Hawaii is expensive let's be honest. This is a great trip for the money. We had a group of 15 from age 3-65. It was an amazing adventure for all. When we finished snorkeling, the boat ride around diamond head with cocktails and great music was perfect. Thank you to our Captain Ryan and crew for a laidback barefoot excursion. We will definitely do it again.

Deluxe Kona Manta Ray Night Snorkeling Cruise from Keauhou Bay - Hula Kai

You have to do this activity! If you love sea creatures, and have not done this before, go for it! The Hula Kai is the way to go. Other tours are available, but the Hula Kai us the best outfit. Plan it early in the trip. It is highly unlikely that the Mantas will not show up, but if they don't, go again. It is only a couple of hours, and a reliable great time. You don't need to be an experienced snorkel / scuba person, they have a system all worked out. Very easy in and out of the water. Go for it!

Great service. You normally have to get to Bay early. Parking is very limited. We overslept. We were able to make reservation and catch shuttle to Bay. They did all possible to fit us in with 2 -3 hours notice. There are 4 pickups a day in Waikiki. They have all gear you need on the shuttle or you can bring your own. Beautiful place

I came to Hawaii Island for the first time. I wanted to see Kilauea Volcano, but it would take too long to get there by rental car, so I joined this tour. I was worried about whether the high cost of the tour would be worth it, but the experience was even more wonderful than I imagined. The pilot was Japanese and occasionally explained things in Japanese, which made it easy to understand.

However, be prepared for the possibility of cancellations due to weather conditions. We were able to go, but the next group had their tour canceled after checking in and had to go back...

crew was competent and friendly. it was an easy boat ride to turtle canyon. crew kept close eye on snorkelers for swimmer safety and protection of turtles. I saw the crew actually pick up plastic bag debris drifting by the site (left by someone else) to prevent the turtles from ingesting it. That's my kind of tour operators!!! After snorkeling, Holokai set sail and we had a fantastic wind powered ride. it was great. I will use them again, and I will recommend them to my friends for when the come to Waikiki.

Dan and Chienko were amazing! We went out into the bay at three levels of experience, my wife who had never snorkeled is now hooked! The photos taken were great, the tour lasted just the right amount of time, and these cousins were super awesome to talk to and chill with.

I think it's probably one of the nicer spots in the ocean around Oahu. There were quite a few corals, the sandy areas were clean, and there were plenty of turtles, so I had a decent time. The food was good, considering it's America. The staff were friendly, which was nice. The singing uncle also added to the good atmosphere.

Ultimately, it all depends on the weather. Unfortunately, it was cold, and it rained the night before, making the water murky. I would recommend visiting during a time other than winter.

おそらくオアフ島の中の海の中でではきれいな方だと思う。サンゴもまあまああったし砂地は綺麗だし亀もたくさんいてそれなりには楽しめた。食事もアメリカだと思えば美味しいほう。スタッフも親切でよかった。歌のおじさんも雰囲気が良かった。

Standing in the middle of the ocean was a very precious experience!
Just being on the beach is beautiful, but with the clear sea and the sparkling blue sky, standing in the middle of the ocean made both the sky and sea feel vast, and the clouds felt really close!
There was also a Japanese guide, and some people were so good at swimming that it gave me a sense of security.
The bus guide on the way was very cheerful and made us laugh, which was entertaining.
The Japanese female guide on the boat also made us laugh and took commemorative photos for us.
The bus guide sang "Last Christmas" while playing the guitar on the neighboring boat, and listening to the music while eating freshly made hamburgers in the middle of the vast ocean was the best!!

生で体感する大自然は本当に美しいんだなと思いました！
海のど真ん中に立つのはとても貴重な体験でした！
ただビーチに居るだけでも美しいのに、あの透明の海に、キラキラのブルーの空、海の真ん中に立つと空も海も広く、雲も本当に近く感じました！
そして、日本人のガイドさんも居て、とても同じ人間とは思えないほど泳ぎの上手い方もいて安心感もありました。
そして、行きのバスガイドさんもとても陽気で笑わせてくれて面白かったです。
船に乗ってからの日本人の女性ガイドさんも笑わせてくれ、記念写真も撮って頂きました。
バスガイドさんが、隣りの船でラストクリスマスなどを弾き語りで歌ってくれて、広い海の真ん中で焼き立てのハンバーガーを食べながら弾き語りを聞くのは最高でした！！
余っていれば、ダブルバーガーやおかわりをさせて貰える事も。
海亀のチラッと泳いでいる所も見れましたし、シュノーケリングも主人はとても楽しんでいました！
本当に驚く程お魚や珊瑚が見れるそうですよ！感動していました！！（私は深い所は苦手なので出来ませんでしたが、それでも楽しめました！サンドバーは浅いので入れました！）
またハワイに行ったら絶対参加したい！と言っている程です！
ただ海に入った後船の上が寒いのでウィンドブレーカーを、それと簡単な物でも防水カメラなどもあると、より楽しめるかもしれません！
迷っている方は参加してみると良いかもしれません！
体験してみないと分からない事はありますからね。

The guide and the captain were funny people, and we had a great time filled with laughter.

「天使の海サンドバー！」ネーミングからして女子力高い！ウミガメが頭を出している所や泳いでいる所をボートから何回も見る事が出来ました。透き通るエメラルドグリーンのサンドバーを歩き、ダークグリーンに海の色が変わった所でのシュノーケリングで魚と一緒に泳いだり。ガイドさんが注意事項をしっかりと説明してくれたので安心してシュノーケリングできました。
ガイドさんや船長さんが面白い人で笑いが絶えず楽しい時間でした。

I participated with great expectations, having gone to bed early the night before and being fully prepared, knowing that I could go snorkeling while watching wild dolphins. We boarded the dolphin-numbered bus and traveled for about an hour to the port, where the guide was very entertaining. Listening to their stories made the time fly, and we arrived at the port in no time. It was mentioned in advance on the bus, but I think wearing a wetsuit is essential. Everyone in the group was wearing one. Once we entered the water and returned to the boat, it was quite cold even with the wetsuit on. There were several sizes of wetsuits available, and they asked for our preferences in advance, so it fit perfectly.

Upon arriving at the port, I first went to the restroom, then put on my wetsuit and boarded the boat. Once we were out at sea, we were able to see a seal first. There was just one, but it was very cute. Then, we finally reached the dolphin point. I was deeply moved to see a pod of dolphins right in front of me. There were probably around 100 of them, surrounding us on all sides. Among the dolphins, there were also baby dolphins.

That wasn't all. We moved to another point and were able to see sea turtles as well. On the way back to the port after snorkeling, the spam onigiri served on the boat was very delicious. I participated with my child who is under three years old. My husband and I planned to take turns going into the sea while one of us stayed on the boat with our child, but since the group went a bit far from the boat, that plan turned out to be difficult. In the end, we sat our son on a surfboard and both of us snorkeled with the other participants. At first, our child was scared and crying, but gradually he got used to it and said, "I'm not scared anymore." The staff were very kind to our youngest son, holding him so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about him, and they were incredibly helpful.

The snorkeling spot had clear water and was a great experience. It seemed to be full, so the boat felt a bit crowded, but the amount of food was sufficient, and during snorkeling, everyone enjoyed their activities, so it didn't bother me at all. Also lucky enough to see Bottle Nose Dolphins and Humpback whales too. Only downside was getting a bit sea sick. The staff looked after my phone while I fed the fish and took a great selfie

My wife and I went to this adventure hoping to have a great time and see some fish here and there while snorkeling but these guys got us a great tour and we saw a ton of fish near the coral reef where they took us. The staff is super friendly and fun plus. The food was right on point and we loved they even gave us some hot chocolate after the swim to warm us up a bit.
Jenner and the captain are super friendly, I would love to go back and see them again when I go back to Hawaii.

It's been about a month since I returned from Hawaii, and it has become my best memory. The instructor and the couple in my group were very friendly and it was a lot of fun! I participated at the end of November. Despite the unfortunate weather, it became a fun memory. I attended with my 2-year-old daughter, and I am truly, truly grateful for the kindness of the staff. The tour was quite cold due to the cloudy weather. Everyone on the tour was Japanese. There was one Japanese guide and a few locals from Hawaii. The Japanese guide mainly led the tour. During the sea turtle watching, we were able to see several sea turtles. After the photo session at the sandbar, we went snorkeling. It was cold! (laughs) Since we were snorkeling in a large group, honestly, we couldn't see anything due to the sand. I had imagined beautiful fish and coral, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. A light meal of sandwiches and chips, along with warm drinks, was also provided. I hope to go on a nice weather day next time!

Our accommodation was at Hilton Hawaiian Village, but the pickup was at Ilikai Hotel (meeting at 9 AM). I was surprised to find that the pickup vehicle was a large bus instead of a van. I understood why the meeting point was in front of Ilikai Hotel, as it must be difficult to enter the narrow pickup area at Hilton. After that, we stopped at several hotels, and by the time we headed to the port, the bus was almost full. We arrived at the port in about an hour. After that, we took a boat to the sandbar. Since it wasn't low tide, even in shallow areas, the water depth was up to my knees, but the scenery was beautiful. We then had lunch with hamburgers topped with grilled patties on the boat, moved to a spot where sea turtles frequently appear for turtle watching from the boat, and then went to a large coral reef for snorkeling. Here, we were able to see many fish and turtles. However, I think the coral and sea in Ishigaki Island, where I go diving every year, might be prettier (though it probably depends on the day's conditions). After returning to the port, we switched to a bus and went back to the hotel (we returned to the hotel around 3 PM). When we got off the boat, the Japanese guide asked for a tip, which made me wonder if it wasn't included in the tour fee. 宿泊先がヒルトンハワイアンビレッジでしたが、ピックアップはイリカイホテルでした。（9時に集合）迎えの車をワゴン車だと思っていたら、大型バスでびっくり。ヒルトンの狭い送迎場所に入りにくいのだろうなと、集合場所がイリカイホテル前だったことを納得しました。その後、数ヵ所のホテルに寄り、港に向かう時にはバスがほぼ満席になっていました。港には1時間程度で到着。その後、船でサンドバーへ。サンドバーは、干潮でなかったため、膝程度まで浅いところでも水深がありましたが、きれいな景色が広がっていました。その後、船上で焼き上げたパテをのせたハンバーガーの昼食、ウミガメがよく出没するポイントに移動して船上からのウミガメ見学、大きなサンゴ礁に移動してシュノーケルを行いました。ここでは、たくさんの魚や亀を見ることができました。ただ、毎年ダイビングに行く石垣島のほうが珊瑚や海はきれいかな。（その日のコンディションにもよるのでしょうが）その後、港にもどり、バスに乗り換え、ホテルに戻りました。（ホテルに戻ったのが15時くらい）船を降りるときに、日本人のガイドにチップを求められた時は、ツアー料金に含まれていないの？と疑問が沸いて来ましたので、同じveltraのツアーでチップ込のツアーもあったりしますので、皆さん確認はされたほうがいいかもしれません。

The entire crew was amazing! They were thoughtful, attentive, and caring the entire trip. Several people aboard were sick to their stomach due to rough, choppy water, but the crew was so sweet to those having problems. They were quick to serve, offer, and pick up food items, drinks, etc. I'd definitely take a tour with this company again. They get 5 stars for customer satisfaction and service.

I made a reservation for a "Cruise & Sea" experience to help my husband, who has never been to Hawaii, fall in love with it. The weather was quite changeable, but during lunch and the timing at the sandbar, it cleared up beautifully, and it felt wonderful. We even saw sea turtles!

I didn't go snorkeling; instead, I relaxed on the boat, enjoying the scenery and reading, which was also nice. My husband was enjoying the beautiful views on the Angel's Sea Cruise as well!

When we went from the boat to the sandbar, we had to swim a little in the water, and I thought it would have been better if we could have just stepped onto the sand directly. (I guess it might not be possible because it's a large boat.)

Since I went to the Big Island, I absolutely wanted to see a manta ray! With high spirits, I joined this tour. I was really excited until I got into the water, but... since it was December, the water temperature was cold, and the waves were quite strong, so the conditions weren't great. Once I got in the water, it was really cold, and even though I took motion sickness medication, I ended up feeling seasick. I stayed in the water for 30 minutes, determined to see at least one manta ray, and I was able to see a few! The excitement I felt when I saw them was truly beyond words! However, I couldn't last until the end and had to get back on the boat after 30 minutes, feeling groggy... but this is also a memory of my trip.

The instructor, Torichan, was a very cheerful Japanese person, which made me feel really at ease. They lent us their personal windbreaker since we were feeling seasick and offered us warm drinks.

It was easy to communicate in Japanese, which was nice.

I want to see manta rays up close again, so I think I'll try for a rematch during the warmer season!

海に入るまではノリノリでしたが…
12月という事もあって、水温は冷たくたまたま波のうねりも強く、とても良いコンディションとは言えませんでした。
海に入ると、とっても寒くて酔い止めを飲んでいましたが波酔いもしてしまいました。
一目でもマンタを見たいとねばり30分海に入ってて、数枚のマンタを見れました！
見た時の感動はほんとうに計り知れないものでした！
ただ、最後までは頑張れず30分で船に上がりグロッキー状態でしたが…笑
これも、旅の思い出です。
