I once went skydiving (tandem) in Saitama, but I wanted to try it in the skies of Hawaii, so I signed up with a friend.

The process was straightforward: after arriving, we received a brief explanation and then immediately got on a truck to the airfield, where we boarded the plane right away. Once on board, we could enjoy the Hawaiian scenery from the airplane.

After reaching the altitude, everyone jumps out one after another, so it happens quickly.

Jumping out of the plane is a mix of fear and excitement, but after you jump, it’s over in an instant. It’s a short experience, but it feels amazing. Once the parachute opens, you can enjoy the wonderful views of Hawaii, and I think it lasts about 15 to 20 minutes, but it was a very fun experience.

While there’s not much to do afterward, I felt surprisingly fatigued, possibly due to the tension, so it might be safer to plan lighter activities for the afternoon of the same day.

　飛行機から落ちるときは怖いのと楽しみなの半分ですが、降りたあとはあっという間で短いですが、すごく気持ちいい経験ができます。パラシュートが開いた後はハワイのすばらしい景色も楽しめますし、時間にして15分とか20分ぐらいだと思いますが、とても楽しい経験でした。

　何をするというわけではないですが、緊張もあったのか意外と疲労感が強いので、同じ日の午後は軽いアクティビティにしておいたほうが無難かもしれません。

Skydiving was very exciting! The person who jumped with me was kind and reassured me, which made me feel at ease. However, after skydiving, the pickup car was too late, and I had to wait for about two hours, which was a downside and felt like a waste of time.

I participated in skydiving for the first time in my life, feeling a mix of curiosity and fear.

We departed from the meeting point around 7 AM and arrived at the diving location in about an hour. During the journey, we had to sign the waiver multiple times (essentially stating that we wouldn't sue if something happened).

Upon arriving at the office, we watched a 10-minute video that outlined the rules for skydiving (again, it included content about not suing). There was also an explanation of the entire process leading up to the actual dive.

After the video, we waited for a while, then put on our harnesses and received some direct instructions from the instructor who would be diving with us (covering the process from the dive to landing).

Once it was time to dive, the fear disappeared, and I felt a rush of excitement.

If you have even a slight interest, I highly recommend going for a dive.

I requested video recording, and although I thought the price was high for the highlights from my pre-dive enthusiasm to my post-dive impressions, it was a great keepsake, so I’m glad I bought it.

恐怖感もなくなり、一気にはじけた感じでした。

ちょっとでも興味があれば是非ダイブした方が良いです。

自分は、ビデオ撮影をお願いしましたが
ダイブ前の意気込みからダイブ後の感想までのダイジェストで
金額は高いと思いましたが、記念になるので買ってよかったです。

I planned this trip to Hawaii specifically for skydiving. However, the journey to the North was filled with rain, and I was starting to lose hope. But when we arrived, the weather cleared up beautifully! ❤️

The dive was from way above the clouds, and since I couldn't see the ground and the process moved along like a conveyor belt, I didn't have any time to hesitate, so I didn't feel scared at all. The views of the clouds, sky, and ocean were so beautiful that I almost cried. Plus, thanks to the rain beforehand, we were able to see a rainbow from the sky!!! A perfectly round rainbow ❤️ It felt like I was being sucked into it. I was truly moved ❤️ I'm so glad I went skydiving!

However, the explanation and waiting time after we arrived were quite long. Since our pickup time was early and we hadn't had breakfast, we were really hungry. I recommend either eating beforehand or bringing snacks, as well as something to pass the time, like magazines.

It does take some time, but it was an amazing experience. Hawaii from the sky is the best! ❤️

それなのにノースまでの道のりはずーっと雨が降っていて・・・半分諦め気味だったのですが、着いたら見事に晴れてくれました♡
ダイブは雲のはるか上からで地上が見えないのと、流れ作業のように進むのでためらう時間が全くないのとで怖さを全く感じることなく飛べました。
雲も空も海もすべての景色が綺麗すぎて涙がでそうになりました。しかも、雨のあとだったおかげで空から虹も見ることが出来たんです！！！

ただただ着いてからの説明と待ち時間がまぁ長い・・。

時間はとられるけど、めっちゃいい体験でした。

My husband and I went on the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour of Kauai. The outift was recommended to me by my boss, who had done it 20 years ago. The flight was amazing! You may think that you can see the island from a plane, but it is not the same. The center of Kauai has no roads, so this is the only way to see the area. The views of Waimea canyon and the Napali coast were awesome. My husband had never been on a helicopter tour before and was a little nervous. He was given the front seat by the door and I sat between him and the pilot. The seating is decided by weight. Well, my husband and I loved it. Everyone aboard did. The pilot (Jason) was great. He was funny and informative. I would highly recommend blue hawaiian helicopter tours.

My husband wanted to go skydiving, so we decided to do it together! I had heard there would be a lot of waiting time, so I thought it would be nice to join him for the experience. It was really scary, but I'm glad I went skydiving!

When I returned to Japan and talked about skydiving, it became a great story to share! Sometimes, the excitement would come rushing back as I was talking about it! The cost might be higher compared to other activities, but it was worth the experience!

As for the waiting time I mentioned earlier, it wasn't as bothersome as I thought! I requested a 9 AM start, and we got back to the hotel around 2 PM! After that, we went shopping again.

I had heard that tipping the instructor who jumps with you is necessary, and if you want photos or videos, you'll need to tip the instructor who takes those as well. Also, the driver who picks you up and drops you off should be tipped too! It's just a difference in customs, so it can't be helped.

When you get there, they sell some drinks, but I thought it would be good to bring a little food and drink with you! Overall, I was very satisfied!

Booked this as a wedding gift my my daughter and new son-in-law. They had a wonderful time (original date cancelled due to rain), however re-booked for a different day without difficulty. Their only complaint was a language barrier. It was very difficult to understand the pilot-very strong accent.

Compared to what you would do in Japan, it is still relatively inexpensive, but it is quite pricey... When I requested photos, it cost an additional $120 (photos and DVD can be ordered on-site). Since it's a memory, I decided to purchase them and was very satisfied with the content, but it is a bit expensive. Additionally, I paid a $20 tip separately. After having your photos taken, you should also tip the person who took them the same amount. There is a tip box at the reception, so even those who are not used to tipping, like Japanese people, can easily give tips. (It seems that you also need to tip the bus driver who takes you to the location, so please give that separately.) Also, regular travel insurance does not cover accidents or injuries while skydiving. There is no insurance available on-site, so if you want to be covered, you need to arrange it in Japan beforehand. When I considered getting insurance, the premium was nearly 30,000 yen. Most of the foreign instructors are friendly, and there are no complaints at that level.

However, the Japanese staff member, Mr. Nakai, seems to be the type who is not suited for customer service. His remarks are quite overbearing, and he shows no consideration for Japanese people experiencing this for the first time.

By the way, tips are advised to be given to the shuttle driver and the tandem instructor, and if you request photos ($120) or videos ($160), Mr. Nakai instructs that you should pay 15% to 20% for up to three staff members.

The entrance fee may seem cheap, but be careful as the total can add up to a significant amount.

In addition to Pacific Skydiving Center, there is another skydiving shop next door, so it might be worth checking that out as well.

this is the only way to see Hawaii! The view was amazing, fairly organized...video/photo's a tad bit pricey and there are weight overage charges...those weren't extreme, but some how I missed that....but still, friggin amazing!

I thought I wouldn't be able to fly due to fear, but since it's a streamlined process, you definitely can! There is a sequence, so you might have to wait a bit before and after flying, but after you jump, everyone is filled with adrenaline and super hyped! I was picked up at the hotel at 7:05 and arrived at the hotel at 12:00. They provide transportation in order of completion, and I was lucky to be one of the earlier ones.

The foreign instructors were very skilled, which was reassuring. They were bright and had great responses. The overall explanation was given by a Japanese person. The minimum tip for the instructor is $20. If you request video or photo shooting, the minimum for the cameraman is also $20. For the transportation staff, they mentioned something like the round-trip fare... I thought it was a bit expensive since the sense of tipping is different from Japan, but I guess that's how it is. Well, I think it depends on how you phrase it. They said, "Tipping is a given!" so... I experienced a different culture. Haha. Since you're entrusting your life to them, I don't mind being generous with the tip.

全体的な説明は日本人の方がしてくれました。チップはインストラクターへは最低２０ドル。ビデオや写真撮影を頼んだらカメラマンには最低２０ドル。送迎スタッフへは往復分の交通費分くらいは…と説明されました。やはり、日本と感覚が違うのでちょっと高いなと思いましたがそんなものなのですね。まぁ、言い方もあると思いますが。「チップは当然！」という言い方でしたので…。異文化を体験できました。笑　それに命を預けているので、チップは奮発しても惜しくないです。

The application date was canceled due to changes in the weather, but the following day the weather was excellent and it felt amazing. It's understandable since it's about an hour from Waikiki, but the waiting time after the activity was a bit too long, which is a minor drawback.

With the help of my AWESOME trainer (Jo) and camer guy (Eric) everything went smooth and I highly recommend those guys for the ultimate experience of a first timer! I hoped to be a Japanese pilot, but I ended up participating in an English tour without any mention of that. The scenery was wonderful, and I was moved, but since I was seated next to the pilot (the computer assigns seats based on weight), I kept seeing the pilot yawn, which made me nervous. When I asked, "Are you sleepy?" he replied, "No!" so I took his word for it. The first hour was over Kilauea, and the second hour was over Waipi'o Valley. There was a stop at Hilo Airport for a break. Anyway, I'm glad we arrived safely.

You can purchase a DVD featuring the scenery from the helicopter you boarded, but the picture quality (color reproduction) was poor, and the recorded date was completely wrong, which was very frustrating. It's disappointing, especially since the actual scenery was beautiful.

The pilot was very knowledgeable of the area and specifics around the volcanic activities as of late. All 4 of us fully enjoyed the flight! We got some great close-ups of the volcano and the remnants of the village that once was there. We didn't see as many waterfalls as I thought we would but it didn't take away from the trip. I would recomend this to any friend or family member.

I experienced skydiving for the first time in Hawaii.

Before jumping, I was really scared and wondered if I would be okay, but once I jumped, it was amazing!

The instructor made me laugh with a little bit of Japanese, which helped me relax.

It went by in a flash. I highly recommend it as it will be a fantastic memory!

It was so much fun, but the waiting times before and after were really long!!

They mentioned it was due to the airplane, but after a brief explanation, we waited about three hours before finally skydiving!

Even after it was over, we waited nearly two hours, which brought my mood down a bit.

Repeat visitors said they had never waited this long, but for those going during high season, I think it would be good to bring a book or something to pass the time.

Also, this only happened to me, but the instructor failed to land properly, and I injured my arm. It was a minor injury, but I think wearing long sleeves and long pants would be safer.

すっごく楽しかったけど、とにかく前後の待ち時間が長いです！！

飛行機の関係とか言ってましたけど、着いてから簡単な説明を聞いてから3時間くらい待たされやっとスカイダイビング！

終わったあとも2時間近く待たされちょっとテンション下がります。

リピーターの方はこんなに待たされたことはないとは言ってましたが、ハイシーズンに行く方はなにか本とか時間つぶせるものを持っていくといいかと思います。

あと、私の時だけでしたがインストラクターが着地に失敗して、私は腕を怪我しました。
軽傷でしたが、長袖・長ズボンの方が安心かと思います。

I participated at my boyfriend's request. As someone with a fear of heights, I reluctantly agreed to join.

After participating, I honestly felt that it wasn't as scary as I expected. The diver who jumped with us mentioned that he jumps about ten times a day, which made me think that the chances of dying from this are almost none.

According to my boyfriend, the actual time spent in freefall is about five minutes. The freefall lasts for about one to two minutes before the parachute opens, and then you glide for about three minutes. During the freefall, I was so focused on breathing and looking at the camera (since I had ordered photos and a DVD) that I was a bit frantic. Once the parachute opened, the view was incredibly beautiful, and I was moved by it. It felt like I was watching a scene from a TV show. After landing, I was really tired (laughs), but my boyfriend said it was so much fun that he wanted to jump again.

Considering the prices for photos and DVDs in Japan and other countries, I think it’s worth ordering them since they are quite cheap. We’ve been enjoying watching them together since returning home. Also, it gets quite cold up there, so I recommend wearing long sleeves.

　参加してからの感想としては、正直、思ったよりは怖くないなぁといったところでしょうか。一緒に飛んでくれるダイバーさんは一日に10回程飛ぶと話していたのでこれで死ぬことはまずないだな、と思いました。
　彼氏の話によると、実際飛んでいる時間は5分程度。フリーフォールは落ちて1，2分間でパラシュートが開いてからは3分程です。私はフリーフォールの時は息をするのと、（写真・ＤＶＤを頼んでいたので）カメラを見るので必死でした。パラシュートが開いてからは景色がすごくきれいで感動しました。テレビでの映像を見ているみたいでした。降りた後はすごく疲れていました（笑）彼氏は楽しすぎてもう一回飛びたいと言っていました。
　
　日本や他の国ですることを思うと写真やＤＶＤを頼んでも安いので頼んでおいても良いかと思います。帰国してからみんなで見て楽しんでいます。あと、上空はかなり寒いので、長袖で行くことをお勧めします。

A wonderful experience!!

From beginning to end, which came too soon, was a delightful ride. Our pilot Julie, made it very informative, very interesting and a delight to be with. She made us feel at ease and wanting us to come back again to do another helicopter tour on some of the other islands, especially the big island.

We both had a wonderful experience, thanks in part to Julie and the staff of Blue Hawaiian. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who really wants to see any of the islands. It's something that we will never forget.

Hawaii Big Island Helicopter Tour – Volcanoes, Valleys & Waterfalls Flight

Awesome experience

My husband and I loved it. Never flew in a helicopter before. Exciting! Safety conscious pilot-Roger was great! Music in headphones enhanced the experience. Views of volcano were wonderful. Roger gave all occupants plenty of photo taking opportunities. This was one of our favorite activities on our trip to Hawaii.

It was amazing! I was also grateful that the pilot happened to be Japanese. While flying in the sky, he provided a thorough guide. I ended up sharing the ride with a Canadian family, and we enjoyed the English guide while sharing our excitement together.
One issue I encountered was when I arrived at the hotel and needed to make a call, but the person on the other end only spoke English. Since I hardly understand English, I ended up asking for help from the Japanese desk at the hotel, which resolved the situation.
The price is high, but it is well worth the experience. I recommend this tour for both couples and families.

最高でした！たまたま操縦士の方が日本人だったことも，ありがたかったです。上空を飛んでいるときには丁寧なガイドをしてくださいました。カナダ人の家族と同乗することになりましたが，英語のガイドも楽しみつつ，みんなで感動を分かち合いました。
困った点としては，現地でホテルに着いたときに連絡をするのですが，その電話先の方が英語しかわからなかったことです。私も英語はほとんどわからないので，結局ホテルにある日本語デスクの方に協力をお願いして事なきを得ました。
値段は高いですが，この感動には十分見合った金額です。カップルでもファミリーでもおすすめのツアーです。

Kilauea Volcano Doors-Off Helicopter Tour from Hilo [Not Operating]

A wonderful perspective

Marco was our pilot and he was fabulous. My 13 year old was a bit nervous with the doors off and he made her feel right at ease.
The view you get and the knowledge passed down by Marco was great! You cannot truly appreciate the volcano and what it can do unless you see it from above. The big picture and unique view from above is priceless.
We saw lava the day we went and that was a bonus, but even if you cannot see the the lava, it is still a wonderful way to view the landscape and truly see the devastation the lava flow can do.
We have done another helicopter tour in the past on Kauai and it is the best way to see the islands. You can go places a car cannot and that is worth it!
Thank you Marco and the rest of the staff at Paradise Helicopter...you were wonderful and we had a great trip!

On the day of the event, the winds over Waikiki were quite strong, making it thrilling, but the view from the window was absolutely breathtaking!!

They also created a DVD for us, so we can relive the views over Waikiki even after returning home♪

I think the ability to efficiently take in the sights of Hawaii in a short amount of time is also a great appeal.

I didn't pilot this time, but I plan to do so when I come back next time.

Additionally, I had to change my scheduled time at the last minute due to personal circumstances, but they kindly accommodated me, which was very helpful.

I truly made wonderful memories.

I highly recommend it!

妻とともに参加しました。

参加当日のワイキキ上空は風が強めで結構揺れてスリル満点でしたが窓から見える景色は絶景そのものでした！！

DVDも作成して頂いたので帰国後もワイキキ上空の景色に浸る事が出来ます♪

短い滞在時間の中で効率良くハワイを一望出来る点も魅力だと思います。

今回は操縦はしませんでしたので次回来たときは操縦しようと思います。

また、今回は当方の都合で参加予定時刻を急遽変更しないといけなくなったのですが快く対応して頂き助かりました。

本当に良い思い出が出来ました。

絶対にオススメです！
