On the second day in Hawaii, we chose a submarine as our first activity. We boarded the boat from the pier, looking forward to the blue sea, and headed to the transfer point for the submarine. The captain and other crew members walked around the boat, allowing us to take photos freely. We were lucky to encounter a sea turtle along the way.

However, the view of the sea from inside the submarine wasn't very clear, and perhaps due to bad timing, we could only see fish from a distance, which was a bit different from what we had expected. There were many participants from Europe and America, and the atmosphere was lively thanks to the English guide, but it seemed that those who didn't understand English felt a bit left out. I wished there had been a bit more entertainment value. The staff didn't speak Japanese, but they were all cheerful and very nice.

ハワイについて二日目、最初のアクティビティとして潜水艦を選択。
青い海に期待して桟橋から船に乗り込み、潜水艦との乗り換え地点まで行きます。
キャプテンや他のクルーが船内を回り、カメラ撮影を気軽にしてくれます。
途中でウミガメに出会えたのがラッキーでした。
潜水艦の中から見る海は、あまり透明感を感じず、タイミングが悪かったのか魚も遠目に見えただけで少し期待とは異なっていました。
艦内は欧米からの参加者も多く英語ガイドによって盛り上がっていましたが、英語がわからない人たちは少し取り残された感があったように思えます。
もう少しエンターテイメント感があったらいいのになと感じました。
スタッフは日本語を話せませんが、みなさん明るくいい方ばっかりでした。

We participated as a family of three: my husband, daughter, and two grandmothers. We chose this tour because I wanted to show my grandmother, who can't swim, the underwater world, and I also wanted to show my daughter the fish in the ocean from a submarine.

The guide was in English, so I couldn't understand much, but there were translated guide messages in various languages coming through the headphones inside the submarine, which was quite educational.

Since I have no experience diving, it was refreshing to see the sunken ships and planes that serve as homes for the fish.

It was nice to take a boat out to sea and then board the submarine; it felt like a bit of a bonus to be able to enjoy both experiences.

I thought it was a little cold inside the submarine.

夫婦＋娘＋祖母２名での参加でした。
泳ぐことが出来ない祖母に海中を見せたくて，また，娘に潜水艦で海の中の魚を見せたくてこのツアーを選びました。

ガイドが英語だったので全然わからなかったですが，艦内のヘッドフォンからは各国語に訳されたガイドメッセージが流れていたので色々と勉強になりました。

海に潜る経験がないので，廃船や廃飛行機が魚の住処として沈められているのを見ることができたのは新鮮でした。

船で沖合に出てそこから潜水艦に乗船できるのも，船にも乗れて少しお得な気分になりました。

艦内少し寒かったように思います。

It's a bit pricey, and there's no place to take a break from the heat, but it's nice that you can interact not only with dolphins but also with birds and fish.

ちょっと高いのと、暑さしのぎの休憩場所がないのが難点ですが、イルカだけでなく、鳥や魚とふれあえるのがいいですね

I used to dive every year, but recently I switched to snorkeling, and I was told that I should definitely see the manta rays, so I participated. For the first 30 minutes, the manta rays didn't appear, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to endure the seasickness. When the manta finally showed up, it circled right beneath us multiple times, and it was an incredible experience. It's amazing that such a large creature doesn't attack. Once it appeared, it stayed right below us the whole time.

However, since I was feeling seasick, I returned to the boat earlier than the others. On the way out, we were given either canned ginger ale, juice, or water along with snacks. I chose the ginger ale, thinking I had to drink it all, and I ended up feeling too full. For those who are prone to seasickness, I recommend taking your drink back with you and just sipping a little of what you brought.

Also, for those who have never snorkeled before, I think it would be a bit difficult unless you practice in the sea first. If you're prone to seasickness, I think it's better to sign up for a tour that departs from in front of the Sheraton Hotel.

ダイビングを毎年していた人が、この頃はシュノーケルに変えて、その中でもマンタだけは見た方がよいというので、参加しました。マンタが最初30分ぐらい現れず、船酔いもしていたので、気持ち悪くて耐えられるか心配でした。やっと現れたマンタは、何度も私たちの体の真下を旋回して、それはそれはすごい経験でした。あんなに体が大きいのに、襲わないなんて不思議です。一度現れた後は、ずっと真下にいました。
　ただ船酔いをしていたので、他の人よりは早く船に戻りました。行きに缶のジンジャエールか、ジュースか水とお菓子をもらうのですが、私はジンジャエールをもらい、最後まで飲まなきゃいけないと思って、全部飲んだら胃が満杯になってしまったのだと思います。酔いやすい人は、それは持ち帰って、自分が持ってきた飲み物を少しだけ飲むことをお勧めします。
　またシュノーケルを一度もやったことがない人は、海で練習してからでないと、ちょっと無理だと思います。
　酔いやすい人は、シェラトンホテルの前で見ることになるので、そちらから出るツアーを申し込んだ方がよいと思います。

It seems that the encounter rate with manta rays is almost 100%. We were able to see them perfectly during our time there. The manta rays showed themselves more than ten times, and on one occasion, we even saw their underside.

On the way to the dive site, we encountered a pod of dolphins and were very satisfied to see them jumping out of the water.

Our guide, Musashi, was handsome and kind. I would love to do this again if the opportunity arises.

マンタとの遭遇率はほぼ100%のようです。
私たちの時もバッチリ見れました。マンタは10回以上姿を見せてくれ、うち1回はお腹側も見れました。
ポイントに行くまでの間には、イルカの群れに遭遇して、海面を飛び跳ねる姿も見れて大満足です。

ガイドのムサシさんはイケメンで親切でした。
また機会があったらお願いします。

I experienced this for the first time at my wife's request. The interaction with the dolphins was amazing. I thought the show was also nice and intimate.

奥様のリクエストで初めて体験しました。イルカとのアトラクションは最高でした。ショーもこじんまりとして良かったと思います。

It was a tour I joined during my free time, and I was lucky to encounter a pod of dolphins by chance. I think it's relatively affordable and easy to participate in compared to other options in Hawaii.

空き時間に参加したツアーでしたが、偶然イルカの集団に遭遇できラッキーでした。
ハワイの中では比較的安価で参加しやすいと思います。

The dolphins swirled around us. We also got to see the baby dolphins spinning on the surface, and the turtles were leisurely swimming, which was very enjoyable. The staff's enthusiasm and energy were evident, making it a great tour. It's doable with toddlers if you put in the effort, but I left my 5-year-old with my wife and came alone. I highly recommend it.

イルカがぐるぐると回ってくれました。赤ちゃんイルカの水面スピンも見れ、亀ものんびりしていてとても楽しかったです。スタッフの盛り上げと情熱が伝わってきてよいツアーだと思います。幼児連れは頑張ればできますが私は5歳児を家内に預けて一人来ました。お勧めです。

in a nutshell. my granddaughter describe this family adventure as: "I was sleepy this early morning, but I was so excited afterwords to see the sharks in the ocean". The service was nice, very comfortable boat ride and well organized team. we watched the sharks for 20 minutes and it was like 20 minutes exploring the other world, the world of ocean and beautiful ocean creatures - sharks. so excited, so much fun. it definitely worth the money we spent. thank you the for some complementary souvenirs, my granddaughter liked the stickers )) we would recommend this activity and experience for families with children, and others. thank you, Valeriy, Russia.

This time, my spouse and I participated in the dolphin encounter. We didn't get bored before the participation time as we watched the show and played in a small area with many birds. It was reassuring that there was someone who explained the precautions in Japanese. I felt that the time we spent touching the dolphins was short for the price, but I understand that this was decided by the Sea Life Park based on the dolphins' condition, so it can't be helped. The content of the tour was very good! I was satisfied to be able to do something that is not easily available in Japan.

今回は夫婦でドルフィンエンカウンターに参加しました。参加時間までショーをみたり鳥がたくさんいる小屋に入って遊んだり退屈しなかったです。日本語で注意点を説明してくれる人もいて安心しました。料金の割にはイルカと触れる時間が短いと感じましたがそこはイルカの状態に合わせシーライフパークの方が決めたことなので仕方ないと思います。ツアーの内容はとても良かったです！日本ではなかなかできないことをできて満足です

It took about 30 minutes by rubber boat to reach the point. Two manta rays gracefully appeared. They came very close and danced around, which was a bit surprising. This manta ray tour seemed to be a side tour organized by a main operator. The day before the tour, I received a request to change to a later time because the original tour was canceled for boat inspection and repairs. Initially, I considered canceling my participation in the tour, but it went ahead as scheduled. Upon reflection, I think it wasn't due to the boat inspection and repairs, but rather that they hadn't reached the minimum number of participants. Additionally, even after the meeting time had passed, the tour operator did not arrive, making it feel like a disorganized company.

ゴムボートで片道約30分でポイントに到着。2枚のマンタが優雅に現れてくれました。もうすれすれまで来て舞ってくれてちょっとびびりました。このマンタのツアーも元締めみたいのがいてそのおこぼれツアーのようでした。ツアーの前日に、船の点検修理のためその時間のがキャンセルになり遅い時間のに変更依頼を受けました。当初は、ツアー参加のキャンセルを考えましたが、ツアーは予定どおりに催行されました。よくよく考えると、船の点検修理のためではなく、最少催行人数に達していなかったのだと思いました。また集合時間を過ぎても催行社は来ず、でたらめな会社のように感じました。

I'm more than excited to write this review. Thanks for a good time this morning. I'd recommend this adventure for anyone who loves the ocean and these fantastic creatures. Sharks were friendly and gorgeous. The crew was knowledgeable and professional. This is definitely five stars experience with lots of fun. We enjoyed the morning on a comfortable boat, with an excellent crew and Sharks! I have done similar activities before, and I can tell that you did a good job guys. The arrangements were smooth. The pickup and drop-off after arrival were also seamless, making it a great value and very convenient. I will definitely use this service again next time.

Amazing! Saw 20+ sharks and got within inches of them. (90% were sand bar sharks with 2 hammerheads sprinkled in there). Definitely coming back!

Unfortunately, it seems that the whales went towards Canada, so we couldn't go whale watching. I'm disappointed that it looks like I won't be able to use the tickets before they expire! I'll try again next year.

I decided to participate to excite my elementary school son, but my wife and I ended up being the ones who were excited. Since we had no experience with scuba diving, it was a lot of fun to dive into the ocean. Additionally, the guide had a great sense of humor, so I'm glad we joined. I highly recommend this for families!

小学生の息子を興奮させてみようと思い参加しましたが、私と妻の方が興奮してしまいました。スキューバなど未経験だったので、海に潜るというのが愉しかったです。
また、案内の人もユーモアだったので参加してよかったです。家族で参加にお薦めです!

I made a reservation in advance in Japan to stay at the Kahala Hotel. I am overwhelmed with joy that my long-time dream of swimming with dolphins has come true. It was a genuine interaction, not just the typical experience of touching dolphins that you often find in Japan. We participated as a couple, but it seemed that families in the same group were also enjoying themselves.

If I had to mention a downside, I was a bit concerned about the water's cleanliness. It might be due to the dolphins' waste, which is understandable... Since it's not a fish tank, it might be difficult to purify the lagoon. Also, I feel that the price is a bit too high.

I definitely recommend it to anyone staying at the Kahala.

カハラホテルに宿泊の為、事前に日本で予約しました。
長年夢見てきたドルフィンスイムが叶い感無量です。
日本国内でよくあるイルカに触れる程度ではない本当の触れ合いが楽しめました。
我々はカップルでの参加でしたが、同じグループの親子も楽しんで居られた様です。
あえてマイナスポイントを書くとしたら、
水の汚れがやや気になりました。イルカの排泄物だから仕方ないかもしれませんが・・・
生け簀ではないラグーンなので浄化が難しいのかな？
あと、少し料金が高すぎな気もします。

カハラにお泊りの方には絶対おすすめだと思います。

Fabulous! Great people...clean windows - lots of sea life. Scuba divers bring things right up to the windows!

I was scheduled for a 9:10 pickup, but I overslept and woke up at 10:00... I hurriedly contacted them, and they quickly changed the time for me. The crew members were all fun people, and we encountered various creatures like turtles, sharks, and rays in the ocean. When I asked the kids what they enjoyed the most in Hawaii, they all shouted, "The submarine!" (^_^)

What started as a panic turned into a very enjoyable memory! I appreciate the kind assistance.

焦って連絡を入れたところ、すぐに別の時間へ変更してもらえました。
乗員の方々も楽しい人ばかりで、海中ではカメやサメ、エイなど色々な生き物に出会えました。子供たちも、ハワイで何が一番楽しかった？と聞くと、潜水艦！と声を揃えていいます(^_^)

焦りから一転、とても楽しい思い出になりました！

I went with my three-year-old and one-year-old grandchildren, along with six others.
The children's ticket prices being the same as adults felt very expensive.
For those who have seen shows in Japan, the performance level is quite low.
It's also disappointing that you can't take photos while touching the animals.
What was fun was the area where you can play with the birds.

３歳と１歳の孫と６人で行って来ました。
子供料金が大人と同じなのは、すごく高く感じました。
ショーは日本のを見ている人には、とても芸が低いです。
触っているのを写真が撮れないのも残念です。
楽しかったのは、鳥と遊べるところです。

I participated with a friend. It took about 40 minutes from the meeting point to the boat dock. Upon arrival, we watched an explanation DVD (in Japanese) and boarded the boat. There was a female staff member who was a fourth-generation Japanese American and spoke Japanese, which made me feel at ease.

The sea was quite rough with strong winds, so it's advisable to take motion sickness medication. There were about 30 participants, and although the waiting time was long, I didn't mind too much as I could see turtles swimming and enjoy the scenery. We waited while eating snacks that were like small bags of potato chips and drinking water.

It was late August, but it felt quite cold. Especially after diving, everyone was shivering, so I think it would be good to have something to wrap around you or a towel for your lower body. Some people brought waterproof cases for their smartphones to dive with, but the staff also took photos and videos. The photos cost $15 per person, and purchasing the videos costs a bit more, but the photos were sent to the email address I provided later. I was satisfied with how they turned out.

When entering and exiting the helmet part, you have to submerge your head, so it might be scary for those who are not comfortable putting their face in the water. I was wearing contact lenses, so I closed my eyes while going in and out. The glass part is telescopic, so I was told to take off my glasses, and my friend did so.

The time spent underwater flew by, but the instructor was with us one-on-one, so I was able to enjoy the underwater walk with peace of mind!

友達と二人で参加しました。
集合場所から船乗り場までは、40分くらいかかりました。到着すると、説明のDVD(日本語)を見て、船に乗り込みました。日系4世という日本語が分かる女性スタッフさんがいらっしゃったので、安心でした。
海上は風が強くて、かなりうねりがありますので、酔い止めは飲んだ方がいいです。
30人くらい参加者がいて、待ち時間が長かったですが、泳いでいる亀の姿が見えたり、景色を楽しんだりしていたので、それほど気になりませんでした。小さな袋に入ったポテチのようなお菓子を食べながら、お水を飲みながら待ちました。
8月の後半でしたが、かなり寒く感じました。特に潜った後はみなさんガタガタ震えていたので、羽織るものや下半身に巻くタオルなどがあった方がよいかと思います。
防水ケースにスマホを入れて潜る方もいらっしゃいましたが、スタッフの方が写真も動画も撮ってくれます。写真は一人15ドル、動画も購入するともう少しかかりますが、後日申告したメールアドレスに写真が送られてきました。写りもよかったので満足しています。
ヘルメット？の部分に入る時と出る時は、頭まで潜らないとダメなので、顔をつけるのが苦手な方は怖いかもしれません。私はコンタクトをしていたので、目をつぶって出入りしました。ガラスの部分が望遠になっているので、メガネは外してくださいと言われ友達はメガネを外していました。
海中にいる時間はあっという間でしたが、インストラクターさんが一対一でついてくださるので、安心して水中散歩を楽しめました！

I was a little scared to go underwater, but since I had one-on-one assistance, I didn't feel scared at all. Above all, the staff were very kind and seemed to be having fun, which made me enjoy it too.
I made the reservation online two days before arriving in Hawaii, and it worked out perfectly.
The underwater scenery was truly beautiful. A lot of fish came close, and there were sea turtles as well.
I highly recommend it.

水中に入るのは少し怖かったのですが、マンツーマンで補助していただけるので、何も怖くなかったです。何よりもスタッフの皆さんがとても親切で楽しそうにしていて、こちらも楽しくなりました。
ハワイについてからの前々日にネットから予約したのですが、間に合いました。
水中の景色は本当に綺麗でした。魚が大漁に寄ってきました。ウミガメもいました。
おすすめします。

Wow, there were so many sharks! It was an amazing experience, and I was very satisfied!

While I was watching from inside the cage and waiting on the boat while other groups were having their turn, the boat was rocking a lot, and I felt like I might get seasick. There were a few people who actually got sick.

めちゃ、サメがいた〜。すご〜い経験ができて大満足!

ゲージの中で、見ている間と、船の上で、他のグループが体験している間待っている間が、とても船が揺れて酔いそうだった。酔ってる人が数人いた。

I was wondering what Sea Bob was like, and I was moved when I entered the sea. Fish the size of my palm gathered, attracted by the bread, and the sight was beautiful. After the Sea Bob experience, I was able to see a sea turtle up close while snorkeling. I experienced seven optional tours, but this was the most popular with my family.

シーbobどんなものかと思ってましたが、海に入り感動。
パン の餌に誘われて、手のひら大の魚が集まり、その光景が綺麗でした。
シーbob体験後のシュノーケリングは浮上した海亀を間近で見ることが出来ました。
7つのオプショナルツアーを体験しましたが、家族1番人気でした。

It felt like a manta ray! However, my wife was very anxious, saying, "Entering the night sea and having a manta ray approach with its mouth wide open..." After talking with her about various things, she gathered her courage and finally participated!

Once we actually joined, her impression changed completely, and she was overjoyed, saying, "The manta ray is so cute, I'm so glad!" Our guide, Tori-chan, was wonderful! She was so energetic and taught us various things about manta rays, including their ecology, habits, and names, in a storytelling format. Most importantly, she explained, "Manta rays are very friendly and cute!" which eased our preconceived notions. The manta rays really came close to us repeatedly. My wife even got touched by one coming from the other side—how lucky! Thank you, Tori-chan! I definitely want to participate again.

マンタみたい～でも奥様は「夜の海に入るなんて～口を広げマンタが近づいてくるなんて～」ととても不安！そんな奥様といろいろ話して勇気を奮起いただき遂に参加しました‼
実際に参加してみたら、がらりと印象が変って「マンタとても可愛くってよかった～ね！」と大喜びでした。ガイドのトリちゃんが素晴らしかった！まず元気がもらえるし、紙芝居仕立てでマンタのこと生態・習性や名前がついているとかいろいろ教えてくれます。なんといっても「マンタはとても人懐こくってかわいいよ～！」って説明してくれて先入観ができて安心。マンタはホントにごく目の前をぐる～と何度も何度も寄ってきます。奥様には向こうから触ってきたって～うらやましい。トリちゃんありがと～！またぜひ参加したいです。

You can only have this kind of experience here! While you might think you can touch dolphins or kiss them at some aquariums, the unique experiences waiting for you here include swimming with dolphins and getting to touch them for a long time. However, the waiting time after the dolphin touch was quite long.

こんな体験は、ここでしかできません！
某水族館でもイルカタッチやイルカにチューはできるかと思われますが、イルカと一緒に泳いだり、イルカに長い時間タッチさせてもらうなど、ここでしかできない体験が待っています。
ただイルカタッチが終わったあとの待ち時間が長く待たされました。

I was worried about getting seasick, so I took motion sickness medication after breakfast. I didn't get sick, but I was hit by an overwhelming drowsiness. The deeper we went, the darker it became, and the visibility wasn't that clear, so I dozed off and felt a bit out of it. If asked if I would go again, my answer would be NO. As mentioned in Manou Yamashita's book, in the morning, there were mostly Japanese people, so if you want to feel like you're abroad, I recommend the afternoon trips. In the morning, it was nice to have a Japanese guide and be able to listen to the explanations without headphones since there were many Japanese people... It was good that the shuttle bus dropped us off not at the original location, but partway, allowing us to get off in front of DFS without returning to the Sheraton. By the way, Manou recommended walking along the coast to the boarding area instead of taking the shuttle bus.

酔ってしまったら嫌だなあと思って、酔い止め薬を朝食後に飲みました。酔わなかったですけど、もの凄い眠気に襲われ、艦内は潜れば潜るほど暗くなるし、そこまで透明度も明瞭でないので、ウトウト、ぼーっとしてしまいました。もう1回行く？と聞かれたら、ＮＯ、です。山下マヌーさんの本に載っていた通り、午前中は、日本人がほとんどだったので、海外気分を感じたいのであれば、午後便がお勧めです。午前は、日本語ガイドになり、（日本人が多かったので）ヘッドフォンをつけずに解説を聞けるのは良かったと思いますが・・・。送迎バスの送りで、元の場所でなく、途中で、おろしてもらえたのは良かったです。（シェラトンまで戻らずにＤＦＳ前で降車できた）ちなみに、マヌーさんは、送迎バスで運んでもらうのではなく、海岸をずっと歩いて、乗船場まで行くことをオススメしていました。

I participated with my family and my 2-year-old nephew. I was nervous that there might be a height check since he was just barely 92 cm, but there was no check, and we were able to board without any issues.

The boat from the beach to the submarine sways quite a bit. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the submarine, and during that time, people who are prone to motion sickness felt quite nauseous on the swaying boat. Once we boarded the submarine, it was calm and steady once submerged.

Underwater, the visibility was poor, and we couldn't see many fish. There were fish around the artificially sunk feeding area. I was a bit disappointed because the photos on the website looked too beautiful, and I had that image in mind. Additionally, inside the submarine, we only listened to explanations through headphones, and there was hardly any interaction from the crew, which was a bit disappointing. However, the elementary school-aged children seemed to enjoy it.

2歳の甥と家族で参加しました。身長が92cmギリギリだったので乗る前に検査でもあったらどうしようとドキドキしてましたが、特に検査もなく何も言われずに乗れました。
浜辺から潜水艦までの船が揺れます。また潜水艦を待ってる時間が10分くらいあり、その間も揺れる船上で待機のため酔いやすい人はかなり気持ち悪くなってました。潜水艦に乗船し、沈んでしまえば揺れもなく穏やかです。

沈むと海の中は濁っておりあまり魚が見えませんでした。人工的に沈められた餌場の周りには魚がいます。ホームページなどの写真が綺麗すぎるのでそのイメージでいたのでがっかりです。また、潜水艦の中はヘッドホンで説明を聞くだけで乗務員さんからの話はほとんど無いのでそれも少し残念です。小学生くらいの子供は楽しんでいました。
