The tour day was blessed with good weather, and since it was close to a new moon, there was no moonlight at all, allowing us to see countless stars like a natural planetarium. The sunset was truly beautiful, with a sea of clouds below, and I was overwhelmed by the starry sky.

I am very grateful to our tour guide, Yamapi. He took great care of us, showed us various stars through the telescope, and the lectures were enjoyable! It felt like going back to elementary school. I felt that the company, including Yamapi, genuinely wants participants to enjoy the tour with thoughtful consideration and care. I would love to join this tour again! Thank you very much!

Following my Sunrise Tour five years ago, I participated in the Sunset Tour for the second time. The weather was great, making it a perfect day for viewing. I was constantly impressed by the lively talk and knowledge of our guide, Mr. Yamap. Since I don't usually live in an environment where I can stargaze, I had a wonderfully luxurious time. If I have the opportunity, I would like to participate again. Thank you very much.

After departing from the port, we spent quite a while on the boat. It was a long ride, and the sea wasn't particularly rough, but including the kids, our family was hit hard by seasickness. So, we couldn't enjoy breakfast...

However, once we arrived at the snorkeling spot and got into the water, the seasickness improved, and everyone was thrilled to be in the deep, clear sea.

On the way back, we encountered dolphins, which was super exciting. But then, shortly after that, I felt nauseous again and ended up resting while returning.

The captain was cheerful and lively, making it a lot of fun. I think the hamburgers for lunch would have been really delicious if we hadn't been seasick!

You can choose the tour, but you can't choose the weather. It was a windy day, so the boat was really rocking. Some people were holding their heads and feeling sick (including my son).

According to reviews, it didn't seem like there would be many participants, but on the day we went, I think there were over 50 people on board. The second floor was almost full.

We saw dolphins right after we set off. There were several of them, which was a great start.

It takes about 40-50 minutes to reach the snorkeling point. Once we arrived, we received a safety briefing before heading out to snorkel. The water was clear, and we could see fish and sea urchins. My 4-year-old daughter also put on the fins and goggles we borrowed and swam. The waves were high, so just swimming was quite challenging.

After snorkeling, we enjoyed a waterslide from the boat. It was thrilling but fun.

We had breakfast and lunch on the boat, and the lunch burgers were delicious.

Seeing my son suffering from seasickness and a headache, an American lady said, "Drinking ginger ale will help." However, I'm not sure if that's true.

Anyway, it was tough with the high waves, but it was a very good experience!

出発してすぐにイルカは見れました。何頭もいて、幸先良いスタートでした。

シュノーケルポイントまでは、40-50分？乗ります。着いたら安全に関するレクチャーを受けてから、いざシュノーケルに出陣。水は澄んで、魚もウニも見えました。４歳の娘も一丁前に借りた足のフィンとゴーグルを着けて、泳ぎました。波が高かったので、ただ泳ぐのも大変でした。

シュノーケルのあとは、ボートからのウォータースライダー。スリリングだけど、楽しかったです。

朝食もランチもボートで食べましたが、ランチのバーガーは美味しかったです。

船酔いで頭が痛くて仕方なかった息子を見かねて、アメリカンのオバチャマが、"ジンジャエールを飲むと、マシになるよ。"と言っていたものの、定かではありません。

とにかく、波が高くて大変でしたが、とても良い経験が出来ました！

I could not be more pleased with my experience on the Star of Honolulu for our vow renewal! The entire experience was flawless from the captain and his beautiful words to the fireworks over the beach at the end. Only two suggestions or pieces of information for others considering this... 1) the three-star experience is not air conditioned and if you are there in July like we were, be prepared to sweat! 2) no children's menu so if you have a picky little one like I do, bring kid-friendly snacks

The phone call for reconfirmation until the day before was a hassle. I don't understand why it's necessary when I've already paid with a credit card. Moreover, since I was planning to participate on the day of arrival, I had to call from Japan considering the time difference.

When I asked about the rain policy, they said that if it rains heavily, we would go under the roof. In the case of a storm, they would decide around 5 PM whether to cancel or not.

After reading other people's experiences, I was surprised to see a long line when I went to line up before 5 PM! Perhaps it was because it was the high season in late July. Registration started at 5:30 PM, and we got to wear shell leis for photos. You can upgrade to flower or nut leis for an additional fee. You can refuse the photo session.

Seating is based on the order of the line. If you pay about 20 dollars more, you can get a table at the very front.

The host talks a lot and sings as well. The English isn't too difficult, and you can still enjoy it even if you don't understand everything. There are hula lessons, traditional games, and stamp tattoos. They show you the whole roasted pig being pulled up, followed by a performance where the king lands from the sea. You're instructed to get your meal from the front tables. Drinks are all-you-can-drink (some are paid), but the bar is far away and inconvenient.

You can see dances from various Polynesian regions. The fire dance was the most exciting. I saw a similar show at Fish Eye in Guam, but the stage here is smaller overall, and there are fewer dancers. The fire dance only has one male performer.

I can tell they are trying to entertain us, but it was very long, and I ended up dozing off a bit.

At the end, you can take photos with the dancers using your phone or other devices. No one seemed to be tipping. The price of the show is much cheaper than in Waikiki, but since I haven't seen it in Waikiki, I can't compare the cost performance.

ホストの方がしゃべるしゃべる。歌も歌う。そんなに難しい英語ではないし、分からなくても楽しめます。フラのレッスンや伝統ゲームに興じたり、スタンプタトゥーがあります。
豚の丸焼きを引き上げるのを見せてくれ、直後に王が海から上陸する演出。食事は前方テーブルからに取りにいくよう指示されます。飲み物は飲み放題ですが（一部有料）、バーが遠くて面倒です。
ここまでが長いこと！

ポリネシア各地の踊りを見せてもらえます。ファイアーダンスが一番盛り上がっていました。グアムのフィッシュアイでも同様のショーを見ましたが、こちらは全体的にステージが小さくダンサーの数は少ないです。ファイヤーダンスも男性が一人だけです。

色々と楽しませようとしてくださっているのは伝わるのですが、とても長いので、一部寝てしまいました。

最後はダンサーの方と手持ちの携帯などで写真を撮れます。特にチップを払っている人はいませんでした。ショーのお値段はワイキキよりずっと安いですが、ワイキキでは見ていないので、コスパ比較はできません。

You absolutely must go when you visit Maui! マウイに来たら絶対に行くべき！

I participated with a friend. They picked us up at the hotel, and along the way, we had fun conversations and learned various recommendations about Maui. We enjoyed drinks at Krispy Kreme, chose bento boxes at the supermarket (I underestimated the bento, but it was incredibly delicious), and shopping at Kula Lodge (we got to sample a lot of food). The journey to Haleakalā was truly enjoyable. The sunset was so moving that words can't describe it. Additionally, we went to a hidden spot where there were only 2 or 3 other people besides our tour group. We had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the starry sky was not fully visible due to the clouds, but it was a sky that you can't see in Tokyo. (Even though we could see a little, we were told we could come back for a revenge trip next time. It was really thoughtful of them.) I was also moved by Yamapi's passionate stories. Thank you for everything. I will definitely participate again! For those who are unsure about going, you should definitely go—it's highly recommended!

The first time was about three years ago when I applied with a friend, but it was canceled due to bad weather. This year for sure! It was a tour for two, but I somehow requested to participate alone. I was grateful that they picked me up. Personally, I think it could have been even more enjoyable if I had a deeper knowledge of astronomy. The explanations in Japanese, the Japanese food, tea, safety measures against the cold, and safe driving were all great. While inquiring about participating alone, I was starting to give up thinking it might be impossible since I was by myself. I also looked at the English tours, but the reviews were... (sweat). It truly became a wonderful memory! I would love to participate again if I have the chance.

I was really happy to see a lot of rainbows on the way, and it felt like I was being welcomed! Since it was close to a full moon, if you want to see more stars, you might want to go around the new moon for a better experience! Anyway, the colors of the sky were truly wonderful, and it was a fantastic tour! Yamapi had a lot of knowledge, so it was really enjoyable not just talking about celestial bodies but also other topics!

You will board the submarine after going a little offshore from the dock. The interior of the submarine has two rows, both of which are by the windows, allowing you to observe the underwater scenery without any stress. My 4-year-old grandchild who accompanied me was also very excited. All the staff members are young and friendly. I especially recommend this experience for families with small children.

船着き場よりやや沖にでてから潜水艦に乗り込みます。潜水艦の内部は２列ですがいずれも窓側でそれぞれの窓からストレスなく海中（海底）の様子がうかがえます。同行した４歳の孫も大興奮でした。スタッフの皆さんもみな若くてフレンドリー。特にご小さいお子さんを連れたご家族の方におすすめできます。

As the reviews mentioned, it seems that there is a long line, so when I went to the front at 5 PM for the 5:30 PM reception, there was a long queue next to the front desk! Everyone was shouting something together, and I panicked thinking I was late, but it was still okay. I was seated about three rows from the front, which made it very easy to see, and the food was quite delicious. The atmosphere was friendly and lively, and I really enjoyed it.

This was a last minute thing that we decided to do - and we're sure glad that we did.
Was a great night with good food and good entertainment to follow. Rose was our server and what a fantastic job she did, she had a number of tables to look after (as servers do over there) yet she gave intimate tables of two just as much as large group tables.
Overall a well run experience from pickup to drop off couldn't fault it at all

I've been to various luaus, and this was the best. Really. My three-generation family ranges in age from 3 y/o to 70, and everyone had a great time. The 7 y/o was truly amazed by everything, which was delightful. The event was well organized, informative, and vastly entertaining. The food and beverages we're very good, high quality, and plentiful. No dishes ran out, and the selection was excellent. The arrival of the King and his court was fun. We enjoyed the extra touches, like the Hawaiians tattoos, and hula lesson. The dancers were excellent and engaging; we especially enjoyed those involving fire! I would definitely recommend this luau. I don't think there were any bad seats, and the view was glorious.

I booked a tour for the next day while I was there. I received a confirmation email and waited at the pickup location on the day of the tour, but after waiting for over 20 minutes, no one showed up... I couldn't speak English, so I had to call, and with the help of the hotel staff, I managed to convey my issue. It seems the tour company said there was no reservation. In the end, I took a taxi to the boat and got a refund for the taxi fare, so I was able to participate in the tour after all. Since I didn't incur any financial loss, I asked Veltra to check the situation after returning home, and they responded sincerely. The tour itself was fine (I even saw a whale, albeit just a little), but it might be a bit risky to make last-minute reservations.

Tour was interesting but I felt the Tour Guide was bored.

I was excited about the tour, being a keen Hawaii Five-0 fan & was very happy when I was accepted as a solo traveller. The tour was described as being 4 to 4 1/2 hr duration. I was picked up at 8.15 am & by 11.45 am we were heading back to our hotel. There were two vans with four people in each meeting up at stops along the tour route.

Our Guide was very knowledgeable but I felt she was bored & repeating everything by rote. I still don't know her name as she didn't bother to introduce herself. She could have made the whole morning a lot more interesting. I do appreciate all the locations we were shown & background information we were given.

I felt very rushed & would have appreciated more time to take photographs. Also, being allowed out of the van at the National Cemetery would have been better than trying to get photos out of the windows of the van. The same at the Studios. If the tour lasted another 1/2 hour it would not have been so rushed & maybe a couple more locations could have been included. eg .Aloha Tower or where the Shrimp Truck is located.

I hope I might get another chance to do this tour again. Keeping the tour group small is a great idea.

This was my second time at Chief's Luau and I got say... i love the new location. The new venue is so beautiful. Chief Sielu is the best luau host in Hawaii, he is funny, entertaining and for sure he is what makes this luau so special. The dancers and the musicians are really good and the fire-knife dance is breath taking. The food is delicious and the buffet has a lot of variety. It was a lovely evening and I recommend this luau to everyone, specially families and couples.

In the morning, we were able to fully enjoy a leisurely hotel life until our 14:30 pickup. They picked us up right on time, and we made a stop at Whole Foods to choose our lunch, taking a bathroom break at Kula Lodge while gradually acclimatizing to the altitude. During the drive and breaks, we enjoyed detailed guidance and fun conversations with our guide, Yama P. At the stops, he also recommended souvenirs and offered tastings. In fact, everything was incredibly delicious.

At the hotel, despite our worries about the cloudy sky, we found clear weather at the summit of Haleakalā, with a new moon and no wind, creating perfect conditions for stargazing, according to Yama P. After enjoying our lunch and warm tea in the car, we put on the warm clothing and gloves provided, sat in our chairs, and adjusted our eyes to the darkness for a trip into the starry sky! The constellations were beyond imagination. We were captivated by Yama P's flowing lecture on the constellations. It was a fulfilling half-day that flew by in no time.

想像を絶する星座群です。山Pの流れるような星座のレクチャーに聞き惚れます。
あっと言う間の充実した半日でした。
