I have visited Hawaii many times, but I had never participated in a sunset cruise until now. This time, we joined with a total of 8 people: 5 adults and 3 children. The wind was quite strong, and the boat swayed a lot, so those who are prone to motion sickness should take some medication. As everyone mentioned, the air conditioning was quite cold, so a jacket is necessary.

Once we set sail, we went up to the 4th deck to take sunset photos and enjoy the buffet. After the buffet settled down a bit, the hula performance began. At the end, I recommend dancing to YMCA without being shy. By the time we felt accomplished, we arrived back at the port. Both adults and children had a great time.

今回大人5人、子供3人、総勢8人で参加しました。
かなり風が強く船も結構揺れたので、乗り物酔いする方は酔い止めが必要です。
皆さんがおっしゃる様に冷房がかなり寒いので上着が必要です。
出港すると4階のデッキに上がり、サンセット写真を撮りに行き、ビュッフェ。
ビュッフェが少し落ち着くとフラが始まります。
最後はみんなでYMCA、恥ずかしがらず踊ってみる事をお薦めします。
やり切った感が出る頃に港に到着。大人も子供もとっても楽しかったです。

I boarded the ship with excitement. Once we set sail, it was the beginning of a fun time.
The beautiful sea! Fun shows! The buffet was delicious, too. There were fruits, making for a lively dinner.
I chose Friday to see the fireworks, but they were canceled due to strong winds.
I hope to board again next time and enjoy the fireworks as well.

Honestly, before I signed up, I thought $208 was a bit high... but since I was in Hawaii, I wanted to see the luau show, so I went ahead and signed up.

In the end, I’m glad I did! There were so many hula dances, fire dances, and shows to see, it was very impressive!!

When we arrived, we were welcomed with leis. After being shown to our seats, we had a little time before the buffet opened, so there was a space to enjoy making leis and headbands, which was fun. I thought I might not participate when I signed up, but it turned out to be a unique Hawaiian experience, and I loved it!!

We took a commemorative photo with the sunset in the background, and since we had tickets for two drinks, we ordered the first one and toasted together.

When the buffet line opened, everyone lined up and went to get their food in a serving style. The taste was good, but there weren't many options.

After the sun set, the show continued. The various regional dances and performances were really wonderful!!

It rained a little on the day I attended, but I think it would have been even better if it had been sunny! I highly recommend it.

何といってもたくさんのフラダンスやファイヤーダンスやショーが見れて、

到着するとレイでお出迎えしてくれました。
席に案内されると、ビュッフェのオープンまで少し時間があるということで、
リストレイつくりや、ヘッドバンドつくりの体験を楽しめるスペースがあり楽しかったです。
申し込んだときはやらないかな・・・と思っていたのですが、
ハワイならではの体験で、良かったです！！

夕日をバックに皆で記念撮影をし、
ドリンクも2杯分のチケットがついていたので、1つめを注文し、皆で乾杯。

ビュッフェラインがオープンすると皆ぞろぞろと列になり、配膳のような形で取りに行きます。
味は美味しかったですが、種類は多くありませんでした・

夕日が沈んでからは、ショーが続きます。
色々な地方のダンスや、ショーはとても素敵でした！！

私が参加した日は少し雨だったのですが、晴れていたらもっと良かったと思います！

The show was really great!! There were hula lessons and interactive elements, and the various areas of hula, dance, and luau were all very impressive.

However, I think it's best not to have high expectations for the buffet. The show was very splendid, but the variety of the buffet was limited, and the staff put the food in boxes without allowing you to choose your preferred amount. (They might do it if you ask, but with such a long line, it didn't feel like the right atmosphere to ask...) The way they served the food was also quite careless, which was really disappointing.

Additionally, unfortunately, the weather was rainy... It wasn't raining the entire time, but when it rains outdoors, it really dampens the mood.

The show itself was very good, so I would be happy if they could improve the buffet format a bit!

After the reception, we were welcomed with a lei made of real flowers. I was able to take photos with the performers. Before the show started, there were photo spots and experiences like making crowns from leaves and flower bracelets, which made the waiting time enjoyable for children as well. I participated in the buffet course, but I felt there were fewer types of dishes, and since the staff served the food, it gave the impression of a bento-style meal. The food was delicious.

I was a bit dissatisfied with the variety of the menu and the way it was served. We received two drink tickets, allowing us to choose our favorite drinks from the counter, including alcohol and soft drinks!

Unfortunately, it rained on the day of the event, and I had to participate wearing a raincoat, so I couldn't see the sunset, which brought my mood down a bit, but that's just the weather... The show itself was authentic, and I thoroughly enjoyed traditional dances like hula and fire dancing. Some parts of the show involved audience participation, which was fun. However, since the show was primarily conducted in English, it might be a bit difficult to understand if you don't know any English.

I got the impression that there were more Western participants than Japanese ones. Overall, I enjoyed it, but considering the content of the food and the overall cost performance of the experience, it felt a bit overpriced.

ショーの一部観客も参加型になっていて楽しむことが出来ました。

I boarded three times before the COVID-19 pandemic. The atmosphere was nice, and there were staff members who could speak Japanese. I was really looking forward to this trip to Hawaii after a long time, but the staff prioritized foreign guests and were not friendly towards Japanese guests. The drinks I ordered took over 30 minutes to arrive, and they didn't even ask if I wanted a refill on the bread. The only saving grace was the beautiful fireworks from Hilton. Overall, I'm just disappointed.

A shuttle bus came to the hotel and it took about 30 minutes to the venue. There were no Japanese people on board, which made me quite anxious. However, the driver said "Japanese!" and encouraged travelers from different countries.

At the venue, I could only confirm one other group of Japanese participants besides us, but I felt that it actually enhanced the atmosphere. The shuttle service and the local staff were attentive, and I was able to enjoy the experience without any major issues. There was a dedicated staff member who spoke Japanese for the Japanese guests. The staff's words, "Please feel free to reach out if you need anything," provided a great sense of reassurance.

Drinks were exchanged for tickets, and while some drinks required an additional fee, most could be enjoyed with the tickets. The food mainly featured Hawaiian dishes, which were decent, and I thought it wasn't bad at all. The show combined traditional elements with entertainment, and I enjoyed it throughout.

ました。ハワイのサンセットから始まり、レイをもらい本場のレイの重みや綺麗さも感じることができました。全体的にとても良かったと思います。

To avoid altitude sickness, we ascended slowly, and near the top, they flexibly adjusted our location based on the weather and the number of tourists. Although it was almost a full moon, we could see many stars, and the explanation using the telescope was very interesting. Next time, I would like to go during a different season, preferably close to a new moon.

You can borrow a jacket and gloves similar to ski wear, which provides considerable warmth, but it's also good to bring a down inner layer, a hat that covers your ears, and socks that don't expose your ankles. My husband wore down pants as well, so he was even more insulated from the cold.

First, it took too long for the service to bring the Mai Tai after we were seated... We missed the toast (crying).
We were guided to the buffet by table.
The food was neither particularly good nor bad. The sauce for the main roast beef didn't cling well to the meat. I wish there had been more variety in the desserts. I feel like the food was better when I attended before COVID. That said, I did go back for more roast beef (laughs). I think it would have been nice if they had labeled the dishes. Anyway, it was fully booked.

Such a fun night. The food options were delicious. The activities and vendors were interesting and informative. The show is very entertaining and fun to watch. The host, Paul, was fantastic and he made it special for my fiancé and l as he heard we got engaged a few days prior. We got to get our own dance along those who were celebrating anniversaries. That was such a sweet surprise and totally unexpected. I highly recommend luau! The transportation was also fantastic and super easy.

Our group was looking forward to our first luau and as we arrived at the destination it started raining. While the hosts were quick to hand out rain ponchos, the rain affected the event.

First, the hosts were rushed to get folks registered and get things moving. As a result, our group was never able to get our picture taken before the event started. Knowing this was an outdoor venue and its rainy season, I would have expected that certain things would have been under cover - like the photo area, the stage and honestly even the seating.

The food was under cover and was good. Not spectacular but good. A couple of our group had raw fish and were all sick that night so having certain foods outside for an extended period was not smart.

The performance from the warriors was good. They tried to show the different dress/dance of various polynesian groups but it would have benefited from more clarity on their differences as they all stared looking the same.

The ONE performance I was looking forward to was the fire dance. It was a disappointment. I expected all the adult performers to have choreographed a phenomenal dance of fire, complete with fire twirling, throwing etc. Instead they handed the "fire dance" off to one young boy for a solo act and two young boys to show off what they learned. YES, they were very good! but the magic of a "warrior tribe" dancing the fire dance was lost. The adults did come back for a grand finale - but it seems confusing at best.

The window-side seat on the top floor had a great view and the food was delicious. However, the size of the steak was clearly smaller than those at the surrounding tables, which was disappointing. Additionally, they did not bring water to us or other Japanese guests.

I felt a bit sad about various things, but the evening and night views were wonderful, and we could see the fireworks well, so I think it was still a good experience. I believe those who participate can enjoy it if they have a relaxed mindset.

窓際席、一番上の階で景色も良くお料理も美味しかったです。しかし、ステーキの大きさが周りのテーブルより明らかに小さく、残念な気持ちになりました。また、私たちや他の日本人にはお水を持ってきてくれませんでした。
色々悲しい気持ちでしたが、夕景、夜景は素晴らしく花火も良く観れたので良かったのかなとは思います。
参加される方は心にゆとりがあれば楽しめるとは思います。

Last year, we registered our marriage and, being a bit older, we weren't considering a wedding ceremony. However, after researching sunset cruises, we found an option for a vow renewal. We updated our marriage vows for our second anniversary and received a certificate, commemorative photos, and a bottle of champagne for toasting.

We were seated at a couple's table by the window, allowing us to enjoy the view while dining. The sunset and the night view of Honolulu were absolutely wonderful. There were hula dances and various performances, and everyone on the boat had a great time. I chose the one-star meal since I have a small appetite, but the portion was more than enough.

I requested a private seat or a window-side seat. The seat was at the very back, right next to the aisle, and close to the restroom, with people constantly passing by, making it impossible to enjoy my meal in peace. Furthermore, the window was partially blocked by stairs and a wall, so there was hardly any sense of privacy or a window-side experience. I was very disappointed, especially since I paid an additional fee to participate. If it had been that seat without the extra cost, I could have accepted it as just bad luck, but given that I paid extra for such a terrible seat, I cannot recommend it... It was very disappointing as it was the last meal of my trip.

The sunset cruise was absolutely gorgeous and worth of your time. It was our anniversary with my wife and had a wonderful evening with the awesome Hula show and with the friendly crew members on board. Customer service was excellent and we will be coming back shortly. Food was of course great too and my favorite part was the BBQ chicken with the MaiTai cocktail!

The weather was nice, we enjoyed delicious food on the boat, watched Polynesian and Hawaiian dances, and had a great time. My one-year-old grandchild was with us, and I appreciate all the consideration you showed. It became a wonderful memory for our family trip.

We utilized the service with my elderly grandparents and two young children, making it a three-generation experience. The staff were very kind, and I was impressed by their consideration for my grandfather in a wheelchair and their interaction with the children. The cruise ship was large and spacious, and the views were exceptionally beautiful. We chose a plan that included photos, and the pictures turned out to be surprisingly beautiful, capturing everyone well, so I was glad we opted for the photo package. Since we booked it for our last night, it was a wonderful experience to reflect on our trip to Hawaii while enjoying the night view of Waikiki.

I made a reservation for this day thinking it would be great to see the Hilton fireworks. Before boarding, we were welcomed with a show.

Once we boarded and were shown to our seats... I had the impression that in Japan, it's common for two people to sit facing each other, but we were seated side by side instead. I thought it was a considerate arrangement to make conversation easier, but it felt a bit awkward. In front of us were a child and their father seated in the same manner. Next to us was a Japanese couple seated facing each other... I was a bit confused about the seating arrangement.

Before I knew it, we set sail!! The sun gradually began to set.

The food was served in order after we departed. Honestly, there was quite a wait. We had salad, rice, yakisoba, sautéed swordfish, miso grilled chicken, and the main dish, roast beef. The taste was decent. Personally, I found the roast beef a bit too rare for my liking...

While the food was just okay, I really felt the hospitality from the dancers and staff. The show was a lot of fun, and the staff also showcased their dancing skills!! It was a bit strange, but it really got everyone excited!!

Finally, we returned to port after watching the Hilton fireworks. There were various ups and downs, but in the end, it was a very enjoyable time!!

乗船前には歓迎のショーでお出迎えしてくださいました。
いざ乗船し席に案内されると・・・・
通常日本では２名だと、向かい合わせが一般的と認識してましたが、隣合わせに・・・会話しやすいようにとの気遣いと思うようにしましたが、違和感はありました。そして前にはお子さんとお父さんが同じように隣り合わせに。
そしてまた隣は日本人のカップルが向かい合わせに・・・なんだかどういう席の割り振りやら・・・
そうこうしている間に出航！！
徐々に日が沈み。サンセット！
料理は、出航してから順番に案内されます。正直、結構待ちます。
サラダ、ライス、焼きそば、カジキマグロのソテー、みそ焼きチキン、そしてメイン(？)のローストビーフ。
味は、そこそこおいしかったです。ローストビーフは自分的には少し生っぽくて・・・ダメでした。
ま、料理はそんな感じでしたが、ダンサーやスタッフの皆さんのおもてなしはすごく感じました。
とても楽しいショー、そしてスタッフも負けずとダンスを披露！！これがなんだか微妙なんですが、とても盛り上がりました！！
そしてヒルトンの花火をみて帰港。
いろいろありましたが、終わってみたらとても楽しいひと時でした！！
