The show was impressive and very enjoyable. I rated it four stars because it was hot and sunny until sunset, but the service was very pleasant, as they offered drinks to the kids and provided two leis. The buffet was delicious and catered to Japanese tastes, so I even had some sushi that I wouldn't typically eat in Hawaii. I would love to participate again.

Grand Circle tour was great, the guide has a complete knowledge of the island and its history, altough there is not enough time to see the entire Dole Plantation at least it gives you the opportunity to enjoy a good pineapple treat, in general a must in any Hawaii vacation

Besides the great time at the Ali'i Luau, and the HA show, the Polynesian Cultural Center has a lot to offer, we start our adventure at 12 noon and at dinner time we were 75% done, every island has a lot of to see and do, from the kids games, to all family fun it was great, best Luau and best cultural experience!!

The sunrise tour starts early but it is totally worth it! None of the pictures I saw of the sunrise can communicate the shear beauty of the view. The sun creeps over the cloud cover and suddenly everything is lit up with golden sunshine. After that, they took us to the summit and a couple other places on the mountain to see the crater and then took us back down and served us breakfast.

I read about this experience beforehand, so I was prepared for the fact that Japanese wouldn't be understood. From the moment we were waiting for the bus at the Sheraton Aloha Landing, the atmosphere was unpleasant, and sure enough, my husband and I were the only Japanese on the large bus. Even when the guide was getting everyone excited, we were completely lost... The only thing I understood was that the bus we were on was number 4. It's important to remember this since we would be taking the same bus back (the return bus departs after everyone has boarded following the show).

After arriving, we put a sticker on our chests according to our seating class, received leis, and enjoyed a welcome drink of Mai Tai before moving on to take photos with the dancers.

While wandering around the venue, a Japanese staff member named Yuji approached us and explained various things. Since I was the only Japanese staff member there, he told me to call him if anything came up... His angelic words made me feel so much better.

The show itself was simply amazing and full of excitement! I won't write about the content here, so it's something to look forward to when you go.

If you're seated in the Orchid section, you receive a prepaid card worth $16 per person, so I recommend using it early. Drinks are generally around $7 to $11, and there are souvenir shops, so it's easy to spend it all.

After the show, the dancers will pose for photos in front of the bus. This could also be a fun experience!

When we were getting on the return bus, I told the guide in broken English that it was our 5th wedding anniversary and that we had our ceremony at the Crystal Chapel next door. He looked sad and said, "Why didn't you tell me?" It seems that if you mention special occasions to the guide beforehand, something fun awaits you later. We probably talked about it on the way to the venue, but we were completely lost...

It was disappointing not to understand the language, but everything else was perfect! Among the approximately 500 guests, we only met one other Japanese couple, but I think that’s the charm of experiencing a foreign country. The enthusiasm of the foreigners is fantastic, so it's important to enjoy yourself without being shy.

I want to participate again next year. Now, I really need to study English!!!

こちらの体験談で読んでいましたので、日本語が通じないのは覚悟のうえ参加してきました。
シェラトンのアロハランディングでバスを待っている時から、イヤ～な雰囲気でしたが、案の定、大型バスに日本人は私達夫婦のみ。
ガイドさんの話にみんなが盛り上がっても、ちんぷんかんぷん・・・
ただ、理解できたのが、乗っているバスが４番であること。
帰りも同じバスに乗るので、ここは重要です。（帰りのバスは、ショーが終わって全員が乗車したら出発します。）

到着後、座席のクラスに応じたシールを胸に貼り、レイを掛けてもらい、ウェルカムドリンクのマイタイを頂き、ダンサーとの記念撮影へ進みます。

会場内をブラブラしていると、ユウジさんという日本人スタッフさんが声を掛けてくれ、色々と説明してくれました。ここのスタッフで日本人は自分だけなので、何かあったらユウジを読んでくれって・・・　天使のようなお言葉に気持ちがすぅーっと楽になりました。

ショーの内容は、迫力満点で最高！の一言に尽きます。
内容は、ここには書きませんので、行ってみてのお楽しみです。

オーキッドの席だと、一人当たり１６ドルのプリペイドカードが付いていますので、早めに使ってしまうことをお勧めします。飲み物は大体７～１１ドル位かな、お土産屋さんもあるので、簡単に使い切ることができます。

ショーが終わってからは、バスの前でダンサーさんたちが記念撮影に応じてくれます。
これも楽しめるかもしれませんね！

帰りのバスに乗る時、片言の英語で、結婚５周年であること、隣のクリスタルチャペルで挙式したことをガイドさんに話すと、「教えてよ～」って悲しそうな顔をしながら言ってくれました。
そうです、記念日などの場合は、先にガイドさんに伝えておくと、あとで楽しいことが待っているようです。
おそらく、行のバス内でその話をしていたんでしょうけど、私たちはちんぷんかんぷんだったので・・・

言葉が分からない点は残念でしたが、それ以外はパーフェクトですね！
５００人位いるであろうゲストの中で出会った日本人は私達以外に１組だけでしたが、それこそが異国を味わう醍醐味であると思います。
外国人の乗りの良さは最高なので、恥ずかしがらず弾けて楽しむことが大切です。

来年、また参加したいと思っています。
さて、英語の勉強しなきゃ！！！

This tour was absolutely amazing! Not only did we have an awesome tour guide, Rory, but the sunrise was breathtaking! Rory got us there with plenty of time to spare and got us the best place to stand! He was so informative and passionate about his island! He gave us so much information about the culture of Hawaii that he didn't have to do. I can't recommend this tour enough!

Everything was wonderful!!!! From the bus ride with our awesome host, the activities, seating, food and show. It was a fantastic night out and great value for money. The food was incredible and the setting was just gorgeous. The performers were top quality and the whole show was executed with precision! I would recommend this Luau to anyone. I've been to the Big Island several times and always stay at the Kinkame Hotel, so I decided to participate this time... First, after checking in, we lined up at the gathering place for the luau. The gathering was at 4:30, but by 4:00, there were already about six people in line. Right after we lined up, many more started to join, and by the gathering time, there was a long queue. At that time, they asked if we wanted to pay an extra $20; if you said "NO," you stayed as you were. If you said "YES," you were directed to the upgrade line. After that, they started to offer various add-ons, like buying leis. Then, during the photo session, they would come around to sell you photos at your seats later on, which was also about $20. After the photos, we walked over to the luau area. The seats in front of the stage were occupied by those who had paid the extra fee (about ten rows of 18 people each), and we were directed to the rows behind them (the back rows had about 20 blocks of 18 people). However, even those who paid extra but arrived late were only one seat away from ours, so it didn't seem to matter much. We were seated before 5:00, but there was still about two hours until the luau show started; those who paid extra went first to get their food, and after about 200 people finished at the buffet, there was a specific order to follow, so by the time we went to get our food... After a long wait, the show finally started, but there were only about six dancers, so after each song, we had to listen to the host's singing and talking for a while (15 to 20 minutes of changing costumes). There was also a mysterious dance time to the songs... Foreigners might find it fun, but... Anyway, the show dragged on with long intervals, and the food was mediocre; spending $91 on this was truly a waste. By the way, we reached our limit and left midway. I won't be going again.

ハワイ島には何度か来ていて、いつもキンカメホテルに滞在するので今回参加しましたが・・・まず受付後はルアウの集合場所に並びます。４時半に集合ですが４時ですでに６人ほど並んでいました。私たちが並んだ直後から沢山並び始め集合時間には行列に。そして、その時＋２０ドルくらい払うか聞かれ【NO】ならそのまま。【YES】ならランクアップの列に通されます。そしてその後レイを買うか等。。色々＋を勧めて来ます。そして、記念撮影タイムでこちらは後程席まで売りに来ます。これも確か２０ドルくらいです。撮影後ぞろぞろ歩いてルアウの場所へ。そこで舞台前の席は先ほど＋を払った方々が座り（前席1ブロック１８人の列が約１０）並んだ順でその後ろの列に通されました（後ろの席は１ブロック１８人が２０くらいあります）。ただ＋払った人でも来るのが遅かった人は私たちの席と１つしか変わらないのであまり意味無いかな？と思います。席に着いたのが５時前でそこからルアウショーが始まるまで約２時間もありました；食事は＋を払った方が先に取りに行くシステムで２００人がビュッフェを取り終えた後に更にこの列・この列みたいに順番があるのでビュッフェを取りに行った頃には・・・・。そして長い待ち時間のあとやっとショーが始まるのですが、ダンサーが６人くらいしか居ないので１曲踊り終えると必ず進行係の歌やトークをしばらく聞かされます（１５分～２０分着替えの時間稼ぎですね；）。そして謎にその歌に合わせてダンスタイム等があり・・・。外国の方は楽しいと思いますが・・・。とにかくダラダラとショーの間隔が長いうえ、食事も微妙、これで９１ドルは本当にもったいないです。ちなみに限界が来て私たちは途中で退室しました。二度と行きませんね。

We loved this luau! Our tour guide, Cousin Rich, was HILARIOUS and memorized everyone's name on the bus!! He took great care of us, and even sang us a lullaby on the way home...he's got one heck of a voice!

The games before the luau started were short & fun, and the hula dancers were great!! This was the first activity on our Honeymoon, and we were not disappointed. The emcee even mentioned our names during the show and had us get up to dance near the stage to the Hawaiian wedding song...it was an amazing experience. The food was good, the show was excellent, and the location was like a postcard! Singers, hula dancers, and fire twirlers were all part of the evening, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend this luau!!

It was definitely a luau experience I wanted to try at least once. In the reviews, someone mentioned, "The guide for the shuttle bus was a wonderful DJ, so we had a great time on the bus." They must be fluent in English. We were completely lost; even my grandchild, who has a pre-2nd grade English proficiency, said they couldn't catch much due to the accent. The welcome drink, Mai Tai, was just a weak flavor after the ice melted. The food was just as described in the reviews. However, the performances by the dancers were truly amazing; just thinking about it makes my heart warm. There were many disappointments, but I still recommend experiencing it at least once.

口コミに「 送迎バスの案内係りの方が素晴らしいDJで盛り上げるので、バスの車中も楽しく過ごせました」　　英語の堪能な方なのでしょうね。　私たちはチンプンカンプン　英検準２級の孫も　なまりのせいなのかよく聞き取れなかったと言っておりました。　ウエルカムドリンクのマイタイは氷がいいだけ解けた後のうっすーいお味、お料理はどの口コミにも書かれている通りのお・あ・じ。　でも、ダンサーの方達のパフォーマンスはさすがに素晴らしかったと、思い出すだけで胸のあたりが熱くなります。残念な事は多々ありますが、やはり一度は体験をお薦めします。

We had a great experience on this dinner cruise. The entertainment was outstanding and the firework show was just the icing on top. The waitress and staff went beyond expectations to make sure we were having a great time. The food was good but I wish they would give an option for the lobster. I do not care for lobster and therefore did not eat it. I just wish the steak would have been a larger portion since we did not eat the lobster. Other than that, excellent time!

We decided to go see authentic dance at the request of my wife's father. He was very excited about the Tahitian dance and was thrilled, saying, "That hip-shaking dance was great!" He was so into it that he plans to buy a video of Tahitian dance as soon as we return home. I was able to do a good deed for my father-in-law, who experienced his first trip abroad. Thank you very much.

I attended my mother's 77th birthday celebration with my sister and brother. 母の喜寿祝いに妹と3人で参加しました。

To get to the Bishop Museum, I took The Bus number 2 from the bus stop at Sheraton Waikiki, which is a 3-minute walk from the hotel, departing at 08:03. After about 45 minutes, I got off at School St. and entered the museum around 09:00.

I had no worries since I confirmed all this information with the hotel staff and the bus driver before departing.

Upon arrival, I received an explanation of the museum from a Japanese staff member named Aya, who loves and has studied Hawaiian culture. After that, I took a beginner hula lesson for about an hour. The instructor, Noelani Chang, was visiting from Japan, and the lesson was conducted by her niece.

The song we learned was "Halema,uma,u." My mother is an intermediate hula dancer with over three years of experience in Japan, but my sister and I were first-timers. However, wearing matching colored pāu skirts, we followed the instructor's movements and managed to learn four parts within an hour. Although we made some mistakes here and there, we were able to dance through the entire song.

At the end, we took a commemorative group photo, and afterward, we enjoyed making leis using plumeria flowers and long green leaves (I forgot the name) that had been thawed and softened, which we took home as souvenirs.

It was a very fulfilling tour, and everyone was extremely satisfied. On the way back, one person got off to visit Foster Botanical Garden, Izumo Taisha, and Chinatown, and we returned to Waikiki via the HIS free trolley from King's Village.

　母は日本でのフラ経験3年以上の中級者ですが、妹と私は初体験でした。でも、色違いのパウスカートを身に着けて、講師のするとおりに踊り、1時間で何とか４つのパートを覚え、ところどころ間違いながらも、通して1曲踊れるまでになりました。
　最後に皆で記念撮影、その後は、プルメリアの花と解凍して柔らかくした緑色の長い葉っぱ（名前は忘れました）を使ったレイ作りを楽しみ、お土産に持ち帰りました。
　とても充実したツアーとなり、皆大満足でした。
　帰りのバスでは、一人途中下車して、フォスター植物園、出雲大社、チャイナタウンを歩いて回り、キングスビレッジからＨＩＳの無料トロリーでワイキキまで戻って来ました。

We participated as a group of 15. Although there were some concerns since it wasn't widely introduced by Japanese travel agencies, all participants were very satisfied.
