The guide and staff were fun and cheerful, making the experience enjoyable. However, it was a bit disappointing that the sky was cloudy and the waves were high that day. The sandbar was about knee-deep. There's not much you can do about the weather, though. I purchased some beautiful photos taken with a DSLR camera. If you're looking to save money, I recommend bringing a waterproof camera.

The snorkeling was very safe, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to see sea turtles up close. The BBQ lunch was delicious, with a healthy flavor and content that Japanese people tend to prefer.

We participated in snorkeling, which was great, but those who didn't might have found it a bit boring. Families were feeding the turtles and taking photos, while some couples were napping on the boat. Even as a beginner swimmer, I didn't find snorkeling difficult, so I think participating would likely lead to a higher satisfaction level.

ガイドさんをはじめスタッフが楽しく陽気な人柄で楽しませてくれました。ただ、この日は終始曇り空で波が高かったのがちょっと残念でした、、、サンドバーも膝丈くらいまではあったかな。お天気ばかりは仕方がないことですね^^;一眼レフで綺麗に写真を撮っていただけたので購入しました。節約したい方は防水用カメラ持参がオススメです。
シュノーケリングも十分に安全を確保してもらい、堪能できました。ウミガメも間近で見ることができました。BBQランチは、日本人好みのヘルシーな味付けと内容でとてもおいしくいただきました。
私たちはシュノーケリングに参加したのでよかったのですが、参加しなかった方は少し退屈だったのかも。家族連れはカメに餌をあげたり写真を撮って楽しんでいましたが、カップルの中には船で眠っている方もいました。泳ぎは初心者の私でもシュノーケリングは難しく感じなかったので、できれば参加したほうが満足度が高いかなと思います。

We did the snorkel excursion during a week long family trip to Maui, Hawaii. Capt Lily was amazing and the other staff/crew were as well. Everyone in my group had a blast and it was definitely a highlight of my trip. We got to see so much, and actually meet cool people as well! It is advertised as a snorkel excursion but count on it to be a whale/dolphin watching as well! We had a great time. Thank you!!

I found the excursion very fun. The best part about the trip was the amount of information that we all learned from our crew members. The amount of whales we saw was incredible, and how Captain Lilly put the attention of the boat on the whales and spinner Dolphins that were close by. She told us what was happening and taught us some very cool things that she was clearly very passionate about. I found the other crew members very helpful as well, they were always offering us help with anything that we needed. I felt very safe on the boat and as well in the areas we snorkelled, which was thanks to the crew members putting our safety first. I thought our crew members did a very excellent job at making our trip a very enjoyable learning experience.

Our family returned from Maui less than a week ago. We squeezed in a lot of outings and adventures in our time there, but the 7 of us all agreed the snorkel trip was by far the highlight of our vacation! We have been on a few other snorkel excursions over the years, but the Dolphin Watch & Snorkel BBQ Lunch Cruise far exceeded our expectations. We were very fortunate that there were only a couple dozen people on the boat so it was quite personable. We were greeted warmly with a light breakfast of fruit and pastries. Weather wise, we could not have picked a better day!
We had anticipated to see some whales, but WOW is all I can say! Capt Lily was genuinely as excited to see the things we saw even though I'm sure she's seen them all dozens of times before. She was very knowledgeable and stopped often, positioning us for the best viewing as the whales were so active. We also saw spinner dolphins which was exciting. We boated out to Lanai and had the opportunity to snorkel in two different places. At our first stop the kids saw numerous fish and were lucky enough to see a sea turtle! Our second stop was at Sweetheart Rock where there were a ton of different fish. The boat had a slide that a few people took the opportunity to enjoy.
The staff was extremely friendly and professional and went out of their way to ensure everyone was comfortable. They had noodles and boogie boards for those that weren’t strong swimmers. There were always a minimum of two staff in the water with us, often more.
We were treated to a lunch BBQ’d right on board! We enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, fruit, chips and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. One of our kids is a vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate her with a veggie burger without prior warning.
The total excursion was 6.5 hours and flew by! Everyone enjoyed every minute of it and we will all have great memories for years to come! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our day truly memorable!

This is a 5-hour activity.
The day before, I received a notification that the meeting time would be 2 hours earlier than planned due to bad weather. It was helpful to get this notice, as sometimes there is no communication about time changes.
The activity involves going out to sea on an engine-powered rubber boat. The boat jumps over the waves, which adds quite a thrill and makes it enjoyable.
(Safety measures are in place, so there's no risk of falling into the sea.)
During this time of year, we encountered dolphins and whales, and the boat stopped each time we spotted them. We saw schools of dolphins multiple times and witnessed whale jumps as well. Since I was considering a dolphin and whale watching tour, I felt it was a great deal. We also got to see the Big Island from the sea and got close to the lava cliffs, with the guide providing information, making the trip to the snorkeling spot very satisfying.
The main part of the tour, snorkeling, took about 2 hours in a calm cove. The waves were gentle, and the water was clear, allowing us to see corals, tropical fish, and small turtles swimming. Just floating was pleasant, and they provided boards to help with floating. They also prepared sandwiches, fruits, snacks, and drinks, so if you get tired, you can take a break on the boat with some light refreshments.
The other participants in the tour were mostly international travelers, aside from my friend and me, but we had no issues and enjoyed ourselves. It seems that many Japanese tourists also participate, and the guide spoke to us in Japanese that he knew.
The weather was not very good, with the sun coming out and then clouding over, so sunscreen was not absolutely necessary, but I think sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are essential for the tour.
After the activity, we could enjoy delicious seafood at a restaurant near the harbor, which also increased our satisfaction.
It was a packed and enjoyable experience. I think this is a tour I can recommend.

太陽が出たり、曇ったりと天候があまり良くなかったので日焼け止めを必須ではありませんでしたが、ツアーには日焼け止め、帽子、サングラスは必要だと思います。
アクティビティ後は、ハーバー周辺のレストランで美味しい魚介類も食べることができ、これも満足度をアップさせてくれます。
盛りだくさんで、楽しめました。お薦めできるツアーだと思います。

The crew was informative, very helpful, and made the afternoon totally enjoyable.
Aftersnorkeling there was a report of a whale and that had just calved. The crew took us to the area where the whale was sighted and we, too, were able to see multiple sightings of the whale.

The sandbar unfortunately didn't have any sand, but I was able to enjoy myself in water that was about ankle-deep. I was able to see turtles swimming in the sea as well. Snorkeling was my first experience, and I was scared, so I could only do it for a short time, but I was able to see corals and fish. However, in the afternoon, clouds came out and it got cold, so I regretted not bringing more warm clothing. The staff were all friendly and nice people. Next time, I would like to go in spring or summer.

We took a catamaran ride as a couple in our 50s. The two handsome crew members didn't speak Japanese, but they were friendly and we managed with their broken English. My wife can't swim, but they provided life jackets and simple floaties, so there were no issues. Above all, the experience of swimming with sea turtles was invaluable. The free hamburgers they provided were also delicious. However, be careful as the meeting point is at the left end of Outrigger Beach facing the sea, and it was hard to find. There were no signs or anything.

I felt安心 (at ease) participating since I had used it before. I didn't get seasick last time, but for some reason, despite taking motion sickness medication this time, I ended up feeling nauseous (+_+). However, I encountered a group of about 30 cute dolphins, and I saw plenty of turtles, so I was very satisfied! I want to go to Hawaii to swim with dolphins using Dolphin Academy again in the future☆ Next time, I will definitely take stronger motion sickness medication!

Had a rainy start to the morning, but it ended up a beautiful day. Started with a trip out from shore to try and see some whales. Sadly we didn't see any, but we were able to hear them calling under us, which was amazing! Snorkeling was great, rusty was able to point out to us some of the reef life that often gets missed and was great about getting us into the water. Great time!

Usually, I enjoy a free-spirited trip in Hawaii by renting a car, but this time I found driving a bit cumbersome, so I utilized various plans. This "sandbar tour" was one of them.

We enjoyed the beautiful water and friendly staff (especially the women, who provided attentive service that left a strong impression). We also got to see sea turtles!

There is just one disappointing point. For us in our 60s, January can be a bit chilly! Even the beautiful sea was only bearable for about 15 minutes. I recommend that those visiting during this time prepare for the cold. Other than that, I highly recommend it without any complaints.

We participated as a family of four: a couple with a 12-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl. Since it was February 11, we rented wetsuits for the whole family. We started in shallow water to get a feel for things before moving to deeper areas. I think we swam quite a bit, and since our 7-year-old girl (who has snorkeling experience) was in the care of our guide, Chieko, we felt at ease. We were also able to see turtles. As mentioned, we only needed swimsuits, towels, a change of clothes, and minimal cash, which was not a problem. A camera is not necessary unless it's an underwater camera. We brought our underwater video camera, but the guide's camera took much better pictures. Our remaining cash and mobile phone were safely stored in a sturdy box, which gave us peace of mind. We had a great time, so thank you very much!

It was my first time in Hawaii, and since there was no Japanese-speaking guide on the tour, I was initially anxious. However, all the participants were fun people, and I had a great time! From the reception, I couldn't communicate in Japanese, but a very pleasant woman explained things using gestures. After checking in, I used the restroom, applied sunscreen, and waited until it was time for the tour. If you don't apply sunscreen here, you could end up with a bad sunburn after about seven hours. We boarded the rubber boat and headed out to see dolphins. We encountered many that day, and they were so cute as they chased after the boat! From there, we went to the snorkeling point. It was my first time snorkeling, but I was able to enjoy it thanks to the Japanese instructions provided. Along the way, we were served soft drinks, snacks, sandwiches, and fruits. The weather was great, making it even more special. On our way back, we were lucky enough to encounter a whale!!! It seems that this doesn't happen very often! It was a fun day spent with cheerful people.

初めてのハワイで日本語のガイドがいないツアーだったので初めは不安でしたが、参加者の皆さんも楽しい人たちばかりでとても楽しめました！受付からずっと日本語は通じませんでしたが、とても感じのいい女性がジェスチャーを交えて説明してくれます。受付の後はトイレを済ませ、日焼け止めを塗って、案内してもらうまで待ちます。ここで塗らないと7時間ほどかかるので真っ赤に焼けてしまいます。ゴムボートに乗り込みまずはイルカを見に行きます。この日はたくさん出会えました。ボートを追いかけてきてすごく可愛かったです！そこからシュノーケリングポイントへ行きます。シュノーケリングも初めてだったのですが、日本語の注意事項の表記で説明してもらい楽しく終えることができました。途中でソフトドリンクとお菓子やサンドイッチ、フルーツも出ました。天気も良かったので格別でした。帰り際、ラッキーなことに鯨に遭遇!!!こんなことはなかなかないみたいです！陽気な人たちと楽しく過ごした一日でした。

The participants were mostly Japanese, and the guide who took us out to sea spoke Japanese, which made the tour worry-free for us since we couldn't speak English.

We were blessed with good weather, enjoying clear skies during this season! Although we couldn't see the sandbar at low tide, the clarity of the seawater was amazing! The interactions with the guide and other participants were also very enjoyable.

From the boat, we were able to spot several sea turtles, and during my first-ever snorkeling experience, I miraculously swam right next to a sea turtle.

Since we went on our honeymoon, it became an unforgettable memory for us!

I would love to participate again next time!

I participated with my daughter and wife. The instructor mentioned that there have been days recently when they haven't been able to see dolphins, and many days have been canceled due to bad weather (high waves), but today the weather was nice, which was great.

クジラも数回見ることができましたよ・・・自分は振り向いたらもういなかったですけど。

The weather was incredibly nice, and the staff (Kelly, Yuki, Brian) were very kind and took great care of us. We were able to see sea turtles and many beautiful fish, and both the hamburgers and wine were delicious. We took a lot of great photos, especially the ones of us jumping from the boat. Playing volleyball was also fun.

I had a great time with my grandson, my eldest son and his wife.

First, we enjoyed a beach volleyball game at a sandbar with a water depth of about 20 cm. It was a multinational game, and the skill level wasn't too high. After that, we practiced snorkeling. It was my first time snorkeling, but I had almost no problems. The only issue was when I tried to breathe while swimming freestyle out of habit, and water came in, making me cough. However, since we practiced in shallow water, I was fine after that.

On our way to the coral reef, we encountered several sea turtles. From the boat, they looked like clumps of seagrass floating in the water, but they were all sea turtles. Occasionally, they would come up for air, and my grandkids were thrilled.

We then arrived at our final destination, the coral reef, which was about 50 meters in diameter. We put on life jackets and fins and enjoyed snorkeling. There were plenty of colorful fish around the coral, and we had a great time exploring the reef. I heard that if you're lucky, you can swim with sea turtles, but unfortunately, we couldn't this time. However, we did get to see sea turtles resting on the reef.

Those who were confident swimmers were diving around the boat, and I thought that was a fun way to enjoy it too. My 4-year-old grandson was initially scared and wouldn't swim away from the boat, but when I held his hands and swam together, he had a lot of fun. そして、最終目的地の珊瑚礁に到着。そこは直径50mほどの珊瑚礁で、ライフジャケットとフィンを付けてシュノーケリング楽しみました。サンゴの周りは色とりどりの魚が一杯で、楽しみながら珊瑚礁を一廻りしました。機会に恵まれると、ウミガメと一緒に泳ぐこともできるそうですが、今回は残念ながら一緒に泳ぐことはできませんでした。しかし、珊瑚礁で休んでいるウミガメにはちゃんと出会えました。
泳ぎに自信のある人は、船の周りで潜っていましたが、そんな楽しみ方も良いと思います。
4歳の孫は最初は怖くて船から泳ぎに出られなかったのですが、両手をとって一緒に泳ぐと結構はしゃいでいました。孫の感想は「水面から赤と白の魚が見えたよ」でした。
船の中では外国の人たちとも一緒で、一緒にビーチバレーを楽しんだ人とは、結構仲良くなりました。
家族の良い思い出が残りました。

Molokini and Turtle Town Snorkel Cruise with Food & Open Bar - Pride of Maui

Not the best snorkeling ever, but tour was fun

Molokini is not as stunning a snorkel spot as some say: there's only a select variety of fish and there's no impressive coral reef. The water is very clear though. But there are definitely much better snorkeling options elsewhere to be found.
We had a muddy water day for Turtle Town sadly, but I got to see a turtle nonetheless, which was nice.
The tour organisation was class though, well-spirited. Breakfast was decent, lunch was very good. And there were a lot of whales to be seen! I must say that even with Molokini not completely living up to its reputation I had a good fun day. Time well-spent.
