Due to the season, we couldn't see the Milky Way, which looked like clouds, but I was very happy to see the Southern Cross. The guide was also very eloquent and provided various explanations.

時期的に雲のような天の川は見られませんでしたが、南十字星が見られたことは非常に嬉しかった。
ガイドさんも雄弁で、色々説明していただけました。

It was our first time going to Hawaii as a couple. It was also our first time climbing Mauna Kea. We joined a tour that offered a wonderful sunset and stargazing experience, along with detailed explanations, delicious sandwiches, and warm cocoa. Being able to share this experience together created the best memories for us. We completely forgot about our daily lives and enjoyed every moment. We are truly grateful. Thank you very much.

マウナケアに登るのも当然初めて。
ツアーに参加して、素敵な夕日と星空の観測丁寧な説明、おいしいサンドイッチ、温かいココア、2人で来れたこと最高の思い出になりました。日常の日々を全部忘れて満喫できました。感謝しかないです。ありがとうございます。

It was supposed to be a straight-forward excursion... pick us up, drop us off, pick us up again. However, our driver (unfortunately, I did not get his name) was such a hoot!!! At 5am, he had an energy and attitude that made everyone in the bus a little bit happier The pickup was quick and efficient. The driver made every stop an occasion.

After checking in at the local office, we selected our rain gear (top and bottom) and helmets, and then we all departed by bus. The gentleman in charge of the local reception was incredibly busy, handling everything from check-in to driving the bus all by himself. It took about an hour and a half to reach the summit, where we waited for the sunrise. Watching the sun rise majestically from below the sea of clouds was both awe-inspiring and mystical. However, it was extremely cold for about 30 minutes during this time, and even with thermal underwear and a down jacket, I was freezing. After the sun came up, we took the bus down a bit further, and finally it was time for downhill cycling! We divided into teams for introductions, and just as we were about to start, it suddenly began to rain. We ended up soaking wet during the downhill ride, but it was a lot of fun descending the mountain. The scenery was completely white, so I would love to have a chance to do it again.

現地事務所で受付後、雨具（上下）やヘルメットのサイズを合わせて選んで、皆でバスで出発。現地の受付担当のおじさまが、なんとワンオペで、受付からバスの運転まで忙しくこなされていました。１時間半ほどで山頂に着き、日の出を待つのですが、だんだんと雲海の下から太陽が昇ってくる姿は荘厳で神秘的でした。ただ、この間約30分は超寒く、極暖アンダーウエア＋ダウンジャケットでも凍えました。日が上がってから、少し下までバスで下って、いよいよダウンヒルサイクリング！チームに分かれて自己紹介し、いよいよスタートというところで、急に雨が降ってきました。ずぶぬれのダウンヒルとなりましたが、とても楽しく山を下ることができましたが、景色は真っ白でしたので、機会があればリベンジしたいです。

Most of the tour was a long bus ride. The scenery was quite lovely, but we didn’t stop very much. The lighthouse was so far away that it was not easy to get a truly good photo. The movie site portion was showing us videos on the bus but hardly seeing the actual sights. Saw Princeville from the bus. Chocolate factory was, in my opinion, a waste of time. Hanalei was a cute town, but once lunch was done, it was just another shopping center.
Sorry.

This was one of the most memorable tours during my trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. The view of Mauna Kea bathed in the sunset was truly magical, and the sunset seen from above the clouds was indescribably beautiful.

The stargazing that followed was also fantastic, with the guide's explanations being very clear, allowing us to learn about the stars and Hawaiian culture in a fun way. There were so many stars visible to the naked eye, it was astonishing.

They provided warm clothing and meals, which made it easy to participate, and the consideration for acclimatizing to the high altitude was thoughtful, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout.

ハワイ島旅行の中でも特に印象に残ったツアーでした。
夕日に染まるマウナケアの景色は本当に幻想的で、雲の上から見るサンセットは言葉にならない美しさでした。

その後の星空観測も素晴らしく、ガイドさんの説明がとても分かりやすく、星やハワイの文化について楽しく学ぶことができました。肉眼でも驚くほどたくさんの星が見えました。

防寒具や食事も用意されていて安心して参加できましたし、高山に慣れるための配慮も丁寧で、終始快適でした。

This time, I participated with my son and his wife because I wanted to show them the breathtaking view from the summit of Mauna Kea. The scenery at the observation site felt like stepping into the universe, and I’m really glad we chose to see the starry sky on a new moon night. I thought it would only be in English, but I was very happy that explanations were also provided in Japanese. Thank you very much.

今回息子夫婦にマウナケア山頂の感動を見せたくて一緒に参加しました。
宇宙の中に降り立ったようなマウナケアに観測地の風景がとても感動的で、新月を選んで見た満点の星空にも参加を決めて良かったです。

I had no problems at all and used the Pink Line comfortably around Waikiki. However, once you go a bit further out, the bus stops can be very hard to find. Without the Lealea mark and with some discrepancies on the map, I felt quite anxious waiting, unsure if I was at the right stop.

ワイキキ周辺やピンクラインも利用出来るので全く問題なく快適に利用しました。
ちょっと郊外に行くとバス停が非常にわかりにくい。
レアレアのマークがないのと地図と若干違いもあり待っていても合っているのか非常に不安でした

Our guide was absolutely great! He was fun to be with. Unfortunately Mother Nature was not very cooperative, as it was very overcast/cloudy. No stargazing at the top or at the lower level was possible. Sunset was also disappointing. We did get to wander around some awesome telescopes. We were told we would each get a rebate on our charge, but that hasn't shown up on our account yet. But, we did have fun w/ our fellow excursionists, and as I stated at the beginning, our guide was great! Back at the bottom, he did take some time to show us some stars and constellations that became visible.

Among the 12 tour participants, we were the only two Japanese. The sunset and moon telescope observation were great. Since we knew from the beginning that it was an English tour, it couldn't be helped, but it would have been nice if important information about altitude acclimatization had been provided in Japanese. It was disappointing not to understand the introduction to the Big Island and the details of the stargazing due to the language barrier. I hope more Japanese participants join in again, and that Japanese tours will resume.

ツアー客12名の中で日本人は私たち2人だけでした。
夕陽と月の望遠鏡観察は良かったです。
始めから英語ツアーと分かっていたので、仕方ないですが、大切な高度適応対応などは日本語で教えてくださいました。
英語が分からず、ハワイ島の紹介や星空観察の詳細が分からないのは残念でした。
日本人がまた増えて、日本語ツアーが再開されるといいですね。

However, today I was guided by Ryota, and I made up for what I missed yesterday 💞
It was incredibly fun!!
As a senior who can't speak English, I was relieved to have the guidance in Japanese, which really boosted my spirits 👍
I'm glad I asked Ryota for help.
The only regret I have is that I forgot to take a picture with the handsome Ryota… 💧

Very fun tour, would recommend!

The summit of Mauna Kea was as cold as I had heard, but the weather was nice and the sunset view was amazing. The stargazing was a bit difficult due to some clouds, but I was really happy to see the Southern Cross. Shota was very kind and helpful. Thank you very much.

マウナケアの山頂は聞いていた通り寒かったですが、天気が良くて夕日が沈む光景は最高でした。星空観察はやや雲が出ていて星が見えづらったですが、南十字星見れてとてもよかったです。ショウタさんがとても親切で助かりました。ありがとうございました。

First of all, the guide was a really nice person. Thank you very much.

At the Dole Plantation, we had a limited time of 90 minutes, but there were activities like riding the train or going through the maze. I took the train, and I was amazed by the vast scenery that I had never seen before. Next time, I want to try the maze, but it seems that if you go to the maze, there isn't much time left to explore the other shops. You absolutely must try the ice cream!

Next, in Haleiwa, I had planned to eat at Giovanni's, but since it was a 10-minute walk from the bus stop, I decided to skip it and eat garlic shrimp at a different place instead, which was incredibly delicious. The garlic shrimp place I ate at was near a shop that sells acai.

At Spaghettini, which is just a short walk from the bus stop, I had the recommended sandwich from the staff. This place is also recommended. You should definitely try the Matsumoto Shave Ice as well.

Finally, the bus driver and guide was a great person who offered to show us other sights on the way back if we had extra time. You could give tips in cash or by scanning a QR code.

ドールプランテーションでは、90分と限られた時間でしたが、列車に乗る、もしくは迷路を行う等がありました
私は列車に乗りましたが、見たことのないくらい広大な景色が広がっていて感動しました。
次回は迷路に行きたいですが、どうやら迷路に行くとあまりその他ショップなどを巡る時間が少ないです
アイスクリームは絶対食べるべき！

そして次に、ハレイワではジョパンニを食べる予定でしたが停留所から歩いて片道10分ということもあり、その他巡るためにそこはやめて違う店のガーリックシュリンプを食べましたが、最高に美味しかったです
私が食べたガーリックシュリンプの店は、アサイーのある店の近くでした

バス停から歩いてすぐのスパゲッティーニでは店員さんオススメのサンドウィッチを食べました
このお店もオススメです
松本シェーバーも食べるべき

最後に、バス運転手兼ガイドの方は時間が余ったら帰り道にその他観光もしてくれる良い人でした
チップは現金で渡すか、QRコードを読み取る方法でした

The weather was perfect, and I encountered a once-in-a-lifetime view. In addition to a sky full of stars with no gaps, it was my first experience seeing stars below my line of sight. I also thoroughly enjoyed the sunset and was very satisfied.

Chris's explanations were very easy to understand, and his speaking style was smooth and pleasant to listen to.

天気に恵まれて、一生に一度レベルの景色に出会えました。
隙間がないくらいの満天の星空に加えて、星が自分の目線より下に見えるという初めての体験。夕日もたっぷり堪能できて大満足でした。

This is my fourth time on the Big Island, but I was finally able to participate in the Mauna Kea summit tour. The guide was a young foreign man who communicated with us using simple Japanese and a translation app, so I didn't feel any inconvenience. The explanations were translated, and I was able to understand everything well.

We spent 40 minutes at the Onizuka Center to acclimate to the altitude before heading to the summit. At each point, the guide helped us take photos and was attentive to our well-being, allowing us to enjoy the tour with peace of mind.

The clear weather provided a sunset sinking into the sea of clouds, and the subsequent stargazing felt like a planetarium; it was the most beautiful starry sky I've ever seen in my life. I saw the Southern Cross, which I rarely get to see, and while I was photographing the night sky, I accidentally captured a shooting star! It was truly the best time I could have asked for.

ハワイ島は4回目ですが、初めてマウナケア山頂ツアーに参加できました。
ガイドの方は若い外国人男性でしたが、片言の日本語や翻訳アプリでコミュニケーションをとってくださり不便は感じませんでした。
案内も翻訳で説明があり よく理解出来ました。
オニヅカセンターで高地に慣れるため40分過ごし山頂に向かいまいたが、ポイント毎にガイドの方は撮影を手伝ってくださったり体調を気遣っていただき安心してツアーを楽しめました。
晴天で雲海に沈むサンセットとその後の星空観測はまるでプラネタリウムのようで、人生で一番キレイな星空でした。
あまり見ることの無い南十字星や、星空を撮影していたら偶然に流れ星？も写っており本当に最高の時間を過ごせました。

It was a long journey of about 11 hours with some traffic, but it was enjoyable.

The guide and driver provided detailed and fun explanations of the scenery visible from the car windows, making for a day that was never boring.

Places like Croatia Crunch and the Polynesian Center, along with the landmarks seen from the car, have given me ideas for where to explore more leisurely next time.

Personally, I had the most fun cracking macadamia nuts and feeding them to the chickens.

By the way, I struggled to understand English quite a bit, but I think it would be even more enjoyable if I could understand more.

渋滞もあり、約11時間の長旅でしたが楽しかったです。

ガイド兼ドライバーさんが、車窓から見える景色も丁寧に楽しく説明をしてくれて飽きることのない一日でした。

クロアチアクランチやポリネシアンセンター、車窓からの名所も次はここをゆっくりまわろうかな？という参考にもなります。

個人的にはマカダミアナッツを自分で割って鶏にあげたのが一番楽しかったです。

ちなみに、私は英語がなかなか聞き取れずでしたが、もっと聞き取りができれば何倍も楽しそうです。

First of all, the guide was wonderful. They provided a wealth of information and taught us a lot. The performance was also great; as we approached Kualoa Ranch, they played the Jurassic Park theme, which brought back the emotions from the movie! The guide had also lived in Japan, so they used a bit of Japanese to assist us.

Although the course was in reverse order, it wasn't a problem at all. We stopped at various farms and souvenir shops, and it was completely fine not to buy anything. We enjoyed walking around the farms and sampling food. We had plenty of time to spare until the meeting time, which made it that much more enjoyable.

As shown in the photos, the tour included many beautiful scenic spots. The view from the bus was stunning, and I stayed awake the entire time to take it all in. The shrimp lunch and malasadas were incredibly delicious, and I was very satisfied.

On the second day in Oahu, I was able to fully enjoy a tour that took us around the island! Thank you so much, guide!

まずガイドさんが素晴らしかったです。
情報が盛り沢山で色々教えて貰えてました。
また演出も上手で、クアロアランチが近づくとジュラシックパークの曲を流してくれ、映画の感動が蘇りました！
日本で生活していた事もある方で、日本語も少し使って案内してくれました。
コースが逆周りでしたが別に問題は無かったです。
色々な農園やお土産屋さんに寄りますが、何も買わなくても全く問題無く、農園を見て周ったり、試食を楽しくさせて貰いました。なので集合時間迄、時間をたっぷり使いました。それ位楽しかったです。
写真に載せましたが、景色の良い所も沢山寄ってくれるツアーでした。
バスからの車窓も美しく、全く寝ないで見ていました。
シュリンプランチもマラサダもすごく美味しくて大満足でした。
オアフ2日目、１周楽しめるツアーでオアフを満喫出来ました！

I was worried because it was cloudy that day, but I was very satisfied to see the stunning sunset. The sandwich was also delicious. I want to go see it again someday.

当日曇りで不安でしたが、迫力満点のサンセットが見れて大満足です。
サンドイッチも美味しかったです。
またいつか見に行きたいです。

I was picked up at a point near the hotel at 6:40 AM and we set off in a nearly full bus. First, we went to the Diamond Head lookout, where the weather and the view were fantastic. From there, we visited several places, enjoying malasadas and garlic shrimp. Our guide, Dirk, was very cheerful and took great care of us. He pretended to be a complete native but spoke Japanese fluently. We also got to see sea turtles and go snorkeling; it was a wonderful tour!

朝6時40分にホテル付近のポイントでピックアップしてもらい、ほぼ満席のバスで出発しました。最初はダイヤモンドヘッドの展望台へ天気も景色も最高でした。そこから数カ所周りマラサダを食べたりガーリックシュリンプを食べたりしました。案内してくれたDirkはとても陽気で良くしてくれました。彼は完全なネイティブのフリをしますが、バキバキに日本語話せます。ウミガメも見れて、シュノーケルも出来とてもいいツアーでした！

The tour was mainly conducted in English, but the guide also explained things in Japanese when needed, which was very helpful for Japanese guests. Although it was primarily in English, the guide also provided some explanations in Japanese.

Beware! Poor communication and NOT a sunrise tour as stated

This was sold as a sunrise at Diamond Head which turns out NOT ACCURATE AT  ALL! Diamond Head doesn’t even open until 6:00 and sunrise was 6:11 that day. By the time the van was parked it was 6:06. So obviously we did not make it to the top or even to a look out point to view the sunrise. We did get some pretty pictures BUT it was not sunrise by far. Even the pick up location was a rough start and poor, poor communication.  The instructions to 5:15 a.m pick up were at Hyatt Regency and the address. That’s it, that’s all the information that was given. So, we show up, we’re waiting and waiting then the driver calls and ask if we’re coming. Jon told him we’re here where we standing and he said no they’re on the side of the building. We go to the side of the building, which turns out to be a side road. Which looks like a shady looking road for deliveries and the van is parked behind the dumpster, picture attached. Now image this side street, van parked behind the dumpster at 5:00 a.m in the dark.
After the hike we returned at 7:31. Now pick up was at 7:30 and we did show up 1 minute late at  7:31 and the van was gone. Again, we’re waiting and looking. After a few minutes Jon calls. Thankfully we had the phone number from when he called us that morning or we would’ve had no clue what to do. Turns out THEY HAD LEFT! The driver tells us to wait there that he will turn around to come get us. When I questioned the driver about leaving us he said “Julie told you to be back at 7:30” to which I explained  we were back at 7:31 and called you at 7:33. He said I was coming back. I questioned again, “how were we to know that? All we knew was that our tour had left us. You could’ve called like you did this morning but instead you just drove off. “ He was never able to give a reason for just driving off or not even calling. He just kept saying, you were told to be back at 7:30.  My advice DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR WITH THIS

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I think I was able to participate in the tour at a relatively affordable price in this expensive Hawaii. Although it was a half-day tour, they included just the right amount of spots, allowing for efficient sightseeing. If I had to say something, I wish I had more time in Haleiwa. Since lunch time was also during the free exploration time, I ended up enjoying lunch and didn't have any time left to explore or go to the beach.

全体的には素晴らしい体験でした。この物価高いハワイでは比較的に手頃の価格でツアー参加できたと思います。また半日ツアーですが、結構スポットをちょうど良く入れているので、効率よく観光できました。強いていえば、ハレイワでもっと時間ほしかったです。ランチ時間も自由散策時間内なので、結局ランチを楽しんだら散策や海辺には全然行けなくなっちゃいました。

I participated in a sunset and stargazing tour this time. It turned out to be a very precious experience. Before going, I was just hoping to see the sunset and the starry sky beautifully, but throughout the tour, I was able to feel the nature of the Big Island of Hawaii, including the scenery along the way to the summit and the sea of clouds.

I thoroughly enjoyed the main events of the sunset and the starry sky. Although there were quite a few clouds during the sunset, it was still sufficiently mystical. The starry sky was so beautiful that I could see shooting stars, which was a first-time experience for me.

Our guide, Chris, provided explanations not only in English but also in Japanese, which made us feel at ease even though we couldn't speak English. I appreciate Chris's thoughtfulness.

If I have friends visiting the Big Island, I would definitely recommend this tour.

今回夕陽と星空観測のツアーに参加しました。とても貴重な時間になりました。
行く前は夕陽と星空、綺麗に見れたらいいなーと思っているくらいでしたが、山頂までの道中の景色や雲海など、ツアーを通してハワイ島の自然を感じることができました。
メインの夕陽と星空も堪能できました。夕陽は少し雲が多かったですが、それでも十分に神秘的でした。星空は流れ星が観れるほど綺麗で、初めての経験でした。

ガイドのクリスさんが英語だけじゃなく、日本語でも解説してくださり、英語ができない私たちでも安心して過ごせました。
クリスさんの気遣いに感謝します。

ハワイ島にくる友人がいたらぜひお勧めしたいです。

It was stated that there would be an English guide, but on the day of the tour, we had a Japanese guide, and I was able to participate in the tour very happily! The guide provided detailed explanations about the stars, which was also educational! I was worried because it was cloudy that day, but when night fell, the sky was filled with stars, and I was truly moved!

英語のガイドと記載されていたのですが、当日は日本語のガイドさんで、とても楽しくツアーに参加することができました！
星の説明を詳しくしてくださり勉強にもなりました！
当日曇っていて心配でしたが、夜になると満天の星で感動しました！

I was able to see a wonderful starry sky. Our guide, James, was a friendly nice guy, and we had a great time. This is a tour that everyone should experience at least once.

We had such a great tour. Our bus driver was outstanding and made the ride fun and informative! Enjoyed learning more about the events in Pearl Harbor, and thoroughly enjoyed touring the Missouri. Highly recommend!

I usually don't venture out of Waikiki, so this time I joined a tour. The guide spoke Japanese, which was reassuring. During the bus ride, they provided commentary in both Japanese and English.

At the Dole Plantation, I got to ride the pineapple train and enjoy pineapple ice cream. The guide showed us how to buy the train tickets. I had expected to see a lot of pineapples while riding the train, but we mostly passed through grassy areas where they weren't very visible. If you looked closely, you could see some pineapple-like plants in the distance. After getting off the train, I realized I could have seen pineapples up close without riding, but I think it's worth taking the ride at least once if you're there.

The pineapple ice cream was large, so we shared it. It was delicious.

We spent about two hours at the North Shore. I thought we might see sea turtles, so I headed towards the ocean, but I didn't find any. After that, we had a meal at a café with an ocean view, and before I knew it, time flew by, and I hurried back to the bus.

While passing a shop near the bus, I was suddenly approached and told I had ten seconds to listen to a sales pitch for cosmetics. The North Shore is vast, and time is limited, so I recommend politely declining if you're not interested in cosmetics.

In Hawaii, it's difficult to travel far without renting a car, so I really enjoyed being able to visit various places on this tour.

いつもワイキキから出ないので、今回はツアーで連れて行ってもらいました。
ガイドさんは日本語がわかる方で安心感がありました。バスの移動中はずっと日本語と英語でガイドしていました。
ドールプランテーションではパイナップルトレインに乗ったり、パイナップルアイスが食べられました。トレインのチケットはガイドさんが買い方を教えてくれます。トレインに乗ってパイナップルがたくさんあるところをまわると思っていましたが、草原のようなところであまり見られませんでした。よーく見ると遠くにパイナップルみたいなものが実ってました。トレインを降りてから、間近でパイナップルを見られたので乗らなくてもよかったかなと思いましたがせっかく行くなら一度は乗ってみてもいいと思います。
パイナップルアイスは大きいのでシェアしました。美味しかったです。
ノースショアでの滞在時間は2時間ほどでした。ウミガメが見られるかと思い海の方に行きましたが、見つかりませんでした。そのあと海の見えるカフェで食事したらあっという間に時間が過ぎてしまい急いでバスにもどりました。
バスの近くのお店を通りかかったときに突然声をかけられ、10秒と言われて話を聞いていたら化粧品の販売でした。ノースショアは広くただでさえ時間がないので、化粧品に興味のない方は早めに断ることをおすすめします。
ハワイではレンタカーなどを借りないと自分で遠くに行くことは難しいので、今回ツアーでいろいろ行けて楽しかったです。
