Since nature is the main factor, I didn't have overly high expectations, but I was able to see many whales and dolphins. I think I was just lucky. The price was also reasonable, and I was very satisfied. Additionally, I had no issues with seasickness, which was my biggest concern.

We loved the sights. The Waimea Canyon was stunning as was the fern grotto. What was wrong with this tour was the more than 6 hours travelling in the bus to see two sights which took less than 20 minutes each to see. Great tour if you enjoy seeing the hawaiian country side from a bus.

I participated in a whale watching cruise for the first time in Hawaii.
I saw them!! Whales!!
I saw them multiple times. It was amazing.

And I also saw dolphins.
The dolphins jumped close to the boat.
Even though it was a whale watching tour, I was really lucky to see dolphins too.

As expected, in February in Hawaii, you can see both whales and dolphins. I was lucky.

I heard there are days when you can't see them.

You don't even need to go to the upper deck; the second floor was enough to see well.
On the contrary, you can see the dolphins much closer from the second floor.
The upper deck was packed with people!!

I hope everyone who participates gets to see them too!

This was my first time participating, and I was able to see a lot from a distance! I booked the option without meals, and I think that was a good choice.

About 20 minutes after departure, we started to see whales, so those who were at the buffet couldn't concentrate on their meals anymore. If you choose the meal option, I think it's better to finish eating early as the ship departs.

I was able to see more than I expected, and I was very satisfied!

My husband and I participated the day after our arrival in Maui, but due to bad weather, we couldn't see the stars at the summit because it was foggy. We returned and rescheduled for two days later to try again.

I heard that the only way to do a comeback with just the cost of lunch and the national park entrance fee (a total of $15) is through Maui All Stars.

Two days later, the weather improved, and we were able to see a sea of clouds, a beautiful sunset with the green flash, the shadow of the Earth, and a bright moon close to full moon, along with a moonbow that can only be seen when there is no water vapor in the distance.

Our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, mentioned that since the full moon was approaching, the stars were not as visible as usual, but we were still able to see many stars, including those not visible in Japan, the profile of Mickey on the moon, and the stripes of Jupiter.

While listening to explanations under the stars, they provided chairs, large blankets, and warm tea, allowing us to lean back and slowly gaze at the stars. Standing and looking up can be tiring on the neck, but sitting in a chair is very comfortable.

This is also a thoughtful gesture from Mr. Yamauchi based on his experience. He set up the telescopes and arranged chairs for the participants without even having lunch himself. It's no surprise that many people have commented on Mr. Yamauchi's character in their experiences.

Since I don't often have the opportunity to see stars, I had a very valuable experience thanks to Mr. Yamauchi. Next time, I would like to participate when it is as far from the full moon as possible.

主人と二人でマウイ到着翌日に参加しましたが、悪天候のため頂上まで行っても霧がかかっていて星は見られる状態ではなく帰ってきて、スケジュールを空けていた２日後にリベンジしました。

お弁当と国立公園の入園料（計＄１５）のみでリベンジできるのは、マウイオールスターズだけだと聞いています。

２日後は天候も回復して、雲海、美しいサンセットと共にグリーンフラッシュ、地球の影、そして満月近くの明るい月と遠くに水蒸気が発生していないと見えないムーンボウまで見ることができました。

ガイドの山内さんは満月が近いから星がいつもよりは見えていないとおっしゃいますが、星もたくさん見ることができ、日本では見えない星、月面の横顔ミッキー、木星の縞模様も見られました。

たくさんの星を見ながら説明を聞く時は、イスと大きいブランケット、温かいお茶を用意して下さるので、背もたれに頭を預けて上を向いてゆっくり星が見られます。
立って上を見ていると首が疲れますが、イスに座るととても楽チンです。

これも山内さんのご経験からの心遣いです。
お弁当も食べずに参加者のためにイスを出して望遠鏡などをセットしていらっしゃいました。
体験談で山内さんのお人柄にふれている方が多いのも納得です。


普段なかなか星を見る機会がないので、山内さんのお陰でとても貴重な体験ができました。
次回はなるべく満月から遠い時に参加したいと思います。

I participated on February 11. The weather was cloudy, there were strong winds at sea, and the air conditioning indoors made it quite cold. However, considering the low budget and that breakfast was included, I was satisfied. I was able to see whales multiple times, which was great. It took about 3 hours and 30 minutes from leaving the hotel to returning, so the schedule was easy to manage.

The movie location tour was very interesting. Not only did we see Jurassic Park, but we also got to see sets from Godzilla and Journey to the Center of the Earth 2. At the site of the large tree used in Jurassic Park, we could get off the bus and take photos. It was fun to drive around the vast Kualoa Ranch by bus. From what I could see from the bus, horseback riding just looked like sitting on a horse and walking, so it didn't seem very exciting. Riding in the jeep on the bumpy road was quite thrilling.

We participated as a family. The sunset at Haleakalā was amazing!!!! The starry sky was great too!!! We saw a lot of shooting stars. Since it is at a lower elevation than Mauna Kea on the Big Island, it was easier physically. I think it's good for elderly people and small children. I want to go again.

while I enjoyed the trip, we were unable to go out to the memorial by boat because of the wind. That was the main reason for the tour, so I feel that my once in a lifetime vacation was incomplete.

It was a whale watching experience blessed by good weather, but I only saw a baby whale spouting in the distance at first, and after that, I couldn't see anything else. Well, it's a living creature, so there's nothing we can do about it.

However, the staff with the Japanese guide were wonderful, and it’s not often you get to enjoy the view of the horizon from the boat, as well as Waikiki and Diamond Head, so I had a great time!

Since it's a trip abroad, it might also be nice to hear local recommendations from the Japanese guide.

天候にも恵まれたホエールウォッチングでしたが、
最初に子どもクジラの潮吹きが遠くに見えたっきり、それ以降は見る事ができませんでした。まぁ、生き物なので仕方ないですね。

しかしながら、日本語ガイドのスタッフの対応も素晴らしく、また船上から水平線を眺めたり、ワイキキ＆ダイヤモンドヘッドを眺める事が出来る機械はなかなかないので、十分楽しめました！

せっかくの海外ですので、日本語ガイドから現地のおすすめ情報を聞いたりするのも良いかもしれませんよ。

Ed ("just plain Ed") did a great job narrating our tour around the island.. It was nice to get away from busy Waikiki and see the island. It is a beautiful island and I would recommend this tour as a great overview of Oahu.

I might have had too high expectations. I was able to see the whale several times, but it was quite far away, which made it feel a bit lacking in impact.

I participated in the morning tour on January 3rd. Unfortunately, I didn't see any whales at all. The breakfast included eggs, sausages, and bread, and it was quite substantial for the price.

During the New Year period, the weather in Honolulu was consistently bad with rain coming and going, but thanks to that, I was able to see a big rainbow from the boat.

I have been on the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise several times, and during those times, it makes a U-turn just before Diamond Head. However, this tour goes even further. It was interesting to view Oahu from the sea, as well as the backside of Diamond Head.

But I really wanted to see whales...

残念ながらクジラは全く見ることが出来ませんでした。
朝食は卵やソーセージ、パンなどがあり、お値段の割にはしっかりと取れました。

お正月の期間ホノルルはずっと天候が悪く雨が降ったり止んだりでしたが、お蔭で船から大きな虹を見ることが出来ました。

スターオブホノルルのディナークルーズに何度か乗ったことがありますが、その際はダイヤモンドヘッドの手前あたりでＵターンします。
ですが、こちらのツアーさらにその先まで行きます。
海からオアフ島を、またダイヤモンドヘッドの裏側まで眺める事ができたのは面白かったです。

でもクジラを見たかった…
