The guide, Yamapi, was incredibly attentive. The Krispy Kreme donuts were freshly made and absolutely delicious. During donut time, he made sure to engage with all the participants, which helped everyone bond. I was also happy to stop by the supermarket to buy dinner and choose my own bento. Tours like this are quite rare. The stargazing was simply beautiful and amazing. I would love to join again when I come back to Maui.

Good tour around the city and the hawaii 5 o locations. But often we only drove by with no stop in front of the spots. Interesting background information about the show and making of.
Unfortunately our guide amy had obviously not a good day. We had the feeling, that she was not really "with us".
She was pretty uninterested to tell more than asked and seemed uninvolved.

Our family attended the dinner cruise on Thanksgiving and we were not disappointed. The food and scenery were both excellent, and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer questions. The music was also very good, and there was even some dancing during the return trip. Would highly recommend this trip during your stay on the Big Island.

As a major fan, accompanied by a moderate fan indulging me, we both had a great time. Amy made sure all had fun. We had a lot of laughs, she shared some fun stories and we got to see all the sights. All of O'ahu seems to be a Hawaii Five-O set, but the key spots and how those get adjusted for better TV are all in the tour. High light of course is the time we got to spent at the mcgarrett house. The owners of the bayer estate are so lovely and welcoming, a hugh Mahalo to them. We were extra lucky, because as soon as we got into the car we were invited to a preview of the 200th episode 3 days later at the mcgarrett house. that was the highlight of our trip. We had such a good time and got to talk to Dennis Chun and his lovely wife Laura. Both were so friendly. The Episode was amazing and at our tour we already saw the house which was used in filming that episode. We were just in time to also see the restaurant before the plot line ended. Even if you only know about the show and are not a fan the tour is highly recommended because you're guaranteed to have fun and see lots of O'ahu As a fan you're guaranteed to have the best time of your life, because apart from an actual meet and greet this is the best way to connect to your favourite show. what other show has real life sets you can actually visit?!? Amy, you rock! Next barefoot bottle is on us :-)

In the end, I couldn't see anything at all, neither shadow nor figure. It seems like they tried their best, but... I received a ticket for the next boat ride, but since it was the last day of my trip, I couldn't use it. The boat was fairly large and not crowded, so I could go out on the deck or sit comfortably in a chair. It felt like a drive on the water in pleasant weather.

結局、何も影も姿も、見ることはできませんでした。
頑張ってくれたみたいですが・・。
次回乗船チケットをもらいましたが、旅行最終日だったので、使えませんでした。
船はそこそこ大きくて、満員でもないので、甲板に出たり、ゆったり椅子に座ったり。

Only for the die hard fans

While the tour was quite good, I would only reccomend it for the die hard fans. We got to see a lot of areas where they filmed, but it was predominantly from the van we were driven around in.
The hosts, while very knowledgable, seemed to be more interested in how they have been involved in the show and sharing stories of there time working with the actors.

The only real highlight of the whole trip was going to the location of Steve McGarrett's home, and we were only there for a maximum of maybe 10 minutes.

We were promptly picked up at the designated time at the pier. This tour went West to Lahaina. The road thru the mountains became very narrow in places but our driver Halley did an excellent job of navigating the turns. This road was definitely more scary than the road to Hana.
Halley did a good job in explaining the various sights just as Sammy did the day earlier. She made frequent stops so we could get photos.
Once we arrived in Lahaina Town, Halley recommended a nice restaurant where we had lunch overlooking the ocean.
We were very pleased with this tour and would highly recommend it.

Our excursion went extremely well. We were met at the pier at the designated time with no issues. We met our driver/guide and were on our way. Our driver was Bobbie who gave us a very comprehensive verbal overview of the entire trip. She would pull over at various times to let us get photos of the scenery. We liked the fact that we could stay at any stop for extended time if needed.
Because Bobbie was Hawaiian raised, she could give us a perspective of Hawaiian life on the island.
The van was very comfortable and the driving was very good. No speeding. She gave us plenty of bathroom stops.
All in all we very much enjoyed the trip and would recommend this tour.

The guide's talk, which included local information, was fascinating, and I was able to enjoy myself throughout. The sunset above the clouds and the starry sky from the mountaintop were incredibly beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail to ensure participants were comfortable made it a great tour where I felt the hospitality. It's a highly recommended tour that I would love to join again when I visit Maui.

On October 30th, we participated as a couple.
We were overwhelmed by the incredible beauty of nature that you can't see in reality.
The sunset sinking into the clouds.
The shadow of the Earth that can only be seen here.
The colors of the sky between evening and night.
We couldn't move from the sunset spot; we wanted to keep watching it forever.
As the sun set further, we even got to see the night view of the town of Kona, which made us forget about car sickness.
The main event was the breathtaking starry sky.
You have to see it in person to understand; it's definitely worth it.
The number of stars is unmatched by any other stargazing spot.
I never thought the Milky Way could be so captivating.
From start to finish, everything captivated my heart, leaving me speechless, with countless memories that can't be captured in photos.
And our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, brought out the best in this experience.
I never expected to see him featured in a travel guide. (laughs)
He carefully shared detailed recommendations for spots on Maui, showcasing the greatness of this island that could change one's perspective on life.
All his stories left a lasting impression on me.
Perhaps because of such a wonderful guide, the other participants were also amazing people.
I will definitely return to Maui!
Thank you for the wonderful tour!
For those considering it, you absolutely should take this tour!
Oh, and if you're prone to motion sickness, you'll need some medication.

雲に沈む夕陽。

夕方と夜の間の空の色。
サンセットスポットから足が動かず、いつまでも見ていたかったほど。

They also stopped by a local supermarket, which was great. It's reassuring to acclimatize to avoid altitude sickness while heading to the summit. If possible, I think participating during the new moon would allow for a beautiful view of the Milky Way. Stargazing was very enjoyable, with chairs to sit on, blankets available, and a warm tea gathering.

野生のイルカウォッチング＆シュノーケリングツアー ＜朝食・昼食付き＞

We participated in a snorkeling tour with our 5-year-old child. We often sign up for snorkeling tours when traveling, but this was our first time on a large boat, as we usually take speedboats.

Since the meeting point was local, we needed to park our rental car at the tour company's parking lot, but we were a bit confused about the location, so be careful with that. (It takes just under 50 minutes from Waikoloa.)

In this tour, we were the only Japanese participants, and the rest were Westerners, but they spoke in quite clear English, so we could get the gist of things from the atmosphere. Right after departure, there was a breakfast buffet, and soft drinks were available for free if you asked at the bar counter; our child enjoyed drinking juice. The waves were calm, so there was no spilling of drinks, and the stability was definitely different.

The snorkeling spot was quite deep (about 10 meters?), but the water was very clear, allowing us to see the bottom. While we weren't surrounded by a large number of tropical fish like at the Great Barrier Reef, we did encounter some colorful fish, which was enjoyable. The boat also had a slide and a diving board, but we didn't challenge ourselves with those... (The Westerners were diving in a lot, though!)

For lunch, we had handmade hamburgers. We could choose our own patties, buns, and vegetables to assemble our burgers. True to American style, the patties were very good and delicious, and drinks were always available, making for a comfortable and relaxing experience.

If you have small children, many snorkeling tours on the Big Island have age restrictions, often requiring participants to be 12 years or older, but this one was fine. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any dolphins, but it was a very enjoyable memory!

5歳の子供を連れてシュノーケルツアーに参加。よく旅行先ではシュノーケルツアーを申し込んでますが、今までスピードボートばかりで、今回のような大型船は初めてでした。
現地集合のため、レンタカーを催行会社の駐車場に停める必要があるのですが場所がよくわからず戸惑ってしまいましたので、かなり注意です。(ワイコロアからだと50分弱かかります)

このツアーで日本人は私たちのみで残りは欧米人しかいませんでしたが、かなりクリアな英語で話してくれるので雰囲気で内容は察せそうです。出航後すぐに朝食のビュッフェがあり、ソフトドリンクはバーカウンターの方に頼めばフリーで出してくれますし、子供はジュースを好んで飲んでいました。波も穏やかだったせいかドリンクが零れるような揺れもなく、安定感はやはり違いますね。

シュノーケルスポットは水深は深い(10m弱くらいかな？)ですがかなり海の透明度が高く、底が見えます。グレートバリアリーフのような大量の熱帯魚に囲まれることはありませんが、カラフルな魚には割と出会えるので楽しめるかと。
船にはスライダーや飛び込み台もありますが、さすがにこちらは挑戦せず…(欧米人の方はめっちゃ飛び込んでました笑)
昼食は今はハンドメイドのハンバーガーです。パティやバンズ、野菜など、自分で取って組み合わせて食べるスタイルです。さすがはアメリカ、パティの肉感がとても良く美味しく頂けましたし、常時飲み物は頂けるので、快適に寛いで過ごすことが出来ました。


小さいお子さん連れだとハワイ島のシュノーケルツアーは12歳から等の年齢制限があるものも多く参加出来ないこともありますが、こちらは大丈夫です。
私たちはイルカには残念ながら会えませんでしたが、とても楽しい思い出となりました！

Also, Yamachan's guidance was fantastic. There were laughs, tears, and moments of inspiration. I think it's a tour I would want to join again and again.

I should have checked the distance between my accommodation and the King Kamehameha Hotel in advance, but paying 200 for a round-trip taxi is just too far! Once I arrived, it was impossible to cancel. I had to participate, but both the show and the food were average.

The only good part was going early to explore the town of Kona and enjoying a Segway tour.

Me and my parents took this tour in order to see the different sights associated with the TV show. We are all avid watchers and it was cool to see where certain things were filmed. The highlight was visiting the home used as McGarrett's home in the show. Our tour guide was awesome and she was able to answer the questions we had about how certain episodes were filmed.

The summit of Haleakalā was very cloudy, so we moved to another spot! I thought it wouldn't work even after moving, but there were countless stars!!! It definitely deserves a five-star rating, but I want to see the starry sky from the summit next time, so I will participate again.

I could see fish well from the window.
Some fish followed the boat, and they were cute.
I listened to the Japanese channel on my headphones, but I thought it would be nice if it were a bit more fulfilling.
However, even without that, it was enjoyable just to watch.
