Due to bad weather the day before, we weren't sure if the tour would take place until we arrived on site. Although we set sail, the rough sea caused many people to get seasick. Fortunately, my husband and I had taken motion sickness medication beforehand, so we were fine, but I recommend that even those who usually don’t get seasick take some medication when participating (laughs).

Until the last moment, we weren't sure if we would see dolphins, but the captain and the guide were very dedicated in searching for them, and we were able to see dolphins safely. Because the sea was rough, we could only dive once, but it was still a very satisfying experience. I would love to participate again when I go to Hawaii!

When we arrived at Sheraton's Point, we saw the shadow of a manta ray and immediately jumped into the water, but it never showed up. We held onto a flat rope while waiting, but it swayed with the waves and moved below, so it wasn't much support. Eventually, I grabbed onto the board directly. I was only breathing through my mouth, swaying up and down and side to side, and after half of the people got seasick and gave up to return to the boat, a few manta rays finally passed by, and that was the end of it. I chose a company that allows you to participate again if you don't encounter manta rays, but since I did see a few, I consider it a graduation of sorts. People who participated with two other companies on the same day said, "As soon as we got in the water, a manta did a flip right in front of us," and "We saw so many," which made it even more disappointing that we didn't have a day with manta rays. There were clouds on the horizon, and we were unlucky enough not to see the sunset, which was highly rated in the reviews.

I arrived at the port an hour early and while I was walking in the beautiful park by the coast, I was able to see two sea turtles basking in the sun. I highly recommend it. There was apparently only one manta ray, but it was amazing how it flipped and came right in front of me multiple times.

After watching a video about environmental awareness, we were mindful of our impact on fish and coral as we headed to the sea. With guidance from Dan and Chieko, we felt very safe and enjoyed snorkeling. Some of our group hadn't been in the ocean for years, but with the wetsuits we borrowed in advance, we swam close to the rocky areas without feeling anxious, allowing us to relax and enjoy swimming. We even encountered two turtles! We left the sea feeling very satisfied. Thank you for accommodating those who wanted to stop by Diamond Head along the way. While we were anxious about how President Trump's visit would affect our schedule, you provided various advice, and everyone was able to return safely to the hotel. Thank you for everything.

This excursion was our first snorkeling excursion in the Pacific Ocean, and it was our first excursion during our trip to O'ahu. The whole experience was outstanding. Veltra called us the day before to confirm the reservation and advise us where to meet the van and when. The driver from Kaimana Tours arrived within the allowed time period, and he was courteous and informative. He told us exactly what to expect when we arrived--including paying the $7.50 park admission fee (per person) completing the conservation education presentation (10-15 minutes, tops), and meeting him afterward (where and when). He passed around a chart of the types of sea life we would see in the bay. The view was breath-taking. The beach was beautiful. The staff were helpful and friendly. The snorkeling was great. Lifeguards were attentive--even using amplified sound at one point to caution some poor swimmers that they needed to move closer to the beach. Afterward, the driver met us when and where he had told us, and we were all on our way back to our hotels.

I highly recommend everyone to do this excursion! This was probably the highlight of my whole trip to O’ahu during 10/19-10/25. From the hospitality of the staff to the excursion activities itself, I would want to do this every time I come back!

I also met a gentleman (the one that provides entertainment during lunch) and he was making handmade bracelets with palm leaves. If any of the staff can help me out in getting in contact with him - because I recently lost my anklet he made when I came back to the mainland, that would be great!

Other than that, literally best time of my life!!

When we arrived at the harbor in Kaneohe Bay, we were hit by a torrential downpour and were worried about whether we could set out to sea, but it stopped after about 10 minutes and we were able to depart safely. The water level was a bit high that day, reaching up to our thighs at the shallowest point. Perhaps because of the rain, the water was cold and slightly murky, but we were able to enjoy the emerald green sea typical of a sandbar.

The hamburger for lunch was surprisingly delicious, and the staff were cheerful, creating a great atmosphere. During the sea turtle watching, we encountered not only sea turtles but also a rare manta ray, and while snorkeling, we were able to swim alongside the sea turtles. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience.

カネオヘ湾の港に着いたときに土砂降りの雨に見舞われ海に出れるか不安でしたが、10分ほどで止み無事に出港。この日は少し水位が高めで一番浅くて太ももあたりでした。雨が降ったからか水が冷たく少し濁り気味でしたが、サンドバーらしいエメラルドグリーンの海を楽しむことが出来ました。
ランチのハンバーガーも予想以上に美味しく、スタッフも明るくて良い雰囲気で過ごせました。
海ガメウォッチングで海ガメはもちろんレアなマンタに遭遇し、シュノーケリングでは海ガメと一緒に泳げたりと、総合的にはとても満足度が高かったです。

I was a little anxious about whether I could properly dive during my first snorkeling experience, but on the day of the event, I couldn't contain my excitement in front of the great outdoors and the ocean! The weather was a bit chilly with occasional light rain in the morning, so I was really glad I requested a wetsuit!

I personally think it's important to get used to the seawater, especially since I wasn't familiar with it. We practiced with a lecture and learned to put our faces in the water and dive in shallow areas, which allowed us to swim with schools of fish and enjoy snorkeling until the end! There was a little mishap where I lost my wedding ring underwater, and I regretted not taking it off before participating! I apologize for causing concern to the guide! It is recommended to do dolphin watching from the second floor, but when I participated, we were on a rather small boat that took the waves head-on, so everyone was feeling quite queasy. Motion sickness medication is a must! Even those who are confident should take it! There were some who still felt sick despite taking it. However, the dolphins are truly amazing. It feels more like being in the same space rather than swimming together, but there were so many of them! At first, I hesitated to jump off the boat, but if you get stuck there, it delays those behind you from jumping in, and someone at the back said they missed seeing the dolphins the first time. However, they do change the order for the second jump. The order of jumping is determined by where you sit, so if you can sit around the middle, you won't be last for both the first and second jumps, making it relatively easier to see the dolphins. I was a bit sad that there were no names like "Dolphin Teacher" or "Turtle Professor" as mentioned in the reviews (laughs), but it was the best experience!! The guide's love for Hawaii and nature really came through. Like a dolphin university, I don't need other activities, but I want to jump in about five times! I wanted to stay in the ocean even longer. It would be amazing if there were longer sessions (extra classes!? laughs)!! I definitely want to participate again.

が、最高でした！！ガイドさんが、ハワイや自然を愛しているのが伝わってきました。
イルカ大学みたいに、他の種目はいらないけど、5回位飛び込みたい！もっともっと海に居たかったです。中学の内容でもっと長く(居残り授業！？笑)があれば最高です！！
また是非参加したいです。

この日はラッキーで船で移動してすぐにイルカと遭遇しました。そしてそのまま移動することなく１時間程泳いでました。
イルカもジャンプしてくれたり、サービス精神旺盛です。
水中は寝てる子と活動してる子がいて、活動してる子は気ままに水面に上がっては近づいての繰り返し。寝てる子は深いところでプカプカ。
イルカのキュイキュイという声があちらこちらで聞こえていて、とても貴重な体験となりました。
もしかしたらもうすぐ中止になってしまうかもしれないツアーですが、参加できて本当に良かった。
ちなみに泳げなくても浮具を貸してくれるので参加できます。ハワイにいったら絶対やったほうがいいです！
最後に、帰り送っていただいた船長さん、コナのことも色々教えて頂いて、本当にありがとうございました(*^^*)
