it. After the sun rises, they take you to a scenic viewpoint. I was also satisfied with the breakfast after descending the mountain. The scenery was truly magnificent.

Bob and I went to Maui to have an amazing anniversary trip and this was the highlight of our trip. The personal attention that we received from our tour guide, Ed, was beyond expectations. We learned about the island and it was in a pleasant atmosphere. The sights and weather were beautiful and we will never forget the time we spent on this trip. The Orchid farm was awesome and the owners were very informative. My orchids were delivered after I returned home and they greet me each morning with the beautiful smell and sights of them. This was the best hours of our trip and we enjoyed every moment of it. Thank you Ed for making our anniversary one to remember.

Our guide Ed was very informative throughout the tour. I would recommend taking a tour rather than driving it, the bus drivers know the roads well so you feel safe. Initially, we considered driving there ourselves, but choosing this tour was definitely the right decision!

The hiking trail was longer than we imagined, so driving would have been tough, but more importantly, the owner of Maui All Stars, Mr. Yamauchi, was fantastic.

I was torn between sunrise and sunset, but considering the clarity of the air, he strongly recommended sunset! We were able to enjoy the starry sky at a leisurely pace.

Mr. Yamauchi is very knowledgeable about the stars and provided various telescopes, big and small. He shared interesting and engaging stories that entertained both kids and adults.

The heartfelt services, such as the background music during stargazing, chairs, bento boxes, and warm tea, left us truly impressed.

He was also skilled with digital cameras and made thoughtful arrangements for our photos. We got some amazing shots at the summit!

In any case, if you're going to Haleakalā, I highly recommend participating in this tour.

If I ever go to Maui again, I would love to do it once more.

登山道は想像以上に長い道のりだったので、運転はつらかっただろうという理由もありますが、それ以上に、マウイオールスターズのオーナーのヤマウチさんは素晴らしかったからです。

サンライズかサンセットかで迷っていたのですが、空気の澄み具合を考えると、絶対サンセットがおすすめ！とのことでした。星空もゆっくり楽しめました。

ヤマウチさんは星空に大変詳しくて、大小様々な望遠鏡を用意してくれた上、子どもたちも大人も楽しめるように、丁寧で面白いお話を聞かせてくれました。

星空観測の時のＢＧＭや椅子、幕の内弁当やあたたかいお茶など、心のこもったサービスで感激しっぱなしでした。

デジカメの扱いにも精通していて、いろいろ配慮して撮影してくれました。
山頂では、驚きの写真も！

とにかく、ハレアカラに行くなら、ぜひ参加してほしいです。

私も、もしまたマウイに行くことがあったら、もう一度行きたいです。

I participated on July 27. As the sunset approached, the twilight turned into pitch darkness, making it so dark that I couldn't see my feet at all.

However, when I looked up, there was a sky full of stars... I enjoyed a stargazing walk while listening to Mr. Yamauchi's commentary (*^_^*).

I will definitely participate again next time (＾◇＾).

About eight years ago, I participated in a stargazing tour. As I was visiting Maui again after a long time, my entire family unanimously wanted to join once more, so we made a reservation.

On the day of the tour, there were some thin clouds, and I was worried about whether we would be able to see the stars, but when we looked up at the observation point, we were greeted with a sky full of stars. The beauty of the stars seen through the telescope was, of course, breathtaking, but I was truly moved by Mr. Yamauchi's explanations and stories.

During dinner, there was a question about what food you would want to eat as your last meal in life, and I can say without hesitation that if I could only visit one place before I die, it would be to see this starry sky. Of course, with Mr. Yamauchi's explanations... Thank you!

On July 14th, which was exactly between the new moon and the full moon, we were able to see a wonderful sunset with no wind. This was my second trip to Maui, and I traveled with my family (including my 87-year-old mother), but this tour was attended by my six siblings. Since we used a car for the entire itinerary, there wasn't much walking involved, and I thought my mother could have joined us. I was moved by the amazing sunset and the romantic starry sky, and I was very satisfied with the explanations and personality of our tour guide, Yamapi. I would like to participate again during the new moon next time. I absolutely recommend it.

You will not regret a single moment on this tour. The views are breathtaking, and amazing to experience. Waterfalls, exotic flowers, rainforests, trees, turquoise waters, and those cliffs and one lane bridges! Beautiful. I traveled with my husband, little girl, my mom and mother in law. We took with us many happy memories on this tour. A must see!

Spectacular Haleakala Sunrise Tour with Park Admission & Breakfast at Cafe O'Lei

Perfect Sunrise for our Honeymoon

My husband and I heard wonderful things about the Haleakala sunrise, and knew that it was going to be one of our activities on our honeymoon. However, we knew that the bike tour option was a little more daring than we had hoped. After doing some research and finding this tour, we knew that this was the route we wanted to take.

The tour picked us up EARLY (just before 2am), and we boarded the bus. On the way up, our driver gave us the "disclaimer," that nobody can control the weather except mother nature, and it will either be crystal clear and beautiful...or...cloudy and disappointing. Luckily for us, it was, quite literally, PERFECT.

As the sun rose, the colors changed so beautifully and two native Hawaiians sung a traditional chant. We stayed for a few more pictures, then took the bus from the lookout point to summit (quick drive), then stopped at another lookout point before heading down to breakfast.

If you are going to Maui, make sure you take this trip!
