The weather was clear on the day of the trip, and I was a bit worried about whether we would be able to see whales, but there was no need for concern as we were able to see whales multiple times!

Onboard, we enjoyed cake for our meal, along with drinks like coffee and tea, making for a thoroughly satisfying two hours.

Not only did we see whales that day, but we also spotted dolphins, and we were able to enjoy the view of Waikiki from the sea, making it a valuable experience that went beyond just whale watching.

The energetic staff shared their knowledge about whales after we set sail and provided many interesting facts during the whale watching, which deepened my understanding of these magnificent creatures.

I definitely want to participate again the next time I visit Honolulu!

当日は快晴で、鯨もちゃんと見られるか少し心配していましたが、心配の必要が無かったくらいに何回もクジラを見ることができました！
船内ではケーキの食事や、コーヒーやお茶などの飲み物も飲むことができて、2時間たっぷりと満足することができました。
当日はクジラだけでなく、イルカも見ることができましたし、海からのワイキキの景色も堪能することができ、ホエールウォッチングにとどまらない貴重な体験をすることができました。
元気なスタッフさんたちが出航してからクジラについての知識や、ホエールウォッチング中もたくさんのクジラに対する豆知識を教えてくださり、とてもクジラに対する造詣を深めることができました。

The ship provided light snacks (coffee, tea, pineapple cake). The pineapple cake was delicious. The actual sailing time was about 2 hours. On this day, we were able to see two humpback whales. The whales came to the surface and spouted water at intervals of about 10 to 15 minutes, so I enjoyed chatting with the foreign people next to me (although I only understood about one-third of the conversation).

I didn't feel much movement while the ship was moving, but when the ship was stopped during whale watching, there was some rocking, so I think those who are prone to seasickness might need motion sickness medication. When the ship returned to the port, there were a few people on board celebrating their birthdays, and everyone sang "Happy Birthday," which felt very international and was really nice.

I was looking for a tour to stop by the Nu'uanu Pali Lookout since I didn't rent a car. Our guide Marlon provided a wealth of information about Hawaii, and we were able to efficiently visit various sightseeing spots across Oahu, which made me very satisfied. Since it was an English-only tour, there were no other Japanese participants, and I felt a bit anxious as it was my first time in Hawaii. However, Marlon spoke English that was easy for Japanese speakers to understand and was fluent in Japanese as well, so having Marlon as a guide is the best for Japanese visitors! The malasadas were delicious, and both the bus and restroom were clean, and the driving was excellent.

We were able to participate with our small child, and it was a fun boat experience without any significant rocking of the boat. The interior of the boat was clean and spacious, providing a calm atmosphere along with light snacks and drinks.

At first, we had a brief explanation about whales on the first floor and enjoyed some snacks, after which we were free to move up to the fourth floor to look for whales and enjoy the view from the boat.

Although we weren't able to see any whales this time, we received a ticket to board again during this season. The crew members were all very kind, making for a delightful boat trip.

It was my first time in Hawaii, and I’m really glad I chose this place for dinner on Friday. The cruise lasted from just after 5 PM to just after 8 PM, and I opted for the three-course meal. The lobster in the course was, of course, delicious, and there was live music and a show throughout the cruise, making it lively and never boring.

Additionally, from the ship, I could see the sunset over Diamond Head, and after the sun went down, the night views of Honolulu and Waikiki were spectacular. Especially on Fridays, fireworks are launched from Waikiki Beach, offering an exceptional night view.

I could tell there were whales, but I couldn't see them very well. The staff provided warm hospitality, making my experience enjoyable. The banana cake for a light snack had a homemade feel and was delicious. You can choose between tea and coffee.

This was my first time on board. I was planning to use a taxi for the round trip, but considering the time and location for the return, I became anxious and decided to book a shuttle service on the same day. I highly recommend it for efficiency! I made the reservation by phone, and they have Japanese-speaking support.

It seems that the meals vary depending on the deck. Once on board, there was singing, dining, and we ended with a fantastic fireworks display.

The welcome drink and the beer I ordered felt a bit slow to arrive. There might be an imbalance between the number of customers and the staff or facilities.

I ended up feeling seasick partway through and could only eat a little (which was disappointing), but it became a great memory!

I was able to observe the sunset and the starry sky from the summit of Haleakalā. The guide provided a wonderful pair of binoculars and a telescope, and we observed the stars while receiving explanations. I saw more stars than I have ever seen before, and I was able to see Saturn beautifully through the telescope, which was very moving. I highly recommend this tour!

We participated as a couple on our honeymoon.

Thanks to the favorable weather, the boat didn't sway, and we were able to enjoy the beautiful sea, as well as views of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the water.

As for the whales, we were able to see them several times during the trip. However, they were all quite far away, and we could only see a spout, a black back, and a bit of the tail fin. While I think it was great just to see them, I can't help but wish we could have seen them a little closer.

Yesterday, at the beginning of February, I went on an electric bike tour at Kualoa Ranch. It was the best experience. However...

1. Don't be mistaken thinking it's a small tour. They pick you up with two large buses from hotels in Honolulu. I think many people participate because there are various activities. Even though I waited quite early in the lobby at the pickup location, the guide didn't come. It seemed I had to go to the bus myself. After some time, the bus driver came, possibly having kept other guests waiting. Also, it's important to note that you need an English ID with a photo. Without a passport, you might face strict cancellation. A Japanese driver's license won't work. Since I didn't have one, I somehow managed to get on the bus with just my name and credit card. Although it feels uncomfortable to carry a passport, it seems to be the best option.

2. Even if it's sunny in Honolulu, it started to rain quite heavily in the northern Kualoa Ranch. I think the moist sea breeze from the north hits the mountains, making it prone to rain. It was fine at first, but then it turned into a downpour. If I had known, I would have brought rain gear... I got completely soaked and cold, and ended up buying a T-shirt and shorts on the way back. The mud splattered, making my shoes and clothes dirty. When I returned to the hotel, I washed what I was wearing. It's better not to wear nice shirts. Even if it's sunny in Honolulu, make sure to bring a change of clothes.

3. Most people are probably not used to electric bikes. You pedal, and while it's easy on hills with turbo mode, going downhill can be too fast if you don't change the setting. The tires are thick, but there are many gravel paths, making it difficult to ride. In fact, someone fell while going downhill. They were covered in blood, but the real injury was a significant wound on their palm. They probably went down in turbo mode and got too fast. It looked like they might need stitches at the hospital. They had to retire midway, and we all ended up waiting in the rain for a pickup. Cautious driving to avoid going too fast is necessary! Such a wonderful trip...

4. The magnificent scenery will become an unforgettable memory. Many movies have been filmed here. The staff is also very friendly, and I highly recommend it.

However, don't underestimate it thinking it's just a beginner's bike tour...

１．小規模のツアーと思ったら大間違い
大きなバス2台で、ホノルルのホテルを回って連れて行ってくれます。
様々なアクティビティがあるから、たくさんの人が参加するのだと思う。
ずいぶん早くピックアップ場所のロビーで待っていても、ガイドは来てくれませんでした。
バスのところに行かなければならなかったようです。時間がたってから、たまりかねてバスの運転手がやってきて、他のお客さんを待たせたかも。
また、大事なのは、顔写真が映った英語のIDが必要です。
パスポートがないと厳しくキャンセルになるかも。
日本の免許証ではだめ。
持ってなかったので、名前とクレジットカードで何とかバスに乗れた。
パスポートを持っていくのは、気が引けるけど、それが一番らしい。

２．ホノルルが晴れていても、北のクアロア・ランチは、途中からかなり強い雨が降りだした。
湿った北からの海風が山にぶつかってお雨が降りやすいのだと思う。
最初はよかったけれど、途中から土砂降り。わかっていれば、雨具を持っていくけど・・・
ずぶ濡れになって、寒く、帰りにTシャツと半ズボンを購入した。
泥が跳ねて、靴も服も汚れる。ホテルに帰って、来ていたものを洗った。
いいシャツは着ていかないほうがいい。ホノルルが晴れていても、着替えを持っていくこと。

３、電動自転車は、おそらく大部分の人は慣れていない。こぐのだけど、坂道はターボで楽ちんだけど、下りは、設定を変えないとスピードが出すぎる。太いタイヤだけど、砂利道が多く、運転しにくい。
実際、下りで転倒した人がいた。血だらけになっていたが、実際は手掌に結構な傷ができていた。おそらく、ターボのままで下って、スピードが出すぎたのだと思う。病院での縫合が必要そうな傷だった。
途中でリタイヤとなり、迎えの車が必要で、皆雨の中、待機することになった。
スピードを出しすぎない慎重な運転が必要！
せっかくの旅行が・・・

４、雄大な景観は、忘れがたい思い出になります。
たくさんの映画の舞台になっています。
スタッフもとてもフレンドリーで、お勧めです。

ただし、初心者コースの自転車ツアーと思って甘く見ないこと・・・・

I have to say I really enjoyed the Chief's Luau! After I got past the fact that it was situated in a water park, and got to the actual venue, I was able to forget there was anything there but the Luau! The grounds and setting were lovely, and I had a beautiful view of the show. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the entertainment some of the best I've seen at a luau, and I've been to several. For authentic entertainment and a good experience, this one was great!!
