The meeting time is set for 8:45, but you won't be able to board the ship until that time, so I don't recommend arriving too early. We had an awesome experience with Blue Hawaiian. We weren't able to experience the complete experience because of poor weather over Volcano National Park but Blue Hawaiian did an excellent job of working with us to create an alternative tour for us. Dale was great as our pilot and tour guide.

On the morning of the event, a bus came to pick us up near the hotel, and we were able to get to the site without any inconvenience. There were Japanese staff members at the site, and we were able to enjoy ourselves from start to finish! However, there were many fun activities available, such as a slide from the boat and stand-up paddleboarding, so we were able to have a great time throughout!

We had a great time on our Trip to Lanai! Our guide, Clive, was awesome. He took us around and let us spend as much time at each place as we wanted. He has lived on Lanai a long time and was able to give us insights into life on the island. We visited Garden of the Gods and Shipwreck Beach among other sights. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide or tour. He dropped us off at the Blue Ginger restaurant in Lanai City at the end of the tour at our request, where we had an excellent lunch. Then we toured around Lanai City for the rest of the afternoon.
We went back to the port early in order to visit the beach near the port (Hulopo’e beach), which is a 10 minute stroll from the port. Very nice beach. In order to do that we called the shuttle company, Rabaca’s limousine service (808-559-0230) who was able to send a van early to pick us up. No guarantee they will be able to do that, but worth giving them a call if desired.
The 150 meters above ground was higher than I expected! I think the moments of ascending and descending were the scariest! The view up there felt elegant and the scenery was beautiful!

We had a free afternoon on the Big Island and wanted to check out the Waipio Valley. After a little research, we found that the only way for non-locals to visit was with an official guide. The Waipio shuttle is a custom vehicle designed to safely navigate the tricky terrain - including steep grade and crossing shallow rivers. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! Tour organizers were excellent, great communications. Captain Larry and first mate Zach were great, excellent hosts and put us on a bunch of fish.
Started slow, trolling until we reached the bottom fishing sites . Caught a few fish, including small barracudas. Finally hit a spot where the actions was wild, at one time five fish on at the same time. Zach ably handled it all, including taking our pictures with the fish. If you wanted to bring them home, Zach had some good recipes.
On the way into the harbor, saw over a half dozen whales. Great experience!
Gary was a knowledgeable and easy guide, and everything was well organized.
