The volcanic activity has already calmed down, allowing us to see the areas where lava has flowed and solidified. However, gas is still continuously being emitted, and we can observe that extensive volcanic activity is occurring underground from above.

It was both terrifying and moving to see from the helicopter how the lava flowed over a vast area, causing an entire village to disappear.

I received an email the day before asking me to confirm my reservation by phone, but I was participating in another tour, and when I tried to contact them, no one answered the emergency contact number. Even after leaving a message on the voicemail and sending an email, I received no response.

Moreover, despite it being clearly stated that lunch was included, when I asked the guide around noon, I was told that this tour did not include lunch, and I was even laughed at. I found out on the day that the flight times to Hawaii Island and Oahu Island were completely different, which really stressed me out.

I at least wanted lunch to be provided. For some reason, I was taken to a Japanese-owned bakery in a rural town that I had no interest in, and I wondered what the point was of being asked in advance what I wanted to eat.

The guide provided very little explanation about historical events or legends, mostly just talking about the eruptions from a few years ago. I was disappointed as the stories were only what I had already read in the news or guidebooks.

ものすごく広い範囲に溶岩が流れ、村ひとつが消滅していってしまったことがヘリから見られて、恐ろしくもあり、感動でもありました。

前日にメールが来て、予約確認の連絡を電話するように書かれて来ましたが、別のツアーに参加していて連絡が遅くなると閉まっていて緊急連絡先にさえ誰も出ず。留守番電話にメッセージを残しても、メールで返事をしても向こうからの返信はありませんでした。

しかも「昼食付」としっかり書かれていたのに、１２時頃にガイドに聞くと、このツアーには昼食は付いていないと言われ、かつ、鼻で笑われました。ハワイ島に向かう飛行機の時間も、オアフ島に向かう飛行機の時間も全く違うことが当日に分かり、本当に焦りました。

せめて昼食は出してほしかったです。なぜか全く興味のない田舎町の日本人経営のパン屋に連れていかれましたが、事前に食べたいものを聞かれた意味はなんだったんでしょうか。

ガイドも歴史的なことや伝説はほとんど説明がなく、数年前の噴火の話ばかり。ニュースやガイドブックに載っていた話だけだったのでがっかりでした。

I always go back and forth on whether I want to fly or ride to ferry to Lana'i and I'm always so glad I choose the ferry when I do. Although it is a longer ride and takes a while to get to the harbor because of where I live, it's always a leisurely ride and I love watching the whales. The only downside is that if you don't get there early enough, you have to sit inside which is not as nice on a pretty day.

The only issue was parking. We were told to park in the lot across from the big banyan tree so we did. We got a $60 ticket for overtime parking. Not pleased!!!!!

Rosario was a wonderful tour Guide. friendly and Professional. the van was clean and the windows were polished. He took us to some of the most beautiful places on Earth. at the top of the canyon he had a wonderful lunch set up. He talked with each person and got some information about their origins and back - ground. the photo stops were unbelievable and he made everybody feel special and their was not one question he did not answer in detail! He gave great prospective, from a locals point of view ton every topic. I highly recommend Rosario (for your next ohau - kauai - tour) Five stars all the way!

Everything about this trip was perfect - staff, condition of the ferry, safety, timing etc. And the whales were jumping to add to all of that!!

Crew was workable and made it work for us to take an earlier ride than we had scheduled. So nice!

Pleasant ride over. The boat noise and the rocking waves put us to sleep.

My fiancé and I took the ferry to get away for the day and it was so beautiful over on lanai! Ferry ride was easy and spacious. Be sure to wear sunscreen if you sit up top!

It was a great ride! If you want to sit on top of the ferry and get a good view, be sure to get there early. We saw lots of whales on our way back from Lanai! Take a Dramamine if you get a little motion sickness and you won’t have any issues. The ferry was spacious and super easy to book online. We will definitely be going back to lanai using this service!

Great customer service! Loading and unloading issues could be mitigated with idiot proof directions.

This tour was worth every penny. The sites and culture we experienced were beyond our expectations. The tour guide was so friendly and her knowledge of each and every site visited and of the Hawaiian culture and history was beyond outstanding. This tour has to be the highlight of our visit to the Big Island. If you want an exciting, exhilarating, beautiful, and culturally immersive experience this tour will meet your every expectation.

I was on a vacation to Maui with friends and we did a day trip to Lanai using this ferry service. The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable during the ride. It was whale season, so we saw many whales during the crossing. The ferry left promptly on time and the captain ensured that we were well informed the entire journey. Highly recommend!

No issues. Saw many whales. Very comfortable and hope to take another trip when we return to Maui.

Boat was on time and boarding was easy. We went in January when their were a lot of whales in the channel. The captain slowed and drove the boat to maximized our whale viewing! Lovely day!! Get in line early for a top seat on the boat!

The crew was amazing and really entertaining. They kept everyone fed and laughing the whole time. I would highly recommend this one day trip to Lana’i over any other snorkel trip elsewhere. Lunch was amazing on the island as well as the two breakfasts they served on the way to the island. The best experience of our Maui vacation!

This was an awesome tour. It went like clockwork and our tour guide, Ernie, was very knowledgeable of the island and took good care of us. I would highly recommend this tour.

The ferry is clean, staff is friendly & helpful, ride is comfortable and you have a choice to be in air conditioning or open air.

We chose open air and had quite a show of whale activity.

The ferry was great! I saw my very first whale during the ride to Lanai! The whale put on quite a show. The ferry was a smooth tode & we enjoyed it!

Great experience! Steve was extremely knowledgeable and told us all about Lanai’s history. He took his time and made sure we got the best from our tour. We wanted to see the turtles and he found them for us and gave us time to explore. He is the best and I highly recommend him as a tour guide if you want to explore Lanai.

Our tour guide, Steve, was right on time, friendly, super knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about his island home. We were able to see everything of interest on Lanai (except the resorts, which are not open to sight-seers). If you are on a one-day trip to Lanai, this is the way to go.

It was a great full day with my family. Captain Raquel and her team were amazing! Saw lots of whales in the morning with Haleakala in the background. Dolphins joined us on the ride back too! The entire team was fun and interacted w/ all of us. We can't recommend it enough!

Guide "Jelly" took the two of us on a customized tour giving us lots of history of the island and also information about local activities due to his years on Lana'i. Exceptional value and great fun.

We had a wonderful time touring some popular sites on Lanai (Shipwreck Beach, Garden of Gods, Cat sanctuary). Many of the sites were off unpaved roads, so have a driving guide really saved a lot of work and planning. The tour group with Russ, Ray and Cory was very accommodating, making extra arrangements to make sure no one is left stranded, even when unplanned events arise. The hardest part was figuring out where to pick up the tickets that morning. For us it was a booth across the street from the Pioneer Inn, near a small lighthouse.

The ferry was good, prompt and safe. The island is terrific. The bay next to the ferry has terrific snorkeling, better than anything we’ve been able to find in Maui (but we’re newbies, so might easily mistaken). Take a pill if you get seasick, trip back was bouncy.

The tour guide gave information about all the stops and walked with us the whole time.
This was my most memorable tour in Hawaii.

From beginning to end it was a pleasure to ride the ferry. Plenty of seats upper and lower decks. Most people slept, that's how comfortable it is. No issues.

. It was the best excursion we had on the island, customer service, the boat, the crew, the food it was definitely a white glove experience. You have to do this excursion don’t waste your money on a luau do this excursion instead

Overall I enjoyed the ferry ride to and from Lanai Island. There was limited seating outdoors and I wasn’t comfortable with COVID sitting inside. It was great though, that we were able to walk around during the ride.
