Celebrating my wife's birthday on the Star of Honolulu! It was organized from the time we were picked up at our hotel by bus to being seated at our reserved table. The ship is divided by what package you purchase (excellent idea). We got a chance to watch fireworks from the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel beach. But was wonderful was the breezes off the ocean in addition to the wonderful sunset while you have your meal. Your meal is brought to your table by the fantastic wait staff. Live music is performed while dining. Later, there is a hula/chaka show. Before you know it, the night is over. My wife received a special birthday cake that was light as a feather and delicious. We ended our stay in Oahu with this dinner cruise. Best time spent. Would do it again just for the sunsets.

Buffet: Simply put, it’s not good. They advertise roast beef, but it’s just tough. I was astonished that they would serve this quality of food for this price. I think it’s better to buy prepared food at ABC Store.

Staff: I believe it’s just a lack of training, but the quality of guidance and service is not good. The waiter was unfriendly, and after disembarking, there was no greeting or farewell atmosphere; it felt like they were just rushing us off the ship and onto the bus.

Show: They are desperately trying to hype things up. Despite that, the singing isn’t good; it felt like they were just trying to create an atmosphere of excitement by getting everyone to dance. At the end, they called out someone celebrating a birthday, but the surrounding atmosphere was filled with a sense of “???” which made it quite awkward.

Tour Company: They are just replying with template responses to experience posts, so I don’t think there will be any dramatic improvements in the future. They write things like “to strengthen customer service,” but I doubt it will get better.

Sunset: It looks great for photos from the ship. I think it’s better to take proper shots with a DSLR or something similar.

Fireworks: It’s nice that you can see them from the ship. Since people start reserving spots fairly early, it’s better to secure a place for the fireworks rather than watching the meal or show.

Overall: If you’re going to spend this much, I think it’s better to choose another restaurant or upgrade your hotel. Unless you absolutely want to see the fireworks from the ship, I don’t think it’s worth participating, especially on a trip to Hawaii.

ビュッフェ:シンプルに美味しくないです。ローストビーフを謳っていますが、とにかく硬い。この金額を出してこのクオリティの料理を出されるのかと呆れるレベルです。普通にABCストアでお惣菜を買った方がマジだと思います。
スタッフ:練度不足なだけとは思いますが案内やサービスの質は良くないです。ウェイターは無愛想、下船後は挨拶もお見送の雰囲気もなくとにかく船から降ろさせてバスに乗せる作業をしている感じでした。
ショー:とにかく盛り上げようと必死。その割に歌は上手くない、とにかく踊らせて盛り上げてる感を何とか作り出したいという感じでした。最後にお誕生日の方が呼ばれていましたが、周りの雰囲気としては「???」という空気感で何とも言えない微妙感満載でした。
ツアー会社:体験談の投稿に関して定型文で返信してるだけなので今後劇的に改善されることは無いと思います。「カスタマーサービス強化のための〜」とか書いてありますが、まあ良くなることは無いでしょう。
サンセット:船上から見るので写真映えはします。一眼レフなどでしっかり撮影した方が良いと思います。
花火:船上から見られるのでそこは良いと思います。ある程度早い時間から場所取りが始まるので食事やショーを観るくらいなら花火を観るための場所取りをして待機しておくくらいの方が良いと思います。
総評:この値段を出すくらいなら他のレストランを選ぶことや宿泊ホテルのグレードを上げる方が良いと思います。絶対に船上からの花火を観たいという人以外はせっかくのハワイ旅行ですので参加するべきでは無いと思います。

I capped off our 20th wedding anniversary with this Sunset Cruise. My wife and I were tremendously pleased with everything from start to finish. From the greetings to fireworks everything was on point. The food was delicious and the wait staff was impeccable. The live jazz music was great. I recommend you get the luxury experience with all the options. We enjoyed the 5 star treatment. It was classy and sophisticated. This will be a very memorable experience.

The staff's service was very good! The food was a bit off for Japanese people, and the only thing I liked was the fruit; the rest didn't suit my taste!

The fireworks were farther away than I expected, and I thought it would be nice to see them from the beach! I wouldn't recommend making a reservation if there were no fireworks!

This was my second time attending, after participating before the pandemic. Previously, there was a dance at the end where all the participants joined in. That was fun in its own way, but this time, the final hula dance show was also great. I happened to have a seat right in front of the main stage, so I was able to enjoy the best show up close.

The plan with transportation to the hotel was reassuring. We were able to see a beautiful sunset and took many great photos. The hula show was wonderful, and I was a bit surprised that the ladies serving drinks also participated in the show.

Very Accessible and Enjoyable Cruise

We had a great time on the Dinner Cruise. We were especially impressed when we received a call from Medina from the Body Glove office. She noticed that we stated we both had limited mobility when we registered, so she called to tell us we could park at the pier right across from the boat and arranged to have their crew unlock the gate for us when we arrived. This made it very easy to board. The crewmembers assisted my wife, who uses a walker, during boarding and when getting off the boat. Everyone on the crew was very warm and friendly. Service was excellent. Food was good. Entertainment was a lot of fun. I highly recommend this cruise and thank the folks at Body Glove for their kind assistance to both of us.

We participated with our two elementary school children (a 6th grader and a 1st grader). We were blessed with great weather and were able to see a wonderful sunset and night view. The food was delicious, and we were satisfied, although it might be a bit too much for the kids. When we took our seats, we received various explanations, but since everything was in English, those who are not good at it might feel a bit confused. However, we could understand what was being said through the atmosphere. The hula show and music were enjoyable as we could watch them at a leisurely pace. I was worried about the kids getting seasick, but there were no problems at all, and we had a great time.

Luau was amazing
Food was amazing
It’s just a shame that you guys didn’t pick us up.
Had to get a taxi to the show which was lucky we found one that could take my husbands mobility scooter.
Made some phone calls to complain and sent an email to complain
We were promised a ride back to hotel on bus.
The hostess on the bus on the way was very rude to us
We did receive a small refund which we will grateful for.
Just a suggestion (which I did mention in my emails) for future tours. That maybe your host on the buses actually go and check with all persons that may be waiting by the pickup point or little further away from pickup point. You are dealing with tourists and not everyone will know where the exact pickup points are. Also in our case have the actual name of the tour in front window of bus. Our bus did not have this. Otherwise we would like have know. The host for our tour actually started walking down towards where we were standing but turned back around half way down. She would have seen my husband was in a mobility scooter and would i assume have this information written on your paperwork.

My husband was in a mobility scooter and we were told by your company that he could not use it as weighed too
Much so had to hire a wheelchair.
When got on the bus we mentioned it to the star of Honolulu host and she said we did not need to do that. So maybe for any future customers you could check your information first.

Honestly, the food wasn't very good...
It's disappointing, especially since there are so many delicious restaurants in Hawaii...
But there were shows, and the view of Hawaii from the rooftop was a great memory.

If the food had been good, it would have been perfect.

A trip to Hawaii with my 92-year-old mother and three generations
I was looking forward to whale watching, but my mother said she didn't want to go, possibly due to fatigue, so I requested to change it to the next day, and they were very accommodating.
On the way to the harbor, we saw a rainbow, which made me feel like we would meet the whales.
After setting sail, they met our expectations, and we saw them many times.
Watching them swim gracefully in the waters of Waikiki made me feel the essence of Hawaii.
At the end, we witnessed them spouting water and slapping their large tails on the surface of the sea.

We participated as a family of two! We shared a round table for six, but we didn't feel any issues with that. The events on stage (performances and dances) were very impressive. The food was delicious too! We enjoyed the night view of Honolulu and the sunset from the observation deck on the ship. We received two drink tickets, allowing us to enjoy various cocktails during the cruise. I thought it was a bit pricey, but I am very satisfied with the experience we had!

I met up with my friend's family on-site, and they prepared a seat for all of us together, allowing us to have a great time. The weather was nice, and the sunset was very beautiful, which was moving. The performance included various arrangements of songs, including some Japanese ones, which was enjoyable.

It was a bit disappointing that I could only go to get food once due to time constraints.

I was satisfied with the desserts and drinks.

This was my third time on the cruise. For the first time, I enjoyed a wonderful sunset. I never knew the sun could set so beautifully; as time passed, the colors of the sunset changed, showcasing various shades. It was a theater of colors in the Pacific Ocean of Hawaii, free from any distractions.

The night view of Honolulu from the ship was also incredibly beautiful. The city lights reflected on the water, adding to the splendor. I wonder when I will be able to see such amazing natural scenery again?

The performance aside, the limited stage space made the show feel a bit lacking, but overall, I enjoyed it.
We, who participated from Kobe, had no expectations for the American beef, but it turned out to be surprisingly delicious.
I think it was a total enjoyable experience with the show, the meal, and the view from the ship.

I utilized the buffet meal on Saturday, October 12th. The view of Waikiki's night scenery from the sunset and the sea was amazing. The food was decent... well, there was plenty of it. The showtime was, of course, difficult to understand in English. The captain, who seemed to be in charge, was friendly and could speak a little Japanese, which was somewhat reassuring. Posted during my stay from October 10th to October 15th.
