Our family of 4, with twin 11 yos thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Trevor and Tamae went above and beyond making sure everyone was taken care of. We saw Manta Rays galore!! It was the most unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it!

I really enjoyed my experience. It’s not just snorkeling but they had paddle boats, water tube, a mat that allowed you to lay out in the ocean. The lunch cruise had grilled hornet burgers with soft buns. The drinks were tasty! Crew was friendly but very strict when it came to the rules, however, everyone made it back home safely. Great experience with my family!

Was windy but still pushed on through and made it to the sandbar. Awesome adventure and very beautiful. The water was super clear. Saw corals, and the beautiful scenery which opened my eyes to the wonders of Hawaii!

What a wonderful way to spend a day!

Crew and staff of Cap'n Bruce's were amazing and welcoming, making everyone from kids to adults feel safe and comfortable, was so fun! The sandbar is exceptional and shouldn't be missed. I was surprised at how uncrowded it was. Highly recommended.

You have to get the deluxe package though. The slide is lots of fun. Jumping off the second story. Kayaking, paddle board.
Lots to do beside the snorkeling.
The snorkeling can be hit and miss depending on current and boat position. Make sure you ask the crew where the reef is located. Otherwise it will be hard to see any marine life.

The experience was far better then we could have imagined. This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Everyone was so nice and did a great job at guiding and explaining everything. You truly get to enjoy every moment and not feel rushed. We were super surprised we got to see so many sea turtles, we were not expecting to see any so that was such a nice surprise. I would highly recommend this tour.

We heard about this activity through an acquaintance, so I looked into it. I have been on Oahu 8+ times and have never done this activity. Highly recommend this activity as it was easy check in at the dock. The ride to sandbar itself was a quick ride on the boat. Staff were very friendly and you are able to bring your own alcoholic drinks onto the sandbar. Enjoyed our time snorkeling and hanging out in the sandbar itself. Very unique experience!

Snorkeling review

The crew was great. The website said to bring snacks and drinks which we did but they had some on the boat for all which was a plus. The water was high tide and not so clear. We were hoping. the coral and water would be much clearer. Not captains fault. The only thing thing that we did not like was the boat did not have flippers. Snorkeling gear should have flippers. You can get around better. We did see some turtles even though the water was murky.

The guides who helped us set up were very polite and helpful, let us know where to go to see the most fish, and we had an amazing time snorkeling around coral, fish, sea cucumbers and then we even saw two sea turtles right next to our kayak, which was a highlight of our vacation. highly recommend

Loved the boat tour !

Tony and Cam were very friendly and humorous. They stopped at all the amazing places. We took the 8:30 AM tour and got to see dolphins, turtles, beautiful caves and multiple waterfalls. Snorkeling was fun and could see coral reef and many types of fishes. I would highly recommend Makana Charters to my friends and family.

Such a great time! Played volleyball and then had some burgers. Totally recommend!! Was able to swim the reef three times. Saw so many turtles and even some eels. Loved the crew and had a blast. Would totally do again.
