The cruise was very nice. Sunset was perfect. Prime rib was OK. I was expecting more. The chicken was great! Fish, was ok too. I would do the cruise again. I would upgrade to see if the food was better. Buffet was ok for an.overall rating!

The atmosphere was amazing! Looked very high end and it felt like it. Staff was very friendly and had great service. Super romantic dinner cruise that I highly recommend to any couple looking for a unique Hawai’i experience. Food was really good, not the biggest portions, but still we left satisfied. I will say whatever the dessert was, wasn’t very good. The only negative. It was this fruit flavored cake but it tasted like dish soap. Other than that this is a must!! Beautiful scenery and nice cool breeze with excellent food and live entertainment! We did pay for the middle tier I believe so it was the four course meal with two drink tickets. I think anyone would love this.

The plan included a bus pickup, so there were no particular inconveniences getting to the location. The whales were different from what I had imagined, but I think it was nice to have a wonderful boat trip. The boat felt rockier than I expected. Some people were sitting, but most were on the deck on the third floor watching. They announced when we were likely to see whales, so we could spot them quickly, but most of what we saw were just tails or backs, and we couldn't really see the full picture as I had imagined. However, the weather was nice, and it was a fun boat trip, so I was happy with it.

バスでお迎えに来てくれるプランだったので現地までは特に不自由ありませんでした。
クジラは想像していたのとは違いましたが、素敵な船旅ができたので、まあよかったかなと思います。船内は思ったより揺れていた気がします。座っているひともいましたが、ほとんどは３階とかのデッキで見ていました。クジラが出そうなところをアナウンスしてくれるのですぐ見れるのですが、ほとんどがしっぽだけとか背中だけで、なかなか想像していたような全体像をみることはできませんでした。
でも天気が良く楽しい船旅だったので良かったです。

I thought everything, from the meals to the crew's service, was perfect!

If you ride on Friday, you can also see fireworks, which is a great deal!

It is a bit pricey, but it's worth experiencing!

Good for all ages, our family was laughing and it was a good way to get everyone together :)

The crew makes sure things run smooth, and the boat is a nice smooth sail as well!

Got to celebrate our anniversary on the Kona waters, very beautiful sunset and very good grub!

The entertainment was superb!!! The food, however, was cold, undercooked, and no flavor. I do understand the institutional food prep, but it could have been better.

This was a brilliant adventure, from the moment you get in line to enter and get your lei, to when you find yourself on stage dancing the Hula. The activities are great with a number of free cultural classes in the “kitchen” and around the grounds. Great photo opportunities as the sun sets, with great shots of the ocean, the city if Honolulu, and the mountain ranges.

I would recommend this for any other couple, or family regardless if there are or are not children.

My first time on Maui. I wasn't confident about driving to the summit of Haleakalā on my own, so I booked this tour. In the end, it was definitely the right decision to join this tour. Throughout the tour, Yamapi's thoughtful care was comforting, and I truly enjoyed watching the sunset and the starry sky. The poke bowl while enjoying the breathtaking views was also fantastic. I learned a lot about Maui, which became helpful tips for the rest of my trip. I would definitely like to participate again when I go back to Maui.

初めてのマウイ島。自力でレンタカーでハレアカラ登頂は自身なく、このツアーを予約しました。結果、このツアーに参加して大正解でした。
ツアーの間終始やまぴーさんの心遣いが心地よく、本当に楽しくサンセットと星空を鑑賞できました。
絶景を眺めながらのポケ丼も最高でした。
マウイ島の事もたくさん教えてくださり、その後の旅行のヒントになりました。
またマウイに行く時はぜひ参加したいです。

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Yoshi was knowledgeable and a fantastic guide. There are coats and blankets to use once you are at the top. Yoshi sets up chairs, takes pictures, provides hot tea or coffee and donuts, and does just the right amount of talking that provides information without disturbing your time to enjoy the whole experience. A packed dinner is necessary although we made a stop at the Kula Marketplace where food was available to purchase before getting to Haleakala. We are so glad we did this tour!!!

This was a great experience. The performers and all staff were professional and made sure we had a good time. Food portions were perfect so that we weren't super stuffed but full enough. Beautiful food presentation. Hats off to the culinary team and chef!!!! This was a memorable experience and the interactive dance for everyone at the end was a perfect way to end the dinner cruise. Only one recommendation would be to have air conditioning in the boat. Other than that, the night was amazing!!

Tour was great from start to finish. Yoshi was kind and knowledgeable. He thought of everything from hot tea, candy, and Krispy cream donuts. It was a very windy evening and he changed up plans on the fly to get us out of the wind and get us the best stargazing experience he could. I would definitely book a tour with Yoshi again.

Yoshi was a fantastic guide that provided us with such a memorable experience. He supplied us with coats and blankets and snacks so that we were comfortable. He also showed us constellations and stars through his telescope. If you are fascinated by the stars you will never forget this experience. Must try!

We really enjoyed the trip to the Canyon, very knowledgeable driver and the scenery was magnificent. We did all the main sights in the four hour time. Good value for money. Back to the cruise ship in time for a late lunch and swim. Highly recommend.

The long journey from the hotel to Haleakalā was enjoyable with breaks along the way. We were introduced to various types of poke at Foodland, which we enjoyed after the tour at the hotel. Upon arriving at Haleakalā, I was excited by the magnificent scenery. They set up special seating for us to watch the sunset, and the colors of the sky changed beautifully to orange, blue, and green. I can still remember the gradient of the sky while waiting for the stars to appear as night fell. After a while, the starry sky was breathtaking—so many stars! I was amazed by the stunning view and was moved when they taught us about various constellations using a telescope. It was a great time to see the Southern Cross in the night sky, and capturing photos with the stars was also an emotional experience. I'm creating a memory album. My husband and I have been to Hawaii many times, but this was the first time with someone who was visiting Hawaii for the first time, and they were truly moved. Thank you, Mr. Yamauchi. I will visit Maui again!

I had an awesome time. All staff were very attentive and kind. Loved the entertainment. Food was amazing.

This was our second trip on the Star of Honolulu, the first being 9 years ago. I paid more this time for an upgraded meal. The meal was good, but I think we would have been happier with just the buffet. The upgrade wasn’t really worth the price we paid. The entertainment was good and the views were spectacular! If we come to Hawai’i again, I think we’ll just get the lowest price meal and still do the cruise.

Wow! What a great time. Definitely a highlight of our vacation. A must-see!!

This was the main tour of my trip to Hawaii. However, I thought I had enough time and went to Paia, which caused me to miss the meeting time for the tour. Just when I was at a loss, I received a call from our guide, Yamapi, who was able to pick me up along the way. I'm so grateful!

今回のハワイ旅行のメインのツアーでした。
ところが、時間に余裕があると思いPaiaに行ったため、ツアーの集合時間に間に合わなくなってしまったのです。途方に暮れていたところ、ガイドのヤマピーさんから連絡があって途中で拾ってもらうことができました。感謝感謝です！
山頂からの夕日と星空は想像を超えた美しさでした。南十字星まで見えたのにはビックリです。

I was overwhelmed by the majestic landscapes of Maui, and my heart was captivated by the sparkling sea and beautiful nature. Above all, the guide explained the island's history and plants in clear English, which made me feel close to Maui. It was a day filled with continuous amazement. Thank you very much!

マウイ島の雄大な地形に圧倒され、輝く海と美しい自然に心を奪われました。
何より、ガイドさんが分かりやすい英語で島の歴史や植物の事などを丁寧に教えてくれたので、マウイ島を身近に感じることができました。

It's a 5-star experience, and the price is around 35,000 yen per person, so I was worried about table manners... but those worries were unnecessary! It was surprisingly casual, as you could stand up and walk out to the deck during the meal. I think it mentioned that "men's dress code is collared shirts," but there were definitely people in T-shirts. The non-alcoholic cocktails were delicious!

など心配しましたが、いらぬ心配でした！
食事中に立って歩いてデッキに出るのも自由なので意外とフランクにすごしました。
「男性のドレスコードは襟付きの服」と書かれていた気がしますが、全然Tシャツの人もいました。
ノンアルカクテル美味しかったです！

Our first times...suprisingly not what we expected, it was MORE than! Had so much fun and maybe we'll take another cruise soon.
