In August 2012, I participated in my fifth dolphin swimming tour. As I had heard, this time of year is the season for baby dolphins, and I encountered many of them. Moreover, they swam leisurely, allowing me to observe them closely. The baby dolphins had a whitish color and were swimming with all their might. Occasionally, they also showed off some spins. The sandbar is likely more enjoyable on low tide, but it seems you can still have a decent time even when the land isn't exposed. When I went, there was just enough of a path left when we arrived, but by the time we left, the land was gone.

On the day I participated, there were about 100 people, but the area to play in is large, so it wasn't too bothersome. You won't have the ocean all to yourself, though.

The staff were kind, which was nice, but I wish they would refrain from smoking on the sandbar.

The turtles and snorkeling were pretty average; the main attraction is the sandbar.

I think it's enjoyable for elderly people and families as well.

スタッフの方は親切でよかったですが、サンドバーで煙草を吸うのだけはやめてほしかったです。

カメやシュノーケルはまあ普通、メインはサンドバーでしょう。

お年寄りや家族連れでも楽しめると思います。

It felt like a paradise at sea! Due to the tides, the water was about knee-deep, but we were blessed with beautiful weather and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning ocean! The staff were all very fun people, and even though it was just a light snack, it was enough to fill us up. We were also able to see several sea turtles!

I was looking forward to the sandbar. After getting on the boat and listening to various instructions and explanations, we headed to the sandbar... It seemed to be a bit high tide, so the water was quite deep and initially cold, but we took some photos around the waist-deep area, and now that I'm back, I look at those pictures with nostalgia. During snorkeling, I was able to see many fish, as well as pufferfish and rays. The BBQ lunch was very delicious. The staff were all kind, and I made some wonderful memories.

The scenery was wonderful, and I was moved, but since I was seated next to the pilot (the computer assigns seats based on weight), I kept seeing the pilot yawn, which made me nervous. When I asked, "Are you sleepy?" he replied, "No!" so I took his word for it. The first hour was over Kilauea, and the second hour was over Waipi'o Valley. There was a stop at Hilo Airport for a break. Anyway, I'm glad we arrived safely.

I was moved by the incredibly beautiful sea. The guide was kind, and not only the Japanese guides but also the foreign guides could speak Japanese and taught us various things. It was rare for this type of tour to have a mix of Japanese and foreigners; out of about ten people, my family was the only Japanese. An American woman (I think) who was participating alone casually spoke to me, and it was fun to enjoy the foreign atmosphere.
The lack of free time was a bit disappointing, so I give it four stars instead of five.

非常にきれいな海で感動しました。ガイドさんも親切で、日本人ガイドだけでは無く、外人のガイドさんも日本語が出来ますし、いろいろと教えてくれました。この手のツアーでは珍しく、日本人と外人の混合で、10数人中、日本人はウチの家族だけでした。一人で参加しているアメリカ人（だと思うのですが）のおばさんが気さくに声をかけてくれて、外国気分も堪能できて楽しかったです。
自由時間がほとんど無いのがちょっと、、、なので☆一つ減の４つです。

One thing to note is to not forget your motion sickness medication. You might get seasick.

One point of concern is that for the first 30 minutes or so, you cruise around the bay before starting to prepare to see the mantas. It's unclear whether you're waiting in line because of many competing companies or for some other reason, but cruising around the bay at sunset was not interesting at all...

The staff acted as our photographer, giving us poses to strike, and we were able to take wonderful family photos.

After that, it was snorkeling time, and my husband and daughter participated. I took some time to explore the sandbar before returning to the boat to watch the snorkeling. It seemed quite deep, but they had a lot of fun seeing many fish. They mentioned that they would have liked a bit more time. The morning tour has a shorter duration, so that's understandable. We enjoyed our sandwiches and drinks leisurely, and there was no wasted time, which made us very satisfied. The staff were always energetic and kept the atmosphere lively. This is our second time participating as a family, and we had a great time. At the sandbar, the timing of low tide doesn't always align perfectly, so the water level can reach up to our knees. Standing there and looking around gives you a strange feeling as if you're in the middle of the ocean. If you have small children, not being able to snorkel might reduce the fun a bit. Turtles can be seen everywhere. I wish it were a bit cheaper for the kids...

あそこにたって周りを見渡すと海の真中にいるので不思議な感じになります。

I am very grateful for the cheerful shuttle driver and the young crew staff, as their service was extremely satisfying. The charcoal-grilled hamburger was absolutely delicious. I also spoke with other families, and everyone was truly enjoying themselves, all saying, "I'm so glad we participated in this tour!!!" I will definitely join again next time. There were other dolphin tours available, but the limited number of participants was a deciding factor for me. The staff were very accommodating, which made me feel secure participating in the tour. There was one child who joined with their mother, and I appreciated how well the staff interacted with the child.

I was able to see many dolphins up close (the staff were shouting from the boat, directing us to look this way and that. It's surprising how you might miss them even when you're right next to them), and it was a very enjoyable tour. I will definitely participate again when I visit the Big Island.

The staff seemed to almost forget to collect the fees from the participants on the day, so that might be why there were no snacks provided. However, we did receive juice. Well, that's not something I was primarily expecting, so it wasn't a problem at all, but I wanted to mention it for future reference.

I had a great time. Thank you very much.

他にもイルカのツアーはありましたが、定員の数が少ないというのも決め手でした。スタッフのみなさんの対応も大変よくて安心してツアーに参加できました。ひとり、お子さんがお母さんと参加していましたが、そのお子さんに対するスタッフさんの対応も気持ちがよくて私は好きでした。

たくさんのイルカを間近でみることができ（スタッフさんも海の中、船の上からこっち、あっち~と叫んでくださいます。そばにいても意外と気づかなかったりするものなんですね）とても楽しいツアーでした。ハワイ島に行ったらまたぜひ参加します。

当日参加の方の代金の回収すら忘れちゃいそうになってるスタッフさんだったのでその延長かもしれませんが、スナックはありませんでしたね。ジュースはいただきましたけれど。まあ、そこはメインで期待している部分ではないので全然問題ないですが一応記載事項でしたので今後のためにも書いておきます。

Stuffのみなさんの明るいことﾍ(^o^)/対応も素早く、的確でした。でも、ENGLISHはちょっと早口で、理解するのに頭をフルに使わないと・・・でもでもとても親切でした。
とても満足のできるツアーでした。そして迫力のあるクルージングは最高！

最後に一言、クルーザーは停泊中はかなりゆれます。乗り物酔い止めの薬を飲んでいった方が幸せかも・・・
アメリカの人々のstomachはとってもタフです。日本人は？？けっこう繊細なことにも気が付きました。

We participated in a tour with lunch as a family. The air conditioning in the car was quite strong. We were divided into a cruiser and a smaller boat, and we were on the smaller boat. While it may not have been as stylish, it was nice to be surrounded by families with small children, creating a homely atmosphere.

We saw plenty of sea turtles, and at the sandbar, the staff helped with taking photos and even got everyone involved in beach volleyball. The snorkeling lasted about 30 to 40 minutes, and they constantly reminded us from the boat to be careful as "the coral can cut your feet."

The BBQ hamburger for lunch was exceptionally delicious, and we appreciated the prompt drink service as soon as we boarded, as well as the warm drinks after snorkeling (it was quite windy and cold that day).

ランチ付のツアーに家族で参加しました。
行きの車中はクーラーがかなりきいてました。
船はクルザーと小さめのボートに分かれて乗りましたが私たちは小さめの船でした。かっこよさでは劣りますが家族連ればかりで小さなお子さんたちもいてアットホームな感じでこちらで良かったと思いました。
ウミガメもたくさん見れたし、サンドバーではスタッフの方が撮影に協力してくれたりビーチバレーをして盛り上げてくれました。シュノーケリングは３０~４０分ほどあり「珊瑚の上は足が切れるので気をつけてくださ~い」と常に船上から声かけしてくれてました。
ランチのBBQハンバーガーは絶妙に美味しく乗船してすぐにドリンクのサービスやシュノーケリング後の温かいドリンク（この日は風が強く寒かった）の心遣いも嬉しかったです。
お天気に左右されますが１度は行ってみても良いと思います。
