The sea in Hawaii in February is cold. ハワイの2月の海は寒い

I was able to see about five sea turtles and coral reefs while snorkeling. However, the sea was cold, and there was wind, so I only snorkeled once and quickly changed.

The tide was high, and my 3-year-old daughter couldn't walk on the sand, so I had to carry her and we only went a little into the water.

The sea is best to visit in the summer. The bus for transportation was also cold, so it's better to dress warmly.

My family, including four kids, had a wonderful time on the Na Pali coast boat tour. The crew went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. We saw bottlenose and spinner dolphins and tons of whales up close. The views of the coast were mesmerizing. Although the weather did not cooperate for snorkeling, the crew made up for it by letting us jump off the boat and swim. It was a day to remember and a highlight for the kids!

I was lucky to be able to make a reservation as there were still openings the day before! I enjoyed stand-up paddleboarding and relaxing on a float in the beautiful waters of Kaneohe Sandbar (when I went, the water was about waist-deep), and after that, I was able to go on a short snorkeling trip to see the coral reefs. During snorkeling, I saw three large sea turtles, which was fantastic. There were also cute eels! It was great to enjoy cocoa on the boat along with spam musubi and snacks! Since it’s compact and enjoyable in the morning, I think it’s perfect for those with a shorter stay. There was also a Japanese staff member, so I think those who are not confident in their English will feel at ease. Don’t forget that it can be cold getting out of the water in winter without a towel!

前日にまだ空きがあり、予約できてラッキーでした！
カネオヘサンドバーという綺麗な海(私が行った時は腰くらいまでの深さでした)でSUPをしたり、浮き輪で浮いたりのんびりしたあとに、短いコースですがサンゴ礁シュノーケルができました。
シュノーケル中3匹も大きなウミガメが見れてとても良かったです。かわいいウツボもいました♪
船の上でココア飲んだりスパムにぎりやお菓子もいただけてとても良かったです！
午前でコンパクトに楽しめるので、滞在が短めな方にはぴったりだと思います。スタッフさんに日本人の方もいたので英語苦手な人も安心だと思います。
タオルがないと海から上がったあと冬場は寒いと思うのでお忘れなく！

The best tour ever. Went with this tour 4-5 times already and we absolutely love it. I took all my visitors there! All my friends and families love it. The stuffs are super friendly and they are the best people. The boat caption , Kevin is the nicest guy ever. So much activities to do : kayak , paddle board , snorkeling and banana boat. The staff spoke Japanese, so the safety explanations, including sending signals if someone was in danger of drowning, were very clear. My husband couldn't swim very well, so we planned to wait on the boat, but thanks to the staff, we were able to go snorkeling.

It was fun to use the SAP and floaties. The spam onigiri, snacks, and macadamia nut coffee were also delicious.

Since it was cold in February, I think it's better to bring a long-sleeved cover-up.

日本語が話せるスタッフでしたので、おぼれそうになったらサインを送る等安全面含め説明がとても分かりやすかったです。主人がほとんど泳げませんでしたので船で待機する予定でしたが、スタッフの方のおかげでシュノーケリングができました。
SAPや浮き輪も使えて楽しかったです。スパムのおむすび、スナック菓子、マカダミアナッツのコーヒーもおいしかったです。
2月で寒かったので、長袖の羽織るものをお持ちいただいた方がよいと思います。

It was a bit cold with strong winds in February, but it was fine once I got into the sea! The staff were very friendly and spoke Japanese, so I felt comfortable enjoying my time there.

We participated as a pair. The weather was a mix of cloudy and sunny. There were about 30 participants, and surprisingly, 28 of them were Japanese. Therefore, all the explanations that day were in Japanese, and the crew members were very kind. When we went to the heavenly sea by boat, we were greeted by an emerald blue that looked like a picture. It was much more beautiful than the sea at Waikiki Beach. We participated in early February, and the sea was warmer than we expected. First, we rode a stand-up paddleboard in the shallow waters for the first time, and it felt very pleasant. After that, we went snorkeling and swam above the fish. We also encountered turtles twice. This was the activity where I felt the most connected to Hawaii during this trip. I would love to participate again if I come back.

We were able to participate as a family. There was an initial explanation, but I could hardly understand it in English. Just before entering the water, I realized that wearing the rental life jackets was not optional for those diving; everyone had to wear one. It would be easier to understand if there were boards displaying information in multiple languages.

The snorkeling was fantastic, with clear weather and a wonderful encounter with a turtle. There were some waves as we headed out to sea, and I got a bit seasick. Participants should be cautious about that. However, even in that situation, I felt safe. The staff were kind and helped me recover quickly.

At the end, we took a commemorative photo with the staff. It was a great memory to be able to swim with the turtle as well.

現地1/30(月)
母の還暦祝いにハワイ旅行をプレゼントしました。
1月下旬のハワイは風が強いためかなり肌寒く、スコール頻度が高かったです。

ツアーには日本人が3組と、外国人が3.4組ほどの合同でホテルまでの送迎付きで参加しました。

CMでよく見るサンドバーを想像していましたが、着いた時は曇天、潮位も腰ぐらい、水温もかなり冷たかったので、想像してたのとは違いがありました。
サンドバーでは同じツアーの日本人家族とバレーボールで激しく動いたのでその時は寒さを感じませんでした(笑)
船に戻るとものすごく寒すぎて日本人はみなブルブル震えていました。なので、タオルは多めで大きいの、羽織物も必須です。
船上では、日本人女性ガイドさんが親切にわかりやすく説明してくれました。
昼食は船上で焼いたハンバーガー
美味しかったです♪

ウミガメウォッチングでは、見事に大きなウミガメが何匹も海面に顔を出していました！
さらに、人生初大きな野生のマンタにも会うことができました！

シュノーケリング
思ってたよりかなり深く水深は約10-15mとのこと。
前日の大雨やスコールの影響で水中はかなり濁ってました。
近くまでいかないと何も見えない状況下の中で、なんとか大きな珊瑚と小魚見つけました(笑)
さらに急に野生のウミガメが現れてビックリ！
水温がかなり低かったので長居は出来ませんでしたが、貴重な体験をすることが出来ました！

ハワイ初シュノーケルは天候に恵まれなかったので残念でしたが、ツアー自体は見応えあって満足しています！
次こそは乾季の時期にもう一度トライしたいと思います！

Absolutely loved my excursion with this crew. Hands down the best snorkeling experience I had. There were 4 crew members and all were very nice and accommodating. They made us feel at home with drink service (juice, water, alcohol) as well as an awesome playlist. One of the guys, Justin (with long blonde hair) was in the water with us guiding us to where the turtles were. He even dove with my GoPro and got some epic footage. The trip all-in-all was about 90 min, which is perfect. I think a longer tour would have been too much personally. We spent a little over an hour in the water. HIGHLY recommend booking this trip. Thanks fellas! I had a blast

Sea Paradise did a great job. We saw six mantas. I thought the boat trip would be a bit longer. Just a short ride out from shore. So it's not about sailing. But the mantas make up for it.

We had a surprise interaction with a pod of spinner dolphins. It was so unexpected but such a highlight to see them swimming in our wake.

We had such a fun time snorkeling with the mantas. We didn't realize how close they come to you in the water. One of them belly-bumped me by accident. Such graceful sea creatures.

I was a little nervous about snorkeling at night but I'm so glad I went. It's less of a snorkel and more of a snorkel float where you hold onto a floating mat with LED lights underneath. The mantas were swooping underneath us eating the plankton. It was so calm and magical. Highly recommend.

Dolphin Quest Hawaii - Dolphin Swim & Encounter at Hilton Waikoloa Village

We weren't sure what to expect with this dolphin interaction but it was amazing. You can tell the care the trainers have for the dolphins and it was a very well run operation helping to build awareness about the local conservation efforts to protect Hawaii's marine life.

There were two Japanese staff members who were both very friendly and attentive, which made it easy to enjoy the activities. Despite being fully booked, the staff acted promptly and efficiently, which was truly impressive. I had a personal issue after the event, but they kindly helped me with that as well, and I am really grateful. I definitely want to come back here next time! Thank you so much! 😊

Kaneohe Bay Kayak & Snorkel Self-Guided Tour [Tour Not Available]

Far kayak, but great!

A little difficult to navigate and see things. You’re on your own, so you’ll really need to be cognizant of the area and where to anchor down. Sand bar was a bit out, but was a great experience. Not for beginners but also not terribly difficult. Bring a watch or phone, the kayaks are very stable and didn’t tip on us when trying to get back in. Staff was great
